We hired a string trio from Terra Vista Strings for our March wedding in Austin. They were super easy to work with and have a wide catalogue of music (available on their website - take a look!). They will also learn new songs for an extra charge. We didn’t have them learn a new song since we were happy with the music already available in their catalogue. They were responsive over email and super professional, and helped us out with suggestions (number of songs for cocktail hour, what songs to play before the ceremony, etc.).
On the day of the wedding, they sounded great! They started each new song at the exact right time for the different parts of our ceremony. I only wish I could have heard more of them (but alas, as the bride, I couldn’t sit on the porch and listen while guests were arriving). I would absolutely recommend them!

Jennifer and her family are outstanding!
They’re a family of four. Very professional, punctual, easy to work with, and played beautifully! We highly recommend this group for any holiday or special occasion. By the end of their set we were all moved to tears and full of gratitude on what we had just witnessed. Most of our family is musically talented so to see tears rolling down their face speaks volumes on how great this quartet is.

Terra Vista Strings provided beautifully elegant music at our wedding ceremony. They set up and performed in a seamless manner that added the perfect music for our day. Terra Vista Strings provided a string quartet to play the prelude, ceremony, and cocktail music at our wedding, and we loved working with them. They have an extensive catalog of traditional and contemporary music, including 90s and 2000s hits that they played for us during our cocktail hour - hearing them play "Gangsta's Paradise" while we were doing our rounds is a hilarious and treasured memory of our day.
They were prompt with their responses to our inquiries, and Karen was so sweet and helpful when working with us to make our music selections. Our guests were so impressed with TVS, and we highly recommend working with them!

We hired Terra Vista Strings to play for our ceremony, reception, and part-way through dinner. We absolutely love strings music, as did many of our guests, and we knew we were asking for an exception to play for so long, but Terra Vista Strings helped us make this happen! They were very responsive to all our inquiries and absolutely did their best to fulfill all our requests, even when they were a bit unusual. Their music selection is quite large, and we loved that there were popular classical as well as contemporary music selections available. It was very easy to pick songs we wanted for our ceremony (we were provided an example list and we just went through the songs on our own), and we just wanted any kind of contemporary music from their list played for the reception and dinner – which they did beautifully! We highly recommend Terra Vista Strings if you want strings music at your wedding/event!!

We had a wonderful experience with Terra Vista Strings. They provided an extraordinarily talented string quartet for our wedding ceremony and the guest arrival leading up to it, and they really set the tone for the event. For a very reasonable fee, they purchased sheet music that wasn't in their repertoire, and also WROTE sheet music that they couldn't find to make sure that every song we wanted could be included. Our day would not have been the same without their music. We highly recommend them!

My husband was really excited to have a string quartet for our wedding. He definitely had it right for wanting to book them! I was so happy with the music during our wedding. We had them play “canon in D” when I walked down that aisle and it was perfect! During our cocktail hour we were talking pictures nearby so I could hear the music they played and it was so great! We booked a string quartet for our wedding, even had two custom arrangements. I’m a musician and educator so a majority of my friends are musicians and they couldn’t stop talking about to great the quartet was!

We went with a string trio for our ceremony music and Terra Vista was the best choice we could have made.
They played beautifully, but also accommodated our requests for more 'off the beaten path' music like Zelda, Final fantasy, LOTR, etc. Whatever you can dream of, they can play it.
While our guests were being seated, they offered to just "play to the crowd" with string renditions of contemporary and film music. They did an amazing job, and several of our guests excitedly came to us to say they'd heard a string version of a beloved song.
Terra Vista was also great value for money, and I would highly recommend to anyone as well as book again for any future events.

We are so glad we hired Terra Vista Strings for our wedding! We had planned a 150-person wedding for May of 2020, and had to postpone and downsize to a 20-person wedding in October 2020. Anthony and Yi Ching were both so gracious and flexible when we had to postpone, and made it one less thing we had to worry about. Anthony was very helpful during our music consultation, giving great recommendations about what would work for each part of the ceremony. He listened to what we liked and incorporated it all seamlessly. The music was beautiful, and made our ceremony feel so special. We came across Terra Vista Strings as an option to perform at our wedding less than two months before our wedding. We were very happy with the music selection that was available and were delighted when they were still available for our date. We hired a string trio to perform at our ceremony and cocktail hour. They also provided the accompaniment to perform to Make You Feel My Love with a soloist (my dad) during the wedding ceremony. I didn't realize how much I wanted string music until listening to Terra Vista Strings!
Terra Vista strings is clearly immensely talented -- it's clear to see that from their website and listening to their music. I didn't even realize I truly wanted strings for my wedding ceremony until I listened to their music online and absolutely fell in love and knew it would make my wedding day perfect. Plus, their breadth of music is truly amazing -- we had trouble choosing what we wanted for our event because so all of the songs were so good!
We unfortunately had to cancel our wedding due to Coronavirus / COVID-19 mandatory closures, and Terra Vista Strings was so easy to work with, even though we didn't want to reschedule our wedding right away (which not all vendors were willing to work with us). Anthony is so talented and we were so excited to have him at our wedding! Makes your wedding feel magical
Terra Vista was so easy to work with. They already had an extensive list of suggestions, but were open to playing whatever it is we could come up with.
I really believe the string trio we hired had such an enchanting quality about them. From the first note I heard, I found myself wishing to just be by them and watch them as if I were at a concert, but I was to be getting married so I mostly spent my time nervously pacing. I know all my guests loved them, people have not stopped raving about them and it's been almost a week. They were tremendously professional.
On a more personal note, I was planning on singing a song I wrote for my wife during our vows, and wanted to surprise her with that. The cellist was kind enough to let me hide my acoustic guitar in the cello case, so my guitar would not be knocked over the chair I had it on by wind. It was a small bit of kindness, but it really went a long way, and it's something I will never forget.

