Excellent wedding venue with amazing food!

If you want to have a beautiful wedding with food so awesome that people still haven't stopped talking about it.....then have your wedding at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove! You will NOT be disappointed. Our wedding was on Sunday, June 13th of this year. I had been working with Chris since 2018 and had to cancel last year due to COVID. Chris was wonderful to work with! The staff was super-attentive! The appetizers were amazing! Loved that we got to have a food tasting to select our food months prior! The lemon chicken soup with rice was incredible!! Plated meals of filet mignon & chicken picatta were hot & super delicious! Lovin' Oven's cake was soooo good and the Arboretum Club coordinates with the bakery so you don't have to worry about a thing. Our wedding was magical!! I cannot thank the staff at the Arboretum Club enough for providing such excellent service/food!

A wedding beyond our expectation

Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is a whirlwind to say the least but Nicole and her team delivered above and beyond. They did not only make sure that our wedding is beautiful, amazing and stress-free but Nicole has been with us every step of the way as we navigated safety requirements and have fully accommodated our needs and requests. The venue was very beautiful the day of the wedding itself. Nicole has very high attention to detail. All the details on set up, layout and tiny details were honored. The food was also fantastic. Everything we ordered tasted great. Thank you, Nicole, Chris and German! We had such an amazing wedding day and we're glad that we chose The Arboretum Club as our venue.

Can we get married again?

Chris and Nicole were the best women to help my now husband and I have the best day ever! They advised, helped plan, and coordinated our vendors and everyone else on our special day so we only had to show up! Chris has the answer to every possible question and reminds you of questions you haven't even thought of. Nicole is on top of everything from the finance side to the details for the day of. They have great recommendations for vendors, our guests loved the food, and the cake was delicious! Can't recommend this venue or the staff enough! If we could get married again we would, it went too fast!

So wonderful!

We absolutely loved the arboretum club!!! The people were awesome, the food was great, the venue was beautiful and the price was great! We were able to have our dream wedding here. Everything ran smoothly. Chris and Nicole were always quick to respond to our questions through a call or email. It was a truly enjoyable experience and I am so thankful we found them. Highlights that guests won’t stop talking about: the crab and corn chowder soup and the beautiful room. We also loved the new option for the backdrop! 100% recommend!!

The Wedding of our Dreams

My husband and I were so fortunate to have worked with Chris and her team at the Arboretum Club. Not only were they incredibly accommodating with us and our guests, it was a freaking STEAL. Seriously, we thought they were missing something on our contract. It was that good. The food was impeccable, the staff was so helpful, and there truly wasn't one thing that I would have changed. It was an amazing day that we won't soon forget.

Best day ever

I had my wedding here in July. Nicole and Chris were amazing. They had every little detail planned perfectly. The day of the wedding was perfect. All of the staff was so helpful. The food was amazing. The venue was beautiful and made for perfect pictures! I’m still getting texts from family saying how amazing the day was. Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect wedding

Our wedding at the Arboretum was absolutely perfect. Nicole helped us with every step along the way and always had consistent communication. She was willing to help with anything that she could and was always honest and up front. On the day of the wedding she kept things running seamlessly and made sure I could enjoy my wedding night. I would highly recommend the Arboretum to any couple wanting a beautiful outdoor or indoor wedding!

They helped our family during a difficult time. Great service.

Initially I was quite pleased with the pricing, aesthetic of the venue, location, and friendliness of the event planning staff. Then, our family suffered a terrible tragedy 5 weeks before our wedding that derailed our planning process. Chris and Nicole stepped up to the plate! They were patient, helpful, and really went above and beyond to make our wedding day something special. They truly did more than what I ever would have expected of any venue, and for that they get 5 stars in all categories. Even prior to when things went wrong, they were very professional and gave us great guidance in planning our wedding day. These are good people.

We held our wedding reception at the Arboretum Club, and it was the best decision we made for ourwedding. The celebration there was perfect! Working with Chris and Nicole was excellent, their flexibility and ease of communication allowed for us to set up the flow and the style of our day perfectly. The staff here was SO helpful throughout the planning process! The day of the wedding, having the private bridal suite was an excellent resource, the cocktail hour on the patio was lovely, and the reception room looked BEAUTIFUL. Our guests are still raving about the food (appetizers and main courses!) and reflecting on the great time they had at the Arboretum Club. Thanks for everything Chris and Nicole! You made our day magical!

I planned my wedding from a long distance. I live in New York and my now husband is stationed at Naval Station Great Lakes. I knew when planning a wedding I needed a place that included most of the things I need, was a good value, and would make planning simple. Chris was helpful from my first inquiry her attitude and the services they included within the first two days I knew it would be the venue for us. The value was great and she was helpful answering all our questions. Whenever I had a question Chris or Nicole would get back to me the same day. They fit our tasting into my and my now husbands busy schedule and military school restrictions. The food was amazing! all of our guests enjoyed it. The bar was great and everyone who worked our wedding was helpful. It had the outdoor ceremony I wanted and the nice indoor reception. If I had to do my wedding again I would still choose the arboretum club. My husband and I and our guests all enjoyed ourselves.

