Where do I even begin? The Telski wedding team is truly phenomenal. From start to finish, Tiffany was an absolute joy to work with—exceptionally communicative, attentive, and fully committed to bringing our vision to life.

Next, the entire team at Allred’s exceeded every expectation. Our guests are still raving about the unforgettable experience—the breathtaking views, the impeccable service, the vibrant atmosphere. Every detail was executed flawlessly.

Our wedding day felt seamless, and every member of the team—from the waitstaff and bartenders to the chefs—went above and beyond to make it extraordinary. We are deeply grateful for the care that went into every moment. We have had so many "best wedding i've ever been to" reviews from our friends and family.

The wedding of our dreams!!!!! If you're considering Telluride for your wedding, let this be your sign!

My husband and I had the most beautiful October 2025 wedding at Gorrono Ranch/San Sophia Overlook in Telluride. I remember first inquiring about the venue right after getting engaged, and the team was so excited, helpful, and informative. We worked mostly with Sarah, and she was such a joy to work with. She helped us identify the right venue for our vision, was mindful of our budget, and worked with our wedding planner to perfectly execute every detail of our day. We also had the best time with Alex at our food/wine tasting and he helped us curate beverages and the perfect menu to serve our guests. The views and service at our venue were nothing short of magical, and my husband and I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. Thank you a million times to the Telluride Weddings team!!! Wish we could give you all 10 stars!

Beautiful Setting and Superb Customer Service

You cannot beat the beautiful settings offered in Telluride for your wedding. My daughter choice the San Sophia Overlook and it was absolutely perfect! The staff at Telluride Ski Resort that helps during the planning process are there every step of the way!

Palmyra Lookout Wedding

Recently I got married at Palmyra Lookout and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The views are beyond breathtaking, but what really made the experience incredible was working with the Telluride Weddings team! Piper and Jessica were my main points of contact and from the start, they made the planning process so easy—every question I had was answered quickly, and I always felt supported.

Winter Wedding @ Gorrono Ranch

The Telski wedding team was fantastic to work with! We primarily worked with Tiffany, who is a gem, but each person we met with as part of the larger wedding planning process was extremely considerate, kind, professional, and responsive! This past Summer, we had a very fun wedding tasting up at Gorrono Rach to talk through all the possibilities and the team made the process such a fun & unique experience. Then the Telski team worked so hard to help us pull off our logistically complicated wedding (aka a winter wedding at Gorrono Ranch, which required snowcats, limited window to set-up, a staging area for guests to hang out, etc.). Also extremely appreciated was their attention to details when setting up Gorrono Ranch as a wedding venue, cute ideas (like having a custom ski sign made for us), and most amazingly, their estimate for budget as almost exactly what it ended up costing, so they're not hiding any fees or charges for post-wedding. All in all, highly recommend and many thanks again to the great Telski wedding team!

INCREDIBLE team at the best venue

It’s no secret that Telluride Ski resorts have the best venues with breathtaking and unique views. But on top of this they also have such a wonderful team to help bring your vision to life. The team is extremely responsive, patient, kind, and all around fun to work with. Highly recommend.

Excellent venue

Kristen(Wedding/Events Mgr) and Jim (Tomboy Tavern GM) provided the most fun and yummy tasting. Communication was excellent and quick. The San Sophia overlook is breathtaking. Unfortunately we were unable to have our event due to the COVID-19 but absolutely would recommend this to all brides.

I worked with Kristen to book our venues and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She went above and beyond to address all of my questions in a timely, helpful, and calming manner. Beautiful Wedding Location and Fantastic Team

Kristen and Telluride Ski Resorts was amazing. As this is a very specialized destination wedding location, you must hire them to be your coordinator. Your local person will just not know what to do, and their price for the coordinator is very reasonable. We could not have asked for a better wedding location and team!

Amazing experience!

We had the most amazing wedding in Telluride. The ceremony was at San Sophia Overlook and the reception at Tomboy Tavern. Guest list was 60. We used the wedding coordinator services through the resort. Kristen Booher was easy to work with and had a great relationship with all the vendors around town. I would definitely recommend her and the resort locations!

