Everyone complemented the string trio we decided on for our ceremony we had at the Catholic Church. It was a really nice extra, which we didn't have too many of those, that we were so happy we went with. They were familiar with the Catholic Wedding Mass too, which was a relief to me. Anthony and his team were great to work with and were such a big help planning for our wedding. They sound absolutely amazing!

Anthony and his team did a phenomenal job with my ceremony and cocktail reception music. I hired them (as a quartet) to play before and during the ceremony as well as during the outdoor cocktail reception before dinner and dancing. My mother and I corresponded with Anthony by email and also met in person. He was very knowledgeable and helped us select the perfect pieces for the each aspect of the ceremony and I gave him full discretion on the reception (which people still rave about - they do wonderful compilations of current music as well)! Further, one of my bridesmaids was a vocalist in the wedding (having majored in music in college) and TVS worked with her directly to arrange the piece and have it ready to go by the wedding day. I just can't say enough. Thank you so much for making my wedding day so incredibly special!!

Terra Vista Strings coordinated with our DJ, Texas Pro DJ, and together they provided some of the best entertainment of the night! From the minute we reached out to them, everyone I spoke to at Terra Vista was incredibly friendly and professional. I mostly went through Anthony who is an absolute professional-- he is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and quick to reply. I changed my mind about 50 times throughout the planning process (which was pretty short because I waited til last minute- oops!) and Anthony was always really patience and ready to change the plans with me!
TVS played for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and short dinner reception and it was amazing! Our guests loved all of their music and thought it was perfect! If you're considering TVS, just go for it! You won't regret it :)

So beautiful and romantic... We had them play during the cocktail hour and dinner of our wedding reception and received so many compliments for our guests! Anthony is very professional and easy to work with! We hired Terra Vista Strings to play for our ceremony, reception, and part-way through dinner. We absolutely love strings music, as did many of our guests, and we knew we were asking for an exception to play for so long, but Terra Vista Strings helped us make this happen! They were very responsive to all our inquiries and absolutely did their best to fulfill all our requests, even when they were a bit unusual. Their music selection is quite large, and we loved that there were popular classical as well as contemporary music selections available. It was very easy to pick songs we wanted for our ceremony (we were provided an example list and we just went through the songs on our own), and we just wanted any kind of contemporary music from their list played for the reception and dinner – which they did beautifully! We highly recommend Terra Vista Strings if you want strings music at your wedding/event!!

The strings band UGHHH. I wish I could have partied with everyone at the cocktail hour because what I heard was that they were ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! A friend told me it was like the *explicit* Catalina Wine Mixer (thanks Step Brothers). The ceremony was so romantic and intimate and all because of the strings band!!! 10 out of 10 I would recommend them! They added a hint of class & beautiful sound to our perfect day. & SO SO easy to work with!!!

I hired Terra Vista Strings for my wedding and couldn't have been happier! Anthony was extremely professional and easy to work with. He got back to me right away with any questions and made himself available around my busy work schedule. I loved that they offered traditional music along with top hits which we combined throughout the ceremony. The unfortunate thing about being the bride is you do all the planning and I didn't get to hear much of their performance because I was in my bridal suite! From what I did hear walking down the aisle and from my wedding video the musicians were fantastic! Ever since I was a little girl I've wanted a string quartet at my wedding. We hired a male vocalist, a pianist and a violinist for the music in our Church for our wedding on December 10, 2016 and Anthony and his team were amazing!! The music was perfect and everyone told me how beautiful it was. We had a complete Catholic Ceremony and had singing for every part of the church and Anthony and his team did an awesome job. Anthony was great to work with, super responsive and patient and just overall great! I would definitely hire them to play music for your wedding!!! I wish I would have recorded the music at the Church because it was sooo good!!!

The live music for our ceremony was so beautiful and the cocktail hour songs were so fun and the guests loved it! Leading up to the wedding TVS were great communicators and offering advice on song selections. Their website has many songs you can listen to and the song list options are incredible! My finance and I had a hard time narrowing down our favorites. We decided later about having live music for our ceremony/cocktail hour and TVS did not disappoint!!! If you are on the fence book them now! Such a nice touch and absolutely beautiful music. Thank you TVS!!!

