Above and beyond!
We loved working with the staff at the Ridnour room. Chrystal was so helpful, answered every email (all 150 of them lol) and was always so patient and kind! Every meeting we had with her was direct, informative, and we always left feeling excited and ready!! Our wedding day was beautiful and we couldn’t have been happier! -

Wedding Review
I highly recommend booking an event at the Apothecary Lofts & Ridnour Room with Crystal. It was a perfect location in Lincoln. Our guests enjoyed the event and we had many compliments regarding the venue. Crystal was very professional. She was easy to work with and we really appreciated receiving names of vendors that could help us successfully complete our event. -

Accommodating and Beautiful
The Apothecary Lofts and Ridnour Room was the perfect space for our wedding. The vibe is very historical and almost trips you back in time. Beautiful views of the Lincoln Haymarket! I loved the people who we worked with, and I felt like they genuinely wanted to build a relationship with us before the event. Communication was very easy! The upstairs lofts were cozy and perfect for the bridal party to get ready together! We also had the lofts for our wedding night, and it was so simple to just take the elevator from the reception to the loft. -

A wonderful wedding
The space was beautiful and the staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions. They gave my husband and I a lovely space to have our wedding reception and I highly recommend this space! -

Great location and a great and beautiful venue! I also love how my husband and I had so much freedom to bring in whatever beverages and catering service we wanted. We both received so many compliments from guests of how much they loved this venue! -

Looking for a great venue where you can control your wedding details? The Apothecary Lofts & Ridnour Room is for you.
We held our wedding ceremony in the North Loft and reception downstairs in the Ridnour Room. We catered in our own food and beverage and decorated the way we wanted. Even the color of the accent lighting … you are in control.
Crystal and Jon were awesome to work with! They walk you through each detail of the historic venue, and give you tips as to what’s been done in past wedding and what you could do with yours. You tell them how you want to set up the chairs/tables, and they do it!
It was the perfect, centralized set-up we were looking for to accommodate our guests, especially those from out-of-town. Hotels, restaurants, bars … everything is in walking distance!

We have had a great time working with the staff at the Apothecary Lofts and Ridnour Room. They offer an affordable and beautiful venue that is the perfect place for our entire wedding weekend. We are having our rehearsal dinner in the loft with a smaller group of family and friends. Then the ceremony and reception will both be held in the Ridnour Room. It's great that they allow us to bring in our own catering and alcohol for the reception. That has saved us an incredible amount of money! -

The Apothecary is wonderful! We were able to bring in our own food and alcohol. It was a beautiful facility and we received nothing but positive feedback from our guests. Crystal was extremely helpful and very easy to work with! -

You can't go wrong with the Apothecary. You can choose your own catering service seperately. We had our wedding ceremony there, then the reception. Many people expressed to us that it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to because it was so relaxed and fun. Part of that is the venue. We had an unforgettable time and loved the loft. -

This is a great venue for a wedding reception. Crystal made everything very easy and straightforward. We were able to use our own caterer and provide our own drinks which helped a lot on the cost of our reception. Everything worked great and we had no issues. We also received our damage deposit within a week of our reception. -

We were married in Vermont this summer (and also live in Vermont) and wanted to have a reception in Nebraska to celebrate with family who could not attend the wedding. Planning the reception from across the country was easier than I thought it would be because Crystal was so great to work with. This place is an incredible value, especially considering you can bring in your own food and alcohol - that saved us a ton of money! We used the North Apothecary Loft and it was perfect for us! The Loft is beautiful with wood beams and exposed brick, plus the view you get of the Haymarket from the 5th floor! All of our guests complimented the venue. We loved it! -

