The venue is gorgeous and everyone is so sweet and helpful! We had the best experience! We also hired Brittany as our coordinator and she kept me from losing my head and made sure that our vendors were all taken care of and made sure that when things began getting hectic I stayed calm. The family was such a delight and we loved having them dancing and enjoying our day just as much as we were. They were so much fun! The horses pulling us in the buggy just made the entrance for myself and bridesmaids so much more amazing. The venue is so beautiful and peaceful and our families LOVED it. I always wanted to get married at a barn and this ranch was way better than I could’ve imagined. -

At Tex Ranch they were quick to respond with any questions that we had and the pricing of the venue. The venue looked amazing the day of the wedding!
The wedding turned out beautifully! They were very great on communicating and working with us answering any questions along the way. The day of the venue there was John and other people to help out the whole time if we had any questions along the way. Since my daughter‘s wedding was on May 7 and one of the first venues of the year we were a little worried about the weather specially in Colorado. The weather turned out beautifully however, if it was not going to be good weather we had a back up plan just in case so that was helpful. -

Speaking from a photographer's perspective this venue is an awesome place! All photo spots are within extremely reasonable walking distance and you can truly dress up the elegantly designed barn to create a gorgeous wedding space. -

My wife and I got married at this venue in late July 2019. We toured the venue back in December 2018 and instantly fell in love. The barn is beautiful and naturally rustic, the views of Pikes Peak and the fields behind the barn make for some fantastic photos. My wife tells me the bridal suite was perfect, and the groom suite was great as well. When night time comes, the lights make the dance floor look amazing, and give an awesome feel to everything. The best part about this venue is how helpful the owners/staff are. They truly are interested in making your day special. We definitely recommend taking advantage of the wedding planning that the venue offers. Lisa was on top of everything the whole time and kept everything running smoothly despite weather challenges. Thank you Tex Ranch for helping make our day! -

My husband and I got married in July and it was absolutely beautiful. We were so happy we chose Tex Ranch. From the barn, to the rolling hills, horses, and ambience it was quite the dreamy venue. -

Jill Sent on 09/17/2018We were married the end of August at Tex Ranch. We wanted a barn venue and loved Tex Ranch barn and the affordability compared to other local barn venues. There were pros and cons with this venue choice.
Pros: The rustic setting was beautiful and everyone was very nice to work with. The day of the wedding the young helpers were especially great getting everything perfect for our day. Our guests were impressed with their work ethic. The outdoor dance floor was fantastic. Our night was a little cool and breezy so everyone was happy to kick up their heels and help us celebrate. Tex Ranch was very accommodating to our vendors. As this is a newer venue, it made finding an available date easier.
Cons: It is a very remote location approximately 20-30 minute drive east of northern Colorado Springs. There are not any retail areas close for last minute forgotten items. Tex Ranch has not built up their vendor roster yet, so locating vendors can be a challenge. We also had to pay an up charge to most of our vendors for travel to the venue as it was outside most of their service areas. At the time of our wedding, it was outside Uber and Lyft radius.
Suggestions to Tex Ranch as they grow as a venue: A cooler in the barn area for ice, beverages, flowers, and left-over food storage would be helpful. A paved walkway from the bridal suite to the barn is necessary. Our bridesmaids wore Converse tennis shoes and the walk was still difficult and dangerous-especially at night. Walkway lights would help, as well. Provide power strips with USB ports in the bridal suite for all the curling irons and phones that need charging. Build up vendor contacts to have on hand when requested; especially florist, cake, and ice vendor that would deliver to the site.
We paid for the complete package, but didn't find it particularly helpful. Our appointment the week before our wedding was canceled, and truthfully, most of our questions and needs could have been met with a video chat.

