Nicole was an absolute joy to work with from the very beginning. Her communication was exceptional, and she was incredibly flexible, always open to answering any questions we had. Ann is the best!! She came highly recommended and she was, hands down, the most wonderful professional to work with for our wedding. She gave us so many creative ideas and never rushed us through an appointment. We had many laughs together as we sat and planned the details. She became one of the family through the process. She has tons of experience in the business and it showed by the quality of her work as well as her interactions with us. Her staff were terrific in setting everything up at both the church and reception. The flowers for the wedding party were magnificent and she actually made me two bouquets! I would recommend her highly and will absolutely use her for our future events!!

Anna at Ten Pennies was wonderful from day 1. Anna listened and did an amazing job at the wedding flowers. My bridal bouquet and the girls were stunning. From the bouquets to centerpieces, to church flowers she did a wonderful job! The flowers looked so classy and elegant! Anna worked hard to put our once and a lifetime day together with the flowers we wanted and she did it above and beyond! Whenever we need flowers we will be going to her!

I just want to say ANN is the best. She makes you feel like you are a true princess and helps you figure out what exactly it is you want. She is personable and VERY RELIABLE! If anything you want a reliable florist the day of your wedding! My flowers were beyond gorgeous and my bouquet was AMAZING! I never had more compliments! My venue reception room looked flawless and a dream come true fairytale wedding. I interacted with Ann several times throughout the year of planning and she was very accommodating. I really believe her work was worth every PENNY! Ten Pennies is the place to go for your wedding. Theres no doubt about it. The photos of my ballroom are just breath taking. My bouquet is one thing I will never forget about my special day. She made it just how I wanted, she even use the material from my mother's gown to wrap the stems of the flowers. Truly amazing. Thank you again Ten Pennies for doing 110% on my wedding day!

I just wanted to take the time out to thank you so very much for the absolutely BEAUTIFUL job you did on our flowers for our 5/23 wedding at the Moshulu. I mean, I had no idea a florist could do such beautiful work. It made all of us, and the venue, look like a dream. I can't thank you enough! Seriously, the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen and EVERYONE thought so too!!!

My florals were amazing - hands down, gorgeous. I had changed my mind just a few weeks before the wedding after having several meetings with Ann - and she just gets you exactly what you ask for. Exactly!!! Ah - loved every single flower that was in my bridesmaid's hands, on my groomsmen's lapels, on my escort table, my centerpieces.... everything was gorgeous and such high quality. Love Ann - and Love Ten Pennies! :)

My wife and I were not sure where to go for our wedding flowers. We live close to Ten Pennies, and decided to stop in to speak with Ann. My wife had an idea what she wanted, and Ann really helped us to bring my wife's vision for the wedding to fruition.
Even when my wife changed her bride's maids' dresses and became concerned towards the wedding day, Ann was always there to offer some calming words of advice. The Ten Pennies' team showed up on time and did amazing work to make the venue look beautiful. We were so impressed with their work. If you have any floral needs, Ten Pennies is a great place.

Unbelievable! Anna from Ten Pennies told me that when I walked into the reception I would be impressed --well she wasn't kidding. The Rose Garden Room looked spectacular! Thank you. Be sure to listen to her suggestions, she has terrific ideas. Warning : I spent double my floral budget but it was worth every penny!!

Ten Pennies was amazing. I had my wedding at the Down Town Club and Ann did such a fabulous job. I had all tall centerpieces, she created an arbor to go over the ceremony area and our sweetheart table and she changed the lighting so that each centerpiece was highlighted. It was stunning. She was a pleasure to work with. It was expensive but no one else in the City could have accomplished what she did with our budget. Beautiful.

Ten Pennies is a little more expensive... but oh my goodness! The flowers were amazing and absolutely beautiful! Ann has a ton of energy and amazing vision. I did not have any ideas for bouquets or center pieces. I told Ann the colors of the bridesmaids dresses and she did the rest. The result was breathtaking!

Although Ten Pennies was a bit more expensive than some other florists I spoke to, the quality of their work is well worth a little extra cost. They were incredibly professional and responsive in the time before the wedding, and what I saw when I walked into the reception was so beautiful - beyond what I hoped for. I would undoubtly recommend them.