My husband and I did the whole wedding thing on our own, we got overwhelmed very easily when decisions needed to be made. Anthony and the whole TVS group made our planning and our wedding day so easy and special. He responded to every question, even helped me get the exact song I wanted to walk down the aisle to, and when our iPod stopped working they jumped back in and helped out until we fixed it. They were amazing and we are still hearing compliments on how refreshingly different and beautiful the music was.

My husband and I booked a string trio through Terra Vista Strings for our May wedding. We worked with Anthony Chen, the owner of the company. He worked with us for a few months prior to our wedding to help us decide on our song choices. Terra Vista Strings has such a large selection of music to choose from. You can request anything from Beethoven to Willie Nelson to Michael Jackson. It was really hard for us to choose. We had so many songs we wanted played and Anthony found a way to fit all of our choices into our ceremony.
Terra Vista Strings stands out for many reasons. They have great prices. They are very punctual and always respond within 24 hours. And their music... I can't say enough about how beautifully Anthony and the other musicians played at our wedding.
Other than the music, what I love most about Terra Vista Strings is that they make it so easy for the bride to focus on the most important thing, her wedding. The music was taken care of so far in advance that I didn't even have to think about it again until I heard it on my wedding day. If I ever plan another event where I need musicians to play, I will absolutely return to Terra Vista Strings!

We had a Terra Vista Strings string duo play at our wedding at Chapel Dulcinea. The bus was late dropping off half the guests, so there was more focus on their pre-wedding performance than we had planned. They rose to the occasion and I got great feedback from guests. Terra Vista Strings added that truly special touch to my wedding that provided elegance, uniqueness, magical memories and that "added something special" that everyone at my wedding will remember. We did not have a very big budget for our wedding but having this addition was something I can't imagine doing without. We reserved them for 80 minutes to play a four string quartet while guests were arriving and being seated, our wedding music throughout the ceremony and afterwards, and I couldn't believe it when I asked if they could perform our first dance song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Iz, and they have a rendition of it! What a special first dance, to have something so unique and perfectly crafted for me and my husband. Their music was flawless and I can't fully describe the sense of peace, beauty, soft tranquility, and mastery of their performance. They worked with me to craft my wedding music from start to finish. It was the most beautiful music I've ever heard. I highly recommend them for your wedding or any special event!

We met with Anthony about 6 months before the wedding, and couldn't say no. We went with the String Trio, and requested 2 songs for the ceremony: Portuguese Love Theme (from Love Actually) and Married Life (from Up). They absolutely nailed both songs perfectly and beautifully.
They played our cocktail hour too and were magnificent with each arrangement they put out for us.
Anthony also met with us a few days before and supplied MIDI files of the arrangements for the processional and recessional requests so that we'd have an idea of what they would sound like, and to use for the rehearsal.
They are amazingly talented!

I worked with Terra Vista Strings to provide music for my wedding for an outdoor ceremony on a ranch in April 2014. I was extremely pleased with everything they did, from the planning to the performance on the day of the wedding. They employ wonderful musicians and can basically play ANYTHING, even special requests and all kinds of classical and contemporary music! Just ask! Anthony, the owner, was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He is very attentive and was helpful in terms of choosing music pieces and advising about the ceremony. I planned everything long distance and he was very easy to correspond with via email and phone. They are also very flexible and willing to work with you on anything! Their rates are also extremely affordable and their talent is superb. It was exactly what I wanted for my ceremony music and I am so happy to have had them as a part of my wedding! I would definitely recommend them and would hire them again!

Amazing musicians! From the start, they were very professional and were open to every song we wanted played. We had their string trio play at our ceremony and it took it to another level. They played beautifully. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting them all night! We would highly recommend anyone getting married in the San Antonio-Austin area to hire them!

My husband, Brian, and I got married on March 22nd at Kindred Oaks in Georgetown, Texas. I am an opera singer, so I had a long list of music that I wanted included in my wedding ceremony. I went to college with the owner, Anthony Chen, and I knew many of the players also played with Austin Lyric Opera and Austin Symphony Orchestra. Anthony is so nice and easy to work with. He had great suggestions for the parts of the ceremony I hadn’t thought of and he even arranged a few songs specifically to be played with singers. They played leading up to the ceremony, during the ceremony, and into cocktail hour. I got so many comments on all the beautiful music and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Anthony also has a list of many “non-traditional” songs that he has arranged for his quartet, many of them are fun and lighthearted. If you want an awesome string quartet for your wedding, Terra Vista is definitely one of the best around the Austin/San Antonio area!

