Two beautiful weddings
We employed Teague Events for both our daughters’ weddings. Each event was different in style from the other but both were exactly what our brides envisioned. Stephanie was patient with all of us and knew exactly how to handle everything. Unfortunately, my husband died unexpectedly before the second wedding, which certainly complicated the whole process. Stephanie not only knew how to deal with this complication, but was there for emotional support as well. At the wedding itself we received multiple compliments regarding Stephanie’s helpfulness and professionalism. I sincerely recommend Teague Events for your event planning needs! -

You won’t find better!
You would be hard pressed for find a better planner than Teague Events and Stephanie. She planned my big sisters wedding about 11 years ago, so within days of my engagement my dad had already booked with Stephanie. Through the entire process Stephanie was amazing. She worked with my husband and I even with us being 2 hours away from her and our wedding being 3 hours away from each of us. Stephanie was able to take my hazy muddled “vibes” of a description and turned it into a beautiful vision.
When my dad died and my mom broke nearly ever bone in her body in a car crash just 4 months before the wedding Stephanie became even more valuable, not just as a planner but as a human. I didn’t know if I could move forward with the day. She had about 7 different plans in place depending on what I would need, be it pushing things back a year, cutting down the list, or canceling all together. Stephanie took a day that could have been filled with pain and made it stunning. She literally helped me make it down the aisle, and carved out the most beautiful moments to honor my dad all while keeping the day focused on the love my husband and I share.
It is not an exaggeration to say I genuinely love Stephanie. She is an incredible planner and a more incredible human. I’m so utterly thankful my memories of this special day all have her smiling in the background, making magic happen.-

Wedding Planner
We are beyond grateful for our Stephanie! She was incredibly flexible and calm under pressure, especially when we had to change venues last minute due to weather. What could have been a stressful situation turned into a smooth transition thanks to her organization and professionalism.
Her eye for design is truly spectacular—every detail, from the décor to the overall flow, was elegant and perfectly matched our vision. She listened to what we wanted and brought it to life in a way that exceeded all of our expectations.
Not only was she professional, but she was also warm, supportive, and reassuring every step of the way. Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without her, and we can’t recommend her highly enough!

Professionalism
Working with Stephanie at Teague Events was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the beginning, she was incredibly timely and responsive—always replying quickly and thoroughly to any question we had. She went above and beyond by joining us for vendor meetings and venue tours, even when her presence wasn’t strictly necessary, just to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. Her extensive network of vendor connections gave us high-quality options that fit both our vision and our budget. Stephanie also shared practical tips on how to keep things budget-friendly, which allowed us to save without ever feeling like we were cutting corners. Her professionalism and commitment made us feel supported and confident every step of the way.
Design & Aesthetic
Stephanie has very sophisticated and aesthetic taste, and she elevated the vision we had for our wedding day while staying within our budget (which was tight). She personally helped arrange the table decorations so that everything looked cohesive, balanced, and elegant. The overall design reflected us perfectly as a couple, and with her touch, it felt elevated, intentional, and beautiful. Every detail was thoughtful, and she managed to create a stunning look without ever straying from the financial boundaries we set.
Execution on the Big Day
When it came to the big day, Stephanie’s execution was flawless. She anticipated things we didn’t even know to think about—for example, our 95-degree heat could have ruined the flowers, but because she ensured each bloom had its own water source, the arrangements stayed fresh through dinner. Our decorations were exactly as my wife envisioned, but even more stunning with the little touches Stephanie added. She set up our welcome table with minimal instruction (literally just a messy sketch and a box of random pictures, flowers, and decor) and turned it into something beautiful. She seamlessly coordinated a surprise serenade I performed for my wife, ensuring it was timed and staged perfectly. Stephanie executed her job extremely efficiently without ever drawing unnecessary attention to herself, working quietly in the background to keep everything moving smoothly. Every detail was handled with calm precision, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the day.

Stephanie Teague is the best!
Stephanie is the best! We were working with Stephanie for almost 18 months to help us plan the best backyard wedding in the same location my parents got married 30 years ago. Stephanie was always available and quick to answer any questions or help solve any problems. We picked May because we assumed it would be an easy weather day but of course in CA you never know what is going to happen! About a week prior to the wedding we learned there may be some rain, about 3-4 days before we learned there was a chance it was going to be dumping for basically the whole day! Stephanie used her connections to secure us a LAST MINUTE tent for our 100+ wedding guest party and helped rearrange the entire layout to organize all of our reception tables to fit under the tent and not get rained on. Chances are, it was raining ALL day, so good thing we got the tent, the whole reception and dance floor area would have been ruined, but instead the design stayed perfectly dry. After the ceremony the sun parted and it was beautiful the rest of the day and we never had to worry about anything thanks to Stephanie. It was the best day ever. And we could NOT have done it without her. We would recommend her to everyone!