perfect addition to our perfect day.
Working with Terra Vista Strings was so easy, communication was clear & quick, they were all professional & more than willing to learn any new songs that we wanted played during our ceremony. We went with a more non-traditional route and they were willing to work with us, making accommodations up to the last minute.
My only regret was that they mostly played before the ceremony, so I didn’t get to hear any of it! And I was so overwhelmed with joy walking down the aisle that I don’t remember anything after the doors opened… but the feedback from our guests was amazing. It was the perfect addition to our perfect day.

Terra Vista was a joy to work with from day 1! Music is very important to me and I knew I wanted to hire the best for our wedding. Anthony worked with me on our playlist and was so patient when I wanted a specific section of Canon in D during my bridal processional. He also made great suggestions to the order of the songs to make them flow naturally. The musicians were so lovely and professional. They executed the ceremony music to perfection and there was no awkward silence or weird transitions. I highly recommend Terra Vista!!

Fancy start to a wedding
Anthony and his team are professionals and experts at what they do. They have a variety of music styles to offer and different instruments. For my wedding, I just hired a single violinist to play while guests were arriving and for us walking down the aisle (I had bagpipes play the recessional). She followed the planners cues and it was perfect. My guests felt fancy walking into the space, listening to a single violinist play beautiful music. It really sets the tone for your ceremony!

Anthony was a dream to work with! Detailed in everyday. Months of coordination of music paid off. The ceremony duo of the violin and cello was perfection-- so many comments from the guests. Amazing Musicians
Amazing musicians! From the start, they were very professional and were open to every song we wanted played. We had their string trio play at our ceremony and it took it to another level. They played beautifully. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting them all night! We would highly recommend anyone getting married in the San Antonio-Austin area to hire them!

The strings band UGHHH. I wish I could have partied with everyone at the cocktail hour because what I heard was that they were ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! A friend told me it was like the *explicit* Catalina Wine Mixer (thanks Step Brothers). The ceremony was so romantic and intimate and all because of the strings band!!! 10 out of 10 I would recommend them! They added a hint of class & beautiful sound to our perfect day. & SO SO easy to work with!!!

Perfect for ceremony and cocktail hour music!
We hired a string quartet from Terra Vista Strings to play at our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour in Austin earlier this month. Anthony was very responsive to all of our emails and even set up a phone consultation with us to help figure out what type of music to use for the ceremony. My husband and I had a lot of back-and-forth on what we wanted to use for our first dance song (which TVS played live at the end of our cocktail hour), and Anthony was super accommodating of our requests about whether they could play various songs, sending sample recordings, etc. The music on the day of was completely perfect - TVS plaid a great mix of class and contemporary pieces that set a wonderful tone for our wedding night from the time the guests arrived through the end of cocktail hour. They were extremely talented and professional, and our guests loved them!

Terra Vista Strings was the perfect choice for our wedding. The music was absolutely beautiful and they had such a wide range of songs to choose from (contemporary to classic), including the option to pay a little extra and have them learn a new song if you really have something special and unique in mind. They were so easy to work with and communication was a breeze. Hearing their music playing before my ceremony really got me excited and helped to calm my nerves, and then walking down the aisle to just the song that I was looking for really helped cement the moment for me. It was such a beautiful ceremony because of them and I am so glad that we got to work with them! Anthony was so professional and kind when helping to choose and coordinate the music and select the size of the ensemble that would best suit our space.

I reached out to Terra Vista to play our ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding and was contacted by Anthony Chen. He was so professional, helpful and knowledgeable. It made all our decision making so EASY! He was great with helping us plan out how many songs to choose and getting the vibe of our wedding and music tastes to help us fill our song list a little more if needed. They also have a wide variety of song choices for traditional and modern music to choose from.
The music sounded great and it really kept the people entertained trying to figure out what songs they were.(We threw in a lot of random ones to keep everyone on their toes!)