Thank you Chris, Nicole, and staff for helping me have my dream wedding!!
Chris and Nicole are very, very reasonable. They helped with everything you need for the venue. We met with Chris first and she held our date (09.01.18, Labor Day Weekend) for a little bit before we made the final decision. When you first plan your wedding you go to a few or a lot of different venues to figure out which one is the best for your fit. The Arboretum Club was the best choice because the staff was easygoing, it was affordable with the stuff we had in the package (great package), and we were referred to here. One of my cousins friend, aka my "other cousin" (I've known her almost all my life), got married there as well. I asked her about her experience and she said basically the same things.
Nicole helped a lot as well. We met with her more as our date was coming up. She allowed us to set up as early as we wanted the day of. On the day, she was there from the moment we walked into the venue. She made sure everything was good to go.
Overall, The Arboretum Club is worth every penny, very flexible/reasonable, helpful, and so much more (I could write a book of how this venue was the best option). I am beyond happy on going with them. Thank you again!

My husband and I could not possibly speak more highly of our experience working with the Arboretum Club, specifically with our coordinator, Chris Snider! It can be tough to fully trust someone with your wedding, as it is such a special occasion, but we felt it was very easy to communicate and work together with Chris right from the start! She can be tough when she needs to be and gives the perfect balance of structure and freedom. She was very flexible working with us and made it her priority to compromise with us on important matters and deadlines. Having a summer wedding on a golf course typically means the bride and groom plan to get married outside, which was our case. Our forecast was absolutely dreadful for our wedding day, 100% chance for storms for the entire day and night. We were disappointed to say the least, but ended up being pleasantly surprised that the weather allowed us to take all of our pictures outside and do our first look outside! We had to make a game time decision to move the outdoor ceremony indoors in a matter of about 10 minutes, and Chris was able to pull this off and make it look beautiful! Even though it wasn't our Plan A, Chris was very sensitive to our vision and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. My favorite part about working with Chris is how she conversed with us as people, as an aspiring couple dreaming of getting married, rather than just a couple of her clients. She shared aspects of her personal life with us and always responded promptly to all of the questions we had along the way. We even kept her at the office late a few nights based on our availability and we would recommend Chris Snider and the Arboretum Club to any couple getting married! The rest of the staff was wonderful too and you can tell that they all work well together as a team to make your day as perfect as they can for you!

My husband and I needed a venue that would accommodate 250 on a not SO big budget, we found the Arboretum Club on the knot, we only looked at one other place, but, when we looked at Arboretum Club we knew it was it! Chris and Nicole were both so very helpful and there every step of the way to answer all my random questions! Chris helped us to figure out what would fit into our budget and helped to make sure everything was the way we had imagined. We could not have had a more PERFECT wedding, oh, and the food is DELICIOUS!

Our wedding was perfect in every way at the The Arboretum Club. From the first time we met Chris and saw the venue, I knew that's where I wanted to have our ceremony and reception. Chris and Nicole were awesome throughout the whole process. Chris sat down with us and went over the contract and gave us a great deal on our 'off season' wedding. Both Nicole and Chris were very prompt when returning phone calls and emails; I was in contact with both quite frequently. Nicole spent 2.5 hours going over fine details with me when it came closer to the wedding day, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. The staff on the night of the wedding was great! We were so pleased with the the night manager German, who went out of his way to make sure everything ran smoothly! We got SO many compliments on how awesome the food and drinks were! I didn't eat due to excitement/nerves, but German made sure I had a to-go box in case I wanted to eat it later! They allowed us to come early the day of the wedding to take pictures and set up even though they had another event the same day. I planned my own wedding, and I truly would not have been able to make the day happen without Chris and Nicole. They are such amazing people and truly cared about the most important day of my life! I would highly recommend The Arboretum Club and give them a 10/10 for excellence.

I worked with Chris for my wedding, and she went OVER AND BEYOND my wildest expectations. She was responsive, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. Our wedding went off without a hitch. German and Chris helped us out that night and it was the most spectacular wedding because of them. From the food to the décor to the outdoor ceremony, they helped us with each and every detail and question we had, which made wedding planning a lot easier. I would recommend Chris at the Arboretum Club over and over. You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I held our wedding reception here on 9/23/17. We both live out of state, so I was very worried about planning a wedding from so far away. I am beyond grateful that we chose the Arboretum Club! Chris and Nicole were both so helpful the entire year leading up to the big day. They both were so responsive via phone and email and dealt with all of our millions of questions (from me and my mother)! They even planned the tasting around our schedule as much as they could, which we really appreciated.
The venue is beautiful and we heard so many compliments about the food from our guests. There is a room right next to the dining room that was perfect for cocktail hour, and even had outdoor access overlooking the golf course. They even played a DVD with pictures of my husband and I behind the bar.
Nicole worked our wedding reception the night of, and she did an amazing job. She was very attentive to my (and my mothers and husbands) needs all night. The reception went so smoothly, no issues at all! Going on the golf course to take pictures was really nice also (only bride and groom). The private bridal suite was amazing, it had a little room with a couch and a large private bathroom attached, it was perfect for holding the wedding gifts and bridal parties bags. I didn't realize how much I would appreciate that bridal suite, it was perfect for doing the bustle on my dress in private. My husband held the key, so only we had access to that room.
Nicole worked with us ahead of time arranging the dining room and head table to what we wanted, which was not the traditional straight-across head table. It worked out perfectly and the dance floor is a really good size. This venue is also very reasonably priced. We searched for a while of different venues in the area and compared pricing; and for what we received, the Arboretum was the best bang for our buck.
Our reception was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend!!!

The Arboretum Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. Chris and Sarah were great to work with and were very responsive every step of the way. They helped coordinate everything on the night of the wedding so we could just relax and enjoy. The layout was perfect with an area for cocktail hour, spacious room for the reception, and outdoor space with a few extra tables. The food, drinks, and hors d'oeuvres were incredible. The packages were very reasonably priced compared to local alternatives. Our wedding ended up exactly how we wanted it and we can't recommend the Arboretum Club highly enough!