Our wedding turned out fabulous and the location was wonderful! All of our out of town family stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown and is literally a 2 min walk to the Apothecary building. We chose the North Loft and made for a very unique setting for our wedding...I had non stop compliments! You must get the wedding package...you get the room from Noon on Friday till Noon on Sunday which gives you ample time to set up and take down all your decor. (We also did our rehearsal on Friday night) And did I mention the suite attached that has a queen sized bed and a Jacuzzi tub!? Amazing!
We also booked our honeymoon trip to Cancun through the Apothecary and got all the VIP treatment while we were in Mexico! Great value and you won't regret it! We plan on booking our next trip through them as well!
We mainly worked with Crystal but the entire staff is wonderful :) I have ZERO complaints! -

We rented the Apothecary Lofts and the Ridnour Room for 2 1/2 days and were thrilled! We held the rehearsal in the Ridnour Room followed by the rehearsal dinner in the north loft. The loft was a wonderful place for the rehearsal dinner, very cozy and private. Following the dinner, the bridal party stayed in the two lofts.....girls in the north and guys in the south. The next morning was so easy and relaxed. The girls had all morning for the hair dressers to come to them and get ready. While this was going on, we (parents and helpers) were in the Ridnour room meeting other vendors and setting up! We had 250 people for the wedding in the Ridnour room and had the reception tables, head table, cake table, etc. set up along the perimeter of the room. The wedding was beautiful!! We then had all the guests exit the Ridnour room as the couple walked out through them. While this was happening we transformed the Ridnour room for the reception. Guests walked back in and couldn't believe it was the same place! The food was set up in the room off to the side of the kitchen and the cake was right outside that door. We also had a full dance band. It was a spectacular evening. Following the reception the newly married couple stayed in the north loft and some of their out-of-town bridal party stayed in the south loft. We did not have a gift-opening the next morning which gave us plenty of time for clean -up.
One of the best things about our wedding weekend was that it was all under one roof! The wedding party (and parents) were so relaxed not having to run all over the place. We did not have to provide extra transportation or extra rooms for the wedding party to get ready in. We could choose all our own vendors and do anything we wanted to do ourselves. The Apothecary staff was very helpful with ideas and answering our questions. I would highly recommend the Apothecary Lofts and Ridnour Room!

The Rindour is a great option to bring in your own food and catering. Hardest part is getting everything out the night of the wedding. -

Perfect place for our reception
We booked the Ridnour Room for our wedding reception mainly so we could choose our own catering. It was perfect for that purpose, and in many other ways. Crystal was absolutely wonderful to work with, very flexible and eager to answer any questions to help us have a great reception. The space is beautiful, with wonderful lights, sound system, and tables and chairs. The check-out time of 2am worked good for us, giving us ample time to tear down after dancing. We highly recommend the Ridnour Room! -

The Apothecary allows you to bring in your own Catering and Bar options. We used the Wedding package which included one of the Lofts that helped accommodate us on Rehearsal Dinner, the girls getting ready that morning and allowed us to stay over that night. The Ridnour room Reception hall was BEAUTIFUL and worked out perfect for us. The flexibility helped us get everything WE wanted for our wedding reception. -

We had a great experience of being able to pick our own vendors. I wish there was a listing of what the room included. Crystal was great about getting back to us about our questions but as the planning process went along I would have to ask questions about tables, sizes, etc so having something I could reference would have made it alot easier. We used Rickys Cafe catering from Overton, KS and they did an amazing job! -

We were allowed to decorate pretty much as we wanted and received numerous compliments from outside vendors and our guests. Very cozy atmosphere and we loved being in such a beautiful old building It suited our needs perfectly I did note that the floors and carpets were quite dirty prior to our event. I ran around barefoot while decorating and my feet were just black. -

I worked with Crystal to secure this venue for a wedding reception in May of 2018. She was very flexible whenever we needed to meet to discuss things about the venue or set up. She was also informative. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful. The brick and wood combination was already lovely to begin with and there were almost no restrictions when it came to decorations. Overall, the venue was beautiful and working with Crystal was very easy. While the cost was a bit more than I had planned on, the flexibility to use different vendors ended up balancing that out for the most part. -

