Great Value and Great Service!

We were happy with this florist for the wedding. They were very easy to work with and were available whenever we had questions or concerns. I would say that when choosing your flower arrangements try to be specific on what you would like. Overall we were loved what she did and would recommend!

Perfect flowers for a perfect day!

We gave inspiration pictures with several specific changes made and they made my vision come to life. All of our flowers were beautiful and perfect. I absolutely recommend them to every bride!

I just loved my bouquet !

I totally recommend this vendor. My wedding was postponed 3 times from 2019 to 2021 because of covid and the winter storm in Texas. Also, instead of getting married in the spring, which was initially planned, we got married in the fall. Still, they manage to make my bouquet with the flowers I wanted, and I was just stunned when I saw it. I'm super happy with their services and I thank "The Glooming Idea" for being so patient with all the changes and making me very proud of carrying on my wedding day such a beautiful bouquet.
I still don't have the professional photos from the photographer, but I will be posting some of the guess photos taken with their phones.

Wonderful florist!

We loved our flowers! The Blooming Idea team worked hard to make sure everything was perfect. Mary was easy to work with and happy to provide suggestions or pivot to make sure we had the flowers we wanted. I really appreciated the detailed quote so I knew exactly what to expect.

Mary McCarthy is amazing!

Mary was such a lifesaver! She knew exactly the vision I wanted and is incredibly patient and thoughtful. Her attention to detail is immaculate! The flowers turned out magical thanks to her help! I’d recommend the blooming idea to anyone as not only did I use her but my sister also used this company for her flowers years ago.

We had a beautiful flowered arbor behind us as we said our vowels (pictured below) and it was so special.

Amazing customer service

I can’t say enough about my experience with Blooming Idea! I got to work with Amy, and she was amazing! She truly cared about us and made sure our day was perfect! Our floral arrangements were perfect! My bouquet turned out better than I could have imagined and our reception decorations were elegant and beautiful! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Just perfect!

The Blooming Idea did an amazing job for my wedding. Communication was always easy, the flowers were all stunning, great quality and arranged perfectly...I couldn't have asked for anything more! The day-of setup staff was quick and made sure everything was up to par before they left. There was even last minute requests that were not only met, but exceeded. I got so many compliments on my bouquet and arrangements. Their pricing is reasonable and they always found a way to make sure they could work with my budget. Highly recommended for weddings! Thank you for making my day so effortless and beautiful!

I was absolutely blown away by my centerpieces and flower arrangements for our wedding reception. Holy cow. I knew they would be beautiful, but was not prepared to start crying because of centerpieces! I received compliments all night long about how beautiful everything was. It was truly a pleasure working with Mary and she was so sweet and responsive to all of my random emails and questions. Worth every penny spent!

Mary from Blooming Idea is the best!!! She was a pleasure to work with and found a way to make all of my ideas work. In particular, I wanted to use some of my own teapots and bowls along with her beautiful rose-gold vases. Not only was she open to the idea, but she ran with it and exceeded my expectations of what an arrangement in a teapot could be! When I walked into the reception, I was taken aback with how beautiful the flowers looked.
For my bouquet, I had given her a photo of what I wanted, and was amazed with the outcome. My bouquet was one of a kind and more beautiful than I had imagined!

Mary and the team at The Blooming Idea are true artists!!! All my flowers turned out beautiful!!! I recommend her to every bride!!!

I was planning our wedding from out of state and Mary with The Blooming Idea was so helpful. I wasn't able to make a face to face appointment, so I emailed pictures of what I liked. The bouquets and boutonnieres they made were EXACTLY what I wanted. They were beautiful and received so many compliments. I really appreciated how easy it was and how well everything turned out.

AMAZING!!!! Once I got engaged, I researched pretty much all the florists in Houston! I was looking for a florist that was reasonably priced, understood my vision, had good reviews, was reliable, and I had about 50 more categories for them to meet! Ladies and gents-let me tell you that I’ve done the research for you! Mary is absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have been happier with what she did! It was everything I had envisioned plus more!!! I got married a couple weeks ago and my guests are still raving about how beautiful the flowers were! I’m so happy I hired The Blooming Idea for my special day.

