We could not have imagined a more perfect fit for our wedding. From our first phone call, we knew hiring Julian was the right decision. He was professional, prompt, extremely enthusiastic, and clearly dedicated to making our night exactly what we wanted. I looked forward to our zoom/phone calls because his fun, confident personality made the wedding planning enjoyable and stress-free, which I greatly appreciated. During the wedding, he easily adapted to a couple last minute changes, while keeping the night smoothly on track.

On point, professional, cool, and fun

We hired Team Sayles for our June 2022 wedding, and couldn't be happier with our choice for a DJ. During the planning process, Julian was professional, responsive, funny, and understanding, all of which helped put us at ease. He also quickly helped us with special requests, including mixing particular songs together for a first dance routine, which was an absolute blast and hit during the reception.

Julian also met with us a few times during the process, visited the space, and made sure to pronounce everyone's name correctly.

During our non-traditional ceremony, Team Sayles skillfully coordinated the music down to the minute to help the entire event stay on pace. During the reception, Julian and his partner were fun, kept the energy up, and had great taste in music. They were also responsible for arranging uplighting, and the uplights they installed completely transformed the event space and were worth every penny. During a wedding with various challenges in a challenging space, the music was never one of them.

Julian and the rest of Team Sayles have our strongest recommendation! We really loved working with y’all and our wedding guests had the absolute best time. Thank you thank you thank you! We love you!

Julian and his team were the perfect choice for our wedding. I could not have been happier with how everything went and they made sure everyone was up on the dance floor! Everyone was dancing!

Julian was fantastic to work with and helped our wedding run seamlessly from the ceremony to the party. He was very communicative throughout the process and planning via the online portal they provided access to was a breeze. On our wedding day he lit the space beautifully, and the music was great from cocktail hour through dinner and then a full dance floor all night.

Amazing team! Best decision!!

Team Sayles exceeded our expectations! During the stress of wedding planning, they put our minds at ease and most importantly joy and excitement on our wedding day. Amazing experience with team sayles!

TEAM SAYLES WERE INCREDIBLE! Julian and Janim were absolutely wonderful to work with from the very beginning. They are both warm, professional and put up with my millions of questions throughout my year and half engagement 🤗 On our wedding day we got so many compliments on the music selections and Janim was a wonderful MC. My husband and I really appreciated the authenticity that Team Sayles brings as well, not your typical “hype man” DJ and MC, which is really what we wanted to avoid. Our wedding day was perfect and this was in part due to the packed dance floor that Team Sayles made happen. Would absolutely recommend!

Thoughtful, organized, fun and easy!

Team Sayles knocked it out of the park for our wedding weekend - we hired them to manage sound for our 3-day barn-style formal country wedding, and they didn't miss a beat. All communications were professional, prompt, encouraging, and kept us on track to not be stressed during the actual wedding. They are a great team and approach topics from all angles. Julian integrated all of our sound and music requests into an incredible experience, and Janim kept the flow going, helped me manage our timeline, jumped in and helped us navigate family portraits during the reception, while Julian kept the party going. They had helpful recommendations based on a wealth of experience in all different types of weddings from super traditional to very creative. They provided the sound system, mics, and sound management for our ceremony and the live band that performed when I walked down the aisle. Honestly once they showed up at the wedding venue, I don't think we had to answer a single question from them - which was such a relief while getting bombarded with a million questions coming from every direction. They were prepared, super organized, knew how to navigate the venue and work with other vendors, and helped us have an awesome dance party. We would hire them again in a heart beat!

Beat team in the biz!

Team Sayles did a wonderful job of listening to us and matching our vibe, both before and during our wedding day. They answered all of our questions during the consultation with empathy and asked questions we would have never thought of. On the wedding day, complicated setups for sound we’re done perfectly by Julian, while Janim was a ringleader for not only is and our families, but all of the vendors as well.
Julian was impeccable as a DJ, picking the right songs at the right times and mixing flawlessly. I would absolutely recommend them for any type of wedding.

Team Sayles is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

Julian and his wife MADE the reception! He listened to absolutely everything we wanted and delivered above and beyond!
The lighting was so gorgeous when I saw it at our venue during our consultation I started to cry. I had no idea how much lighting can enhance a space and Julian truly is an expert.