To all future brides still looking for a venue I would absolutely not recommend using Tex Ranch in Peyton, Colorado.
I just had my wedding there on Monday and while the venue itself is very beautiful and my wedding turned out amazing thanks too the efforts of my wonderful bridal party, I was extremely disappointed by the level of unprofessionalism from the owners of the venue. To start off, the venue told me that they would have three people working the event that I would need to feed so that is all I allocated for them with my caterer. This was not in the contract mind you, I had decided to do that out of the kindness of my heart. However, day of they only had two people working the event, and instead decided to let their entire extended family who was in from out of town crash my wedding. There were about eight or nine of them in total including several young kids. Two of which were harassing several of my guests. They did not ask if their family could crash the wedding nor did they ask if they could eat the food as well. If they would have, I would’ve told them no because the only kids I wanted at my wedding were kids that were directly related to me and my husband. On top of that, my caterer informed me that they tried to start eating the appetizers before the ceremony even started, they ate the majority of the pinwheel sandwich sandwiches so most of my guests didn’t even get a chance to eat those. All eight or nine members of the family went through the food line twice causing us to run out of brisket. They also tried to steal half of the sheet cake before the caterer had even finished cutting it up. I only paid for three plates for the venue not 16 plates of food. It was absolutely unacceptable for them having a family reunion on my dime. The family was also lurking around and being creepy throughout the entirety of the wedding. One older gal was walking around glaring at my guests and making them uncomfortable.
Another thing I was incredibly upset about was the fact that the bathrooms (which are basically small out houses so I understand that they were not much better than ports potties) were not cleaned out before the day of our event and you could smell the piss from them from over 30 feet away by the tables my caterer had set up for the cocktail hour food. The men’s bathrooms did not have a sink and the hand sanitizer stations were bone dry, and had a clear layer of dust on them, meaning they probably hadn’t been filled in quite a while. Some of the men were resorting to using water bottles from the bar to wash their hands. I found out the day after my wedding that a lot of people were complaining about them because of how disgusting they were. I had no idea because I did not go in them. I used the bathroom that was in the bridal suite. The state of the bathrooms was absolutely unacceptable and for the amount of money I paid, they should have had a pump truck come out and empty out the bathrooms before my wedding day. The coolers in the bar also still had standing water in them from whatever event they had before ours that we had to clean out when we got there that morning.
Lastly, the venue was supposed to help with the set up, transition and take down of the tables and chairs. They did request that we have two or three people to help them with this. However, the only thing they set up and took down were the tables. My bridal party had to set up all of the chairs, do all of the transition and take down all of the chairs by ourselves.
I am so thankful to my bridal party for keeping the majority of this away from me until after the wedding so that it didn’t ruin my big day and they are the only reason that my wedding went as well as it did. I am so unbelievably mad and disappointed about the level of unprofessionalism from the owners of this venue. My caterer has told me that she refuses to do any other events there and will be recommending to all of our future clients that they do not book that venue and I would highly recommend that you find a different venue as well. I don’t want anyone else to potentially have their special day ruined by those people.

The owners let their family crash my wedding, their kids were chasing my little cousin around and tried following her into the bathroom. My caterer could smell piss from over 30 feet away trying to set up food stations. The industrial coolers had standing water in them when we got there the day of the wedding and we had to vigorously clean them to get them clean enough for my bartender to work in there. They stole basically 16 plates of food from us. Ate a ton of our appetizers. And tried to steal half a sheet cake before my caterer had even cut it up. There was a woman who was part of their family walking around glaring at all of my guests. This is just some of the drama we wen through -

We held our event there on Sept. 7th, and the owners allowed their family to eat and steal our catered food, they stole and ate the cake, they stole and ate the appetizers, it was unbelievable!
The owner was lurking around in her slinky pajamas the entire night, they allowed their family to crash the reception and their kids were harassing our guests! The bathrooms are just portapotties, and the men HAD NO WHERE TO WASH THEIR HANDS! THINK ABOUT THAT! Men hold their penis when they urinate, so EVERY MALE was walking around touching food, people, etc.. with dirty hands! Health Code violation! The hand sanitizer hanging by the bathroom, was empty! The smell from the men's portapotty was awful! It was causing everyone to gag! And it wafted through the outdoor area! The poor tiny little horses they used to pull the carriage were being whipped because they were getting stuck in the sand when pulling a carriage of bridesmaids and the bride up to the wedding area! They could have brought the carriage around through the parking area and then dropped the people off, or used a tractor to pull the carriage full of heavy people, but they forced those poor animals to suffer while pulling the heavy carriage full of people up a sandy hill! It was heartbreaking! I didnt see any water for the horses, nor did I see a water or food dish for the limping dog that runs around there on both days we were there and it was HOT! There's much more, but you get the drift! I even wonder if they have proper licensing, probably need to look that up! These people, this venue are unacceptable and they owe my son and his wife a FULL COMPLETE REFUND AND OFFER THEM ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION for the inconveniences they purposely caused, the intentional theft that has happened to us and many others as well, the health code violations, abuse of the animals, etc... THEY ALSO MADE US SET UP AND TEAR DOWN AFTER THE WEDDING! THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE PEOPLE TO DO THIS! UNACCEPTABLE! THEY OWE MY SON AND HIS WIFE A FULL REFUND AND MORE FOR ALL OF THE HELL THEY PUT THEM THROUGH! THIS VENUE SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE EVER AGAIN!