Ann and her assistant Mary were very helpful! I went in to our first meeting with pictures and grand ideas in my head, with a very small budget. Ann was able to provide me with gorgeous flowers & decor within my budget. She also had very unique ideas and thoughts for flowers that I hadn't even heard of before. I believe she made my wedding more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! If you let her know your venue, she will assist you with choosing your centerpiece and placecard table display size. I would recommend choosing your reception/ceremony venue before your first meeting with Ten Pennies so they can work their magic!

Ann was kind enough to meet with me and my mother-in-law on a moment's notice to help us plan the flowers for our wedding. She made the entire process so easy to get through because she is the ultimate professional, has a keen eye for everything and is so organized. I could not wait for our wedding day to arrive because I knew the flowers were going to be amazing. She didn't disappoint. I know she already has a great reputation in Philadelphia but I would recommend her to the world.

Above everything else, my flowers were absolutely amazing and everything that I could have imagined them to be. Ann is very in tune with making your vision become a reality.
That being said, my only criticism follows suit with any other "negative" reviews that you will find... I found myself rather disappointed at the pushy and sometimes rude behavior that was passive aggressively directed at me a few times during the process. There is no formal invoice, only conversations and handwritten contracts, so make sure everything is clearly written and broken down before you put your deposit down, which you will be pushed to do the second you walk in because if you want to save any kind of money or take advantage of any discount she offers, you have about five minutes before it "expires". Upon my final payment, I was called out of the blue and promised a discount/credit/refund of an undisclosed amount (she couldn't tell me the exact price for some reason) if I was able to pay within the hour with a credit card, only to later end up losing that money for a last minute charge that was mostly due to the venue's apparently "unsuitable" centerpiece risers. This happened less than a week before the wedding, which left a bad taste in my mouth.
Like I said, she's worth every penny but just make sure you are on top of it all and are not afraid to push back!

I would totally recommend Ten Pennies! I was vey impressed with their work. Upon walking in the ballroom I was blown away. Ann can sometimes be tough to talk to because she is all over the place but you just have to go in with your budget and know exactly what you want and she will take care of you.

Ok, For the most part, I was happy with the flowers at our wedding. Our centerpieces and ceremony decorations were beautiful, and other than our bouquets, I was happy with the way the flowers looked. What I did not like, was the way I was completely discounted every time I met with Ann. I would say "I really like ranunculas, maybe we could put them in the bouquets" and she would say "Or, I'll just use my discretion with what to put in the bouquets". Um, ok. Also, in our contract I said that I expressly did not want a certain type of flowers in the bouquets, and they were in every single one, bride and bridesmaid alike. Again, I will say, that the ceremony and reception flowers were really nice. It just kinda sucks to pay money to work with someone, and feel like you're not being heard at all. The work was nice so I gave them the yes for "recommend to a friend" , but if I personally had to do it over, I would have probably gone with another florist just to save the stress.

I ordered my wedding centerpieces from Ten Pennies. The mock up done by Nicole was beautiful and full. The day of my wedding the centerpieces were less flowers and it was not like the mock up. The day I went to see my mock up Ann (the owner) assured me everything would be perfect and gave me this long talk about the "wedding day"...so ironic since she was the most outspoken of all of my vendors yet was the only vendor that didn't follow through with the quality work I was promised.

I reached out to Nicole afterwards and she said she spoke with her manager and they are sending me a $35 gift card because you can clearly see the centerpieces are not like the mock up.

Overall, I wish hadn't used Ten Pennies. Such a disappointment...

I have nothing bad to say about any of the vendors that were at my wedding, except for ten pennies flowers. I must have used the word sheister about several dozen times as I reviewed our contract. The owner Ann met with my mother and fiancée months before the wedding and showed a number of photo samples. Impressed, my mom made the mistake of agreeing to sign with Ann and to give her a cash deposit that, alone, was more than the product to be delivered should have ever cost. It was certainly a lesson learned and hindsight teaches much. She arbitrarily charges very inflated prices including those for linen, centerpieces, the individual flowers, place cards, and a chuppa---all of which were rentals but would have been cheaper purchased elsewhere. While I do acknowledge that the wedding night was beautiful, with credit due to Ann but also the decorations provided by the venue, I could have and should have attained just as good from another florist for a fraction of the cost and a even smaller fraction the aggravation.