Incredible

Logan was so wonderful to work with. She ended up taking over my wedding a couple of weeks before and she was on point! She took care of everything and made sure my day was perfect. Amazing day!

Great experience!

The venue is so beautiful that it speaks for itself, but the resort couldn't have been more helpful and professional in making our day exactly what we wanted. We felt taken care of from start to finish, so our planning process was nearly stress-free. I would highly recommend them!

Wonderfully supportive event planners

We could not be any happier with our experience working with Kristen and Logan for our wedding at the Peaks! They were so helpful and supportive through the whole process and especially made the day of the event run smoothly. It was a rainy day and they kept an eye on the radar and still found a way to make it work for us to have the ceremony outside after the rain stopped by shifting the schedule around a bit. We didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding, which was a huge relief. All of the staff was so thoughtful and wonderful and we wouldn't have changed a thing about the day!

Stress Free

Worked with Logan and everything went perfectly. I had a few details I didn't really have a plan for but she executed it better than I would have envisioned. She created a back up plan for us in case of bad weather and kept us calm day of! Really thrilled that we chose to get married at San Sophia. It was perfect. Thanks Logan!

Great Experience

We have looked at many mountain venues in Colorado and have been discouraged with the service and attitude of many of the places. We reached out to Telluride Mountain and had a completely different experience. From the very first call with Kristen Booher, we were pretty sure this was the place for us. We had so many questions and not once did she seem annoyed or bothered to be answering them. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable with everything before we signed a contract. She was flexible, friendly, incredibly responsive, and seemed genuinely excited to be helping us. I cannot wait for our wedding there and would highly recommend working with Kristen!

Kristen is the ABSOLUTE best. She knew us from day 1. In fact, I didn't believe her initially when she told me after hearing our vision that we wanted a September wedding at Tomboy Tavern. But after a few months of hemming and hawing, we came around. And boy was she right. It was a beautiful fall weekend, beautiful venue and Kristen made it all go off without a hitch. She was totally responsive, came up with creative ideas for the ceremony and the party, made fabulous recommendations for the flowers, band, and photographer, and generally kept everyone in line. I don’t know what we would have done without her on the day – she developed a perfect schedule and held everyone to it. She coordinated all the vendors, dealt with many unanticipated moments, including a police visit and a surprise cake. She managed golf carts, wheel chairs, status of our tab (bring out the good stuff!). She sent us off for sunset pictures with the photographer and made sure we got our food (which was INCREDIBLE). She confirmed that the band was ready to play our songs and moved them inside when the noise was too much for the neighbors. We had s’mores, we had bourbon. We had so.much.fun. She even delivered all of our stuff to the hotel and it was ready for pick up when we checked out at 9am the next day. I can’t say enough about Kristen. All I can tell you is that she is amazing.

Logan made everything about working with the Telluride Ski Resort clear and easy. She shared plenty of information in advance, and truly worked with us to make the day ours. The day of the wedding she and her team were ready for rain or shine and switched in-between the two to make our guests comfortable. We didn’t have to worry about anything. She also arranged for a back-up venue (for free) in case there was lightning and we weren’t able to have the ceremony on the mountain top. She was very professional and positive throughout our entire experience.

We booked Gorrono for our summer wedding reception after only having visited it once during ski season. We could not have been happier with our decision. The majority of our guests traveled from Washington, D.C. or California for our wedding. They had amazing things to say about the food, staff, drinks and views the venue offered. Our wedding planner put us in touch with Robin and the TSG team. From the tasting to the final walk-through, Robin and the rest of the Gorrono/TSG crew made sure all of our requests were met. They were organized and easy to work with from a distance. Everything exceeded our expectations.

They were amazing from start to finish. We planned our entire wedding from Florida without seeing the venue or meeting the staff until the day before. We dealt with Robin via email/phone and she was wonderful! She responded always right away, was extremely helpful with suggestions, recommendations and customization. Our ceremony got rained out at San Sophia last minute and Robin and her staff pulled together our "Plan B" flawlessly. TelSki was an absolute pleasure to work with in every way and they made all of our wedding dreams come true!

