  Our Cake was Divine!

  Choosing The Baker’s Box for our wedding cake was one of the best decisions we made! Everything about the experience was first rate (the tasting, the communication, the delivery and, of course, the cake itself). Mara is one of the kindest humans you will ever meet, and her cakes taste like heaven on Earth. We chose chocolate with buttercream frosting, and she adorned it with some of our flowers. It was simple yet extraordinary. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about it!

  This wonderful family is so amazing at what they do! Mara made us the most breath taking and delicious cake for our wedding that I have ever seen! Her husband is an amazing chef and makes the absolute best roast beef sandwich with homemade pickles I have ever had! Love love love them!

  I can say enough kind words about the staff at the Baker's Box. My Husband and I were so impressed with the wedding cake and food. The wedding was beautiful and everything that I had dreamed of. The food was so amazing and the wedding guests made many comments about how good the food was.

  Mara at The Baker's Box is WONDERFUL! From the minute we met with her I knew our wedding cake would be amazing. She helped us decide what shape, color, flavor, and size cake would be best to feed all our guest. Our wedding cake was delicious, beautiful, and exactly what we wanted. All of our guest just raved about how it was the best cake they had ever had. We also had Mara make our thank you favors and I must say those homemade brownies were sinful! Thank you again Mara and we will definitely be retuning for all future bakery needs! I will post a picture of our amazing wedding cake on your Facebook page.

  We were married at the Inn on Church Street in Hendersonville last April and The Baker’s Box was recommended to us. We went in to have lunch and pick up a try out cake” that my mom had ordered for all our Birthday’s long before our event. Our cake was absolutely awesome. Needless to say Mara crafted our amazingly beautiful wedding cake. The presentation was spectacular, and the quality of our cake was truly delicious.   Mara is an AMAZING chef and what a GREAT first impression! Before our tasting, Mara asked what flavor cakes/fillings/frostings we wanted to try. When we arrived to our tasting, Mara was in her chef's coat with 3, small, freshly baked cakes! The Apple Spice cake was phenomenal. Not only were her cakes delicious, but the intricate detail and flawless designs were stunning. I would HIGHLY recommend The Baker's Box for any events in and around Asheville.

  My husband and I were very pleased with how the cake turned out. We had not really had a plan on what we wanted for a cake, so my husband and I were kind of throwing ideas at Mara, and she was able to make a stunning cake.
  The cake was delicious and we had so many compliments from the guests as well as some people going back for seconds!

We left flowers out for her to decorate our cake with and she placed them in the position I feel matched the simplicity of our wedding. The cake was the flavor and style we discussed and tasted good even though I did not have a chance to do a cake tasting prior to the wedding (no fault of hers). I would recommend her services.

  Awsome experience at a great value

  My wife and I looked into several cake bakeries, but in the end, we chose Mara. Simply put, she was awesome, everything about the cake was awesome, and the value that you get is undeniable. She even argued with our venue to move the cake table to ensure the safely of our cake. Don't let her busy restaurant scare you. When it's "your" day, nothing else matters to her.

  Mara was absolutely wonderful to work with! We had an "issue" with the previous baker we were planning to use, and Mara was able to come through for us at the last minute. The cake looked wonderful and more importantly, it was delicious! She was super quick to respond to emails at all hours of the night and plan a new cake for us with less than three weeks to our wedding date! We are soooo appreciative of Mara and the Baker's Box!

We ordered our grooms cake, wedding cake, and dessert bar for 100 people from her shop and everyone raved about the beautiful look and incredible taste of everything! The chocolate mocha grooms cake done turtle style with caramel was incredible and I typically do not enjoy chocolate cake. Our wedding cake was stunning. We ordered the Apple spice cake filled with caramel cream cheese icing and it was the best cake I’ve ever had. Every single pastry for the dessert bar was delectable. We plan on driving the few hours each year to order a small anniversary cake from The Baker’s Box every year. I definitely recommend them!

  I had such an easy, pleasant experience using the Bakers Box! Our cake was beautiful and tasted so good. We also had individual size Banana Pudding cups and Cheesecake Bites. Price was affordable.

  Mara was wonderful to work with! She was so accommodating when it came to creating a delicious gluten-free 3-tiered cake. We had the Apple Spice cake with the Caramel Cream Cheese filling and the Chocolate cake with the Bailey's Cream Cheese Filling. All of our guests were raving about the flavors and how moist the cakes were, and they had no idea they were gluten-free! She did a fabulous job on the buttercream frosting design and her arrangement of the flowers as the cake topper were beautiful.

  I had a 3 tier strawberry cake and 4 different pies made, chocolate silk (Was my favorite) pecan, mixed berry, and peach. Everything was delicious. Ended up being way better then my catered food too!

Mara also created a custom groom's cake as a surprise for my husband. It turned out great! Not knowing a lot about dessert/flavors myself, Mara was able to provide recommendations that turned out amazing. Thank you, Mara!

We had an unusual request for a cheese tower and Mara went well out of her way to get us the best price without compromising what we wanted. Our cakes and desserts were spread beautifully and she took care of everything for us. She even honoured my request to stop by the bridal suite after she finished setting up, which I loved.
  
  Oh and last but definitely not least, everything tasted amazing! My maid of honour never sugarcoats any of her opinions, but even she said she was blown away by Mara's cheesecake :) She also had a lot of gluten/dairy-free options for our guests with dietary restrictions. The leftover cake held up nicely after the wedding so we were well-fed for a long time, too.

  Mara and the Baker's Box created an absolutely wonderful cake for my wedding. Numerous guests and family members have told me that it was the most delicious wedding cake they had ever eaten, and I could not agree more. The double fudge cake was moist and delicious, and paired wonderfully with the Bailey's Irish Cream & Cream Cheese filing. Mara also took car of arranging the flowers on my cake and the result could not have been more beautiful. Additionally, Mara was very prompt and professional. I cannot recommend her services enough!

  Mara and the Baker's Box created an absolutely wonderful cake for my wedding. Numerous guests and family members have told me that it was the most delicious wedding cake they had ever eaten, and I could not agree more. The double fudge cake was moist and delicious, and paired wonderfully with the Bailey's Irish Cream & Cream Cheese filing. Mara also took car of arranging the flowers on my cake and the result could not have been more beautiful. Additionally, Mara was very prompt and professional. I cannot recommend her services enough!
