Wedding Desserts

When starting our search for a wedding dessert, we were looking for a bit of a less conventional wedding dessert - a cookie cake. I reached out to several bakeries, and BonBonerie was one of the only ones that was able to work with our request. I worked with Allison, who was amazing - she answered my many, many questions and helped when I changed my mind on what I was looking for (which happened A LOT - sorry!). We decided on a cookie cake, a raspberry cake, and a chocolate latte cake for our wedding, and they were all so delicious. We also had one decorated cake which turned out beautifully! Overall, Allison and the team were amazing to work with and super accomodating. Highly recommend hiring the BonBonerie for your wedding desserts!

Wedding day June 8th 2024

Hi I am Charlotte and my significant other Cory got married June 8th 2024 at the Savana center west Chester and bonbonerie helped us with a cake it was three tier cake and I drew a design and they were able to work with me to create what was in the sketch and to add a little bit to that on the cake, which made the cake gorgeous!!! I recommend them absolutely I actually grew up eating the cake as a kid and I wanted something that was special so I picked them to do the wedding cake! The flavors they have are very wonderful too for cake the strawberry and the coffee and the lemon are absolutely so amazing!!!

Awesome Wedding Cake

My family has utilized the BonBonerie since I was a child for special events and it was a no-brainer to select them for our wedding day… We went with a three-tier cake and they did a wonderful job incorporating the florist’s flowers on the cake for our special day. Pistachio and amaretto are wonderful flavors that were unexpectedly delightful! Highly recommend!

Cake perfection!

I have been going to the BonBonerie ever since I was a little girl, and I always knew I wanted them to do my wedding cake. My husband and I did sample a few other wedding cake places just in case, but both agreed hands down on the BonBonerie. Allison was wonderful to work with and I knew I was in good hands. We ended up choosing the Chocolate Latte and Pistachio Cream for our flavors and both were outstanding! Both the look and taste of the cake were perfection! We received many compliments from our guests. Thank you again!

Delicious!!!

We always knew we wanted a BonBonerie cake for our wedding. I grew up in Cincinnati and pretty much everyone in my family had BonBonerie wedding cakes. They were great to work with. When we did our tasting they let us taste a wide variety of flavors. All of them were delicious. When it came to the day of our wedding they delivered it right on time and took into account when we would be in the reception hall so they wouldn't disturb the event. We got MANY compliments on the cake. We actually bought extra amounts and go to-go boxes for our guests to take the cake home and that was a HUGE hit. We had very little leftovers. They were great to work with and the cake was DELICIOUS!

Beyond Delicious!

I will admit that I am not a cake person, so when we went to tastings I let my then fiance make all the decisions. Then came The BonBonerie and I was blown away. I never knew cake could taste so good. On top of that the service was amazing. Allison worked with me every step and she made the process easy. When the wedding day came the cake was perfect. I cannot recommend the BonBonerie enough. We will be going back very soon!

Best Wedding Cake Ever!`

Alison and Jacki provided exceptional service and the bride is still getting compliments on the taste of the cake! Thank you ladies for all you did to make my nieces wedding day so special! Would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

December Wedding Cake

Although we know they need no recommendations - The BonBoneire created the wedding cake of our dreams! Amanda was so great at the tasting letting us try everything and talking us through all of our options for decorations. This was easily the easiest vendor we worked with and we got tons of compliments on our cake!

BonBonerie was amazing! We got a three tiered cake and had a dessert bar as well. We received so many compliments on everything. The cake was delicious and all five of the desserts were delicious. Allison was super friendly and easy to work with. We had a vague idea of what we wanted and she really helped us figure out what would work best for us. She also worked with our florist in terms of cake decorations and delivery so that removed some stress from our day. The tasting was so good and the help was so wonderful that we actually put a deposit down immediately. There was no need to try any place else.

The tasting was great- it was private, we didn't feel rushed, and didn't feel pressured into making certain decisions. We wanted some unconventional colors, and they went with the flow without question. The cake was delivered to our venue. It was in perfect condition. We did a frosting instead of a fondant, and it still looked amazing. The details were gorgeous. Most importantly, it was delicious. We did two different flavors so our guests could have options. They were quick to respond when we had any questions and were very easy to work with. We will be getting a small cake from them on our future anniversaries!