Chris and her team do a great job of keeping communication open during the planning process. They were very accommodating and very flexible working with me with only 3 months to plan for a wedding of 85. This venue is very clean, warm and inviting and a great value for those looking to find an upscale venue at a reasonable price. We held both our ceremony and reception and I was extremely impressed by how quickly the staff worked to change up the rooms. Very professional!

My daughter was married a little over a month ago at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove, IL. From our first conversation with Chris to the day of the wedding details handled by Sarah, the entire planning process with these two people was fun and virtually stress free. No matter how many times we called or emailed, no matter how many questions we asked, everything was handled quickly and efficiently. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful, and our event went off without a hitch. They were a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who wants a positive experience in planning a major event.

When I started thinking about planning my wedding, I knew it had to be back in my home state of Illinois. I knew it would be difficult to plan a wedding from 1,000 miles away, but I thought if I could find the right vendors I would be up for the challenge.

Enter Chris and Sarah. From the MINUTE we met Chris, I knew she was the one. Her energy level and passion for her work was evident. I told her that we were from out of town and we were nervous about planning from so far away. The very first thing she said to me was "Oh, don't even worry! It won't be a problem!" My husband and I had a long engagement, which meant a lot of planning and emails back and forth with Chris. She took the time to answer all of my questions, both big and small and was nothing but accommodating through the entire journey.

The day of our wedding it was forecasted to be sunny. Surprise, surprise it rained. I was devastated (for maybe 2 minutes), but Chris and her staff did everything in their power to transform the reception space into a wonderful ceremony location. Everything went off without a hitch (minus the weather) and it is all because of Chris and her amazing staff at The Arboretum Club. They are simply the best!

My wife and I had our wedding reception here back in May. They were truly amazing! Our initial meeting with them was a breath of fresh air after interviewing so many other places. They showed a real willingness to work with us to make sure that we had the wedding reception that we wanted on the budget that we had. Chris and Sarah were always excited to see us and to discuss our reception. They were always so patient with us and gave us honest answers and advice when we needed it. They were so amazing and helpful that you would have thought that it was a member of their own family that was getting married. The golf course here provided a lovely and perfect back drop for our wedding pictures. The food was amazing and our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. The staff was always courteous to all of our guests. German, the banquet manager, did a great job of making sure that we were happy throughout our entire reception. My wife and I had very high expectations for our reception and The Arboretum Club did an excellent job of exceeding our expectations!

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding at the arboretum club. Everything went perfect, the place looked amazing, and our wedding went off with almost no problems. We had our ceremony at the venue as well and the way they transformed the room was amazing. We were so glad we went with the chair covers. During the ceremony they really made the room look great. During the rehearsal, my mom was really worried about the way the room looked, (especially since the florist hadn't done anything yet) but she walked into the room the day of the wedding beforehand and was very impressed. We worked with Chris mostly prior to our wedding and she was very according, super helpful, always willing to answer questions whenever we had issues. We had an issue with our florists not returning our calls about a month out and Chris got on the phone immediately and called the florist telling them they need to call the bride and settle things. During the wedding weekend, Allie helped us with running the show and she was wonderful. She was always there when we needed her and extremely helpful during the rehearsal since we realized a few things we forgot about in terms of how it was going to work the next day. We didn't interact with him a ton, but the head chef German was just as amazing as the rest. Later in the evening of our wedding day, there were a few questions I needed to ask/things to take care of and he was more than accommodating. The actual room looked spectacular with the up lighting and the ceiling drapery. It is definitely worth it to spend the extra money for that. I would recommend the Arboretum club for a wedding to anyone. Everyone we talked to after our wedding couldn't complement us enough on it. The food was spectacular, they had a great time, and said it was one of the best weddings they had attended. I believe we got the chicken and the roast sirloin. People were saying the beef was phenomenal. A++++. Such an amazing place!

My husband and I hosted a wedding reception for our son and his wife at the Arboretum Club, and could not have been more pleased with how it turned out. In planning the event, we worked with Allie, who was extremely personable, and bent over backwards to be flexible, helpful, and ensure that it was a fabulous evening. When we arrived the night of the reception, Chris (Allie's boss) was there to greet us and make sure everything met our expectations before turning us over to Herman, who stayed with us throughout the evening to coordinate and keep everything running smoothly. Every aspect of the reception exceeded our expectations and that of our guests, who were quite complimentary. The room was beautifully setup, every entree was delicious and cooked perfectly, and the staff was incredibly helpful and responsive to our needs. It simply could not have been better. Our sincerest thanks to you and your staff for making Britton & Heather’s reception a truly fabulous and memorable event!

I highly recommend having your next event at the Arboretum Club! My husband and I just got married there on July 3rd and everything went perfectly! We were extremely impressed with the Arboretum from the first meeting all the way through the wedding day! We worked with Chris and Allie. Both women were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were good listeners and always made us feel very special. We were offered a 20% discount for getting married on a Friday which was very helpful for the budget! The space is beautiful and our guests loved having the option of an outdoor cocktail hour! On the day of the wedding we we took pictures in a beautiful location on the golf course with bridges, trees, and a pond! Very nice! The reception space was large and had floor to ceiling windows overlooking the course. Our guests loved the food (lots of compliments on the skewers and salmon) and had a blast! The Arboretum Club was a great choice for us! It was affordable, close to hotels that shuttle for our guests, had great customer service, and was beautiful! We recommend it to anyone!!