Crystal was super easy to work with and was very helpful in every aspect. It is a bit pricey but for the uniqueness of the space, it was well worth it. -

This venue was perfect for both our ceremony and reception. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The cost is high and parking is difficult downtown, but it was overall perfect for us. The only other downside was that we were responsible for cleaning up and moving most things out by the end of the night. It would have been nice to have paid for someone else to do all of that. -

All in all the Apothecary and Ridnour Room was a really good location to have a reception. We have zero major complaints. It can be difficult to work with vendors on the day of the wedding due to limited amount of time allowed into the building. Luckily we had coworkers there decorating to let catering and bartenders into the Ridnour room. We could probably have given the caterers a set of keys, but didn't know if that was allowed. Once again, overall we had a great time here!

My husband and I worked predominantly with Jonathan. The main issue was we had was miscommunication on when to pay for added items (such as tablecloths). Aside from that, it was a very enjoyable experience. We rented the North Loft which fit our outdoor theme perfectly with the wooden beams and collumns. The kitchen area made it easy to reheat food and serve our guests a buffet style dinner.
The second main reason we chose them for our reception venue is because they did not charge us to NOT have alcohol on site or to NOT use one of their catering partners. Most every other venue wanted to charge us for one or both.
I highly recommend them for any kind of party. -

We had our reception at the Ridnour Room a few weeks ago and everything went perfectly. Crystal quickly answered all questions I had through email. Although the rental is on the pricier side, it's one of the only places I know of that you are allowed to cater in your own alcohol. With the group we had there, this alone paid for itself. The location was great in relation to many downtown hotels and the new Railyard area. -

I was really excited to have a wedding weekend at the Apothecary Lofts, and my reception in the Ridnour Room but the reality was far from a dream wedding! While being able to bring in our own food and drinks helped to save a little money, the price was way too much for the inconveniences involved! Unless you want to fork over even more money, the time constraints are just too pressing if you are trying to set up and tear down for your own wedding. The air conditioning would not kick on, so it was incredibly hot during the reception! The refrigerator in the bar area was not working, so we had to go get tons of ice to keep our beer cold. Despite being told we and our guests could park in the back lot for a reasonable price, my guests, including my entire wedding party had to go out and argue with the building owner Jon Camp who threatened to tow us all night --- even though we were obviously with the wedding (tuxes, dresses -- duh! I was told he was just trying to keep spots open for my guests. Yeah right!) The bathrooms for the Ridnour Room were being used by bar patrons from the bar downstairs all night (we weren't warned of this), and much of the supplies from my toiletries baskets was taken by them. When we confronted them, the bar bouncer and owner came and chewed us out. To top everything off, at the end of the night when my groom and I made our way to the loft for our wedding night, the 'sauna' in the room had NO HOT WATER! So it was a miserable end to a miserable experience. While it is a nice venue in many aspects, I could not recommend it to anyone I didn't hate, at least not with a good conscious about it! -

My fiancé and I, originally booked this venue for our wedding and reception, back in July. Our circumstances have changed and we were not going to be able to use the venue. We are going to be married, much sooner, and by a Justice of the Peace, so no venue will be needed. I contacted The Apothecary, OVER 10 MONTHS OUT, from our booked date, to cancel. I naturally expected that we would lose out on some of our deposit, the cost of cancelling. You can imagine my shock when I was told, that we OWED THEM an additional $250 dollars above the $2000, we already put down, just to cancel the booking!!! That is almost HALF of what the whole rental was going to cost! I can understand keeping a portion of our deposit. But demanding additional money, when we are giving over 10 months of notice, is absolutely insane. My fiancé and I never would have even looked at this venue, in the first place, had we known the type of people we were dealing with. I would have thought that they would realize that a little good will and understanding, on their part, is far more beneficial to their business, than screwing us over for all of our deposit, and then some. So, I will set out to at least warn people, that this is who you are doing business with. -