After speaking to several florist I could not compare any of them to the blooming idea. I had the pleasure to work with Amy, she is so kind and professional. She made me feel so welcomed and at ease. She was very good at responding and really worked with me in what I envision. Amy, thank you so much for everything, you made my wedding day look so beautiful. The Blooming Idea Florist was absolutely wonderful! I was not completely sure what I wanted, and with their help, we were able to put together beautiful wedding flowers! The ideas for the church flowers, all the wedding bouquets and boutonnieres, and table center pieces were awesome. Not only was everything perfect, but the cost was much less than I had expected. And, The Blooming Idea totally topped any expectations I could have had. After the wedding reception, there was a gorgeous flower arrangement waiting for us in our hotel room. I didn't have a "dream wedding" planned since I was 4 so I didn't know the exact flowers I wanted for bouquets, centerpieces, bouquets, etc. However, Kelly Scroggins took the feel I wanted for my wedding and made it a reality and kept it within our budget. My wedding was everything and more thanks to Kelly's vision.

The Blooming Idea really know what they're doing. They turned a conference room into a beautiful, classy wedding ceremony room. And the reception room exceeded my expectations with the gorgeous center pieces. Mary is wonderful to work with and personally delivered all the flowers to the bride's room; she's very professional and sweet and has amazing taste decorating. 10/10 would recommend this flower vendor to couples!

Mary (The Blooming Idea) was the perfect florist choice for my wedding this July! This vendor is a 5/5 in all categories! Mary has high attention to detail, is able to understand client's visions for bouquets/boutonnieres/etc., and was very professional! She is very responsive to email and a very accommodating vendor! My bouquets, boutonnieres, cake topper, and isle decor turned out perfectly! I was especially impressed with the boutonnieres! Mary will make sure your wedding flowers will be a success! She will be honest and let you know what will and will not work in the season and weather you are getting married in, and provide professional advice regarding your flowers. Mary was wonderful to work with and the flowers were stunning! I provided pretty vague ideas of colors and arrangements that I wanted and she turned it into an absolutely gorgeous display. Incredibly professional, calm, and collected amongst the havoc of a wedding. So many people commented on how gorgeous the flowers were, especially my bouquet, I kept it alive as long as I could! Mary was amazing! Great with suggestions, very responsive to emails, and available for any assistance. She provided vendor options for us to use as well. Our flowers were breathtaking and everything I had hoped for. My bridal bouquet was my absolute favorite, exactly what I had envisioned. We kept needing to adjust our order and there was no hesitation on The Blooming Idea's end. I would not go anywhere else for flowers needed in the future!

They were an absolute pleasure to work with. I showed her some samples of arrangements that I liked and they adapted them perfectly. While I did not use them for bride/bridesmaid bouquets, I'm sure they would have been just as beautiful (I made my own broach bouquet as well as my BMs). My MIL fell in love with a water arrangement that turned out absolutely stunning and stayed in the pool for a week after. I can't stress enough about how much they paid attention to the details that I wanted because everything was executed flawlessly. I really could have not asked for a better vendor!! Thank You

I loved this vendor. The service was phenomenal, very professional, and punctual. I told Mary I wanted bright big red roses and thats exactly what I got. The flower arrangements for the church were beautiful, and so were the center pieces for the reception, so much so that many of my guests wanted to take some home along with The Blooming Idea's contact information. Loved it, can't go wrong with them!

I was amazed at the quality and the price I got with Blooming Idea! Would definitely recommend. Flowers weren't that important to me in the beginning, and they've become one of my favorite parts of looking back at the photos from the special day.

The flowers for our March 22 wedding were absolutely breathtaking! When I went in to choose my flowers I had absolutely no idea what I wanted (I honestly only knew two types of flowers!) The ladies at The Blooming Idea really helped to turn my vision into a reality without much help on my part. I believe the only descriptive words I could come up with were "flowy" and "romantic". We went with hydrangeas, peach lillies, Gerbera daisies and plenty of other lovely accents and embellishments. The centerpieces were to die for, as were all of mine and my bridesmaid's bouquets. Would certainly recommend this florist to anyone!

Mary and her team at The Blooming Idea did an absolutely fabulous job with the floral decor at my wedding. It was truly beautiful and breath taking. The original floral designer we hired (a business associate with whom my mother had worked with for many years) flaked out on providing the flowers for my wedding the week of the wedding! This left us in a rush to find flowers. The Blooming Idea has provided flowers for many weddings, so we turned to them (my mother also works with them - she's a catering manager), and we couldn't have been more impressed with how everything turned out. I cannot thank The Blooming Idea enough for how wonderful they were to work with and how much they helped turn a bad situation right side up! I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed!