Everyone at The Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove was a pure joy to work with. They helped me make our wedding day exactly how we wanted it. We changed little things here and there and they were nothing but accommodating. The food is excellent. One of our guests told us they had the best champagne he ever had. The room is beautiful with the wall of windows. Chris helped me through everything, especially the day of the wedding, when we had to change lots of parts of the plan. She made everything work and kept my stress level low! She, Allie, German and Tracy all helped make our day as much fun as it was. We have nothing but good things to say about everything regarding our reception, from the minute we chose The Arboretum Club we knew it would be an amazing evening! Chris and Allie were great with us...even patient with us with every little detail!! German, Alex, Jesus and the servers made sure each and every guest had everything they needed/wanted throughout the evening.

When we walked into the room for the first time I started to cry because I never saw anything more beautiful! I have seen many pictures but I can honestly say the room was more than we ever could have expected.

Our reception was 1 month ago and I still receive compliments regarding the food...from the appetizers to the main course (we had a combo plate of prime rid and chicken dijon). I have been to may weddings where the bride and groom don't eat...but after our "taste test" we agreed no matter what we woujld eat and we did :)

2 of my friends have already had their wedding here and another one in a couple months and we actually look forward to the food, which not many people can say about wedding food!

Chris is amazing. She was very responsive to my hundreds of questions. She made sure that the day went by without any problems. My pens I brought for the guestbook didn't work and she quickly came back with sharpies for me. The food is also very good. The outside ceremony is beautiful and the inside is great as well.

We had the most amazing wedding on 12/13/2014 at The Arboretum Club. Allie and Chris were an absolute pleasure to work with. We are still getting compliments about our venue, especially the food. This place was perfect, from start to finish!!
I was worried that with 200+ guests the room was gonna be too tight, BUT it worked out perfectly!
Our DJ had a quite a big setup with TV's etc. and they were able to accomodate him including speakers in all corners and uplighting throughout the whole room.
The food was delicious, the layout of the table was absolutely stunning, and the facility was clean and looked great!!
I had so many questions and emails back and forth with their sales team and they always answered me right back quickly and always answered every question.
The bathrooms were clean and big to accomodate all guests, the bridal suite worked out great, and they even allowed us to use the ladies locker room for more room when needed.
The entire place was for us and our friends and family, it was amazing!!
The facility is on a golf course and they decorated a golf cart for us to take pictures on too.
I couldn't be happier with our decision to have our wedding here.
It was absoutely perfect!! I wish I could re-live it one more time.
Would without a doubt recommend this venue to others!!

Chris and Allie worked with us through all our planning and our wedding day. Everything was perfect, we couldn't have asked for more. They walked us through every step and worked with us. They were always willing to answer any questions we had, and we had a lot, and meet with us based on our schedule. My mom and I had a few last minute ideas and changes we wanted to make and they were more than willing to help make these changes happen.

The Place:
The Arboretum is a very small and intimate place. The one thing we absolutely loved was that they host one wedding at a time, so you are the center of attention. The next thing we loved was that we up until the day before the wedding to decide if we wanted the ceremony inside or outside. The best part of the whole day was that after we were pronounced man and wife, my husband and I walked back down the aisle and drove away in a golf cart.

The food and cake:
The food that was served at our wedding was delicious. We had lemon chicken rice soup (people are still talking about it) and Italian style salad. For dinner we gave the choice of prime rib, pan roasted chicken, and a hazelnut encrusted grouper. My husband and I got the fish and prime rib, so I can vouch that they tasted amazing. I never got the chance to try the chicken, but some of my bridal party had said it was amazing. Our cake was ordered from Lovin Oven, they had recently switched to them a month before our wedding. BEST CAKE EVER!!! Their cakes are very fun and have many different types to choose from.

Like I had said before, I wouldn't have changed our wedding one bit. It was perfect for my husband and I. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

My partner and I finally decided to tie the know after 21 years, now that it's legal in Illinois. We planned our wedding in just five weeks! Everyone at The Arboretum Club was phenomenal to work with. They were flexible, had great ideas and suggestions. Our wedding was fantastic and we would not have changed a thing! I would completely recommend and encourage anyone to use The Arboretum Club for any event. We were suppose to have our ceremony outside. They have a beautiful area. Mother nature decided to throw a wrench into the plans. We had a massive storm come through just 4 hours prior to start time and it lasted about 1 1/2 hours. When I talked to Chris 90 minutes before we were to start she said she knew how much we wanted the ceremony to be outside and gave me her word that it would be ready in time. Although I was skeptical, she came through!! I have no idea what they did, but the grounds were clean and dry!! The rest of the neighborhood looked like a tornado came through and our ceremony area looked as if it was the only thing not touched. Chris, Allie, Lisa and the rest of the staff at The Arboretum are without a doubt a PLEASURE to work with. Everything from day 1 of walking into the Arboretum to days after when I picked up stuff we had left there, they are the friendliest and most compassionate staff I have worked with. We offered 3 different entree's and everybody was saying how good their's was.

Some people may overlook customer service for other things, but this place does not. They will make sure you are stress free for any event you are looking to have.