The entire process is SO easy! Team Sayles provides a portal where you can do everything (map out the entire day, what songs you want when, literally everything!) You can even make your payments on the portal.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Team Sayles, from our gracious and wonderful MC (Julian's wife), their attention to detail, and the fact that everyone (young and old) was on the dance floor the entire evening.

Thank you for making my dreams come true, and helping us throw one heck of a party people are still gushing about!!!

Team Sayles is the best you are going to find! Julian and Janim are professionals that know how to bring the party. From the start of the planning process to the day of they were readily available and made you feel like you were their only client. Our guests never left the dance floor all night! Not only did they all comment on how amazing our DJ team was so did the catering staff and our other on site vendors. We opted to use the starry night detail on the ceiling of our tent which was a really fun extra touch.

Julian and his wife were amazing at every step! They were extremely responsive to our questions from the beginning and made an effort to setup meetings to speak with us about our thoughts and wishes for our wedding. He was flexible when we asked him if we could share Spotify playlists with him in order for him to get a sense of the vibe we wanted for each part of the wedding. He took all of our feedback and made the evening the best night of our life. Music was our number 1 priority because my husband and I love to dance and had grown tired of all of the normal “wedding music.” Julian took that idea and ran with it. We loved every song he played and many of our guests said it was the best DJ they had ever heard. I had really wanted to get a live band for the wedding, but I’m so happy we chose Julian instead. His wife comes with him to the wedding and she was such a help and allowed him to just focus on playing great songs. Thanks so much for such a wonderful night! You can’t go wrong with Julian Sayles!

Julian and Jamin did an amazing job at our wedding. They were able to keep the ceremony and reception flowing smoothly despite one aunt trying to add a dollar dance at the minute. They played music for all generations and kept the dance floor moving all night long. They even got another aunt to start a Congo line with her walker! Team Sayles made my wedding day a dream come true. In an interracial wedding it is more of a challenge to find music that includes everyone but Julian was able to have everyone on the dance floor regardless of age or race. Things weren't running the way they were suppose to on my wedding day but Julian and his wife were quick on their feet and made the arrangements necessary to change plans and act quickly. Lastly, everything was smooth, timing was perfect, speeches were made on time, everyone stayed on track. Having them on my team, on my wedding day, took away all the stress that I could have otherwise endured. The value was perfect, the lighting was exactly what I asked for, I could not be happier. Team Sayles was incredible! Every change, hiccup or twist that occurred they we able to keep on top of it! They were hands down our favorite vendor to deal with, and most responsive. Where to begin??? Team Sayles gives you an overabundance of confidence in their work that you forget you have to fill in the details. Although they do weddings year round, your wedding is special and they make it their sole duty to deliver a flawless execution of your event. Julian's level of professionalism and keen eye for details set him aside from others in the industry. It may be a detail you don't think it's important but Team Sayles will pay attention...Team Sayles makes sure everyone's name is prounouced correctly and that all those who have a role are very much aware and lined up ready for their cue to be in the spotlight. Team Sayles did an amazing job at feeling out the crowd in order to know what song to transition to and when to keep things hyped and when to tune it down. Team Sayles provided lighting for my music video. I had a very positive experience with Julian who helped me visualize the scenes for my video production. Team Sayles provided state of the art lighting in the ceiling, walls, and behind the bar. I was particularly impressed with his ability to choose light that fit the particular sentiment in the scenes. The light reds brought out the passion and the blues brought out the relaxation. I don't even know where to start. Julian and Janim are without a doubt THE reason our day and night was such a success. The whole process of booking, planning and executing the entertainment through Team Sayles was easy, accommodating and professional. Oh, and a BLAST! Julian keeps you so organized throughout the process, making life so easy for a busy bride. He creates a personalized portal to help keep you on track with music selection, add-ons, contract and payments (good for someone like me who leaves everything to the last minute). He checks in periodically and is very responsive to emails/calls. All team members are such friendly, easy going, sweet people who know the industry and know it well. We included lighting and slideshows in our package, which was such a special touch to the evening and so elegantly done. J and J keep it laid back, yet professional. They worked with the other vendors easily and flawlessly. Janim executed the emcee role perfectly. She also keeps tabs on you throughout the whole night, making sure you're not getting overwhelmed, ensuring that you are aware with whats going on and that you are having fun. I felt like she was my "wedding mom". Also, they put on a killer after party and played music until 2am (due to our venue agreement)- making it an insanely long night for them, but seriously made the night for us. I was so happy. J, J and their team looked like they were having a good time the whole night too- which makes the whole vibe better. I could go on and on. They were able to execute the ceremony music and sound system without any issues! No static, weird microphone glitches, or speaker problems. Absolutely professional and flawless. Team Sayles DJ'd our wedding this past September at the Bourne Farm in Cape Cod, MA. They were AWESOME, I really can't say enough about how great this duo was!! From the beginning, Julian was extremely responsive via email and he gave very clear instructions on how and when to provide him the information he needed. Their online portal system was super easy to use and kept all of our information very organized. Within a few weeks of the wedding, Julian and I spent about an hour on the phone going through wedding logistics. Julian was calm, friendly and thorough which instantly put me at ease. On the day of the wedding, both Julian and Janim made it a point to introduce themselves to me and my wedding party. Throughout the evening, Janim was an incredible host- well spoken, professional, and enthusiastic. Julian NAILED the song selections. Both of them did a great job of reading the crowd and were both flexible with any changes presented throughout the night. I can't thank them enough, they really made our reception that much better. Our guests begged them to stay!