Teague Events is the Best
Stephanie and her team saved the day for my daughter's outdoor May wedding. While she was professional, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the planning process, her talents were put to the test Day-Of. With ever changing weather throughout the day, she closely watched the weather forecast to time final set up. Half hour before the ceremony it rained heavily, but she was confident it would pass with maybe a 10 minute delay in the schedule. By wedding time, the rain stopped, the clouds cleared and Stephanie and team scrambled to finish the final set up. While I saw and appreciated the hard work and dedication she put in to make everything work, the wedding party and guests only experienced a flawless wedding. Stephanie is not only extremely professional, she is also a caring person who will do what it takes to make your day the most special day ever. -

Great value and peace of mind for full service coordination!
My now-husband and I hired Stephanie for the full service coordination. We hired her in mid-December for an October wedding, leaving only about 10 months to plan. Although she was pricier than we were looking for, after doing extensive research she actually ended up being the most affordable for the most services! Other planners we looked at charged the same amount as Stephanie's full-service package for half the work. In the wake of COVID-related wedding postponements, many venues were fully booked, but Stephanie did a great job in finding us unique venues to explore that matched our desired wedding aesthetic, and she found us a perfect place. She also recommended great vendors, did an amazing job at keeping track of contracts, due dates, and keeping us on track for who we should be booking when, what we should be buying, etc. She always responded to our questions in a timely manner and was great about communicating if she needed more time to respond (for example, if I texted her a question but she was running another wedding, she would let me know that and would let me know when I could expect a response). Stephanie provided lots of insight as to where we could get certain things we wanted for our wedding (votives, sparklers, etc). We had a Star Wars & Harry Potter themed wedding, and Stephanie did a great job of incorporating this in a subtle and beautiful way.
The day of the wedding, Stephanie made sure all the vendors arrived on time, coordinated set-up and breakdown of everything, and left my husband and I feeling calm and confident on what we've heard is a very stressful day! She oversaw everything, dealing with any problems as they arose, and I never even saw or hear about the hiccups until well after the wedding, which was perfect because it let me truly enjoy my special day. She was able to figure out my complicated bustle when my MOH had to drop out of the wedding, kept everyone on time, and even helped us secretly figure out our photographer's favorite song so we could play it for him to dance to!
With both of us working high-stress full-time jobs, I'm not sure how we would have made it through the wedding planning without Stephanie. She's meticulously organized and really helped bring our vision to life, and we had the absolute best day ever. Over six months later we are still hearing from guests how fun our day was and that it was one of the best weddings they've ever attended, and we know it was in large part thanks to Stephanie. -

Stephanie is amazing! She designed and executed our dream wedding. We went with her full planning service and it was worth every penny! The wedding was like a dream come true. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She used her expertise to guide us throughout the process and introduced us to amazing vendors. Stephanie assembled the perfect team for us. Stephanie was our planner for our wedding in September 2022. We hired her as a partial planner. Since hiring her about 10 months before the wedding, she was constantly in communication, organized, and prompt with every task we needed to complete. She designed a beautiful proposal for us to help out vision come to life. She gave us amazing ideas and helped to adapt certain ideas in order to fit within a budget. She coordinated with all of our vendors to alleviate the load and stress we were experiencing while in the thick of planning. This was all before our special day.
On our special day, she made the day seamless. The decor, the organization of all the vendors, the timeline of the day; it was all just breathtaking and perfect and we could not have pictured a better day. We are so grateful to have had Stephanie as our planner for our special day!-

We Owe It All To STE!
My wife and I could not have asked for someone better suited to plan and organize our big day! Our wedding was far from simple, and wedding/event planning is not a realm we had much experience in. Somehow, the stars aligned, and we hired Stephanie as our wedding coordinator. We knew this would be an important step, but in retrospect Stephanie was absolutely pivotal in ensuring that the most important day of our lives was more beautiful, fun, smooth & scheduled than we could have ever imagined.
Not only is Stephanie incredibly prompt and easy to talk to, she is incredibly knowledgeable and hands-on in every step of the planning process. From providing a simple yet thorough written checklist catered to our wedding specifically, connections with the best vendors at the best prices, sitting in on vendor meetings and asking important questions we'd have never thought to ask, all the way to leading a well-organized rehearsal and working her butt off on wedding day, there is absolutely no doubt we could have had such an incredible wedding without her professional help and assistance. This made our daily lives so much easier the entire time, and we always looked forward to our next meeting with Stephanie. Seriously - as someone who was hesitant about a coordinator at all in the beginning - STE is worth every penny and more. -