The Arboretum as a wedding venue exceeded our expectations on our wedding day and during the planning process. We had our ceremony at a local church and the reception at the Arboretum. We worked with Allie and Chris in preparing for our day, and they promptly answered our phone calls and helped us figure out our options. They were very professional and a pleasure to work with.
On the actual wedding day, Herman, Lisa and Allie were present. The level of service during the entire reception was excellent, and we received many compliments on the set-up, food and décor. The staff also worked well with our day-of wedding coordinator to make everything run smoothly. Herman and his team did a wonderful job with the set-up, dinner service, and closing everything down at the end of the night. They were available to help our family members and friends with whatever they needed, which we really appreciated. Some of our guests even said it was "the best wedding they had been to!" We are very happy we chose the Arboretum.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Arboretum Club only two days ago and couldn't wait any longer to rave about what a wonderful experience it was! We began planning with Allie, the Sales Manager. She was very warm, approachable, and accommodating from day 1. She never made us feel uneasy about coming to her at any time with our questions, and was always very prompt about answering us, along with giving us great advice along the way. We also dealt with Chris Smith, the Director of Sales and Catering, and she was just as amazing. She took the time to listen to what we wanted, and made sure that she followed through. We always felt that our opinions were important at The Arboretum Club, and that was just the planning process! The actual day of the wedding absolutely exceeded our wildest dreams!! We were greeted at the door by Allie, who let us know exactly how the flow of the night would go, which was reassuring, because time seemed to fly by so quickly that day! We were able to take photos with our bridal party, and then Allie handed us the keys to our bridal golf cart where we were whisked away to take photos on their gorgeous course. There are so many beautiful photo opportunities there! When we returned back, Allie gave my husband and I a sneak peak at the reception room before any of our guests entered. I was speechless. The staff did such an absolutely amazing job at decorating. We did the pipe&drape behind our head table with uplighting, along with uplighting in the corners of the room, and the drape in the center of the ceiling. It was gorgeous. Our cake was displayed in the middle of the dance floor, and it came out perfectly-- just as we described it to Allie a few weeks before. The Arboretum has a contract with Lovin Oven (included with the hall package!) and we later found out it was also extremely delicious!! Overall, the night flowed flawlessly and it felt like a dream. I would recommend The Arboretum Club to any future couple!!

We booked the Arboretum Club for our reception after looking all over the area for the perfect place- so glad we did! Allie was great to work with and kept on top of everything we wanted. She was in contact with us all before the wedding and was there that day as well. Everything looked perfect, and the food was wonderful. Everyone commented on the great service as well. I loved having the patio available to people for the cocktail hour - we put a game of bags out there that added some fun to the cocktail hour. I would definitely recommend to anyone planning their wedding!

We had our wedding at the Arboretum Club this past Friday. First of all, I have to say Allie is amazing! When we first walked in we felt so welcomed and she was so sweet. After talking, for just a few minutes, I knew we had to book them for our venue. They didn't have the date we wanted available at first and I was very stuck on the date I had originally wanted but I loved the place so much that I agreed to change the date to a Friday instead. I had a few other places I wanted to check out but I skipped visiting them because I fell in love with the Arboretum club. It was beautiful, clean and I loved all they had to offer. I obviously made the right choice because all of my guests have been complimenting us on how great everything was. I keep getting comments saying it was the nicest wedding they have ever been too and the best food they have ever tasted, especially at a wedding. The food was beyond amazing!! The whole place was perfect for pictures and the golf cart, all nicely decorated for newlyweds, was a cute little extra. We had our ceremony outside under the gazebo and that was perfect as well. We had asked them to decorated it (with decorations we provided) and they did a wonderful job. It was a beautiful day, thankfully, but it was sunny and the gazebo had just the right amount of shade so the sun wasn't blinding us. They made sure the room was done nicely and even made sure I approved. Which I did because it was even more beautiful than I had imagined in my head. They paid attention to details and set up the room perfectly. I am more than pleased with our venue choice and will recommend them to all of my friends that are planning on having an event. My uncle is even planning to come back and golf there. Thank you for making my dream wedding become a reality! Love this place and the staff.

We are so happy that we chose the Arboretum Club as the venue for our wedding. We worked with both Chris and Allie during the planning process and they were both great. My husband and I only looked at 4 venues and knew right away that we would have a great experience at Arboretum Club. They were more than accommodating in every request we had. My dad works for Pepsi and when I found out they served the "other" product, I knew my dad would be hesitant. They immediately assured us that only Pepsi products would be served. I'd like to say I was a pretty easy going bride and they made the process that much easier. Chris is exceptional! My parents live out of state and she made me feel at ease with every concern I had. Between her and Allie, they responded to any email in a timely manner and if they didn't have the answer immediately, they responded as soon as they could. If I could do my wedding all over again, I would book this venue in a heart beat! My husband and I, our families and friends had a fantastic night. The food was amazing and the selection at the bar was top notch. They were also so helpful keeping all of my other vendors in the loop. I cannot say enough good things about this place!!

We had our wedding reception at The Arboretum Club. We couldn't be happier to have had our reception there!
The venue is gorgeous and very elegant, the service was great, and they really made it a smooth process to plan every detail for that special day.
I loved that the room had a beautiful view of the golf course, and that there's that flexibility to have your party inside the building, but also the cocktail hour outside and at the Gallery.
Another great detail, is that your reception is the only one going on at a time, you don't have multiple weddings going on on other rooms, and that makes your celebration very unique and private.
They have an excellent food selection, the food was delicious.
The decoration was exquisite. If you want to have an elegant and beautiful wedding, you can have it at The Arboretum.
There's so much space around for pictures, outdoors at the golf course or inside.
The best part is that their prices are very competitive. The cost of all of their packages are very reasonable. You get excellent value in all your wedding party services when you choose The Arboretum Club!
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have a memorable wedding! :)

Chris was awesome to work with on our planning. Allie was helpful too with the rehearsal dinner planning and menu with a couple of weeks notice before the wedding. Chris made suggestions, was always there to answer questions and make sure everything ran smoothly. The day of I think I surprised her when myself and one of the bridemaids went there early to check everything out. She let us look around even though she was with another client and still took time out to see if I had any questions. German and the staff took care of us during the reception and even made sure to leave cake for us on the table. Everyone was very attentive, service and food were great. If you can, you should definitely go with the ceiling drapery as it really makes the room look elegant. Oh and for the food tasting, don't eat before you go as you eat enough for a week that one seating. It was nice to have the ceremony and reception in one place and have the food and cake included all in one package. It was amazing how quickly the ceremony space was turned over for the reception. Chris works with you on the layout of the room as well. As we had started with the ceremony on the window side and moved it to the non-window side and it looked amazing.