Our cake was just stunningly beautiful but even better it tasted fantastic! We did a taste testing 3 months before the wedding and chose two flavors (Chocolate Rhapsody and Lemon Chiffon) for our 3 tier cake. It was a simple white frosting with fresh rose petals on it. As a testament to how much everyone loved our cake there was NONE left except for the top they saved for our anniversary and 2 pieces the caterer saved for the groom and me to eat at our reception later that night. We can't wait to eat our wedding cake next year and have it boxed up safely in the freezer to enjoy for just us! Thanks, BonBonerie for making our reception even more memorable with the best cake ever!

We expected the Bon Bonerie to be amazing, and they were. The service was incredible, and the cake was beautiful and delicious. It was also surprisingly well without our budget. I'd highly recommend!

I left making wedding cake appointments up to my fiance. This was the first place he booked for a tasting. I hadn't even looked up the menu/options until we were almost there. And when I did, I knew immediately why he had the biggest smirk on his face. :) I LOVE Opera Cream flavored Easter eggs- they are my favorite!!! So when my fiance saw that one of BonBonerie's signature cakes was Opera Cream, he knew I'd be thrilled. And he was sooo right! We did a tasting with Carol and we were blown away. We decided on Opera Cream and Strawberries & Cream flavors and they were a HUGE hit. Our guests devoured them and the venue could hardly cut the pieces quickly enough! We designed the cake with some of their example pics and some we'd brought with us and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. Thanks so much to Carol and Amber for the great communication and working with us to make our perfect cake dreams come true!

BonBonerie was a no brainer choice for our wedding cake. We went for the tasting, where they gave us full slices of tons of flavors, and fell in love. They also do a wonderful job with design. Also, prices are extremely reasonable! I am already looking forward to our anniversary when we can eat more of their cake.

My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from The Bonbonerie and it was perfect! Our tasting appointment was very helpful and personalized. We settled on a four tier buttercream cake with two flavors: white raspberry romance and opera cream. We received a lot of compliments and there were zero issues. Thanks!!!!

Absolutely delicious and beautiful cake! We were able to customize our design based off of designs they showed us in the store during our cake tasting. Compared to other bakers in the city, Bonbonerie's cake was the least expensive and the most tastey! Best cake in Cincinnati, hands down! (Price listed is per person)

Our cake was so beautiful and so delicious, we still have guests contacting us about it days after our wedding. The service we received from BonBonerie was stellar. Everyone went out of their way to make us happy. Of all the cakes we tasted, this one was hands-down the best and somehow not the most expensive. I don't know why anyone would go elsewhere for their big day!

We had such a great time working with Amber to create our dream wedding cake! The BonBonerie has the most delicious cake flavors and we are so excited that we got to have 2 flavors and feed all of our guests with one beautiful cake for less than $500! The cake was one of the most important things to me at our wedding. While the Bonbonerie was not the cheapest option, it was by far the most delicious of the 6 bakeries we tasted for our wedding cake. When coming in for our tasting, they allowed us to select 6 flavors and then brought out 6 full slices of cake. It was amazing! Each flavor was delicious and we had a very difficult time narrowing down our options. Luckily, once we selected the Bonbonerie, they invited us to come back and try 6 more full slices of cake!

We also ordered a grooms cake from the bakery. My new husband is a bit of a nerd and gave their designers a really rough picture of what he wanted (a stone floor with a pile of gold that we would be placing a dragon figurine on). They responded with great ideas on how to implement his ideas including airbrushing white chocolate chips to look like piles of gold coins.

The Bonbonerie was extremely responsive and made the entire process very easy. Carol walked us through the process and helped to narrow down our design and when we were ready to sign the contract, she actually responded to our email within an hour of it being sent at 8pm and allowed us to call and make the deposit that night.

The day of our wedding, both cakes looked amazing and tasted even better. We could not have been happier and are already looking forward to eating the top layer of our cake.

