    Covid wedding oct 2, 2020

Lauren was amazing when it came to filling in for Kim who had disappeared without notice after reopening in the summer/fall 2020. With her help and my mom putting together suggestions and ideas to helped tremendously. She worked hard to plan our wedding while making everything magical, keeping guests, staff, and the wedding party safe and working with and around the Covid guidelines. I was very pleased to meet both owners who were absolutely lovely and made a dark time into something beautiful and bright. It was truly a pleasure and I would recommend them over to anyone. The food was amazing as well!!!! Thank you so much all the staff and owners❣️

    Baby shower

Kim was so helpful and accommodating in planning and executing my best friend’s baby shower! She was easy to get in touch with and was very flexible, even with last minute changes. The space was great and the servers were super helpful!

Amazing service and even better food

We had our ceremony and reception onsite and everything was perfect from day one. Any and all questions I asked where immediately answered by Kim. Luckily we had the most perfect day and every detail that we spoke about was executed perfectly. I would highly recommend Teresas, I thought just a restaurant, but you get restaurant quality portions and food at your wedding! We also had our rehearsal dinner at PRIME and the service and food really started our weekend off perfectly. I recommend the filet and seafood stuffed haddock, both delicious. This place is a hidden GEM

    Fantastic Family Reunion May 2019

I highly recommend Teresa T's. I had a family reunion at the Tavern in May 2019. We rented the Tavern and had 80 people attend. There were outside tables as well. The tables were lined in linens and napkins. The food was amazing. Sharon who is the Senior Event Director was so professional and precise. Paige and Brett were also so attentive and caring. The pricing was extremely reasonable. Most importantly all of the guests loved the location, food and want to return for our next reunion. Thank you Sharon and staff for helping me create a lasting memory.

    Maureen & Lisa

My partner and I were hoping for a beach wedding/reception. When we realized that wasn’t going to happen we began looking at venues and none of them felt like us. We have always enjoyed Teresa’s Prime as a restaurant so we did some research and setup a meeting with Kim Bourque. We were nervous about how they would feel about a same sex wedding and she quieted our fears right away. From the first meeting to the end of our wedding Kim and her team were amazing. We actually booked that day. Right from the start Kim was so helpful and made this whole process simple for us. She was extremely helpful, attentive, answered any and all of our questions quickly and also super flexible. We couldn’t make a decision during our food tasting and she gave some great suggestions that made the meal even better. We cannot thank Kim enough for all she did. We were doing the ceremony onsite and that day we were watching the weather and had to move it inside and Kim and her team made it happen so seamlessly. All of the staff were super attentive to all of our guest. Oh and the food, OMG, everyone I mean everyone commented on how delicious the food was. It definitely wasn’t like typical wedding food, it was delicious. We highly, highly recommend Teresa’s Prime and Kim for your wedding. They truly were amazing.

My husband and I are extremely happy with our decision to have our wedding reception at Teresa's at Thompson Country Club. The food was amazing from start to finish. Everyone commented how good all the courses were and we were happy with the amount of servers in the room. All of the courses were smoothly executed. I also want to add that the Captain was amazing and very helpful. She was very kind and she made sure the head table was attended to.

The up lighting in the room was very beautiful. We’re thankful Teresa's was able to execute the set up from the tent to the ballroom for cocktail hour due to the weather. I can’t begin to tell you how lucky I feel that the rain stopped so we could take advantage of their beautiful outdoor areas. We’re also happy with how Teresa's had a lot of back up options had the weather decided not to be in our favor.

Dan and I want to thank Kim for everything she's done for us to make our wedding a success. She has such an amazing ability for detail and really knows her stuff! I’m happy to say when there was any issues or questions we could come to her for solutions. She has a great work ethic and is such a joy to work with. Everything at Teresa’s was perfect. We couldn’t be happier with the choice we made to have our reception here. I don’t think we would have had the same level of customer service from a different wedding coordinator or had food that was not only fresh but, made on site and delicious!

    Absolutely would NOT Recommend

I have gone back and forth about writing this review because our wedding was supposed to be one of the happiest and most important days of our lives. Unfortunately, our experience with Teresa’s Prime left us incredibly disappointed, upset, and frankly embarrassed.

The problems started at our rehearsal dinner.

We were placed in a private room that smelled strongly of raw sewage. It was not a faint or questionable smell; it was extremely noticeable and truthfully unbearable. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing for my husband and me, who were treating our families and wedding party to dinner, and our guests had to deal with this repulsive odor. The venue clearly knew there was an issue because there were air fresheners placed throughout the room, though they were completely ineffective.

We kindly and politely asked if we could simply move into the regular dining room, as food had not been served yet. Instead of trying to accommodate us, the event manager told us that they could not move us because reservations were coming in. I have worked in the service industry for 15 years, so I understand that if tables are reserved, nothing can be done. However, the restaurant sat essentially empty for the entire evening.

This was incredibly frustrating because moving us would have been such a simple way to make the situation right. Instead, we were given an excuse that simply was not true. And why? Because they simply didn’t want to.