From the minute we reached out to them, everyone I spoke to at Terra Vista was incredibly friendly and professional. I mostly went through Anthony who is an absolute professional-- he is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and quick to reply. I changed my mind about 50 times throughout the planning process (which was pretty short because I waited til last minute- oops!) and Anthony was always really patience and ready to change the plans with me!
TVS played for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and short dinner reception and it was amazing! Our guests loved all of their music and thought it was perfect! If you're considering TVS, just go for it! You won't regret it :)

We were recommended to Terra Vista Strings by our venue, the Hummingbird House, and after our first call with Anthony we knew we had made a great choice! We had the string quartet play our pre-ceremony and ceremony music, and all of the musicians were amazing! I wish I could have heard more of the pre-ceremony music since I was in the bridal suite before wedding time!! I had a very intimate wedding at Chapel Dulcinea and the violinist was the perfect touch. It happened to be freezing cold on the day that I got married outside, but the music was beautiful and he played through the cold! I also didn't request a ton of specific music, but the 3 songs I really wanted incorporated, I definitely heard!

Terra Vista Strings added that truly special touch to my wedding that provided elegance, uniqueness, magical memories and that "added something special" that everyone at my wedding will remember. We did not have a very big budget for our wedding but having this addition was something I can't imagine doing without. We reserved them for 80 minutes to play a four string quartet while guests were arriving and being seated, our wedding music throughout the ceremony and afterwards, and I couldn't believe it when I asked if they could perform our first dance song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Iz, and they have a rendition of it! What a special first dance, to have something so unique and perfectly crafted for me and my husband. Their music was flawless and I can't fully describe the sense of peace, beauty, soft tranquility, and mastery of their performance. They worked with me to craft my wedding music from start to finish. It was the most beautiful music I've ever heard. I highly recommend them for your wedding or any special event!

We wanted to add a touch of class to our wedding and we reached out to TVS. They were super-responsive and reasonably priced. We ended up using the string quartet (with trumpet) for our ceremony and TVS was very helpful when it came to picking out the appropriate music for each section of our ceremony. They even did a custom composition of my fiancee's favorite song, Sugar Magnolia, which we used as our exit song. We also had them play throughout our cocktail hour, post ceremony. We chose a bunch of contemporary songs from their extensive list. They were a huge hit. Many of our guests commented on how cool it was to hear modern songs coming from such classical instruments. My favorite was Game of Thrones. We could not be happier with our TVS experience and I highly recommend them for any event where you need some classy music and perhaps a bit of a twist thrown in. -m

They sounded more amazing live than I could have imagined and added the perfect touch to the wedding. They gave me chills as I listened to them play while walking down the aisle. Terra Vista Strings made our cocktail hour absolutely magical! We had them play contemporary music and all of our guests just loved them (I even had a few ask for the contact info!) The musicians looked formal and professional, and fit in perfectly at the museum where the wedding was located.
Anthony was incredibly responsive, organized, and super professional. He made song reccomendations that exactly fit the ambiance we wanted.
I would highly, highly reccomend Terra Vista Strings to any bride- they certainly made my day sound gorgeous!

We had a solo violinist from Terra Vista Strings play at our wedding and we could not be more happy. Terra Vista Strings performed at St Mary Cathedral 2 weeks ago for my daughter's wedding. They took extra time to plan, practice with the organist, and soprano so that every thing would be perfect and it was. The ceremony music brought tears to your eyes. Anthony was incredible to work with. I would never use any other strings but Terra Vista. They were recommended/preferred by the Cathedral, where all the musicians there are professional so they knew their stuff!

We hired Terra Vista Strings for the ceremony and cocktail hour music and they did a phenomenal job. They learned all of the nontraditional songs I wanted played at the ceremony and it sounded so incredibly lovely! We decided to hire a trio for our ceremony because it would be something different from a lot of weddings. My mom and I worked with Anthony on the music playlist to come up with selections that were different and not overplayed (no Canon in D). When we hired them there was a special that included our cocktail hour so they played through that as well. I think my husband was impressed when we heard "Smooth Criminal" coming from the trio. We'd already hired them but that was the icing on the musical cake for us.

We had a less traditional style wedding and reception on a rooftop and wanted contemporary music during the ceremony and cocktail hour. They listened to what we wanted and the music was perfect. Our guests loved the quartet and so did we. I highly recommend them for any wedding or celebration.