Amazing experience!!
Stephanie Teague is, in short, a God-send.
Her attention to detail, her clear communication, and her preparedness-for-any-situation made her worth every single penny. To be perfectly honest, when we were going in to our first meeting/consult with her, I was having difficulty understanding exactly why we even needed a planner. When we left that meeting, I couldn't understand how anyone can get through a wedding without one. I would say that pound-for-pound, she was the best money spent on the entire event and I say that without hesitation or exaggeration. She made our day so special and took so much off of our plates. She easily handled issues ranging from sticky family situations to groomsmen needing safety pins and lint rollers. She sees every detail.
Stephanie coordinated with all of our vendors. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there. She kept our wedding right on schedule down to the minute. She and her staff also packed up all of our decor, floral, and everything we brought on site (there was a lot) in an organized and beautiful fashion so it was easy to load out. And she even put me in my place a couple of times :)
We couldn't be happier with the job she did. She's an absolute wedding ninja. -

The perfect wedding (in a pandemic!)
Stephanie made the wedding of my absolute dreams come to life during a time when I didn't even know if we would HAVE a wedding (May 2021). We had to reschedule 3 times and ultimately move the venue to a private family residence in Santa Rosa.
Stephanie has unbelievably impeccable taste and brought in the most incredible, talented vendors to bring it all to life: the florist, the mobile bar, the catering, the bakery, all of it was TRULY magical and it was like seeing my perfect Pinterest board vision right in front of my eyes. I honestly still can't even believe it when I look at the photos, and the reviews from friends and family were OVER THE MOON. We've consistently heard that it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever attended, and that the food/drink was phenomenal (I know they *say* that doesn't matter, but we're big foodies).
She was so patient and flexible during the pandemic, too, and made sure to talk me off a ledge a couple of times, share her experiences as events happened, follow the latest safety recommendations, and gave me plenty of options for moving forward. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that during such a time of uncertainty. Even with the reschedules and relocations, she made us feel really taken care of (whereas our original venue wanted to charge us to reschedule, etc.).
My only regret, honestly, is that I only opted for a partial coordination instead of full coordination. Because of that choice, my husband and I had to take care of/stress over quite a few details the day before and the day after (like rental deliveries or garbage). I wish I had just gone all-in with Stephanie, or had more conversations or opportunities to sort of 'upgrade' the package. Part of it, as well, was that the venue was a family residence, so I ended up needing to do a lot of coordinating with said family! Just do yourself a favor and commit to the whole thing. ;)
All in all, we were absolutely thrilled with how the wedding turned out, and I can't reiterate enough how truly beautiful it was or how kind and creative all of the vendors were (and we would have never found those on our own). And during the wedding itself, we felt fully taken care of and she did an amazing job keeping everything on track and on time. Even when the temperature suddenly dropped out of nowhere, Stephanie helped us with a last-minute move to help make all of the guests more comfortable.
I am so grateful for Stephanie's time and talent, and still in complete awe a year later that this ceremony and reception were ours; it truly feels like a dream.-

INCREDIBLE! I could have never made it through my wedding day without Stephanie and her team!
Oh man, it’s hard to even put into words what Stephanie and her team did for me on my wedding day. She was the person I looked to when I felt overwhelmed, the person who bustled my dress for me not once but twice (bless her for her patience), she was the person who sewed my MOH into her dress when it tore on the way to the aisle, she was the person who helped my dad with his tie and most importantly, she was the person who I trusted wholeheartedly, to execute my wedding vision. If you’ve ever seen the movie The Wedding Planner, Stephanie is 100%, Jennifer Lopez. She created an incredibly detailed day-of timeline for us, she handled all of the vendor details, she made sure that I had everything I needed as a bride and she really was the unsung hero of the night. I could never have made it through the day without her and her incredible team. If I could give them a 10/10 I would. I cannot recommend her enough. I hope one of my friends gets married soon and uses Stephanie just so I can interact with her again. She’s everything I thought she’d be and so much more. -

You can't go wrong with hiring Stephanie!
Stephanie is amazing! We hired her as our month of coordinator for our small wedding. Even before the "month of" she was helpful in answering questions and referring vendors. Since our wedding was during COVID, we didn't meet until the month before the wedding but right when we met her, she put us at ease. Stephanie is so warm, personable and on top of it! In the weeks before the wedding, she took care of everything and made sure we were on track. She is great with details - she recommended a few details that I hadn't thought of but made such a difference. I didn't have to contact vendors the week of the wedding because Stephanie was in contact with everyone and coordinating it all! It was such a relief. Our venue was difficult to work with at times and Stephanie handled everything the day of with such grace. Stephanie helped set up everything for the wedding and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! She goes above and beyond to make sure your day is gorgeous. I highly recommend her! -