This cake is the best! Worked with me to choose a design I loved and the flavored just can't be beat! We did white chocolate cake with raspberry preserves and opera cream cake with chocolate chips. Soooooo good!

BonBonerie did an amazing job on all of the cupcakes I had for my wedding. I was very particular about the vision and they captured exactly what I wanted. They were very detail oriented and wrote down everything and reviewed everything with me as many times as they needed to to make sure I was going to get exactly what I wanted. I very much appreciated this as I tend to worry about things like that. Not only were they gorgeous but they were unbelievably delicious...just as expected. They even provided me with additional glitter so that I could decorate the gluten free cupcakes we were baking ourselves to look similar to theirs. I love this place so much. It's a no-brainer to go with them for any event.

There was no question in our mind about which bakery we would choose to make our wedding cake. The BonBonerie makes the best wedding cakes--we chose both chocolate and vanilla cake and both were so delicious! The cake was also beautiful and they let us personalize it to be exactly what we were looking for!

BonBonerie was highly recommended to us and we see why. Carol and staff did a great job advising us on cake choices and styles to meet our wedding needs. My daughter and her husband were able to share design details and BonBonerie followed through with every detail. We had two kinds of cake: Almond Cream and White Chocolate Raspberry which were all outstanding. We went with a cake that served 100 guests. We had 80 guests and every bit was enjoyed with rave reviews. Cake was simply frosted with only light piping around layers. Placed on an etched cake stand with flower topper and some surrounding flowers at bottom tier. It was stunning. So great to work with these folks. They took care of every detail.

LOVED my cake and cupcakes! I came in with picture of a cake covered in rainbow round sprinkles (I forget the official name) and they re-created it perfectly! I bought the white ribbon I wanted around each tier (3 total) and they put it on. In addition, they make vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles on top to feed the masses. Each cupcake was enough for two people due to being so yummy! The cake flavors were almond with almost cream and vanilla with raspberry jam. We didn't bother saving the top tier, due to moving cross country, so I don't know how well they freeze. I'm sure excellent if you follow the provided instructions. If something does go wrong why not go back and share a fresh slice of heaven!

Our opera cream torte cake was beautiful and delicious. They were by far the most professional on our initial visit. They are slightly more expensive than some of the places but worth every penny.

The BonBonerie was recommended to us by my parents, who got their wedding cake from there 8 years ago. It was the only place we went cake tasting, because from that point we knew we had to have the BonBonerie make our cakes. All of the flavors and textures were so perfect, and there was so much variety. We had 5 single cakes including the anniversary cake in 4 different flavors, and they were all delicious. I really need to express how easy it was communicating with Maggie and Carol, and also the absolute precision with which they executed the designs. When we first went in, I had a couple of pictures explaining the idea I wanted to go for, but soon realized that I had a very clear vision in my head of what I expected the cakes to look like. I drew and colored several sketches explaining the exact designs in the exact colors on which cakes and the exact arrangement I wanted the cakes in on the table, and that is exactly what I got. I had bridal henna, and I wanted two of the cake top designs to match the design on my palms, and they did precisely. I cannot recommend the BonBonerie enough for flavor, service, and design.

When we got engaged, there was never a question of where we could get our wedding cake. I'm so glad we didn't ever question our decision! We were told throughout the evening by our guests that ours was the best wedding cake they had ever had - it truly tastes just as good as it does at the tasting! Thank you, BonBonerie!!

I remember looking at the BonBonerie wedding cakes in the glass cases as a little girl, so it was fun to go back and pick one out with my now husband.
It was as beautiful and delicious as everything in the BonBonerie is. We picked the chocolate cake with a caramel type of filling. Happily, there was some extra that I am still eating.

How can you go wrong with the BonBonerie? The cake was GORGEOUS! The wedding topper they ordered was stunning - and they were so willing to work with us! The cake was the best ever! All of our guests ate every single piece and we only wish that we ordered more. We had a special design and they were very accommodating. Carol is awesome to work with and they offer so many options. We like to stop in to say hello...and get cake and treats of course! We purchased our wedding & groom’s cake from the Bonbonerie, and had the best experience ever. Our cake-tasting was so friendly and helpful – it was the only tasting that we did where you had pieces of actual cake to try. You also get to take home what you can’t finish – we ate cake for days! YUM! We worked mainly with Carol, both in-person and via email, and she was very responsive and helpful. Their prices were amazing, considering how expensive wedding cake can be. We were quoted much higher prices at other Cincinnati bakeries.