Perfect for ceremony and cocktail hour music!
We hired a string quartet from Terra Vista Strings to play at our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour in Austin earlier this month. Anthony was very responsive to all of our emails and even set up a phone consultation with us to help figure out what type of music to use for the ceremony. My husband and I had a lot of back-and-forth on what we wanted to use for our first dance song (which TVS played live at the end of our cocktail hour), and Anthony was super accommodating of our requests about whether they could play various songs, sending sample recordings, etc. The music on the day of was completely perfect - TVS plaid a great mix of class and contemporary pieces that set a wonderful tone for our wedding night from the time the guests arrived through the end of cocktail hour. They were extremely talented and professional, and our guests loved them!

Booking Terra Vista Strings for our ceremony music was an excellent decision. Working with Anthony was awesome. He answered all of our questions, emails, and phone calls. A few weeks before our wedding, Anthony scheduled a Skype phone call to discuss our selections and meet face-to-face. This was incredibly helpful as both my groom and I live in Washington, DC and were unable to meet in person. We had a full catholic mass wedding and Terra Vista provided beautiful music that flowed perfectly with all of the events taking place on the altar. Absolutely one of the best things we booked for our daughters wedding. Anthony was more then willing to travel to San Antonio and meet with us to choose songs and put the play list together. We booked a quartet and the day of the ceremony they were amazing. The were on time, professional, professionally dressed, and did an amazing job. They played prior to ceremony, ceremony music, and then moved to the reception site and played cocktail hour and through the first dance. I really can't score Terra Vista Strings high enough! Anthony & his team deserve more than 5 stars! Since we opted for a very intimate wedding of 35 guests, we didn't hire a full band or DJ-- only the string quartet. I have nothing but positive things to say about Terra Vista. They played all of my (non-traditional) song requests, Anthony put together a beautiful arrangement of Eight Days a Week for our recessional, and he was very accommodating at letting my cousin, who is a professional musician, play with the duo we hired. The music was gorgeous and the service was exceptional! I was kind of late in the process in hiring them, but I felt that I was prioritized and that they really did everything to make my wedding music perfect. I highly recommend them, especially since most of the musicians also play with the Austin Symphony!

We decided to hire a trio for our ceremony because it would be something different from a lot of weddings. My mom and I worked with Anthony on the music playlist to come up with selections that were different and not overplayed (no Canon in D). When we hired them there was a special that included our cocktail hour so they played through that as well. I think my husband was impressed when we heard "Smooth Criminal" coming from the trio. We'd already hired them but that was the icing on the musical cake for us.

Anthony was incredibly responsive, organized, and super professional. He made song reccomendations that exactly fit the ambiance we wanted.

We wanted to add a touch of class to our wedding and we reached out to TVS. They were super-responsive and reasonably priced. We ended up using the string quartet (with trumpet) for our ceremony and TVS was very helpful when it came to picking out the appropriate music for each section of our ceremony. They even did a custom composition of my fiancee's favorite song, Sugar Magnolia, which we used as our exit song. We also had them play throughout our cocktail hour, post ceremony. We chose a bunch of contemporary songs from their extensive list. They were a huge hit. Many of our guests commented on how cool it was to hear modern songs coming from such classical instruments. My favorite was Game of Thrones. We could not be happier with our TVS experience and I highly recommend them for any event where you need some classy music and perhaps a bit of a twist thrown in. -m

Beautiful, Contemporary Ceremony Music
We had a wonderful experience with Terra Vista Strings. They provided an extraordinarily talented string quartet for our wedding ceremony and the guest arrival leading up to it, and they really set the tone for the event. For a very reasonable fee, they purchased sheet music that wasn't in their repertoire, and also WROTE sheet music that they couldn't find to make sure that every song we wanted could be included. Our day would not have been the same without their music. We highly recommend them!

We selected Terra Vista Strings for our wedding and we could not have been happier! We selected the string quartet option, and we had Anthony and his team play some classical selections during the ceremony and some modern selections during the cocktail hour. They even learned some new songs for us! All of their music was awesome and we're so happy that we chose them! They're easy to work with as well and we highly recommend them!

