Our experience with Alan was fantastic. He was professional, responsive, very flexible and understanding to our specific needs regarding our wedding photo shoot. The pictures and video of our wedding ceremony on Fort Myers Beach was phenomenal and a great experience. Outstanding!

The British Photographer, Alan, captured my daughter’s wedding day so beautifully. He somehow seemed to be everywhere all at once. As most weddings go, we blinked, and it was over. But we were able to relive it so beautifully and preserve our freshly minted memories from Alan’s gorgeous photos. Not only did they capture the beautiful, setting and people, but the personalities. On top of being very talented, he is also a genuinely kind, funny, and soulful person. We loved working with him! He is very gifted, and I highly recommend him!

Professional and personable

Alan did an amazing job with our engagement and wedding photos! He and his 2nd shooter, Ruben, were professional, but so fun to be around which kept everyone comfortable having pictures taken throughout the night. Alan was even able to figure out a solution for my husband's chronic awful facial expressions in pictures! They made sure to take pictures of everyone. We couldn't be happier with the pictures we've gotten so far and can't wait to see the full wedding album!

The best photographer in SWFL!

We were recommended to Alan at The British Photographer through our DJ, and I could not have been happier to receive that recommendation! We instantly connected with Alan and knew he would be the perfect one to capture our day. On my wedding day, he arrived right on time with his assistant Robin and got right to work. They were both communicative throughout the evening, which kept me in line with my timeline as best as possible. My entire family has mentioned to me what an amazing job they did, and we have only received our preview gallery! We can't wait to see more, and are so glad we chose Alan to capture our day!

Highly recommend as Videographer!!

Alan was incredible!

If you are looking for a vendor to go above and beyond to make the product personal to you then Alan is perfect. He clearly takes pride in his work and his product is so incredibly personal to us and our situation that I was absolutely thrilled.
Simply cannot beat if for the price. We got a 7 minute trailer and full length video of our ceremony and the special moments of the reception. They are artistic and beautiful. He captured beautiful details and mannerisms of guests and family members. He even attended our ceremony rehearsal the day before to get a few shots and plan out the lighting and angles. My sister recited an incredibly moving poem at our reception and Alan took the initiative to use the high quality sound as a voice-over on our wedding trailer. Truly artistic and would recommend his videography to anyone!

Photographer with Flair!!

Allan and his staff were very professional. They were there for the pre-wedding planning and always answered promptly via text, phone or email. They did a great job of creating a casual atmosphere, making everyone comfortable and were not at all intrusive. They captured some of most creative and candid photos of a wedding I have ever seen. He planned with the bride and groom about timing for the sunset on the deck and made sure that everyone was included and showcased. I would highly recommend him.

From the moment that we met with Alan, we knew that he and his team would be amazing to work with. He is very personable and gets to know the couple as more than just clients. Alan met with us several times prior to the wedding, he sent texts, emails and phone calls to follow up with us, check if we needed anything before the wedding or to just catch up. Neither my husband or I are very artistic and so we put our full trust and faith in Alan and his team. On our wedding day, Alan, George, Robyn and Jen arrived to our hotel really early to capture the guys and girls getting ready. Jen and Robyn stayed with the girls and they were absolutely phenomenal. My niece was overwhelmed and having a rather rough start to the day and both Robyn and Jen did an amazing job of not only entertaining her with their silly poses and letting her twirl her dress for them, they captured some beautiful photos that will forever be precious memories. My husband, father, father-in-law and all of our bridal party thoroughly enjoyed working with the photographers and videographers. Our best man made the most truthful comment "every time there was an amazing photo/video opportunity no one had to go find a photographer or videographer, they were already right there to capture every moment. Our videos and photographs turned out absolutely phenomenal, they captured not only the purest and most heartfelt moments of such an important day, but some of the silliest and best memories we will forever hold dear to our hearts.
Alan, George, Robyn and Jen, we are forever thankful for the opportunity to work with you all. Your talent and love for wedding photography really showed not only during our wedding but in the pictures and video we got back. Alan and Betzy are truly amazing and so much fun to work with! The minute my husband and I met with them we knew we would hire them. At the first meeting they explained everything with us and we felt as if we were speaking with long time friends. We felt they really got to know us and get a feel for what we wanted on our wedding day. They completed our engagement session at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami. The day was long and hot but they made it so much fun. Alan and Betzy were fantastic at picking the perfect spots to take pictures and captured beautiful moments. The drive was about two and a half hours away from them but they made the trip for us with no hesitation. The engagement pictures all came out beautifully and we received many compliments on them. Alan was very professional and precise about everything including the engagement shoot, attending the wedding rehearsal, and being with us for the entire wedding day. Alan and Betzy arrived at the wedding in the morning and attended the entire event. They were one of the last people to leave the wedding venue. They captured so many wonderful moments and we could not imagine our wedding day without them. Every picture came out beautiful and the two wedding videos perfectly captured our day. Our wedding videographer, Jen, was amazing and really captured those little moments. We could not have asked for better photographers and videographers for our wedding! We will definitely be hiring Alan and Betzy for any future photography needs! Any brides looking for beautiful wedding photos and a wonderful person to capture their day should hire The British Photographer!