The team at Telluride Ski Resort made our wedding the best and most memorable event. The team was extremely professional and helpful throughout the entire process, from helping with initial planning, to the tasting, and flawless event execution. We'd planned to have our ceremony at San Sophia Overlook, but due to inclement weather the day of the wedding, we had to make some last minute changes to the schedule and move the event indoors to the reception site (Gorrono Ranch). Gorrono was perfect for our wedding, with the deck, dinner, & dancing areas, and rustic Colorado feel. The team was absolutely flawless in making this happen, doing everything smoothly behind the scenes while keeping my husband and I posted throughout the process. They continually checked to make sure that we were alright, feeling comfortable and relaxed, with champagne in hand. Our families and friends were so grateful with how smoothly and professionally everything was handled. And when the cake vendor forgot the groom's cake, the venue team worked last minute to try and create us a replica of the planned grooms cake. That willingness to go above and beyond to make our wedding everything we'd dreamed stood out to me so much as a testament of how hard this team works and how fantastic they truly are :) All of our guests raved about the food, some saying it was the best they've ever had at a wedding. Overall the wedding was fantastic and everything we'd wanted, and that's thanks to the team at Telluride Ski!

If you are looking for an amazing backdrop and views to die for than this is your location. The staff at TSG were extremely professional and helpful from the very beginning with planning a destination wedding. The San Sophia site was our ceremony location, with an acoustical guitarist, passed appetizers and a standing bar from Allred's. The afternoon mountain weather gave us a little scare but Holly and her team at TSG were on top of contingency planning without us being worried at all. We ventured into Allred's private dining room with our wedding party of 20 and had our own very attentive servers. The food was delicious, the wine picked by the sommelier was fantastic and our guests are still raving about the wonderful cuisine. The views from the inside of Allred's were just as beautiful as on San Sophia site and to top off our magical day we were blessed with a double rainbow during the reception.

Alpino Vino and the Telluride G&S (specifically Robin) were wonderful!!! Planning our wedding was a breeze. The day turned out to be better than our wildest dream. Robin helped coordinate every aspect of our special day from arrival time to departure. She was even on site for my arrival which meant the world to us. I'm still on cloud nine!

Five stars is not enough to rate our experience with Holli Owen at the Telluride Ski Resort. Holli's relaxed, easygoing demeanor belies a highly focused, thoughtful, and resourceful approach to wedding planning. Her keen insight into people allows her to match couples and vendors who share the same creative vision, as well as find common ground between couples who occasionally cannot agree on a particular issue. As planning progressed, our check-in calls became shorter and shorter because we had the utmost faith in her ability to manage vendors and make final decisions on our behalf. On the day of our wedding, the entire day flowed smoothly, and we didn't have to think about a single issue because we knew that we could rely entirely on Holli. After the wedding, countless people pulled us aside confidentially to say that it was the most beautiful wedding that they had ever attended, and we owe it all to Holli. We cannot recommend her more highly.

Over the course of the entire year, she made the entire process seem like a blast!
As time went on, our meetings were shorter because we had such complete faith...

The venue and wedding day were fantastic. We had our ceremony and reception at Gorrono Ranch. Everything we had discussed over the previous year was in place and ready to go. Our food tasting was delicious, and then, on the wedding day the food turned out just as great. The wait staff at Gorrono was terrific! I had multiple guests, after the fact, tell me how accommodating and helpful they were. I worked with Robin throughout the year to coordinate times, ask questions, and do our tasting. She was always extremely helpful! Overall, just a great experience. Robin and everyone at the resort really know how to execute and take care of a wedding and their guests.

I mentioned to Holly that the girls had trouble with the cracks between the boards on the platform. At the very beginning of the ceremony Allison had to wrestle Emily's heel out of a crack. Then later the same thing happened. Also while we were taking photos one of the guests got her heel caught, pulled it out and stomped on my foot. Ouch! I think they have become quite dangerous because it catches one off balance.