One of the first vendors we started looking for after getting engaged was the DJ. We wanted someone who would not only care about the music, but also care about us as a couple and want to make our wedding personable and reflect us. We figured this search would take a while, so we started a full year and a half before our day. Imagine my surprise when we met our first DJ and hit it off so well we immediately knew that was it.
Julian is kind, warm, funny, and really listens to what you want your day to be like. Every little detail is meticulously thought out and gone over. His attention to detail is amazing and he is so fun to work with. His response time to e-mails/texts/calls is amazing. One night I e-mailed him at 11pm, he responded at 4am. You can just tell he cares about you and his work.
While working on our picture music videos, Julian would constantly send me updates, ask what I thought, listened to my tweaks and edits, assured me I wasn’t being annoying or overly obsessive. You can tell how much he loves what he does.
Janim in a wonderful huge part of Team Sayles as well. She made sure to go over pronunciations of all of our wedding party before the grand entrance. Think that’s not a big thing? I’ve been to so many weddings where people are mispronounced and you are sitting there thinking “wait, that’s not right…”. Like I said, with Team Sayles every little detail is thought of and gone over beforehand.
The night of the wedding couldn’t have been more fun, and I know a gigantic part of that is due to Team Sayles. Julian felt the crowd out and if something wasn’t working, he could alter a song and change it to something that would. The dancing never stopped. Janim handled the event seamlessly (even when the father of the groom surprised us all by pulling out an accordion) and made everything transition smoothly. Our guests loved the videos and the music. If you are looking for a DJ with heart and a true passion for weddings- go with Team Sayles!

We used Team Sayles Music & Lighting for our wedding at The Harding Allen Estate on June 6, 2015 and I honestly can't say enough about Julian and his wife Janmin. Throughout the whole planning process they were nothing short of amazing. From the very first meeting it was evident that they would be the only option for our DJ and lighting needs. In fact, our initial meeting was only supposed to be 30 minutes, but since we hit it off so well, we ended up chatting for almost an hour and a half.

Coincidentally, both Julian's and my family come from the same Caribbean island and the same is true for his wife and mine. We also have similar backgrounds so it was easy for them to assemble a mixed playlist of cultural tunes for both sides of the family as well as American for a very diverse crowd. We also wanted a true island vibe to the cocktail hour and he was able to produce that in its entirety by playing a mix of steel drum tunes, culture reggae and lovers rock.

They did amazing job with keeping everything on schedule and coordinating with the Venue. They also handled our uplighting which far exceeded our expectations. The venue featured all white roof and floor to ceiling drapery and once they saw pictures of what the reception area looked like, they were able to plan out an amazing lighting package that smoothly transitioned between our two wedding colors throughout the night.

Over the course of what was a bit over a year between booking and event date, we developed not only pure confidence in them but also a friendship and I would highly recommend them for any event.

Julian, the owner, was extremely professional and responsive! We were looking for music that was different then you usually hear at weddings and he was great at working with us to develop a list of songs that fit what we were looking for. At the wedding his wife was there assisting him and doing the limited announcements that we wanted made. They were great at accommodating last minute requests that I had and even came to find me before a song I requested was played. Julian was very aware of the crowd and played songs that got our guests up and dancing.