AMAZING!!! Seriously there are no words to describe how grateful I am to have found Alan! After waiting 10 years to marry the love of my life, I truly only cared about the dress and the photographer! Thank goodness because my hair/makeup artist showed up 2 hours late and a person short, the DJ never returned my calls/met me, and the weather was so bad that we couldn't go out on our dolphin cruise. None of that was going through my head that day thanks to Alan & Robyn! While getting my hair done I could hear Alan telling my daughter how to pose, and thinking I wish I could see them and how cute those pictures would be. While getting my makeup done, Robyn was on her knees removing toe nail polish that I forgot to take off. They were both like family taking care of me and making sure I ate and had water. Alan was telling the crew what was happening next and what songs they needed to have the DJ play. I don't know what we would have done without him! I really wanted sunset pictures on the beach and it was not happening on our wedding day. Alan graciously offered to come back if we didn't mind getting dress up again to take those pictures. Of course not! :) I can't express how thankful I am that he did that! Not to mention getting the pictures back in less than a month! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for making our day & our pictures unforgettable! We hope to see you in the future...maybe for baby #2 gender reveal! :)

My Experience with Alan and Betzy was amazing!!!! WOW is all I can say. They were extremely friendly, outgoing, upbeat, helpful. I couldn't not ask for anything better they amazed me! They are wonderful people that do incredible work! I count them more as really good friends even family now! They worked so hard, Alan came early and left late, he was so dedicated and so amazing to work with. They made my day. No words can fully capture how thankful we are that we hired the British Photographer for our wedding. With all the vendors involved in coordinating a wedding The British Photographer was hands down the best investment we made into our wedding. They don't take anything for granted and their attention to detail is second to none!!

He attended every pre wedding meeting with all of our other vendors to ensure the timeline was perfect and that a single shoot wasn't missed. Once hired they are committed to your event whatever that may be. For us they were with us from sunrise to the departure of the get away car at the end of the night, absolutely nothing was missed.

When we received our wedding album and actually saw the pictures for the first time we were beyond elated, we were shocked at how well ALL the photos came out!! If you are considering a Photographer for your wedding or any special occasion you want captured you MUST hire the British Photographer, I can promise you, you won't be disappointed. Knowing what I know now I would have easily paid double for the product we received!!

If you want to have amazing photo memories of your wedding, Alan is the photographer you need to hire. Alan took amazing pictures both during our intimate ceremony and the candid shots after. He was early to our ceremony to check the lighting at the beach and he started to work as soon as my wife and I showed up. He covered all the details during the ceremony, down to the rings. His ideas for candid shots after the ceremony were great.

Alan sent the private link to the photo gallery within 3 days, and the gallery included some pictures with black and white effects that look awesome. We look at the pictures every day and every time we are amazed again by the quality of the pictures.

What can I say about Alan and Betzy? I am at a loss of words as to how they helped to make this day special. See pictures were very important to our wedding day. My husband does not particularly like pictures and I now have so many spectacular pictures that I don't know what to do with them!
I went through the process of finding a photographer by looking at reviews. My mother in-law actually brought up The British Photographer and we couldn't find ANY bad reviews or anything to not to go ahead and book them!
Originally I was just to have one photographer and then Alan and Betzy were so sweet and they offered to both be there for the same price because we got along so well at the first meet up. I also used Betzy's recommendation for dress alterations, which ended up being perfect!
My guests could not stop raving about the photographers at the wedding. I was constantly asked "When are you getting those pictures?" I even had one friend told me that this was the first time that she felt the photographers made her feel like an important guest.
Overall I was very pleased and happy. I am overwhelmed with joy, and right now am in heaven reliving my wedding again and again with your pictures. Thank you so much Alan and Betzy... I highly recommend The British Photographer!