The Arboretum Club did a phenomenal job putting together our wedding reception. They were very flexible and willing to work with us on every little detail imaginable. Chris always answered questions with a smile on her face. Chris and Allie were a pleasure to work with. E-mail responses from the staff were prompt. The staff did a wonderful job putting together our tasting right before the wedding. My best advice to any bride is to arrive hungry. There's a lot of food!

The Arboretum Club offers a beautiful space with an indoor and outdoor bar. Since the Arboretum Club only has one wedding a night, your party gets full attention from the staff. It was very nice having the venue to ourselves.

Despite us (including wedding party) arriving a little late for pictures, Chris allowed the bride and groom to take pictures on the golf course. We really appreciated this.

The room was put together beautifully. We had a traditional head table for the wedding party with the dance floor in the center. The chair covers and ribbons added a nice touch of color to the room. When visiting guest tables, we were continuously complimented on how wonderful everything was and how good the food tasted. One guest even commented that the lemon chicken soup was the best soup he ever had. Our sweet table display was very nice, and the Arboretum Club offers numerous pastry choices. We also got comments on our delicious cake.

Chris was with us every step of the way from initial planning to the night of the reception. If we ever had any concerns, it seemed that Chris and Allie were right there both during the process and the event itself. We couldn’t have picked a better reception venue.

I was married in August 2013 and this was where my husband and I had our reception. It was amazing. I had so many ideas in my head from Pinterest, from my parents, from magazines, that I didn't think that anything could match up to what I had thought up. We visited many potential spaces but nothing was grabbing our eye. As soon as we entered the Arboretum Club's space and met their staff we knew we had found our dream space. There are so many great things I could go on and on but I'll focus on what was important to us.
First and foremost: Price. We were on a budget and with a Chicago area wedding in mind that doesn't leave many options. We sat down with the coordinator and after finding ways to cut some costs (skipping on the lobster and having chicken) (choosing less expensive appetizers) (choosing chair covers instead of fancy chairs)...etc.. we found ourselves with a budget we could make happen.
Next, We had a guest count of 250 and had been having trouble finding a space that could fit that for a reasonable price. The Arboretum Club totally worked!
Next, we wanted good food. This place has AMAZING food! Seriously, guests went up to my mom and complimented her on the food after just the first soup course! They made their food from scratch and it's amazing.
Next, we didn't want to deal with a million vendors. This place almost includes it all... food, decor, open bar, space (indoor and outdoor), brides room, nice restrooms, even the wedding cake is included in the cost. The only vendors we brought in were flowers, photo booth, photography/video, and a sound system.
We also wanted it to look classy. This place was so great! So many compliments on how beautiful the wedding was and I felt so great about it all! The pictures on the course and around the trees were beautiful. Also, they only have one space here for weddings so yours is the ONLY wedding going on that night. Which is incredible.
You WON'T regret having your wedding here!

I loved getting married here. I went to several different venues and this place literally had the whole package. I love that everything is included in the price of per person. There are not a lot of extras they make you pay for. 4 hours of open bar, salad, soup, intermezzo, coffee, main meal and cake all for the price of an entree. I worked with Chris and Allie and everytime I had a questions, they got back to me right away. The day went smoothly thanks to Allie, and I had to worry about NOTHING. Everyone raved about how beautiful my wedding was, and I really did not put any extra effort into it than what was provided. I would reccomend this place to anyone, especially on a budet. You dont need to spend 50 thousand dollars to have an elegant wedding.

I can't say enough great things about the Arboretum Club. We worked with Chris and Allie while planning our wedding. They were both extremely friendly, helpful, organized, and so quick to respond to any questions. I was blown away with how beautiful the room looked the day of. German was also super helpful and fun to work with. The food was awesome at the tasting- and just as great at our wedding! Our guests raved about the filet and the butternut squash ravioli. The day of service was excellent. Our band even commented on how of all the weddings they've done- Arboretum by far had the best service. After touring numerous venues in the Chicago area, we chose the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove for our March 2013 wedding because we loved the Prairie Style building and found this venue to ultimately be one of the best values for a high quality and private event. It is wonderful to be the only wedding at this site with indoor and outdoor flexibility and we were very impressed with the attentiveness of staff every step of the way. Chris provided great support in planning the event - it ran very smoothly from our indoor ceremony (weather was too chilly to be outdoors), cocktail hour in the restaurant, and the reception which was the night of our lives! We received many compliments about the ease of our event (it was very convenient and welcoming for guests of all ages) and many people said that the food was the best wedding food that they have had (the salmon in particular!). My husband and I weren't looking to obsess over wedding details but rather enjoy the event planning and, more importantly, prepare for a happy life together - and this was a perfect venue for those goals. We look forward to returning for meals at the Wild Goose Cafe and hopefully organizing other special events in our lives together at this special place.