We actually picked up our cakes (a 3 tiered wedding cake, along with the groom’s cake!!) the day before the wedding and drove them ourselves to Columbus, and I can’t tell you how reassuring the Bonbonerie staff was. Carol was so patient and calm about us transporting the cakes. These cakes were rock-solid, and looked amazing the next day for the wedding. The cakes were DELICIOUS – I had so many people tell me it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. They designed both cakes exactly as we requested, and they turned out beautifully.

Another thing we are excited about is that the Bonbonerie regularly carries the cakes we used as wedding cake – so whenever we need some wedding cake, we can go buy a little one! 

Bonbonerie did our cake last week and it was amazing. We went with the salted caramel, which is a new flavor, and people are still raving about how good it tasted. I think the wedding cake tasted even better than the samples they give you at the tasting. We priced around a bit before deciding on them--honestly, it wasn't that much more expensive than other places (though I think their prices may have gone up since then?). Still, for what you get, no one else comes close!

What an amazing job they do. The cake was perfect in every way. It was simple but tasted phenomenal. Decorated exactly as we wished. The BonBonerie is a full service bakery that does wedding cakes, not a wedding cake store. The product is pure quality. It was carefully delivered and setup. They take great pride in their confections and we are grateful customers. Everyone absolutely loved the cake. Great experience.

While the provided options for cake design are beautiful, I was able to design something a little different and the staff welcomed that. Went with the White Chocolate Romance flavorings, with the addition of the raspberry preserves, and it was a big hit. I also brought in decorations for the cake from an outside vendor and they incorporated them wonderfully. The BonBonerie also provided our wedding favors in the form of cupcakes for guests to take home, which went over well with said guests :)

The BonBonerie staff do a wonderful job at listening to what you want and then helping to make it happen. We chose a cake style that was not in their repertoire, but they did a wonderful job at bringing our concept to life. We used them not only for our cake, but for cupcakes and cookies too. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING my wedding cake was. It was beautiful, the most delicious cake I've ever had, and exactly what I wanted. I didn't even get to taste ahead of time since I came from out of town, but Carol helped me to figure out EXACTLY what I wanted, from design to flavor to size. We had the lemon dream, and the BonBonerie did a stunning job decorating it with red swirls on a white background, so it worked beautifully with my Indian wedding. Stunning photos, and I am already salivating over my one-year anniversary top tier...!!
If I lived in town, I'd be at this place way too often!! Really, you cannot go wrong with BonBonerie's beautiful work, exquisite taste and lovely service. They even coordinated with all my other vendors ahead of time!

My wedding cake was one of our favorite parts of our wedding. Not only did it taste sinful but the look of the cake was absolutely breathtaking. And the ladies that helped me design and pick out my cake flavor was more than helpful. The price was a little bit more than I wanted to spend at the time but, after comparing other cake tastes and designs, it was a no brainer. Bonbonerie was the winner!! Highly recommend them.

Our cake was so delicious and beautiful. We had assumed that The Bonbonerie would be more expensive than other places but were surprised to find that it wasn't!

We tasted great cake at other places but the cake at The Bonbonerie was so much lighter which we thought would be great at the end of a big meal.

This is the best cake in the city!!! We chose the most popular for wedding cakes which is the Opera Cream. Delicious as always. We didn't have to think about which place to get our cake, this is truly the best cake I have ever had. The cake was decorated beautifully and exactly the way I wanted it. You can never go wrong with The BonBonerie! I would NOT recommend anyone going anywhere else! It was a no-brainer.