Wow, amazing photgraphers! I can't even begin to say how awesome of a job they did. Every detail, every event, and every guest was included in our portfolio. The pictures were breathtaking, and very unique. I did a vintage style wedding and they captured every unique detail and special moment. The way they captured the background of the sky was absolutely breathtaking in our after-ceremony pics. I've never seen the sky look so unique and gorgeous! I truly feel we chose the best photographers! They were fun and friendly...so glad we got to meet them! For our budget, I was amazed we got such awesome and complete photography services. I could not believe how many photos they took as well. We are so extremely happy we chose them. They made our wedding memories perfect! They are the best photographers I've ever met! I have never been so proud or excited to give someone such a rave review as I am for Alan. If you want a photographer who will not only take the best photos, but will be so personable and make your wedding day that much more special, Alan is your man. I found him on wedding wire, and he was so responsive, helped me plan for the photos I wanted and helped me make a package that met my needs. This was just the start. When I met Alan, he was ready to go - snapping away at the photos, looking at every detail, emotional moment, and everything, big and small. Not only did I walk away with a huge selection of photos, every one of them was stellar!

What really made Alan the best was his personality. He took the time to get to know us, and really takes pride in making the best photo situations possible. Not only was he our photographer, he helped to highlight our day, put smiles on our faces and was a great conversationalist. I thoroughly enjoyed having Alan at our wedding - he wasn't just a vendor to us, he became our guest.

From the moment I met Alan he was so warm and charming, he listened to what my Fiancé and I wanted and gave great suggestions. I can't begin to explain how AMAZING Alan and Betzy were. They usually like to meet in person with clients but I was planning the wedding from Australia so we planned a time to skype. As soon as we started to talk I know I had picked the right photographers for our wedding! Alan and Betzy came to the resort where we were getting married for our rehearsal so they could better plan out specific shots they wanted to get and plan where the videographers would go. We also used the photobooth they provided. Our guests had a blast with it and so did we! We got our photos back actually quicker than I was expecting and they were absolutely remarkable! And the video they put together for us captured our wedding day perfectly! I didn't realize how close I would become with vendors over the wedding planning process and I'm so blessed that I was fortunate enough to work with these wonderful people!

There are simply not enough words to describe how much Alan and Betzy have already done for my fiancé and I. They are truly wonderful people that genuinely care about the quality of their professionalism and service they deliver to their clients. To my mom and I they are more than just photographers, they're now friends. We have only taken our engagement photos, but they stood out in the oppressive heat of Southwest Florida in the middle of the summer for 2 hours just so that my fiancé and I received the engagement pictures we wanted.
Our wedding is only two short months away, but I know that they will do a phenomenal job with those photos, I'm not even the slightest bit worried about submitting an early review.

Alan and Betzy were nothing short of amazing. From our first meeting with them, right down to the wedding. Everything they said they were going to do, they did, with a smile! When we had concerns about the ceremony and pictures, Alan met us the next day to go over everything. He even made it a point to come to our rehearsal dinner so he had an opportunity to meet the family, friends and bridal party. What a joy and privilege to have Alan as our photographer and Betsy to help me on my way to find "my dress". We like these two great people so much, we have continued the relationship into a real friendship. Believe me, it isnt hard to fall in love with them as professional & honest people!

Alan and Betzy are awesomeeee! don't think twice about it, you should just go with them!! Alan's service is excellent, and he always responds to his email and text right away. Alan came to our rehearsal to get familiar with the church, and he already knew the reception location (in fact, the reception coordinating manager recommended Alan even before we sat down with him). And true story: we met up with Alan months before the wedding, and we found out that my wife actually got her dress from Betzy's shop! That's the sign from heaven that we definitely need to go with Alan! and you should too! and go by Betzy's shop, i heard its awesome (i wasn't allowed to go, of course). and Betzy was there for our wedding, and she is awesomeeee too (maybe even awesome-r than Alan :D). You WILL LOVE them both! and of course....the wedding pictures are wonderful, especially our beach, sunset and sparkler pictures!

