  Best Day of Our Lives

  We chose the Bushnell Theater for our wedding as it held sentimental value for our family and it was a unique, "not-your-typical" wedding venue. From the multiple beautiful spaces (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception), to the responsiveness and professionalism of the staff was unparalleled. Our wedding was out of an absolute dream and I wish I could live that day over and over again.

  Perfect Venue

  Everything about The Bushnell was perfect for our Wedding! We wanted a venue that had perfect acoustics and you can't get much better than a Theater! One of our pet peeves is being at an event and not being able to have a conversation or to pay for a Band that doesn't sound good because of the acoustics - that was not a problem at The Bushnell. We had our ceremony in one room; our cocktail reception in another room and our dinner/dancing reception on the Theater stage. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the venue and the ease of the evening. We can not say enough about the staff - they were there to accommodate anything we needed and they did so with such professionalism and graciousness! Max catering at the venue was wonderful - everyone gushed over the food! We want to thank everyone involved at The Bushnell for helping to make our Wedding simply MAGICAL!

  Perfection!

  My husband and I held our wedding at The Bushnell in December and it was the best decision we have ever made! Domingo and his team put on a flawless event that appeared to effortlessly pull off a million tiny detailed requests! I'm not sure why there isn't a wedding there every day because it is the perfect place to accommodate events of any size while offering unique backdrops of beautiful historic decor, with all imaginable modern accommodations. I have never worked with a more dedicated group of individuals who genuinely cared about creating some of the happiest memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. The food (Max Catering) was exquisite the team ensured that we actually had a chance to eat! Based on the availability of the theatre the night of our wedding our guests were even able to take a tour behind stage during the cocktail hour while they enjoyed drinks and light refreshments. My only regret is that I haven't come up with a reason to plan another big event with this incredible team again yet.

  I cannot say enough about how perfect the Bushnell was as a venue for our wedding. If you can imagine it, Cathy and the staff can make it happen. Our ceremony was in the Seaverns Room, the cocktail hour in the Autorino Great Hall, and the reception was on the Belding Stage. Everything flowed perfectly and every detail was attended to. As the curtain opened for the big reveal of the stage with the tables, lights and effects, and custom backdrop, all of our guests were in awe. We happened to book a weekend when no other shows were going on in any of the other rooms or theaters, so we pretty much took over the entire theater. Cathy was great to work with and very flexible and accommodating to all of our needs. Our day started early as we got ready in the dressing rooms, and ended late as we partied into the night. Note you will have to pay stagehands if you decide to use the stage, but it is well worth it, and they will make anything you'd like happen. Catering is provided by the Max Restaurant Group exclusively, and the food was amazing. Its been almost 3 weeks since, and everyone is still talking about how much fun they had and how the space was perfect. Going into it, most of our guests and people in general were not able to imagine what a wedding on a stage could be like. But we could see the endless possibilities, and after the wedding all of our guests were astounded by how perfect of an evening it was. I'm just sad its over.... :(

  This is a great and unique venue. My husband and I didn't want a banquet hall or the typical spot. The Bushnell has a great space with a beautiful Chahuly glass chandelier that looks gorgeous at night. It also gives you a great opportunity to take some pictures in the Park and by the Capital building.
  Cathy Stephens at the Bushnell is the best! The day of your event, you don't have to think of anything - she takes care of making sure everything and everyone is in the right place at the right time. We forgot the garter and Cathy and her colleague Angela fashioned a (very stylish!) one out of ribbon and decorations - that was frankly better than the one I bought! They are also very flexible in terms of seating arrangements, will let you stop by to check out the room, and are happy to answer your questions at a moment's notice, even if she is on vacation. She made sure our party was well-cared for and that the guests had everything they needed - several guests commented that there was always a staff member asking if they needed anything over the course of the evening. Please note that the Bushnell works exclusively with Max's Catering for all its events, which was great - you can bring in an independent vendor for your wedding cake.

  Our original venue for our wedding ceremony closed last minute and we were without a place to get married. We looked into the Bushnell and the Seaverns Room there. Kristin was awesome to work with and was so helpful in assisting us in booking the room and solving our problem. We both say that getting married here was the best thing that could have happened. the room itself was gorgeous but they also allowed us to take pictures around the building due to the fact that it rained. Everything came out beautifully and they were so helpful before and after the ceremony to make sure that everything went perfectly. I highly recommend looking into the Bushnell for your wedding!