Carol is amazing, we went over different wedding cake ideas but were unsure of what we wanted but gave her an idea. She took out a pen and paper and started drawing our cake design and said how about something like this. She joked that was not a good artist, but we were blown away! We loved it, my only disappointment is that they do not deliver cakes out of state. I would have loved to order a mini cake from them on our anniversary for yrs to come. The cake was outstanding and so moist and delicious! The opera crème is to die for. Her cake saved the day when our dinner was a dissappointment! That lemon and opera creme cake was so good!

Thank you again Carol we wish you many blessings. It is truly rare to come across someone so passionate about what they do. But it definitely shows through your presence and your work, to you and your staff at Bon Bonaire thank you again!

I have been to many weddings and have seen gorgeous cakes that tasted badly, and then I have also seen pretty (but not gorgeous) cakes that tasted very good. BonBonerie was able combine the best of both worlds by creating a beautiful cake that tasted amazing. Honestly, although I have seen wedding cakes that are just as beautiful or more beautiful than my wedding cake, I have never had one that tasted better. They have a wide assortment of cake designs to choose from, and their cake actually tastes better on the wedding day than at the taste test! If you are interested in great tasting AND a beautiful cake, BonBonerie is your bakery.

We chose a non-traditional cake alternative (after Marilyn's Cakes backed out on me 3 weeks prior to my wedding). We did 10 Bonbonerie signature tortes and displayed them on antique cake pedestals. They were a HUGE hit. Cake for 200 people was wiped out in no time at all. Bonbonerie delivered them for a nominal fee and I did all the ordering over the phone. Easy and yummy.

Our cake turned out just how I wanted it. It was delicious too! We chose a chocolate cake with a raspberry filling and a chocolate frosting. Our wedding was outside and the weather was too hot to have chocolate frosting. We were warned that if the weather was too hot we would not be able to have our chocolate icing and would have a white frosting instead. It still turned out lovely! The cake tasting was very yummy too!

The cake was exactly like they said it would be, they were punctual and delivered the cake where we wanted it. The cake was beautiful and tasted wonderful. The only problem was that the top layer of the cake didn't fit in the box that they gave us to freeze it in. We had to find a different box.

I went to three cake tastings around Cincinnati, and BonBonerie was by far the best cake we tasted. The staff was really excited about helping us, and gave us really clear directions the entire process, from how the tasting would go, until how they would leave the cake at the reception hall.
We ordered way too much cake, but no worries, because now we have a lot in our freezer for another special occasion.
My favorite thing about the cake was that our names were spelled in Hebrew around the cake. I printed out our names on a sheet of paper, gave it to the woman we met with, and it was written as if the decorator had known Hebrew her whole life! It was so beautiful to have that personal touch on the cake.
One other thing I really liked about Bonbonerie was that I asked about the ingredients in the cake, since my husband and I are vegetarian. The woman who met with us for the cake tasting went in the back and checked the ingredients in the jam just to make sure we were keeping to our dietary needs.
The cake itself seemed a bit pricey, but it was well worth it, especially since we have so much left over.

Bonbonerie makes the BEST wedding cake!! Our wedding was a few weeks ago and we are still receiving compliments on how rich and delicious the cake tasted. There was a minor mishap; we requested raspberry filling in the white cake, but it was left out due to a communication mix up. The Bonbonerie was extremely apologetic and generous in remediating the situation. It was a minor error and the cake still tasted amazing - the guests never knew otherwise!

You'll pay a premium, but it is well worth it for the best cake in Cincinnati. After visiting other well-recommended bakeries and learning that they use cake mix (!) for their expensive wedding cakes, we went back to our favorite - The Bonbonerie - because we were so certain of the quality of cake we'd get. They didn't disappoint! Our wedding cake was beautiful - exactly what we wanted, and it tasted delicious.

Our favors were also bride-and-groom cookies from the Bonbonerie. Honestly, I didn't think they were a big deal. I just didn't know what else to use as a favor, and the Bonbonerie graciously offered to wrap them and tie all the bows and everything, so it was one less thing we had to do right before the wedding! Our family buys these cookies for every special event, so I forget how good they are. The guests raved about them for weeks afterwards though :)

Our cake was not only gorgeous, but delicious! We did several cake tastings all over the city. However, this was the best one. They gave us whole slices of several different cakes, offered us drinks, and spent time with us going over everything. Other places let us sample tiny little slivers with nothing to drink and were not nearly as friendly. The cake tasting at BonBonerie was an experience in itself. We were so glad we went with them. Our cake was exactly what we had asked for and looked amazing!