Alan and Betzy were a dream come true. I'm not really being overly dramatic. I love the photographers I work with here in Chicago - so when I decided to have my wedding on the beach in Fort Myers, I was dreading finding a photographer from scratch. I don't have any relationships there.

Alan met me beforehand at a Starbucks and we were able to talk about the families, the pictures I wanted, the feel of the day.... that was great. I didn't feel like he was a stranger on the day of my wedding.

On my wedding day, Alan and Betzy were WARM, friendly, loving, generous, humble and always very professional. They felt like family. Betzy even cleaned my jewelry a little, saying she wanted everything perfect for me. She gave me a few tips to make me open up a little with the pictures... they stayed all night when I told them they didn't have to...

We received a product that was better than the price we paid. You can't say that often.

Alan once again delivered another amazing session!! He took our engagement and wedding pictures which were amazing!! We of course decided to have him take pictures of the newest member of our family... Our new baby girl. He was so patient with our feisty little one and captured precious moments! I was absolutely taken back by the beautiful pictures and video they captured. Alan and Betzy were there from start to finish literally. When I initially called them about a year ago in our wedding planning stages to all the way through the end of our wedding night. It takes real passion and experience to deal with such a big group and they were able to capture every special moment. We're totally obsessed with watching are video and trailer they composed. The trailer was put together separately and showed like an actual movie trailer which just melted are hearts. They also went above and beyond with capturing the most elegant pictures and poses of us. Alan also came up with a new twist on incorporating karoke onto video with a photo booth. This was AWESOME! We had a blast! Everyone was able to dress up in props and sing onto video clips. (Hilarious!). We will be able to cherish all of this forever. The British Photographer and crew were impeccable! We are their biggest fans and will continue to recommend them to everyone we know! Alan and Betzy are so amazing. On our wedding day they stayed a little extra to capture the moments that meant so much to us. Alan was wonderful!! He was alot of fun, brought out our personalities in our photos, and spent alot of time with us! The photos came out beyond beautiful!!! He was awesome and patient to work with. We kept Alan and Betsy shooting for 10 hours at my daughters wedding yesterday. They took the time to get too know our family as they spent the day with us. They made sure to get all of the special shots the bride and groom requested. I cannot wait to see the finished product!

The British Photographer was AMAZING! My husband and I met him at our friends wedding and loved his work and work ethic. We decided to book him to capture some moments for our little boundle of joy. Alan and Betzy were amazing to work with right from the very start. We connected with them so well at the first meeting that it was impossible not to want to have them as our photographer. They shared so much passion for the event and excitement to be able to capture it for us. They even included a free engagement session so that we could get to know each other more! They attended the rehearsal as prep for the big day which put me, the bride, at ease. Having them there the day of the wedding was great. Alan and Betsy are a great couple and amazing photographers. When me and my fiancé were looking for photographers we contacted quite a few. Alan responded the same day as my inquiry and we set up a meeting time. Alan's prices and packages are a great deal. When my fiancé and I first met Alan we absolutely loved him. He is so fun and outgoing. He knows exactly how it is looking for a photographer and offers his services for a great price and you get a flash drive with the pictures on it after your event. It was perfect. We did our engagement shoot at Koreshan park. Alan was willing to do and try anything, even a photo with my fiancé jumping in the air he was able to capture. It was a great experience. On the wedding day him and his wife and partner Betsy were there hours before the ceremony in order to capture all of the before activities. While Betsy stayed with the girls, Alan went to see the boys. It was great to have pictures of all of us getting ready! They stayed late into the night to capture all of our special moments at the ceremony. The pictures came out great! My family and I spent hours laughing, crying, and aweing at the pictures. We couldn't have asked for a better team than Alan and Betsy. We are so happy with the experience and pictures!!

The British Photographer are a husband and wife team! They are beyond amazing with their photography. They both followed me on the biggest day of my life getting all of the important pictures: something blue, something borrowed, something old, something new, every detail of my wedding accessories. They were even at my salon for my hair and makeup! It was awesome being in the spotlight all day! Eventually they break off and Alan follows the boys around taking getting ready photos and Betzy stays back with the Bride and her girls! They were both amazing on our wedding day and when we did our engagement pictures with them. At first we felt weird having our picture taken for the engagement photo shoot, but they make you feel really relaxed and next thing you know you are having fun like old friends.