The kicker is that she triple charges on the other fees (note, the contract is very vague in terms of what each of the labor services entails). She charged nearly $1500 for local delivery, set-up, breakdown, and this cockamamie changeover fee. The changeover fee, according to Ann is in case the wedding were to need to take place indoors and a room needed to be changed over…the catch, she would charge this regardless of whether the wedding would take place indoors or out. Further, paying a changeover fee did not ensure that her employees would be on site at all times. When we realized, days before the wedding, that due to weather we wanted to move the ceremony indoors, Ann tried to charge me an additional changeover fee, on top of the one she already argued for. Word of warning. At this point I spoke with Ann directly to hear why this was necessary. I understand why my mom and fiancée caved and bought from her…she has a very strong and intimidating personality that is just plain scary. Most of her sentences started by 1.) cutting me off and interrupting me, 2.) speaking in a condescending manner such as “Now I am going to explain this so you can understand.” Or “What do you do for a living? When I come to you I would expect you to tell me what to do…weddings are my thing so this is how it’s done.” Or, simply by inquiring about the fees, she replies, “you and your family are among the most difficult people I have worked with in 30 years.” This just less than a week before the wedding…nice! We are pretty easy going people, I would say. I just don’t like to pay a contract without reading it. Ultimately, rather than being open to discussion or negotiation, she exploded and said, you know what, fine…you win! It wasn’t about winning or losing as I saw it…just about fairness and respect, both of which seemed to be unilateral. I have no doubt she still made a nice profit so I don't know where she gets the idea that she lost.

Lastly, and here is the kicker…We Have the updated contract after renegotiating our budget…note, we did not make any changes to design of the centerpieces themselves but only with Ann regarding the prices that she was charging…also note, the price per centerpiece did not change….However, and I have photographic evidence…Our original centerpieces consisted of few greens, white orchids and OPEN white roses. When I asked to see a sample in the shop, Ann said, I have a similar one if you can come in today. I said, no, I live 2 hours away and I want to see what we are buying, not a leftover of someone else. She presented us a beautiful centerpiece when we arrived a week later with the flowers we requested. ON THE WEDDING DAY, the product she delivered contained lots of fillers and greens, if there were any open roses or orchids they must have been hiding because instead I saw what looked like cheap grocery store flowers. Whether she did this out of spite for me questioning the labor fees or if this is just how she does business, I will never know, but hopefully I can save someone else the disappointment.

I had a very small, intimate union in my living room, so I only needed one vase of flowers. One perfect vase of white flowers. NOPE. Even though I specifically asked for all white (no green couldn't have been stressed more) my fiance arrives the morning of our wedding with a vase (giant and not plain like requested BTW) filled to the brim with green. I cried. White flowers were the only thing that I wanted and they didn't listen. ALL white (not even any specific flowers - just only white). You would think they could deliver more than 6 white roses, 2 hydrangeas, and some filler flowers. I spent the morning taking the floral travesty apart, removing troves of green leafy filler, and re-arranging the entire bouquet. And by re-arranging I mean stuffing all the white flowers in a vase...because I not a freaking florist. My fiance felt so bad. I would have been ok with the dismal amount of flowers if they didn't make me work for them. The entire day wasn't ruined, but I won't ever look back and think WOW 10 pennies really helped....cause they didn't. In fact, I think they owe me a Stila Black eyeliner due to all he re-applications bc my ONLY flower arrangement was terrible and I couldn't stop crying all morning. Save yourself and go somewhere that listens. That is what to take away. Yes, other ladies had great arrangements...but if you want a specific color, look, flower best try elsewhere.

Rude, curt and unprofessional. I did not use Ten Pennies for my wedding, thankfully, but I met with them to discuss the possibility of working with them. I also met with six to eight other florists and all of them were willing to work within my budget of $3,500 - $4,500. Anne, the owner, who I met with seemed very rushed when meeting with me, as if she didn't have time for me after I told her my budget. Instead of her giving me options for how she could work with me within my budget she basically told me she could not give me what I wanted. I tried to engage her with questions about how we could work together and she started cleaning her desk, stood up and shook my hand. I was instructed to contact her assistant if I had any additional questions and to definitely not e-mail her. After 10 minutes, I left the meeting baffled not understanding how an established florist could not find a way to work with me within my budget and wondered how Anne, who has a wonderful reputation in the community, could be so short and unprofessional with me...everyone has off days, but in a service industry especially during a recession, you would think that the vendor would jump at the opportunity to work with a new client regardless of the budget.