The Blooming Idea provided our flowers for both the ceremony and reception, including the our wedding party. We had our ceremony at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, and our reception at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. We worked with Mary McCarthy, and she was so nice and helpful throughout the whole process. She helped me pick out the perfect arrangements and she listened to every suggestion and concern I had, even with last minute changes and tiny details. All of the flowers were even more beautiful than I imagined. It was clear that they really cared about the vision I had for my wedding. All of the guests were telling us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever seen, especially the centerpieces at the reception. Overall, our experience with The Blooming Idea was outstanding. There is no reason to use any other florist!

Words cannot describe how thankful I am to The Blooming Idea! I had decided to save money by doing my flowers through HEB, but when I got my bridal boqueot for my bridal portriats, I quickly realized this was a terrible idea. So, we cancelled our contract with them and 3 weeks away from the wedding had NO flowers. We called The Blooming Idea, and they came to my rescue. We were so lucky they were available that day. I came in for my consultation, and told them what I was thinking, and they gave me some amazing suggestions to make it look way better than I could dream of! My flowers came out BEAUTIFUL! And their customer service was the best. They really took good care of us. We had them do all the flowers for the wedding party as well as centerpieces for each table and then greenery with ribbon for the ceremony. It was stunning. I highly recommend them. They really have a passion for flowers!

We used this florist for our daughter's wedding. Our daughter had no idea what type of flowers she wanted, just knew that she wanted the colors of blue, yellow, and white, and that the style be "light" and "airy". Sarah at the Blooming Idea Florist was so helpful, and she was able to just walk us through the steps of putting together the wedding flowers. We only had to meet with her once, then were able to make needed changes by email or phone. The flowers were beautifully done, and we had many compliments about them. My parents used to own a flower shop and did hundreds of weddings, so I had very high expectations. The Blooming Idea did a superb job in our opinion.

Amanzing. Everything looked gorgeous setup, Mary is a doll and was so kind to us the entire time, and it was just easy to work with her. She also knew our coordinator well and it's always nice when coordinators sing praises about a vendor! But all the flowers were so fresh and beautifully wrapped and I LOVED my bouquet! About a month before the wedding, we switched to the Blooming Idea from Always Floral. Sabrina is so nice and helpful and her prices are great, but after completely forgetting about an appt we had scheduled with my Mom and I about a month before, and with my busy schedule, my Mom was extremely worried and told me she'd feel better going with the florist our coordinator knew well. I took the motherly advice I was receiving and without knowing what it would have been like with Always Floral, I'm still SO glad we went with The Blooming Idea!! Thanks Mary!!

Our wedding was December 2007. My wife dealt with the florist mostly but she couldn't say enough about them. They were very responsive and the flowers were amazing.

The Blooming Idea did a fabulous job with our wedding and we were very pleased! After meeting with Mary, I did not feel the least bit of angst or worry. She was very easy to talk to and very flexible with changes. She was quick to respond to emails, as well. I did not have to worry at all about our flowers and everything turned out perfectly! It was so nice to know we were in the best hands!

Mary McCarthy at The Blooming Idea did the beautiful flowers for our cake, reception, and ladies' corsages. The flowers were gorgeous, and she had a wide variety of designs available. What most impressed me, though, was how she came through for us in the wake of Hurricane Ike. Our wedding was the weekend after the hurricane hit Houston, and she still managed to do all of the flowers for our wedding--even without power in her shop. She took the time when she had no power at home to call her wholesaler, arrange alternate transportation, and secure all of the flowers we ordered when most people were still running around town trying to find ice and gasoline. Best of all, the flowers looked exactly as we'd ordered and planned; if you hadn't watched the news or been there, you would never have suspected that there was any trouble expended in getting everything there in spite of the hurricane. Mary was a consummate professional and was truly a joy to work with. I was so grateful to have her on our team.

The Blooming Idea created beautiful arrangements for our wedding. Lisa was very flexible and was very easy to work with. I know very little about flowers and she used my pictures to create everything that I wanted!

Mary from The Blooming Idea was great! She was very responsive and always very helpful. I had pretty expensive taste for my flowers but The Blooming Idea helped find substitutes for certain arrangements to help cut costs. All of our flowers for our wedding turned out AMAZING, I cannot get over how pretty they all looked.