Anthony from Terra Vista strings was so helpful in helping set up a chance to see him before we booked. He went out of his way to meet us at the performance and played us some song requests too. He offered us a great price on a string trio with a promotion they had going on and after hearing Anthony on the violin, we were convinced we needed to book with them, he played the most beautiful music. He met with us again a couple of months before the wedding to go over our ceremony music selection, and made some great recommendations to help us decide between the songs we were going back and forth over. They have a huge selection of modern music which we thought was really fun for our cocktail hour. We were really glad we booked them!

I really can't score Terra Vista Strings high enough! Anthony & his team deserve more than 5 stars! Since we opted for a very intimate wedding of 35 guests, we didn't hire a full band or DJ-- only the string quartet. Anthony worked with us on creating an interesting playlist that surprised and delighted our guests! We still have friends talking about it!!

My husband and I did the whole wedding thing on our own, we got overwhelmed very easily when decisions needed to be made. Anthony and the whole TVS group made our planning and our wedding day so easy and special. He responded to every question, even helped me get the exact song I wanted to walk down the aisle to, and when our iPod stopped working they jumped back in and helped out until we fixed it. They were amazing and we are still hearing compliments on how refreshingly different and beautiful the music was.

We had a string quartet during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour following the ceremony, and Terra Vista Strings did a phenomenal job! They were very professional and talented and worked wonderfully with our timeline and requests. They had a long list of music they could play, but we also had some specific song requests that weren't on their lists, and they were so accommodating and willing to learn those songs and played them perfectly! They helped make our day so special, and many of the guests also commented on what a beautiful and special touch it was to have a live string quartet.

Terra Vista was highly recommended by our coordinator and it was easy to see why. Anthony was responsive, professional, and highly knowledgeable about music. Their website and materials make it easy to choose a personalized program and Anthony was there to answer any questions and give advice when we were uncertain. They transitioned smoothly from a more classical ceremony to a contemporary upbeat vibe for the cocktail hour – they even have some string versions of hip-hop songs! With added instruments, a flute and trumpet, two vocalists , a special hymn, and lots of special requests, Anthony was absolutely amazing! He made sure all the details, crescendos and tempos were exactly the way the bride and groom requested. What a great addition to our wedding! We had Terra Vista play a trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Originally wanted a duet but more songs were available as a trio so we went with that. Was nervous it was going to sound too "symphony-ish" but it didn't. It was perfect and added just the right touch to the wedding. Got so many compliments on the music and still remember how perfect all the ceremony and cocktail music sounded. My most vivid wedding memory is being outside right after the ceremony, the sun setting, seeing my friends and family laughing and talking with a drink in hand, and hearing Terra Vista. Unforgettable.

These guys were the talk of the wedding. Very professional and outstanding play lists. The songs were crowd pleasers but not over shadowing in the ceremony. I hope I can find an excuse to use them again that doesn't involve getting married again.

We hired a male vocalist, a pianist and a violinist for the music in our Church for our wedding on December 10, 2016 and Anthony and his team were amazing!! The music was perfect and everyone told me how beautiful it was. We had a complete Catholic Ceremony and had singing for every part of the church and Anthony and his team did an awesome job. Anthony was great to work with, super responsive and patient and just overall great! I would definitely hire them to play music for your wedding!!! I wish I would have recorded the music at the Church because it was sooo good!!!

Absolutely one of the best things we booked for our daughters wedding. Anthony was more then willing to travel to San Antonio and meet with us to choose songs and put the play list together. We booked a quartet and the day of the ceremony they were amazing. The were on time, professional, professionally dressed, and did an amazing job. They played prior to ceremony, ceremony music, and then moved to the reception site and played cocktail hour and through the first dance. I have used Terra Vista Strings for ceremony music for both of my daughters' weddings in less then 2 years. Anthony is fabulous to work with and his musicians are very professional. The first wedding in July 2015 was running late but the musicians continued to play and the guests raved about how great they were. Booking Terra Vista Strings for our ceremony music was an excellent decision. Working with Anthony was awesome. He answered all of our questions, emails, and phone calls. A few weeks before our wedding, Anthony scheduled a Skype phone call to discuss our selections and meet face-to-face. This was incredibly helpful as both my groom and I live in Washington, DC and were unable to meet in person. We had a full catholic mass wedding and Terra Vista provided beautiful music that flowed perfectly with all of the events taking place on the altar. I loved that they offered traditional music along with top hits which we combined throughout the ceremony. The unfortunate thing about being the bride is you do all the planning and I didn't get to hear much of their performance because I was in my bridal suite! From what I did hear walking down the aisle and from my wedding video the musicians were fantastic! Ever since I was a little girl I've wanted a string quartet at my wedding. I think it's so classy and beautiful and they definitely lived up to my high expectations. Thank you guys so much for being a special part of our wedding!

Terra Vista Strings was wonderful to work with for my daughter's wedding. The music played during the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour was beautiful. We had so many compliments! Anthony was professional and eager to make everything just perfect for our special day.