Stephanie is Amazing!
Stephanie was a life saver. Although she couldn't attend the rehearsal and event day of, up until that weekend she was amazing and her coordinators day of were great too. I was a bride, planning a wedding out of state and had only 4-5 months before the big day. Stephanie came in to save the day, not only with the amazing vendors she was able to book for me but also the details and follow up!! Highly recommend!!! -

The best wedding planner!
If you’re still looking for a wedding planner, then look no further because Stephanie is who you want and need for your big day! We hired her as month of coordinator but she still helped us well before that with any questions I had about potential vendors and advice. She is truly the best at what she does. She is patient, kind and will make sure everything goes smoothly and if something isn’t, she isn’t going to let it show which will definitely help you and your fiancé keep the nerves down.
If I had another event, I would hire her immediately. She is so organized, will make sure to get things done for you no matter the time of day and even answer the millions of questions you may have about the smallest of things. During your wedding, she will come in to help and get everything ready like the decor, vendors in the right places and will even give you gum if you need it! She thinks of everything and will never come to you about anything besides getting you ready for the next thing on your timeline - her timeline by the way is so detailed it’s amazing! I don’t know what I would have done without her… she really made the planning process and the day of go by so smoothly and effortlessly. I can’t recommend her enough! -

Stephanie is so awesome!
We are incredibly grateful to have had Stephanie as our Month of Coordinator for our wedding this past weekend. She's incredibly professional and was a tremendous help in making our wedding beautiful. She was flexible and had begun working with us weeks prior to the one month mark of our wedding since we had our venue walk through scheduled two months out.
We could tell that she's a highly experienced planner/coordinator. Although my wife and I had thought of a lot of the details of what we wanted, Stephanie still asked us questions that made us realize that there were many little things that we hadn't thought of. And through the entire meeting, she assured us that it was still our wedding, and that we could do whatever we wanted....and so we did! It helped us cut out the parts we didn't care for and create a unique and fun wedding that many of our guests hadn't experienced before.
Stephanie also has an incredible eye in design. We had a vague idea of what we wanted in terms of the decor layout, I wasn't exactly sure how it would all come together. Somewhere in my gut, I still felt like we hadn't thought it through enough or that maybe our idea wasn't realizable based on what we had purchased for decor (our venue was a beautiful blank slate, and so we pretty much had to decorate many aspects of the ceremony and reception). We handed Stephanie our boxes of decor, and my chicken scratch of blueprint sketches of where we wanted things to generally be with fingers crossed. When I walked into the venue on the day of the wedding, I couldn't believe how incredibly beautiful Stephanie had transformed that room. It was perfect! Our ceremony, sweetheart table, and dessert bars was more than what we could've imagined them to be. If I already had my wedding photos ready (it's been less than a week since the wedding), I'd post them here for all to see.
We couldn't thank Stephanie and her assistant for the work they've done. From texting us heartfelt messages of encouragement the morning of our wedding day to going out of the way to ensure my bar was still stocked (since my friends were drowning themselves in bourbon and whiskey), Stephanie is the extra friend and sidekick you need so that you can truly enjoy the party and not worry about anything else. The perfect wedding planner!
To say I had anxiety about executing our backyard wedding while also GETTING married is an understatement. Stephanie helped ease my concerns, provided amazing suggestions and held my hand every step of the way. During our initial meeting I took her through the proposed wedding space and she had so many fun and unique ideas I had never thought of, and was very intent on helping the day feel very “us” instead of a day copied off of pinterest. She set up meetings with vendors, provided menu ideas and pricing, and helped this indecisive bride-to-be tie everything together. I cannot express enough how supportive and patient Stephanie was with me through the entire process. Although our wedding was cancelled due to COVID, I hope to pick up right where we left off once it is safe to do so. -