Anyway, everything else was fabulous. Thanks so much for all of your help! You all were great!!

This was one of the best experiences I've had with a resort/hotel/customer service. Everyone in the resort was extremely friendly and very accommodating. From the moment I first contacted Holi at Telluride she was so responsive, so professional , and willing to help me. I made this process very long and never for a moment did I feel holi was frustrated with me. Lacy and Holi both answered my emails very promptly , and helped me with any questions I had regarding the whole wedding process. I planned this wedding from Indiana in 5 months and never ever did I feel rushed or put off. I loved the entire process. Then I got to meet holi and let me tell you she is great via email but amazing in person. She met with me at the San Sophia site a few days before the wedding, she even came to the rehearsal and the actual wedding ceremony. I don't think I will ever be able to repay Holi for how kind, loving and helpful she was. I felt like I had known her for years she was so welcoming. Everyone in Telluride is amazing !!! All the staff for the event was amazing,personable, and made us and our families feel very welcome! My husband and I had our wedding ceremony at San Sophia Overlook and reception/dance at Gorrono Ranch on the Fourth of July. We worked closely with Holli Owen and our wedding planner (Deana Mitchell) throughout the planning process. Holli is easy to work with and promptly responded to any questions we asked via email or over the phone. We also had several special requests and Holli worked diligently to ensure everything we asked for was taken care of. We worked with Lacey Downing a bit closer to wedding and she was great to work with as well.

TSG has everything you need for an amazing wedding from awesome coordinators, gorgeous views, delicious food, and exceptional service staff! As we've caught up with our guests after the wedding they have raved about the venue and food. Honestly we couldn't have dreamed of a more amazing beginning to our happily ever after!

Working with Telluride Ski & Golf and Lacey specifically was very smooth. It was easy selecting our menu, alcohol, setting up our food tasting, etc. Since this was our first time (and hopefully only time ever!) planning a wedding, we had a ton of questions and Lacey always got back to us right away, which we greatly appreciated. Our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the venues- Allred's and San Sophia Station. Robin with Telluride Ski Resort was wonderful to work with. She made things so easy, even with us planning the wedding from hundreds of miles away. The mountain top wedding site at San Sophia is one of a kind. The 360 degree views are breathtaking. Allred's is a first class restaurant. The menu they offered was wonderful including Ahi and prime rib. The staff was extremely professional and went out of their way to make sure everything went perfectly. Allred's dining area and bar also have amazing one of a kind views.
I appreciate their staff's hard work to our wedding day the best day of my life.

Holli and Lacey were wonderful to work with. My husband and I were working within a budget, and the pricing and logistics were very clear in the beginning when we started working wtih them. However, when we did want to make changes, they were extremly flexible, especially when it came to food and beverages. We are avid microbeer fans and they were able to provide several Colorado microbeers at our reception.

In addition, the service staff at the reception were phenomenal. Everything flowed very smoothly, and the food was fantastic. We had several guests let us know that this was the best wedding food and drink selection they had ever had.

We had our dream wedding in Telluride and it could not have been possible without the staff at telski, specifically holli owen and chef Stephen Roth at Allreds. Holli was very laid back yet extremely professional and I felt at ease with her right from the beginning. She always followed up promptly and when she said she would which is hard to find in a laid back town like telluride. Holli is a very hard worker and ensured every detail was discussed and was very upfront with us and very fair when it came to pricing. She worked with us and the chef to develop a menu that was specifically catered to us and our event and our guests said it was the best Indian food they have ever eaten. Holli was one of our favorite vendors! I recommended telski to anyone that wants to do a wedding in telluride! Amazing experience!

The Tempter House was the PERFECT venue. Our guests either rode a snowmobile up or ski/snowboarded to the house. When they arrived there was a fondue lunch with hot chocolate and hot apple cider. The resort was great about helping make the menu and keeping it in budget. We were able to have the ceremony on the deck off of the master bedroom and it was a beautiful blue sky day.