Beautiful sound and great selection of songs!
Terra Vista Strings was great!! They were so easy to work with , and made picking the songs for our ceremony and cocktail hour so easy when we weren't sure what we wanted them to play. They made a sample list of popular songs for us, which was so helpful. They sounded beautiful and were exactly what we had envisioned.

Anthony and his team helped make our ceremony so special. We originally were looking to have UT musicians play but they cancelled/decided they weren't available and so we had to find new musicians within 2 weeks of our wedding. I did quick research and found Anthony and he was so nice and accommodating in such a small amount of time to prepare. He called and we worked out all the details quickly and seamlessly. And even when it rained on the wedding day, they didn't skip a beat and were very flexible to move onto the covered porch. They had all the music my husband and I wanted played and they sounded amazing. I very much appreciate the great service and being apart of our wedding.

Great experience working with Terra Vista Strings. They made our ceremony and cocktail hour very special. I worked with them to develop the specific songs for the ceremony, and then they were able to take it from there for the rest of their time. We got several comments on how beautiful the ceremony was and the strings were a huge part of it. Very easy to work with throughout the process.

We were recommended to Terra Vista Strings by our venue, the Hummingbird House, and after our first call with Anthony we knew we had made a great choice! We had the string quartet play our pre-ceremony and ceremony music, and all of the musicians were amazing! Anthony made great suggestions based on our discussion for the types of songs that we wanted to play, and everyone really enjoyed the music. I wish I could have heard more of the pre-ceremony music since I was in the bridal suite before wedding time!! Terra Vista made our ceremony very special and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Austin area. Thanks again!

Terra Vista Strings provided the string trio for my wedding. The music was beautiful at my wedding ceremony. I was more than satisfied with the sound of the music, the way the musicians looked and dressed. It was perfect. The owner, Anthony Chen, was great to work with. He made sure everything was taken care of and answered all the questions that I had and was so flexible (which is so important when the bride has a million things on her mind). Best decision!
My husband was really excited to have a string quartet for our wedding. He definitely had it right for wanting to book them! I was so happy with the music during our wedding. We had them play “canon in D” when I walked down that aisle and it was perfect! During our cocktail hour we were talking pictures nearby so I could hear the music they played and it was so great! We got many compliments and I definitely would book again.

Absolutely beautiful music!
We booked a string quartet for our wedding, even had two custom arrangements. I’m a musician and educator so a majority of my friends are musicians and they couldn’t stop talking about to great the quartet was!
The atmosphere they helped create for before the ceremony and during cocktail hour made our night even more magical. They played a lot of great contemporary arrangements that even had some people dancing during cocktail hour. I am so glad we booked them for our wedding!

Terra Vista Strings was listed as a preferred vendor for our wedding venue. So, of course we looked them up, did some research, and made an appointment to speak with Anthony about what we were looking for on our special day. Once we spoke to Anthony, his passion, knowledge and genuine personality really shined through. After speaking to him, we knew we wanted to contract them for our big day. We opted for a string duo as our ceremony was in a relatively intimate setting with less than 90 guests. As our date got closer, Anthony was SO extremely helpful in helping us put together a wonderful contemporary program that reflected our personalities and love for each other. They executed the program flawlessly. They were perfect and professional and really added that extra bit of elegance that we were looking for. Our ceremony couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you so much Anthony for all of your help in making our wedding the best day of our lives! We highly recommend Terra Vista Strings to anyone looking for an elegant and fun touch to their wedding day at any budget :)

I thought they did a great job. As I would expect, they were coordinated and it seemed like they worked well with the wedding planner to correctly hit the necessary queues. The music was perfect, and I had a few people say they enjoyed it as well.

Working with Anthony from Terra Vista Strings was great! He was extremely professional and so patient with us. Anthony always let us know when an open house was coming up so we could go by and listen to music and he was so helpful when it came time to select our ceremony music. Wonderful musicians! Booked Terra Vista Strings for our ceremony (classical music) and cocktail hour (modern music). I unfortunately didn't get a chance to meet our day-of musicians personally, but Anthony Chen met us in person months before our wedding to discuss the music selections for the processional/recessional/etc. We were unsure what we wanted and Anthony took the time to get a feel for the style we wanted and then played several options on his iPad for us so that we could hear. He helped us narrow down our selections and emailed us the parred down list afterwards so that we could listen again at our leisure and make our decisions. Terra Vista Strings is very accommodating!