We are so happy that we had our party at the Arboretum! Chris was the absolute best! She was always friendly, accommodating, enthusiastic, and super sweet. Our event was fabulous, thanks to her! We held our daughter's wedding at the Arboretum Club and we were very pleased with the outcome. Chris was very helpful and accomodating. Our daughter wanted food stations and all of our guests commented that the food was delicious. The room looked beautiful and the service was attentive but not intrusive. Our wedding at the Arboretum Club was perfect. Allie and Chris were always immediately responsive to our questions. They accomodated an unusual request for us that no other facility would. All the guests commented on how delicious the food was. The food was served at just the right times. The set-up was beautiful and they thought of things to make it run smoothly that would never have occurred to us. We held our wedding reception at The Arboretum Club in January 2013 and I can not speak highly enough of the service we received throughout the entire wedding planning process as well as the night of the reception. If you don't have a vision for your wedding, they will help you create that vision. If you do know what you want your wedding night to look like, they will make that happen as well. We had a wedding planner without having to hire one. Chris, our representative from the club, called each of our vendors prior to our reception night to make sure they had all the information they needed so we didn't have to. Our guests are still talking about how fun the night was and how good the appetizers and dinner were. There was plenty of room for guests to move around easily, our cups were always full and the staff was extremely attentive to our guests, as well as our, needs. The bridal room is huge and there is plenty of room in the bathroom so no worries about how big the dress is or how many people are in there with you. The property also offers a great ambiance inside and out for photographs no matter what time of year. I would not hesitate to host another event here and recommend it to everyone who wants a stress free wedding day. Thank you to all at the Arboretum Club who made our night perfect!

Our experience with the Arboretum Club was absolutely fantastic! They made everything so easy. Mike was able to walk us through the entire process, and helped us with our planning "hiccups" without batting an eye. On our wedding day, Chris helped us with everything. If there was anything that went wrong, no one (including us) would have ever noticed. We got lots of compliments on the food, too! They made it easy, and I am so grateful!

I could not believe how amazing this venue was. I would recommend it to anyone. The food was AMAZING, which is nearly impossible to find at a wedding. The food was identical to the food you tried at the tasting. They were very professional and willing to work with me on all my ideas. Due to weather we had to change the ceremony into indoors, and I could not have been happier. I am actually glad this happened because it was just so beautiful. I would have never wanted my wedding anywhere else and it was exactly how I pictured it. The staff made everything so easy for me. The entire process was very stress free and the staff handled everything.

Mike at the Arboretum Club did a great job of helping us plan our wedding day. He called to check in often, was always available if I called with a question, and was just a nice person to work with. He helped make sure we were on schedule with our different tasks, allowed us to drop off our things earlier in the week, and gave us suggestions when we were just done making decisions. The only downside was that Mike was not able to stay the whole night. Lisa did a nice job being invisible and making sure things went smoothly, but I really trusted Mike to make sure everything would go smoothly. He even worked with Chris to make sure we could use a Rolls Royce to pull up and drop me off down the isle, and pull it around the golfcart path so we could use it for pictures during cocktail hour. The food was honestly just ok. Most people got meat that was overcooked, but it all worked out fine because everything else was so good. I was treated wonderfully, and everything I asked for happened.

We held my daughter's wedding reception for 200 at The Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove. I do not have enough words to express how happy I was with everything. We had them do some setting up for us and it was well worth the price to not have to worry about anything. We did not have a wedding planner but I would not have gotten any better service if I had. The food was very good...I can't say that about most weddings I have been to. We had the prime rib and the chicken dijon as a second choice. With the ranch mashed potatoes or wild rice to complement the entree and with a combination of carrots and green beans for the vegetable (a request we made) they were flawless. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious, followed by ceasar salad; and a raspberry sorbet intermezzo before the entree made for a very nice elegant dinner.
The room looked beautiful and the backdrop for the bridal party was lovely - no simple drape here. Any questions or issues were handled quickly and efficiently. We had some guests who were gluten and dairy sensitive and they had courses for them as well. Thanks to Mike, Chris, Herman and Lisa for the fabulous experience. I recommend them all highly. You will not be disappointed!

I had my May 2012 wedding at The Arboretum Club and cannot say enough GREAT things about it! The room was perfect, the food was delicious (everyone raved about the cream of chicken rice soup!) and everyone had a great time! Mike and Chris were both beyond helpful with recommendations for florists, DJ's, Photographers, etc. They really went above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I held my wedding reception in March 2012 at the Arboretum Club. The whole experience was wonderful. In the planning stages they were very responsive, always answering phone calls and e-mail promptly. I thought the food was excellent (we had cheddar broccoli soup, Italian salad, pecan asiago chicken, rosemary roasted red potatoes, and asparagus). The venue is modern and has windows that overlook the golf course. I liked that I was the only wedding, and that there was a separate area for the cocktail hour. The decorated golf cart made for great pictures! During the reception we never ate cake, so I asked for two pieces to take back to the hotel - and the gave me the entire rest of the cake - probably enough for 15 people! I would recommended this venue to anyone. I was very torn between this venue and another that was about $1000 cheaper (but offered a cheaper product as well). I'm very glad that I spent the extra money on a quality place that that listened to exactly what I wanted.