Stephanie is an amazing wedding planner/coordinator
We are incredibly grateful to have had Stephanie as our Month of Coordinator for our wedding this past weekend. She's incredibly professional and was a tremendous help in making our wedding beautiful. She was flexible and had begun working with us weeks prior to the one month mark of our wedding since we had our venue walk through scheduled two months out.
We could tell that she's a highly experienced planner/coordinator. Although my wife and I had thought of a lot of the details of what we wanted, Stephanie still asked us questions that made us realize that there were many little things that we hadn't thought of. And through the entire meeting, she assured us that it was still our wedding, and that we could do whatever we wanted....and so we did! It helped us cut out the parts we didn't care for and create a unique and fun wedding that many of our guests hadn't experienced before.
Stephanie also has an incredible eye in design. We had a vague idea of what we wanted in terms of the decor layout, I wasn't exactly sure how it would all come together. Somewhere in my gut, I still felt like we hadn't thought it through enough or that maybe our idea wasn't realizable based on what we had purchased for decor (our venue was a beautiful blank slate, and so we pretty much had to decorate many aspects of the ceremony and reception). We handed Stephanie our boxes of decor, and my chicken scratch of blueprint sketches of where we wanted things to generally be with fingers crossed. When I walked into the venue on the day of the wedding, I couldn't believe how incredibly beautiful Stephanie had transformed that room. It was perfect! Our ceremony, sweetheart table, and dessert bars was more than what we could've imagined them to be. If I already had my wedding photos ready (it's been less than a week since the wedding), I'd post them here for all to see.
We couldn't thank Stephanie and her assistant for the work they've done. From texting us heartfelt messages of encouragement the morning of our wedding day to going out of the way to ensure my bar was still stocked (since my friends were drowning themselves in bourbon and whiskey), Stephanie is the extra friend and sidekick you need so that you can truly enjoy the party and not worry about anything else. We had ZERO stress. Because of her, we really did feel like it was the best day of our lives. From the bottom of both our hearts, THANK YOU STEPHANIE! -

Two weddings, one day, in the Bay. All made easy because of Stephanie Teague
My (now) wife and I embarked on an 11-month planning journey that was ambitious and complex. We wanted to have two ceremonies, a smaller American ceremony and a much much larger Laotian ceremony—both in the East Bay but at different locations. Compounding these difficulties was that we live in Sacramento. Compounding it, even more, were the constraints that the family placed on us particularly for the Lao wedding.
As we began the planning stages ourselves we realized….that we were naive and couldn’t plan this on our own. After a few searches, we came across Stephanie Teague Events. The awards that she won and one of her weddings being profiled on TLC suggested to us that she could tackle these two weddings. After we sent an initial email, she said that she felt confident that she could make our vision a reality. She didn’t hesitate or have concerns with the constraints and parameters we were looking for and that she would encounter. We chose her to be our full wedding planner from start to finish.
Stephanie made the entire process so much easier than it would have been otherwise. She coordinated venue visits and brainstormed lists of venues when our first round of venues didn’t meet our expectations. Ultimately, we chose two venues that perfectly fit each ceremony—one of which we would have never considered if we did it on our own. Within two months of contracting with Stephanie we already agreed on the bigger parts of the wedding like location, food, desserts, rentals, décor, and flowers. It truly opened up time for us to focus on the smaller things like paperie, programs, RSVPs, etc. She constructed seating charts and floor plans for each wedding and documented an extremely detailed timeline. She was an advocate for us during meetings between us and family, she kept us on track with our budget, gave us her constructive feedback, and was always always always responsive. He even took multiple hours out to meet with family and patiently put up with the demands of both us and the family—offering compromises and raising concerns wherever was needed.
On the day of the wedding, she helped put out any issues behind the scenes and made us feel at ease—checking in on us and giving us options to pivot into different events when necessary. She also dedicated 20 hours of work that day, setting up at both venues as well as helping with take down. She made the vision that we had for the last four to five years a reality.
She has tons of experience and now can add Lao weddings into her portfolio of experiences ( we highly encourage Laotian folks to reach out to her!)
Stephanie is personable, realistic, organized, and sharp. She will be your advocate when speaking to vendors and family. She has an amazing eye for design and plenty of great connections with vendors in the Sacramento/Davis area.
So all that said hire her for your next event or your wedding! Thank you to Stephanie and her assistants for making our wedding day wonderful and relatively stress-free! -

The best decision I made in planning my wedding was hiring Stephanie.
Stephanie is a true professional and an expert at what she does. Her recommendations and advice made decision making so easy, and she never failed to give me good perspective and relieve stress whenever we spoke. She knows all the best vendors, and executes quickly and flawlessly. My wedding day came out more beautiful than I could have hoped, and she made sure I didn't have to worry about a thing. I highly recommend Stephanie! She is wonderful to work with and works on every last detail to ensure everything is just perfect to the vision of the bride and groom.
My daughter's wedding day could have easily not gone well due to the heavy rain storms going through..
Since there was no PlanB for cover/roof at the venue, Stephanie worked very long days and nights on the phone with me as late as midnight entire week before, getting all the changes in place, tenting and timeline changes while still managing to keep my daughter calm. Stephanie, as the rain came harder only worked harder to make sure the details of the cake table, guest tables, sweetheart tables, etc., were done exactly to the original vision of the bride and groom.
I cant thank her enough for making it all happen!