We wanted a bit of a destination wedding while staying in the mountains, Telluride was the most perfect location! The ladies at TelSki were helpful and friendly from the beginning through the event. Everything felt so easy and seamless, planning from Denver and only visiting once in the summer for a fantastic tasting and walk-through experience. The San Sophia overlook for the ceremony looks down to the town of Telluride while having a 360 view of magical mountains. The reception at the Tomboy Tavern felt very intimate and suited for our personalities - the staff was accommodating and fun.

We had a really wonderful experience working with the Telluride Ski Resort Weddings team. We worked with Sarah, who was so nice and answered all of our many questions throughout the process and made everything very easy and clear for us. The team is extremely professional, and we truly did not have to worry about a single thing during our wedding weekend, which was our goal. Food and venue is so amazing that you don’t really need to add much other decor/flowers. Also, the contract requires use of a day-of coordinator, which at first we weren’t planning on hiring. So glad that this was required because we ended up hiring Telluride Unveiled as a coordinator and the day would not have been as perfect without them.

When people ask us about our wedding day, my first response is always, "It was the best day of my life." We are a same-sex couple living in Austin. We wanted to get out Texas and go somewhere beautiful to tie the knot. We initially chose Telluride because it's gorgeous and we love the mountains, but also because we wanted to get married in a blue state where we knew the culture and community would be warm and accepting. This was 100% true on both fronts. We had our ceremony at The San Sophia Overlook (absolutely BREATHTAKING) and followed with dinner in Allred's Private Dining Room. Our wedding was everything we ever wanted and more. We joke that if we saw our wedding on Pinterest we would have pinned it! Not only is Telluride beautiful and the most perfect location to say "I do", but planning with the resort was effortless. We worked with Kristin B. and she was such a pleasure! We planned everything on our own including making our own floral arrangements and acting as our own day-of planner. Even with all the planning, there is still so much that goes into making a wedding unfold perfectly and it's so easy to overlook the little stuff you can't anticipate. Kristin helped us dot every "i" and cross every "t". She made our job so much easier by walking us through every step of the process and giving us helpful tips along the way. In addition, the staff at Allred's was totally out of this world! Seriously, they were so attentive and AMAZING. I would definitely recommend taking on the adventure and getting married in Telluride. I've heard from many of our 20 guests that our wedding was one of their favorite vacations. It was a total win and we can't wait to return to Telluride for years to come!

I had the wedding of my dreams! Everyone was extremely helpful and answered every one of my questions. My guests were blown away with the views at San Sophia Overlook, and loved the atmosphere and service of Tomboy Tavern (The food was amazing). It was absolutely perfect!!

We were very pleased with the Venue and Staff of TelSki. The planning process went very smoothly and the execution was practically flawless. The meal was superb, the appetizers delicious, and the drinks were made to perfection. I had one small issue that the staff resolved to my satisfaction and I sincerely appreciated their attention to the matter. All in all, it was a magical day and I would highly recommend Telluride and TelSki to anyone looking for a spectacular destination wedding venue. We heard nothing but pleasure from our guests who had traveled from far and wide to get to Telluride. I will share a quote from one of our guests: "Unparalleled beauty in the surroundings, the bride, the wedding vows, the mothers, and even some handsome guys! :) Thank you for an unforgettable experience." I believe the staff at TelSki helped to make this "an unforgettable experience" for all of us.

Our wedding at Gorrono was amazing. We have absolutely no complaints. Working with Robin Wolfe was such a fantastic experience. We only planned out wedding 6 weeks out and Robin was so helpful in making it happen!

We had a great experience working with the staff at Telluride Ski Resort to plan our Wedding day. My husband and I stayed at the Peaks resort during the week we were there and thought it was a great place for a bride and groom because it was not centered at mountain village where most of our guests were. We did our Rehearsal dinner at Flavor in downtown Telluride which was a tight fit for about 50 but amazing service from Eric and his staff. It was very intimate and the food was delicious. The wedding day was amazing. Holli Owen and her assistant Lacy were amazing at making the day about the bride and groom, and making sure all things ran smoothly. Meehan Fee was also a huge help during the whole process. We hired her for the day of the wedding and she did a phenomenal job at catering to our needs on our wedding day. All three were an amazing help through the 6 months of planning as well. We had our wedding at the San Sophia Overlook and Reception at Gorrono ranch. My husband and I absolutely loved Telluride and having our special day there, and would do it over again a thousand times!