If you dream of having 2 amazing photographers at your wedding capturing all of the special details of your lives on the most important day ever, you want to hire The British Photographer! Their ideas are so unique and the quality of their photos is absolutely gorgeous.

It was a pleasure to meet Alan and Betsy and they are phenomenal wedding photographers. First their price is fair, second they provide a great deal of value for that price, and finally they are wonderful people that can adapt to new situations.

Our new situation was we were having an outdoor wedding in Naples in November and of course, we picked the single day that month where it rained. It rained all day! Alan rolled with the punches, found a nice poncho in the car and was able to snap photos while protecting his equipment.

We had to improvise on the settings of where our wedding photos would be taken. After the ceremony, Alan and Betsy found some nice indoor settings. We hoped to take many of our pics in the beautiful palm grove, but that wasn't a possibility thanks to the rain.

My final impression is Alan and Betsy are wonderfully charming and interesting people. They stuck around pretty much the entire time and took some great pics of the reception as well. Their pictures turned out remarkable and it was a pleasure doing business with them. 5 stars out of 5 stars on everything! Thanks!

Alan was fantastic! My Husband and I are from Philadelphia, so we were planning this wedding blindly- not having been to Sanibel, and certainly not knowing any of the vendors we were picking-so we were a little nervous. I found Alan on Weddingwire, and just had to contact him because my Husband is British! We contacted many photographers, and didn't get a lot of great responses because we were a planning our wedding very quickly, and very last minute. Alan was great. He never even mentioned how last minute we were. He treated us as if we had reserved him over a year ago. We met the day before our wedding to chat and get a feel for each others styles. The day of was a breeze. I didn't have to worry about asking for certain shots or worrying something was being missed. One thing that Alan does differently than any photographer i've seen (which i thought was a benefit)- he doesn't give you every single picture he shoots. He picks the best of the best and sends you those. I remember going through my sisters pictures and just being so overwhelmed because we didn't have time to pick through 3000 pics, and by the time we did, we couldn't remember half of what we had seen. We just received our pictures from Alan and we had a little over 200. They are all perfect. I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Alan to anyone!

I can not rave about Alan and Betsy enough! They are extremely professional and always very timely on getting back to me. They day of my wedding they worked 12 hours making sure they caught every moment from getting ready in the morning to the very last dance at the reception. By the end of the night all of our guests knew their names and we're absolutely in love with their personalities and work ethic. The British Photographer provided outstanding photographic services for my daughter's wedding. Both the quality and creativity of the work was exceptional. He was easy to deal with, showed up promptly at the scheduled time and stayed to ensure that the array of photographs taken covered the event thoroughly. His wife assisted in the entire process and made some excellent contributions to the effort. Finally, we received the finished product very quickly. He also took pictures at an earlier family event and all the comments above would be applicable to that event as well. Alan and Betzy became a special part of our wedding. We felt a connection to them the first day we met. We knew they would bring the best out of our event in images and videos. My husband and I just received our Wedding DVD in the mail, after looking through all of our beautiful pictures for the last few days. The video was above and beyond anything that we could have hoped for! You chose all of the right scenes, and had our song playing throughout the entire thing. We were absolutely blown away. There is not enough time to explain how wonderful and amazing the British photographers are! From the beginning they were everything I could want and ask for and so much more. We met several times before my wedding to go over what was expected and they fully met every expectation that I had and then some. Having more than one photographer on your special day is the way to go. At least one was with me and one was with my husband to be most of the time, so every moment is captured throughout the day. Besides being 100% professional they are also 100% friendly and kind. It was as if they were a part of my family that day. We were more than impressed with their work. Alan, Betzy & George were in full gear from start to finish with our wedding. They helped us with some perfect shots as well as listening to us when we proposed picture request to them. Alan and Betzy were referred to my by the DJ. I met with them 2 weeks prior to the ceremony, and they explained in detailed their services and fees. They checked the place prior to the ceremony and the day of the ceremony provided a lot of suggestions and ideas for better pictures and poses.