Stress Free Planning!
Stephanie was amazing to work with for our wedding in Davis. We wanted a relaxed and fairly non-traditional wedding and Stephanie delivered! We weren’t quite sure of what we wanted out of the day, but Stephanie was able to guide us and show us what needed to get done. Stephanie kept us on track when decisions came up, but largely took the reins and pulled off the perfect evening allowing us to enjoy a stress free planning experience. She provided us with multiple recommendations for everything including catering to photography. Stephanie and her staff were professional from day one. We highly recommend Stephanie for your event. -

Stephanie is simply the best!!
We hired Stephanie and her team as "day of" coordinators, meaning she came in about six weeks before our wedding at Scribner Bend Vineyards to put everything together. We hired Stephanie because she was so mature, calm and said, "my goal is to make you feel like nothing went wrong."
From our first meeting she had so much great advice, asked us things we hadn't even thought about, and helped us get our organization to the next level. She was so responsive to every email and text, advised us on vendors, answered many random questions, and when we got to be a few weeks out from the wedding, fully took over coordinating the venue and all the vendors.
The biggest gift you can give yourself on your wedding day (especially if you're already spending a good chunk of change) is to take the load of logistics and coordination off your shoulders so you can stay in the moment and enjoy the day. Stephanie took everything over seamlessly, did things I had forgotten to ask her to do, picked up details that I hadn't even had time to explain, and executed everything flawlessly. She took everything off our shoulders so we could be fully present and enjoy the day with family and friends, without worrying about the tiny details.
If you're on the fence about whether or not to hire a coordinator, do yourself a favor and HIRE STEPHANIE! She is the best of the best.-

Couldn't have done it without her!
Stephanie was an absolute dream to work with. I had the pleasure of working with her on two different occasions.
The first experience was for my sister's wedding which was taking place at our home. My sister found out two month prior to her wedding that the rental company she had planned everything with shut down. With barely anytime left, she had to start all over. Luckily, I found Stephanie and when speaking to her about the different services she offered, we decided to go with "The Month Of" coordination package. She came in and handled everything to do with the vendors. Fast forward to the day of the wedding- as 1 of 4 girls, I've had to be the sister of the bride a few times and this wedding went so smoothly because Stephanie had a handle on everything. Anytime there was an issue I simply went to her and that was it. I was able to enjoy my sister's wedding and more importantly. my sister was such a calm bride who could enjoy her own wedding. Not to mention, we are Pakistani so this meant Stephanie had to learn and tend to many customs and traditions we have in our weddings and she did great!
The second experience was for my own wedding. I decided to hire Stephanie with the "Full Coordination Package". I wanted everything to come together very smoothly so my whole family could enjoy the wedding as it was our last family wedding. Stephanie made sure that was the case. She worked with me from beginning to end- driving back and forth from the Sacramento to the Bay Area to find the perfect venue, helping me find vendors I wouldn't have ever known about, finalizing room blocks, finalizing decor details, working with the vendors (we all know just how much of a pain that can be). And once again, she had to understand and follow through unmanly customs and traditions we have as apart of Pakistani weddings. That included her helping out on the the Mendhi night in addition to the wedding reception. She went above and beyond! Everything went so smoothly and was enjoyable for the whole family.