Unfortunately, our wedding day brought even more problems.

Our coordinator arrived late to let us into the venue. The door had been left unlocked, so we entered and waited approximately 20 minutes before she came to greet us. Rather than being met with an apology for being late or an understanding that this was our wedding day, we were met with attitude and told that the police were on their way because we had entered the building and the silent alarm was going off.

We were made to feel as though we had done something wrong, despite the fact that the door had been left unlocked overnight and our coordinator was not there to greet us as scheduled.

Then came one of the most significant issues of the entire day: the air conditioning in our reception room was not working.

We were notified of this issue the Wednesday before our wedding, and the venue promised us a comfortable room, as they were bringing in auxiliary air-conditioning units to compensate for the broken AC. We genuinely appreciated the effort to try to resolve the problem. However, the units were not installed or working properly. The hoses became detached, and they were blowing hot air directly into the reception room.

Our florist noticed this and specifically brought it to our coordinator’s attention around noon on our wedding day. The venue therefore knew well before our guests arrived that the temporary solution was not working properly. Despite knowing this, the problem was never corrected or dealt with.

By the time our reception began, the room was unbearably hot. The area around the bar felt close to 90 degrees. We had approximately 130 guests in that room who were visibly uncomfortable, sweating, and fanning themselves with whatever they could get their hands on. Some people even left early because they could not bear the heat. Most of our guests spent the majority of the evening outside because the room was so hot.

It is frustrating to know that a comfortable room was PROMISED to us when the AC issues arose, yet despite being fully aware of the problems with the auxiliary units, they made no real effort to accommodate us. The heat had a major impact on the overall atmosphere of the party; it totally affected everyone’s (including my own) ability to fully enjoy the celebration. It had such a negative impact on our day and our overall experience.

And then, somehow, the food situation became an even bigger issue than the AC.

Despite being told our meat had been upgraded due to issues with the air conditioning, we were still served the roast beef we initially contracted for, which, honestly, was not even a big issue. The real problem was that the venue ran out of food before all of our guests had been served.

Our final three tables did not receive the chicken entrée, salad, or bread. They were given meat and plain pasta. That is almost 30 people served an incomplete meal. These were not unexpected guests. Our final guest count had been provided to the venue a week before the wedding, and there were staff members serving the food. There was absolutely no excuse for three tables to be left without the meal they were promised. We paid almost $90 per plate and, for three tables, received only a fraction of what we paid for. This is completely unacceptable.

    This was our wedding.

We spent a significant amount of money trusting this venue to execute the day we had spent so much time planning. We understand that weddings are complicated and that unexpected things happen. We would never expect perfection. What we did expect was communication, professionalism, honesty, and an effort to make things right when something went wrong.

Unfortunately, we did not receive any of those things.

A few days after the wedding, we brought all of these concerns to the General Manager. He told us he would speak with the owner and get back to us.

A week later, we were told that the venue would do nothing to address the situation because they had “done all they could.” We were again told that they had gone “above and beyond” by upgrading our meat (despite the fact that the meat was never upgraded).

We were not looking for a handout. We were not trying to make money off of our wedding. We wanted the venue to acknowledge that what happened was unacceptable, show some basic accountability for the experience they provided, and compensate us for the food that they did not deliver.

Instead, we were essentially told that everything was out of their control and that they had done enough.

The treatment from our event coordinator the weekend of the wedding was perhaps the most upsetting part of all.

Her attitude and demeanor throughout the weekend were completely unacceptable. She disrespected my guests on multiple occasions, was rude to our officiant and our vendors, and when my mother expressed concern about the temperature of the reception room, she told her to ”get over it” and said “it is what it is”despite the fact that the room was already around 80 degrees with 130 guests scheduled to arrive within a few hours.

Even more upsetting, she spoke to one of my bridesmaids about my mother and me, saying that she had been “dealing” with us all year, that we were “extremely difficult,” and that she was “done” with us.

We were not “difficult” for expecting the room to be reasonably comfortable, as promised. We were not “difficult” for asking questions about problems that directly affected our wedding, and we were not “difficult” for expecting the services we had contracted and paid for.

The air conditioning breaking was not necessarily the venue’s fault. What was within their control was how they responded once they knew the temporary solution wasn’t working.

Running out of food for three tables was not something we should have to accept.

Telling us our meat had been upgraded when it was not is something we should have to accept.

Putting us in a rehearsal dinner room that smelled like raw sewage, lying, and refusing to move us was not something we should have to accept.

My coordinator speaking disrespectfully to my mother, my vendors, and my guests, and speaking negatively about us to our wedding party was certainly not something we should have to accept.

And after all of this, being told that the venue had “done all they could” was the final insult.

Our wedding day cannot be redone, and we cannot erase the stress we experienced on what should have been one of the happiest days of our lives, all of which could have easily been either mitigated or avoided.

That is why the lack of accountability afterward was so upsetting.

We trusted this venue with one of the biggest days of our lives, and we deeply, deeply regret that decision. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this venue to look elsewhere.
