  Terra is amazing!

  We loved working with Terra for our wedding in Oregon. She (and her assistant Leah) were so much fun to work with and really put us at ease as people who don't necessarily love taking photos. Not only were the photos all incredibly beautiful, she captured some wonderful intimate moments that are so special. Terra is also really communicative and adaptable to your preferences, and really just a lovely human. I would recommend her to anyone looking to hire a wedding photographer!

  Terra was amazing in every way. Not only did she leave us with stunning photographs, she was also incredibly kind, professional, creative, and a pleasure to work with. We felt really comfortable around her during our wedding and would hire her a million times again. We also loved working with Leah, who Terra brought with her to our session. Both of them brought a positive energy to our day. So grateful Terra was available during our dates and was open to coming out to California.

  Let me start by saying, Hire Her! You will absolutely not regret it.
  
  At all the events Terra was simply phenomenal. We were really nervous about being followed by a camera but she (and Leah) made it so easy and seamless, we didn't even feel like we were being watched. A handful of our family and friends commented on the exact same thing. She was always present when we wanted a moment captured but completely in the background and not intrusive. She also took charge of so many situations, calmed me down, which I desperately needed, suggested shots but didn't push them (but did tell me why I may want to see in the future bringing me back to reality and making me realize.. yup, in fact I do). I can't put into words how thankful I personally was to have her there. She has such an ease and calm presence and WOOWWWWW is her eye amazing. The spots she scoped out were beautiful and the photos seemed to exactly capture us perfectly, not to mention make us look really really good. She was willing to roll with the punches when things weren't going to plan, timelines weren't being kept, and worked extra hours to make sure all of our moments were captured.
  
  The Photos:They are perfection. She manages to capture natural romance, moments of flirtation, happiness and pure joy without the images feeling fake, cheesy, or posed, which is exactly what we wanted. She really gets to know the essence of the couple and it shows through with each image. She does a wonderful job of scoping out the best places in each venue (spots we didn't even realize existed) and matches them with the perfect time of day to take each shot. They are simply stunning.
  
  I couldn't recommend her more.

  I found Terra while doing a google search for "Portland Wedding Photos" and just clicking on photos I liked. I fell in love with all the photos on Terra's website and never really looked at another photographer. She was the first vendor we hired and one of the best choices we made for our wedding.
  She did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. We planned an engagement shoot in Laurelhurst park in August and of course, Oregon being Oregon, it rained. No matter! Terra helped us run with the unexpected and our photos turned out better than I could have hoped.
  On our wedding day (also in August!) rain in the first half of the day threw off our timeline (as well as the fact that I didn't start getting ready on time) and Terra and her team were flexible, fun, and professional- going with the flow while also somehow keeping us on track. The photos capture our day perfectly- they are bright and authentic and I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at them. We are constantly getting compliments! I highly recommend Terra and her team.

As we met in planning sessions she asked a lot of questions that helped us realize what we wanted that day and what our priorities were: friends! family! us! trees! and river! Then the day of she had so many ideas for the best shots based on our input and her creative wiles that it allowed us to just sit back and relax as she led us from great shot to great shot. And she understood that we didn't want pictures to be the focus of the day and so she made each photo session the day of super efficient. I had to do all of my wedding planning out of town and meeting with Terra on Skype and through email was easy and I always felt confident in our communication and her abilities. Now we have a jumpdrive and a website with all the great shots and we can order photos at will.

  Terra Rothman and her team at Terra Rothman Photography were phenomenal and worth every penny! I cannot begin to express how happy I am with our wedding photos and our experience with Terra. I believe that her portfolio at www.terrarothman.com speaks for itself but I had to provide her a glowing review of her talent and services. People need to know how amazing she is! If you are drawn to documentary style photography, where the attention to detail is spectacular and you can relive the entire day through your photos then she is the photographer for you.
  
  From the start, Terra was professional, thorough and sincere. We knew we are in good hands. When you are planning a wedding, having complete confidence in a vendor is a rarity and a burden that is happily surrendered. Photography was a top priority for our wedding, after all, it is just one day and we wanted every special moment and nuance to be captured. She accomplished it. We also had a laundry list of specific shots we wanted and Terra succeeded in capturing every one of them and took our requests with an enthusiastic stride. Between our planning sessions and the day-of schedule she created we knew she was in tune to what we were looking for in our wedding images. On the day of the wedding, Terra and her second shooter, Maria, and assistant, Leah, were warm, easy going and inviting, getting even my shy groom to be comfortable taking photos. What I truly love is Terra’s ability to capture your essence as a couple. You aren’t posed or static, you are you! She captures life, precious moments from laughing with your dad to sharing an intimate gaze with your groom. I will treasure these images for a lifetime. Thank you Terra!