My fiance and I initially did a cake tasting at BonBonerie because they were highly recommend online and in every Cincinnati wedding magazine I read. We chose the White Chocolate Romance cake for ~125 people and it was absolutely amazing. Carol and the staff at BonBonerie were outstanding to work with and very, very responsive. Thank you BonBonerie!

You know you are going to get a great cake when you go to BonBonerie. They have a very well respected name in Cincinnati and they definitely lived up to my expectations. Our cake was beautiful and delicious. We had the white chocolate cake with a raspberry filling. The cake was light, almost like a sponge cake, and had a delicate yet rich flavor. I liked that it didn't make you feel sick and weighed down after eating it--we wanted everyone to get up and dance so it worked out perfectly! We got a lot of compliments on how good the cake was.

I rated a little less than a 5 for professionalism because at first we were considering just cupcakes and I felt like we weren't taken as seriously until we decided to go with a cake. From that point onward though, everything was very professional and I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing. They took care of contacting our reception site and arranging for the delivery so it was nice not to have to worry about that.

You may pay a little more for a BonBonerie cake but they really do a great job. I would definitely recommend them. They are very generous with the tasting portions too!

I've adored the Bonbonerie tea room for many years and was so excited to get our wedding cake there! We got the lemon cake with buttercream frosting and many of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. Some even had two pieces, including myself :)

The cake that arrived did not look like the one we had picked out. The one originally chosen had several large flowers; this one had many tiny flowers. Overall though, it still looked beautiful and tasted fantastic. I would recommend.

A little expensive, but worth it! The cake was the best of any we tasted and they also had very unique and beautiful designs. After 4 tastings, BonBonerie was a clear favorite. Would recommend them!

The only thing I was not willing to cut corners on was the wedding cake, so naturally we went chose to go "cake tasting" at the BonBonerie. I know no one could match them in quality or taste, but we were pleasantly surprised to learn that they were very reasonably priced. Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful, but it tasted heavenly too. They exceeded our expectations in everyway!

Our cake was a simple design and they did a great job. The cake was delicious and we received a lot of compliments. The cake tasting was a lot of fun and they were very easy to work with.

Our cake was beautiful and delicious. We were very happy that we worked with The BonBonerie for our wedding. Their cakes are known very being amazing and they did not fail to live up to their reputation. Thank you for a cake that was stunning as well as mouth watering!

Although their cakes are a little more expensive, they really are worth the extra cost. The cake was delicious and they were professional and easy to work with. They do a great job meeting with you and helping you decide the flavor and decorations and are really knowledgeable. (For instance, we had an outside tent wedding and they were able to tell us what flavors and icings would and wouldn't hold up in the heat)

We just loved the BonBonerie! They had a huge selection of designs and their cakes taste amazing! They are the best value in town. Believe me, I tasted the cakes at all the best bakeries for our wedding.

I have never had anything from BonBonerie that wasn't amazing, and the cake was no exception. They were able to capture just the right look and the taste is beyond description!

Our wedding cake turned out better than I could have imagined.BonBonerie made us a great tasting almond cake with french butter cake.The design made the cake look breath taking.I loved coming in for their tasting and working with the staff.

The Bonbonerie had the best cakes of any we tried. The service was excellent, people were friendly and the cake was beautiful.

The cakes were relatively expensive, but definitely worth it. The flavors were to die for. Getting responses via email is somewhat difficult. However, this is to be expected as they are a bakery not an office. If you want to get anything aside from the standard designs, you will end up paying for it. But, they have an incredibly good selection of standard cake designs.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get married in the near future.

The BonBonerie makes delicious and adorable european style cakes that aren't overly sweet. Well known in the area for their opera creme torte, they have other lovely flavors of cakes, too (we went with half torte, half Tangerine Moon). We certainly loved ours! And they also did a custom chinese character design on our cake. We were very pleased!
