The Apiary Team values constructive critiques and are very happy to address your concerns. We are sorry to hear that you feel the planning process was not to your satisfaction. Actually, we have not found any documentation that shows where you were a part of any planning email threads, phone calls, or invoicing. I can assure you though, we had more than 150 email transactions with the hosts of the event as well as countless phone calls. Once the event planner was scheduled to start her duties with the hosts, she and the Apiary Team were in constant contact.

Unfortunately, we are not sure of your reference to the salad. All of our salads, regardless of the time of year, or ingredients, are priced exactly the same. All of our menus are priced according to the current market value.

We appreciate your concern regarding the wellbeing of our team. I can promise you, anyone who works as a Venue Owner, Event Manager, or Event Planner has a passion for the job. The Apiary Team sacrifices nights, weekends, vacations, and other various family related events, on top of working up to 16 hours a day, so that we can host events. We do it because we love being a small part of someone's best day. We do it because we know that meals bring us all together. We do it because we love to celebrate those once in a lifetime events.

Unfortunately, from the very moment the bridal party walked off the party buss, double fisting bottles of champagne, to the moment the last guest left pulling their large cooler of beer, our entire Team was treated with complete disrespect. It is important to note that the host of the event signed a contract stating that they would not bring outside food or beverages, as this jeopardizes our licensing. We were yelled at for asking the Bridal Party to wear their mask while around our Team Members. We are scowled at when the host saw us asking other guests to put on their mask. We were accused of lying when we informed you that Governor Beshear mandated that bars, restaurants, and event venues stop bar service at 10 pm. We were told not to speak to the bride. We were yelled at and called names for the duration of the event. Any rudeness or arrogance experienced from Cooper was the defense of his Venue and his Team and the health of our families. Any mean face, which was appropriately covered the entire day with a mask, from Ewing Anne is directly related to the way we were treated by this event.

We respect that wearing a mask on your wedding day is not a part of any brides vision, but in a time when we, as a society, were encouraged to avoid social gatherings, Apiary held the safety of our clients, their guests, and our team as a top priority. In order to do this, we complied with all of the CDC guidelines and local mandates. During this time of Covid, Apiary has strived to provide an environment that is both safe and hospitable. The guidelines we set in place were our best effort to keep everyone healthy. Unfortunately, your group failed to prioritize the safety of anyone at the event, much less that of our team. We regret that you had a negative experience but hope that you can now understand our position. It was never our intentions to ruin the day, only to keep everyone as safe as possible.