From the first moment we met Julian and through the entire process he was very helpful, personable, and professional. His outgoing personality and humor were two main reasons why we chose Team Sayles as the DJ for our wedding. When we started looking to book a Dj for our wedding we knew what we wanted up front. A Dj that cared more about the music and atmosphere than talking on the mic and cheesy props/schtic. Our search had us sifting through what felt like 100 vendors only to find the same tired, dime-a-dozen, "Cotton Eyed Joe" playing Djs. Just when we though we may have to lower our expectations we came across Team Sayles by shear fate. After our first initial meeting with owner Julian Sayles our faith was restored. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to create our perfect night.
As the process got under way I was floored by the proffesionalism and attention to detail. We recieved a personal online account where we could do everything from listing must play songs to tracking our invoices/contract. Julian and his team then began created a personal playlist and uplighting package that incorporated both of our preferences, which was no easy task given our tastes run the gamit.
A few weeks before the wedding Julian sent us a preview tracklist to show the direction he was thinking of going and the vibe he wanted to create. After confering with us and making a few tweeks he made a final outline for the night. Nothing seemed to much of a request. He was able to fullfill it all from straight oldies to mashups and remixes on the fly.
The night of the wedding we couldn't have been more pleased. He was very flexible, feeling out the crowd and playing accordingly. He has the experience and gear to accomodate any preference and situation. He also brought his lovely wife as his assistant. She was a wonderful addition. As he concentrated on making the music, she took requests and organized the specialty dances. We would gladly recommend Team Sayles for any type of event!

Julian was amazing. Attentive and really made the wedding special. I was trying to balance Latin and American music and he did an amazing job. He provided a great atmosphere for my guests and there was dancing all night long. He's not that cheesy DJ that hands out hats and whistles, he's truly a musical genius with a heart to make sure everyone is having a good time. He also did the lighting for the reception and he had a great feel for what would look good, location was a little unique with brick exposed walls and he provided the perfect lighting.

Team Sayles played the music for my wedding. I could not have been more impressed with their professionalism, flexibility, and overall quality of service. I hired Julian to be the DJ at my wedding and could not have been happier with that decision. Julian and his team went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs and requests were not only met but exceeded. He was extremely professional and very patient when it came to meeting with us to go over all of the details of the day. My husband and I were referred to Team Sayles by a trusted friend. I never realized how stressful and nerve-wracking wedding planning can be, especially being from out of town! Needless to say I was very apprehensive about the entire process, but Julian’s knowledge, intuitiveness, and creativity really set our minds at ease. Due to distance, our first few meetings were over Skype. However, after the first time I conversed with him I was very excited and enthusiastic about what he had to offer. I was also skeptical because his presentation seemed too good to be true, but I was wrong! He gave so much great feedback and ideas that even touched avenues outside his specialty! His thorough description of services, receptiveness to my wants/needs, and ability to make great suggestions...top notch. To be honest, it got to a point where I was consulting him more than I was my own wedding planner! He told me what to expect, but nothing could prepare me for the beautiful setup in person, it almost brought me to tears. He took the ideas and dreams I’ve had about my wedding from early childhood and made them reality (better than I had imagined!) This is what sets Julian apart from other DJ’s - you can really sense his genuine passion for his line of work, which strongly reflects in his overall performance. He felt more like a wedding guest than someone I was paying to be there. He went above and beyond the call of duty, and his professionalism is top of the line! But the most surprising thing was his innate ability to do what must be so difficult - satisfying the musical tastes of all of my diverse guests (many different nationalities, religions, and age groups). He found a way to mix it all in and make everyone happy! The dance floor was packed the entire time! All of my guests were commenting on how skilled he was and how well he interacted with the crowd. And the LIGHTING…A+! I could go on and on, but look no further than Team Sayles!

Julian was really great. He was able to accommodate special requests that myself and my wife had such as cutting up certain songs to play during certain parts of the ceremony. I can say that ALL of our guests were having a great time and that was due in most part to the amazing music being played. Team Sayles was really able to set the mood that we were going for and nailed it on the head. My wife could not be happier with the way things went throughout the night. Team Sayles was very responsive to all of our requests and extremely respectful of wedding guests. Also they pronounced everyone of our wedding party and family's names right, which I know can be a problem for some wedding DJ's. I would recommend Team Sayles to anyone planning a special event. We hired Julian to DJ our wedding on December 14, 2013. Choosing a DJ over a band was a big decision for us and we couldn't have been more happy with the outcome! Our challenge was that we had over 200 people at our wedding and because of the age range we were worried about everyone having a good time. Our friends and family cannot stop talking about how much fun they had at our wedding - they didn't even want to leave the dance floor to eat! In addition to the great music, we were so impressed with the other services he was able to provide - he also did our lighting. He worked with our color scheme and the lighting was beautiful and flattering. My hubby wasn't sold on it but afterward he even admitted it was worth it.