My experience with Telluride Ski and Golf generally — and Holli Owens, the event manager there, more specifically — was wonderful. I live in New York City and planning all of the details of our wedding from over two thousand miles away was a bit nerve-wracking. Holli was incredibly calm and collected the entire time, and — given Telluride standards — very responsive to my many, many phone calls and emails. Just a cool lady generally, and fun to work with.

I grew up skiing at Telluride and, while I absolutely love Gorronos as a mid-day ski break lodge, I was a little bit nervous about how it would "clean up" for our reception. It did though. It was just beautiful and fit our group of 90 people perfectly. (You could easily fit more, but 90 was a great number to fill it up but still have room to breathe.) Again, Holli was amazing in this regard: I gave her a million different little detailed elements for everything from the dinner tables to the bathrooms, and she had everything exactly in place when the time came. Last but certainly not least, the quality of the food was a wonderful surprise. I didn't know what to expect from a non-restaurant venue, but their chef did a filet mignon that was to die for, and our cheese station during cocktail hour is still being talked about.

Our ceremony was at San Sophia Overlook (formerly Top of Seven site), and absolutely amazing. With the drop-off nature of the platform and mountains that jutted out behind us, the photos are one-of-a-kind. I keep getting comments from guests about how they've never seen anything quite like the site, and how special it really was. The bridesmaids had a little bit of a hard time walking down the grass aisle (we opted for no aisle runner) in their heels, but I imagine that's the case for any grass, outdoor wedding.

Overall, I loved our experience with Holli Owens and TelSki—everything turned out better than I imagined.

Working with the team from Telluride Ski and Golf was great. They were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. The only downfall is that you have to do all of your food and alcohol through them and they can pretty much charge whatever they want without compromise.

Telluride is a magnificent venue for a wedding. TSG provided professional services: from the food tasting back in Sept to the incredible meal provided to guests all was five star. The staff at the reception went above and beyond service for us. The ceremony site was a bit challenging and TSG along with our wedding planner made all possible and the site was astonishingly beautiful.

Amazing Reception at The Peaks

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue than The Peaks for our wedding reception. From the breathtaking views to the flawless service, everything about our experience was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was exactly as we envisioned, and their professionalism and warmth made us—and our guests—feel genuinely cared for.
The space itself is stunning—elegant, welcoming, and set against an incredible natural backdrop that added something truly special to our celebration. The food was phenomenal, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

First things first, the food was absolutely amazing. We actually did not choose Gorrono for the food, so it was such a sweet sweet added bonus that it was the best!! Everyone was complimenting it the entire evening and the chef was so nice to work with. My (now) husband was just saying how he enjoyed the mentality of everyone involved in the planning - not pushy and really worked with us to create the perfect evening. And I cannot say enough good things about Kristin. Honestly, she was just the icing on the cake. She was able to accommodate us with everything and worked so diligently to stay within our budget which we honestly cannot appreciate enough. To be honest, when I first started the process I actually worked with someone else from Telluride who would tell me one thing but then when I asked her about it later she would go back on her word. Kristin was so honest and sweet and just really understood amazing customer service. Exactly what you would want in a planner, seriously. Cannot say enough good things!

The San Sophia overlook is a gorgeous place for a wedding. We were lucky with the weather. The Allred's restaurant was a fabulous spot for the lunch/reception. The scenery with the fall colors was amazing. It certainly set the mood for a lovely reception. Allred's food was very good, many guests commented on how good it was.