The woman I worked with was very responsive, even with the changes that I made. We communicated via email, which was convenient. They delivered everything on-time and I LOVED the bouquets. They have you answer a little questionaire at the beginning of the meeting, which I thought was great because it helps them determine what you want/don't want and gets you and your planner on the same page. I only wish they had more pictures of what they can do, and I wish I had seen the pink I would be getting in specific flowers...they came out way more pink than I was expecting! But no biggie. Everything overall was great.

Mary and her team were excellent to work with. She gave such great feedback and really listened to my ideas. I came in with a pretty specific vision, and Mary completely understood what I was going for. The centerpieces and other arrangements were amazing! Highly recommended!

I loved working with Mary at The Blooming Idea. I am not a huge flower person and she worked to help create a beautiful subtle ambiance with small touches of flowers.

I had brought in my own white porcelin pumpkins (we got married the day before Halloween) for her to design around. She added some greenery and a gardenia with tea lights to soften the center of the table. It was perfect.

She also provided small vases with dainty white flowers to help frame the room, bar, and fireplace. Everything looked so natural and welcoming. I didn't feel like I was in a decorated ballroom, but rather in a warm and intimately decorated home. I couldn't believe how inviting everything looked!

My husband is rather particular and so came in to design his boutonniers. She patiently created one that was masculine and yet complimented my bouquet of vintage brooches. He was so pleased with the overall finish!

You're never sure how the flowers are going to come out until the day of your wedding. So there has to be some amount of trust that you have to have. I have to say that I was thrilled and very happy with how the flowers turned out. As long as you can (to the best of your ability) tell them what your personality is like and what the theme of the wedding is, they really know how to tie things in as if you personally picked out the flowers and arranged them yourself. The staff and is super friendly and very easy to work with and they carried out their job without a hitch!

Pros: They came as a package deal with my wedding venue which kept the expense down. Setup and take down of arrangements went smoothy.
Cons: The flowers were a little old looking even though my wedding was in the morning--they could have been a little fresher looking. Also it is very hard to get responses back from them, i.e. most emails took 2wks to get a response back.
If my wedding venue didn't contract through them I would have picked some other florist.

I had picked out hot pink flowers for my reception tables and the flowers were light pink instead. I was very unhappy about the flowers.

If you don't have high expectations, you can hire them. They are very responsible, but their flower designs are really poor.

I really had no doubts when I paid The Blooming Idea $3500 for my wedding flowers, because they seemed to understand exactly what I wanted. I'd asked specifically for peach and pink peonies to be the main flowers, well in advance of the wedding date. One week before the wedding when I arrived to pick up my bridal portrait bouquet, they brought out a bouquet of orange garden roses. Only then was it mentioned to me that it really wasn't the season for peonies and also that I may not even get peonies for my wedding. I was floored; no one had ever mentioned this to me. I knew of a florist in Austin (The Byrd Collective, whom everyone should use) that I had hoped to use that had just posted the loveliest photo of peonies, in my colors, on her blog days beforehand. Upon mentioning that I'd wished I had received some sort of communication about this prior to that day, the owner then had the audacity to say to me, "If we can't get peonies, then no one else will be able to either." I left that day with a bouquet I hated and barely wanted photographed. Then the day of the wedding, the color of the small peonies they were able to receive, was not correct. They clashed with my sash and I was not pleased. Additionally, they forgot a whole bucket of loose stem flowers I had ordered for table decor. I paid for enough to have extra and ended up being short. This whole experience was not enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend them to an enemy, much less a friend.

We worked with this florist only because our centerpieces with them came as part of our package with the woodlands resort. Throughout the entire wedding process our florist Kim was the only vendor I had trouble with. From the beginning she was snotty, unaccommodating, provided very few suggestions, disrespectful of budget, and disrespectful of my ideas and vision. I dreaded communicating with her after our first meeting and nothing seemed to get done easily with her. She failed to tell notify us when payments were due and then sent snotty emails letting us know our payment was overdue. The bouquets I had envisioned (tulips) and payed a lot of money to have shipped in were extremely disappointing. The only good comments I have were that once she stopped telling me that she disapproved of my centerpiece ideas she did a good idea putting them together along with the ceremony decor. Also the staff that set up our wedding the day of (which did not include Kim) were extremely nice and accommodating. We had weather issues and that staff that was there that day waited until the last minute so that we could wait out the weather to set up.