My wife and I hired Julian Sayles for our wedding DJ and we can’t praise his company enough. From his courtesy and punctuality for each of our meetings prior to discuss the details of sound, lighting, MC duties and music selection, up until the final event, he guided us through the process w/ the highest level of service, courtesy and professionalism. I’ll start with his music, which left an indelible impression with my wife and our guests. From dinner to the reception, he entertained with a broad tapestry of music that kept guests from every age and background engaged and delighted throughout the night. We needed a great DJ at an affordable price for our 10 year high school reunion last year and Julian Sayles really came through! He was on time, professional, efficient and knew EXACTLY what kind of music to play (we requested only music from our generation/high school years, and being a similar age, Julian really hit it on the nose!) You are probably not going to find a more outstanding DJ for your event than Team Sayles Music & Lighting. Absolutely the most fun and professional experience working with Julian. We had been to a wedding where the music was unreal, no one got off the dance floor all night and everyone still talks about how amazing the wedding and DJ was to this day. We knew that we wanted people to remember our wedding the exact same way and to have the same experience so we absolutely had to get the same DJ... and it was Julian! He takes the time to really get to know you, what you like, what you're looking for which completely makes all the difference in getting exactly what you want for your event. He met with us months before our event to get to know our personalities and taste, then would use Drop Box to send us samples of songs to make sure they were the exact versions we were looking for. He also took the time to find out what you did NOT want - which was huge for us. Being OCD about everything in my wedding, he just understood how important music was in making a wedding as memorable as possible and took the time to perfect details like that for us. Really made the experience a personal one. The day of, we couldn't have asked for more. Fun, upbeat and full of personality without being one of those over the top annoying, always on the microphone kind of DJ's. Team Sayles was perfection. Played the absolute most amazing music and without exaggeration, not one of our guests got off the dance floor all night. Would hire them a million more times for every party/event we have for the rest of our lives. They are on another level. Julian listens. He listens and absorbs, and then puts together a soundtrack that is custom to what you as the client want. He makes people move, dance, smile, enjoy life.

I hired Team Salyes for a high end wedding I was producing at the Four Seasons hotel in Boston. Julian provided excellent service for my clients by listening to their vision for their special day as well as adding input into the flow of the event. The clients loved the music at their wedding and it truly added to atmosphere of the event. I have worked with Julian on numerous events and can always count on him to deliver.

Did a wonderful job at our wedding. Our wedding was at a camp with the reception being split between a dining hall and a lodge. When determining what equipment we would need for both spaces he did not over sell us and also explained the multiple different ways he could move the equipment to save us money. One of the walls of the lodge was incomplete and drywall. Julian was able to use his lighting to make one of the wall look beautiful and classy without being over the top. Was very flexible with doing conversations over the phone since we were not in the region that our wedding was. Always responded to our emails and questions quickly and thoroughly.

My now wife and I contacted Julian about DJ'ing our wedding party literally six weeks in advance of the date (long story). I received Julian's name from a friend in Boston who recommended he and his team highly. My experience was perfect. His process was straightforward, his contract was fair and he was professional in dealing with the venue and figuring out all of the required sound system elements (we went sound only, no lights). Most of all though it was fun. He did a great job taking requests from my two tween daughters and their friends, everyone got on the dance floor and the pictures are awesome. If I had to do it again, he would be my first call. Seriously. Top notch (and I never write reviews...).

Team Sayles was amazing - we couldn't have asked for anything better. Our guests were up out of their seats dancing all night, just like we wanted. The way they used the lights completely transformed our room to really create a unique environment. Thank you!!!

Having you DJ at my parents' anniversary party was the perfect touch! Great music choices and prompt responsiveness to any requests. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a professional DJ.

I would highly recommend Team Sayles as a DJ! From the very beginning Julian was tentative and helpful in every way! He answered all of my silly questions and have us some great ideas when we didn't know what to do. I knew that I had nothing to worry about day of. He got people dancing all night long!