Wedding Planner
I got engaged last October and quickly realized planning a wedding was not as easy as I thought it was going to be. In November, I started looking for a wedding planner. Stephanie was recommended to me by a long time family friend. I contacted Stephanie and we set up a time to meet. She was kind enough to drive to Sacramento and meet at an odd time in order to work around my job schedule. When we first met, I knew she would be perfect to help plan my wedding. She was very friendly, organized, and passionate about her job. She went over all of the packages that she offered and did not pressure us at all. Once we decided which package we wanted (we went with her Full Coordination package), the real wedding planning began. Stephanie helped us create a detailed budget for the wedding to help keep us on track which was extremely helpful when looking at different vendors. She provided us information on venues, vendors, and even clothing. She was available by phone or text whenever (and I mean WHENEVER) we had any questions or concerns. She attended meetings with us and even helped coordinate a lot of the meetings. She dealt with the stressful phone calls, contracts, and keeping up the timelines. She helped coordinate colors, linens, invitations, programs, menus, etc. She really understood how stressful wedding planning can be and did not judge me based on my wild expectations for my wedding day. She also was very honest with us and we always knew what to expect. I can 100% say that my wedding turned out PERFECT thanks to Stephanie. She made the day go so smoothly. She handled everything with such grace. Everyone, including my bridal party, loved her. We are so grateful to have met Stephanie and would use her in the future for any other big occasion. If you're getting married, you MUST hire Stephanie Teague.
When my fiancee, now wife, and I first contacted Stephanie for our Lake Tahoe wedding, we included the fact that this is a same-sex wedding. Her response: "I fully support everyone's right to marry the person they love!" To most people, that may not mean much, but to us, that was huge - to hear a wedding vendor so openly embrace our wedding was so emotional and reassuring - and we knew we found the right person to help plan our wedding.
From our first meeting via Facetime, Stephanie was very transparent and communicative. Every text message went answered, every request was followed up on. I was shocked when she would always say, "I'll do that for you," then have it done in less than 24 hours. Her level of professionalism is unparalleled. She made the final weeks of our wedding planning process seem smooth and manageable - our only regret is not hiring her sooner than two months before the wedding! During our wedding week, she was calm, organized, and on top of EVERYTHING. She arranged things I didn't even think of, packaged items I swore I'd forget, and followed up on the littlest details that I honestly didn't even remember because she was allowing us to enjoy our day. Her timeline was on point, her details were beautiful, and she was an absolute joy to celebrate our wedding with. Our wedding day was perfect because of Stephanie. I recently used Stephanie Teague for the “month of” wedding planner services and have nothing but great things to say about her! In considering our wedding planner options, my (now) husband and I met with at least five different wedding planners. While there were other venders that seemed decent, we learned that these many wedding planners don’t guarantee that they will be the actual wedding planner on the day of your wedding. For example, at the time that you book with them, that person may be available for your special date, but if a larger wedding that requires their attention gets booked after the fact, they will prioritize that wedding and assign you one of their employees/assistants. While they may assure that their staff members were just as good, we wanted to know exactly who we would be working with along the way as well as on the big day. An example that one wedding planner provided was that while she may be available on the day we book with her, if later on, she receives a request to be booked for a larger wedding at a nice venue that may be featured in a magazine, she is going to be attending that wedding instead and will assign us to one of her employees. When we booked Stephanie, we knew that there would be no surprises like this along the way. After meeting with Stephanie, we knew she was the perfect fit. Not only did the services she offers meet exactly what we were looking for, but she came off as a genuine and honest person. After working with her, we know this to be true.
On the day of the wedding, Stephanie was punctual, dressed very professionally, and was on top of everything! If any SNAFUs occurred throughout our special day, we have no knowledge of it because Stephanie handled it. She has great organizational and management skills. Stephanie was the perfect vendor for us! We have two different friends who will be getting married within the next two years and have already recommended that they consider booking Stephanie Teague! Stephanie was so helpful leading up to our wedding and on our wedding day! Our venue didn't take care of all the set-up and clean up, and Stephanie did all of this for us! It was a lifesaver. I cannot recommend Stephanie enough. Hiring her will be the best thing you spend your money on for your wedding. I don’t even know where to begin to gush about her. She is the absolute best. I hired her over a year and half before my wedding, and she helped me through every single phase of wedding planning. She is the epitome of organized, professional, badass, and friendly. She will make sure that you throw the wedding of your dreams- and stay in budget! Through every stage, Stephanie helped with budget planning and tracking, made sure payments were made on time, and even handled tedious correspondence with dozens of vendors so that way my life was so much easier. It was clear after the first 5 min of our phone consultation that Stephanie and my wife clicked. I barely got a word in. (It’s probably important to note that my wife is also a professional event planner, so she’s kind of a tough client). It was clear she wanted to help make our vision possible, but she also was going to give it to us straight. She asked probing questions. Other planners we talked with clearly had a prescribed list of questions we had to answer or focused on all of the wrong areas during the consultation. Stephanie brought a personal touch.
Stephanie was definitely worth her weight in gold when she set up a speed dating day of potential wedding suppliers. At the end of it all, we love every supplier we selected. I want to party with my DJ. I want to eat and talk food with my caterer. I want to just hang out with my photographer. Having great suppliers makes a great wedding and Stephanie knows great suppliers. (I never once felt pressure or was worried about kickbacks. She gave her honest critical opinion about each).
Our wedding venue was a privately owned 1920s house up in Tahoe. Beautiful, yes. A challenge, definitely. We were able to schedule a site visit with Stephanie to walk through our vision. It really helped. They saw that our vision was crazy and helped guide us toward how to execute it. I am so thankful she took the time to visit the site. I felt much more at ease the day of the wedding.
Stephanie also excels at “day of” execution. In addition to the challenges that came with our venue (ie- literally everything had to be brought in from external vendors and pass muster with the HOA), it involved multiple locations and lots of intricate details. At the end of the night, she made sure everything got cleaned up and trucked out, and even spent a little time tidying the staging cabin.
All-in-all, we can’t say enough good things about Stephanie. She truly made our [challenging] dream wedding a reality.