There is not better place than telluride, o get married. Telski and all the wedding staff is helpful and professional. My wedding at San Sophia was a dream, and beautifully executed by the TElski staff. My one complaint, minor as it may be, is we were charged $40/gallon for orange juice.( i did know this in advance) Overall I don't think their pricing is outrageous for San Sophia (gorrono and allreds on the other hand have ridiculous minimums) but $40 for a gallon that costs $4 in the store is insanity. It just sucks feeling so taken advantage of with an outrageous upcharge, just to have mimosas after your ceremony. The OJ was as expensive as the champagne! That being said, Telski was organized and effecient from start to finish and if its always been your dream to get married at San Sophia, you dont let expensive OJ stop you ;)

The venue looked absolutely wonderful on the day of the wedding, it definitely exceeded my expectations! The servers and bartenders were also top notch. Throughout the planning process, there were often several days delay in correspondence with the venue which often stressed me out, but this didn't effect the event at all and everything went smoothly.

Everything was great aside from the quality of the grass on the aisle of San Sophia. I was also told there was a water station for guests but that was actually set up in the yurt where no guests were going. Would have liked a little better communication on that so I could have provided water for my guests.

San Sophia was an amazing location for our ceremony. TelSki had some hiccups in the beginning by missing our first meeting, but after that it was smooth sailing.

Everything was wonderful. Only one small complaint....lack of timely responses in the beginning not only to me, the mother of the bride, but also to the bride and groom. In the end I suppose it did not matter so much because everything went smoothly, but it was frustrating.
The food was amazing!!! as was the service!

Telluride Ski Resort is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! They have lots of fantastic venue and accomodations options for your wedding. While we did encounter very nice vendors around our wedding process, our overall experience was that they've been doing this a very long time and are somewhat burnt out. The vibe is a little "Don't tell us what you want. We know what is going to work best and that's final." They very much try to funnel you into their comfortable system. And as long as you are okay with it, you will have no problems! But if you plan to break the mold a bit with your decorations and overall timeline. I'd find an independent venue in Telluride and save yourself the headache of the resort system. Maybe talk to some of the farmers at the farmer's market and see if they would rent you some space! Again, I wish I could rate my experience differently, but the system they've created to manage the large amount of wedding they see per season is a bit outdated and ridged. I did not leave Telluride thinking I would recommend it to future brides. Not the way I did it. Although I will give a shout out to Allreds for preparing a perfect meal for our guests, our planner Telluride Unveiled, our Photographer Ben Eng, Florist Dahlia, and Videographers- Vow of the Wild. The wedding itself was FANTASTIC! Getting there had it's difficulties and I expected to feel more like a bride and less like a nuisance to the Resort.

I'm the groom - have a lot of positives! but telluride management detracted from the night for me - unimpressed.

We recently held a winter wedding on site (black tie at Goronno Ranch). The wedding went very well, we used Sutton Enrico as our wedding planner - she was superb, kept all of the pieces moving well and worked well with my wife and mother-in-law, who both did the planning.

Beware - We went to Telluride well in advance for appointments at a number of possible venues. We had Robin (MD of Weddings & Event) show us around the resorts venues. We settled on Goronno Ranch. In the process of reviewing the site she showed us the warming hut outside and said that "we could have whiskey served in here, and even cigar smoking - even though it isnt allowed during the day- but when the venue is rented it can be accommodated if we liked." I remember the statement explicitly as I am cigar smoker and I thought how great it would be.... it was a large selling point for me. We signed the contract a month later - a ton of intricate planning went into the wedding (which was fantastic!!) but on the night Robin stated that she had never said that. (We had spent $500 on premium cigars) - I was pretty disappointed with her. After her emotional quotient and business sense caught up with her and she realized we were spending >$70k on the night alone....and some reserved words.... she went and spoke to the single staff working in hut and they stated it was ok for smoking (completely understandable to get the staffs permission or have it unmanned). I also tipped the staff $100. It was frustrating for this to happen on the evening, as the first thing I encountered when I arrived.

Telluride is a great venue. Nearly every person we ran into was a professional (dont expect super slick ppl, they are slightly noncommercial). No one ever told us about discount group lift tickets &never given a list of ski rental for group rates - we found it ourselves.