Everyone at The Arboretum Club was MORE then fantastic! The event staff and wait staff were amazing! They all did everything and anything they could to help us! Even with my thousand emails and changes the sales team made it happen!!! We can't stop tallking about our wedding and all of our guests were amazed at how everyone working there was SOOOOOOOOO nice. The food was fantastic and always hot. Everything was clean and beautiful. Everything was on time and we had not even one flaw. Tracie at the Arboretum Club was the most professional, pleasant, flexible wonderful person I've ever worked with. She made our wedding day experience perfect in every way. She took the time to understand what we want, she guided us and was there for us every step throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. The venue was elegant, very clean, they provided a bridal suite for me and my bridesmaids to get ready. Tracie is so responsive, I get an answer right away after I email her some questions and concerns. They are all very patient and help you along the way with everything. The place was set up beautifully (well worth it to have them do the set up for you). They are very accomodating and so nice. And I liked that because of the size, they usually only have one event for that time so you definitely know that all eyes are on you for the day. The food was very good, everybody enjoyed it. And they make sure that everything is perfect for you.

I can't say enough good things about the Arboretum Club. From the very start of our planning process, Chris and Allie were extremely accommodating and helpful, and were quick to answer any questions we had. Working with Chris and Allie at Arboretum club was amazing. One of the main reasons we booked Arboretum Club was because we felt confident in Chris and Allie’s organizational skills and experience in planning weddings. I was extremely pleased with German’s management of the night. He made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. Allie was our sales manager and she was fantastic. She always answered my questions promptly, and I asked a lot of questions.
We had both our ceremony and reception there and both rooms looked great. The layout is perfect for the reception as it's a big square and there is not a bad seat. There was plenty of room to move around and we had just about 200 people to fill the space.
Our food was great, we received many compliments on it, and the staff during dinner were quick and efficient.
The Arbo worked with us on the cost because we did an offseason date, but they did not sacrifice quality in the slightest. We had a very elegant event for a very reasonable price.
We loved working with the Arbo and recommend it highly.

My daughter had both her wedding ceremony and reception at the Arboretum Club. We could not have been happier. Not only were they great at setting up everything exactly the way my daughter wanted it but when we had a traumatic event a few months before the wedding they stepped up and helped us plan and make decisions with kindness and patience. They were flexible as we changed our minds several times. They were there the day of the rehearsal and reception making sure that everything went according to plan. The Arboretum Club was fantastic!! The moment we walked in there we knew that it was definitely the place for us to have our wedding. The atmosphere is just beautiful and the room was absolutely perfect! Chris Snider is an absolute Angel. She worked with us so much to get the package we wanted for the price we were comfortable with. We got everything we wanted and Chris made that happen. Tracie is also amazing to work with! I feel like they're all my new friends over there, that's how easy they are to work with and get along with. They do whatever it takes to make you happy and comfortable. Always there when I had questions, responded immediately, and said "call us anytime you need anything" about 100 or more times!

The day of the event Tracie and Mike were there to make sure everything got started and German was there throughout the night. We were a little disappointed that German seemed a little MIA all night. We constantly had to hunt him down if we needed something. My photographer and videographer were escorted to their table in the lobby for dinner, and came to me about a half hour later complaining that they were still just sitting out there and hadn't been fed. Had to hunt German down to fix that. My Dad was supposed to get red jell-o instead of cake, that didn't happen, so I had to go and hunt German down again to rectify that. Being the bride I shouldn't have had to do those things. Never once did he come to me or my husband, or either of our parents to see if we needed anything or if there was anything he could do, so that was just a little disappointing. Sometimes he was great, but when it really counted, he was never around.

The food was excellent for the most part. I didn't get to eat much of it but at the tasting it was great and our guests are raving! The Bistro Chicken ROCKS!!!! We asked for our filet mignon to be cooked medium to medium well and most came out pretty rare so most of our guests didn't eat it, but other than that, everything else was great. I do think I got ripped off on my cake though. I had a pretty big cake and they cut the pieces paper thin and they insisted that there was not one piece of cake left over for us to take home. Who doesn't have wedding cake left over???

When the reception was over and the DJ finished playing his last song, the lights came on and the room was immediately attacked by their cleaning crew. I thought it was a little tacky that while I was standing on the dance floor saying goodbye to my guests they were literally tearing up the dance floor right beneath my feet. I think they could have waited like 10-15 min. while my guests left before they started stacking up chairs, tearing down tables, and vacuuming.

I would recommend The Arboretum Club for the most part. Their office staff is fantastic, even after the event, but the staff that's there the day of could use some pointers from the office staff.

Chris at the arboretum club is nothing short of amazing! She was so quick to respond to any and all of my emails throughout the entire process. We got married on April 30th 2016 and we had planned to have an outdoor wedding, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. The inside ceremony turned out beautiful. The only improvements I would make would be that the dinner service was a bit slow. We had asked to serve dinner throughout the speeches. We were supposed to start our first dance at 8 and didn't end up starting until 930. Then we only ended up having an hour and a half for dancing. Also I had to organize and take all of my belongings home that night. It kind of put a damper on the end of the night as I just wanted to get to the hotel and continue my evening but had to stay to help clean up my things. I would've preferred to be able to leave the things overnight and pick up in the morning. Again, I doubt this is any fault of Chris' or the arboretum club.

Our wedding turned out beautifully! The guests are still complimenting the food even 3 weeks later! I planned and created much of my wedding myself, and the staff here were great with accommodating my needs--even down to a display for my wedding quilt!
Great options for food, decor, and help with anything you need.

After visiting four other potential venues, The Arboretum Club was our last stop. It was by far the best choice that fit our needs, and we signed with Chris on the spot. Both Chris and her assistant Nicole are very accommodating, professional, and prompt. One of my favorite aspects of this venue is that they only focus on one event per day. This ensures their full attention to you and your big day. We are very happy to have had both our ceremony and reception at The Arboretum Club and would highly recommend this venue.