Terra Vista Strings is the best!! We feel so lucky we had the opportunity to work with Anthony and his team. We wanted to play all contemporary music during our ceremony in January, and Anthony made the song selection process so easy and fun. I'm only sad that I wasn't able to listen to them the whole time- but we know our guests loved every minute! Would absolutely recommend.

I received many compliments from guests on the music Terra Vista Strings provided for my ceremony. The string duo sounded beautiful. Anthony was wonderful to work with. He met with me to discuss music selections, since I was looking for some nontraditional alternatives for my processional and recessional. Terra Vista was a joy to work with from day 1! Music is very important to me and I knew I wanted to hire the best for our wedding. Anthony worked with me on our playlist and was so patient when I wanted a specific section of Canon in D during my bridal processional. He also made great suggestions to the order of the songs to make them flow naturally. The musicians were so lovely and professional. They executed the ceremony music to perfection and there was no awkward silence or weird transitions. I highly recommend Terra Vista!!

These guys were awesome! They were extremely professional, and they were so easy to work with! My wedding was not in Austin, and they still came to my location, which was also outdoors. They have a great selection of music to choose from, and you can pick how many musicians you want based on price. This was great for me since I was on a budget. They were also extremely low maintenance (they set up, performed, everything without me having to give directions the day of), and that was fabulous since I was extrememly busy that day. They are fantastic! Get them for your wedding!

These guys were the talk of the wedding. Very professional and outstanding play lists. The songs were crowd pleasers but not over shadowing in the ceremony. I hope I can find an excuse to use them again that doesn't involve getting married again.

Working with Anthony from Terra Vista Strings was great. He was super helpful and helped me pick my music and gave suggestions. We had a less traditional style wedding and reception on a rooftop and wanted contemporary music during the ceremony and cocktail hour. They listened to what we wanted and the music was perfect. Our guests loved the quartet and so did we. I highly recommend them for any wedding or celebration.

I had a very intimate wedding at Chapel Dulcinea and the violinist was the perfect touch. It happened to be freezing cold on the day that I got married outside, but the music was beautiful and he played through the cold! I also didn't request a ton of specific music, but the 3 songs I really wanted incorporated, I definitely heard!

I cannot stop thinking about how amazing my wedding music was because of Terra Vista Strings! My husband and I are both musicians so we have a whole lot of musicians, producers and label owners as our wedding guests and the string quartet blew them all away. I won't be surprised if they get signed by some if not all of our friends! From the get-go, Anthony was just so helpful and very responsive to my emails and requests. The ceremony was flawless, they did my cocktail hour too and my reception and I would do it all over again just to hear them play! During the reception, I had to stop dinner and watch and listen to them, mind blowing!

Makes your wedding feel magical
Terra Vista was so easy to work with. They already had an extensive list of suggestions, but were open to playing whatever it is we could come up with.
I really believe the string trio we hired had such an enchanting quality about them. From the first note I heard, I found myself wishing to just be by them and watch them as if I were at a concert, but I was to be getting married so I mostly spent my time nervously pacing. I know all my guests loved them, people have not stopped raving about them and it's been almost a week. They were tremendously professional.
On a more personal note, I was planning on singing a song I wrote for my wife during our vows, and wanted to surprise her with that. The cellist was kind enough to let me hide my acoustic guitar in the cello case, so my guitar would not be knocked over the chair I had it on by wind. It was a small bit of kindness, but it really went a long way, and it's something I will never forget.

For anyone on the fence about a wedding string trio/quartet, rest assured it is an AMAZING experience and adds some beautiful flair to both a pre-ceremony gathering and, of course, the wedding ceremony itself. Terravista is a perfect option for providing this service; they have an immense range of options across all genres, they are highly professional and worked well with other wedding staff, and they were personally very pleasant (and helpful!) in the lead-up to our ceremony. Anthony is so attentive, responsive and just a genuine person. He really made us feel comfortable and excited. We went into our first meeting without a clear vision and we left without any worries. Our guests gushed about the strings; it really made our ceremony special. There's no substitute for live strings as you and those that you love walk down the aisle. Exceptional sound.