Stephanie came very highly recommended from a co-worker of mine who promised that we would be in good hands. She was right!! I cannot imagine a better wedding planner/coordinator. Stephanie took the time to really listen to my fiancé and me and then guided us to choices and options that were perfect for us. She thought of all of the things that would not have occurred to us (like corsages for our moms). She also has a voluminous collection of vendors that she has worked with that she can recommend from her first-hand experience, knowing that they will do a great job. We discovered we could completely rely on Stephanie's judgment in helping us decide what details were really important, and what extras were dispensable. Best wedding investment I made. Stephanie is fabulous! She took over, on the day of the wedding, and I couldn't have been happier handing over the reins. Stephanie worked closely with my dtr and her husband (they live out of state) to find out what was important to them. Contacted vendors, worked out problems juggled numerous food vendors, coordinated timelines with the photographer, videographer, large wedding party and guests.
That's just the tip of the iceberg. I was left to enjoy the day. The bride and groom were able to celebrate with family and friends...knowing every detail was in expert hands. Thank you Stephanie. -

As the bride, I was very skeptical to hand over the reins to my wedding and put the success of my day in someone else's hands but I'm so glad I decided to work with Stephanie. She pointed out details that I had missed and gave me options of ways to make it work and provided me with lists of vendors and materials to work with. She was thorough, punctual, passionate and made me feel like my special day was as important to her as it was to me. She handled everything that came her way with poise and confidence and took the stress of having 250 guest off of my back which allowed me to enjoy every moment of my day. Like I said, originally I did not think a wedding planner was needed but after working with Stephanie I am a firm believer that they are necessary and she is definitely the right person to work with. Stephanie is truly a gem and it was such a pleasure working with her. I would recommend her to any and everyone I know who's getting married and God forbid I get married again, I will be sure to seek her out! -

If you are searching for a wedding planner/coordinator, Stephanie Teague is the person to book. A day of wedding coordinator was required by our venue and the idea of forking our more $$$ made the search process stressful. I’m so glad we found Stephanie on the Knot. Stephanie was worth every penny. Her years of experience shines in her work and through her organization. After meeting with Stephanie we immediately knew she was the perfect person to coordinate our wedding because of her passion for Weddings and care for helping her clients. Stephanie is approachable. I never felt uncomfortable asking her questions via email or text. She always responded within the hour, most times immediately. On the day of, Stephanie and her team executed the set up of the wedding with excellence. We were hit with a heat wave, 106°, and Stephanie and her team efficiently worked through the heat without complaints and all with smiles. They made it look so effortless. The week prior, Stephanie quickly secured a last minute request for additional umbrellas to help shade our guest. She created a detailed schedule for the day of the wedding for our wedding party and our vendors.
Our venue was new and had never hosted a full wedding and having Stephanie’s expertise was key to our wedding being successful. Even though we had a few stressful moments of worrying, at the end of the day, we were relieved with the peace of mind that Stephanie was a pro and she would have the solution to any problems.
One thing I really appreciated was a personal heartfelt message she sent to me on the morning of our wedding. It comforted me and got me in the right mindset for the rest of the day! (thanks you, Stephanie.)

Stephanie was instrumental in helping us plan the kind of wedding we wanted. She helped me refine my creative/crazy ideas into something that could be pulled off realistically and within our budget. When there were aspects that were fundamental to my vision (having guests seated in a circle, a non-traditional interactive ceremony) she was open-minded and excited. She gave firm guidance when needed, and helped me manage a huge anxiety-provoking situation -- an outbreak of norovirus at the site -- that came up the day before we were to arrive. The day of, I completely trusted her to manage the many moving parts which she did, flawlessly. Stephanie is worth her weight in gold...and more! I cannot recommend her enough. My husband and I hired Stephanie in May 2015 to prepare for our June 2017 wedding. My husband had a postdoc across the country while I was finishing up my dissertation in Davis, and I honestly don't think this wedding would have happened without Stephanie. And not only did it happen, but the wedding was even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined because of Stephanie.
Stephanie is the most organized person I have ever met. She would always send these incredibly polite yet "let's get this stuff done" e-mail reminders about our timeline. If you and your partner are working full time while planning a wedding, then these reminders are HUGE. Because of Stephanie and all of her connections (and oh...does she have connections, and they often come with discounts for her clients!), we got all of our top choices for venue, DJ, hair/makeup, flowers, and much more.
If I haven't convinced you yet to hire Stephanie, let me share a quick story. My mom and sister flew to California to go visit Sugar Bowl (our wedding venue) with me before we put down a deposit and signed a contract. A few days after our visit, I contacted Sugar Bowl to put down our deposit and sign the contract, but was informed that the prices were increasing to a point where it was way beyond our budget. I was absolutely devastated and told Stephanie, and she immediately got on the phone and sent out e-mails to their manager to negotiate the prices they had originally quoted us, and they eventually honored those quotes. She fought for us and had our backs every step of the way. Because of Stephanie, we were able to still have our dream wedding venue that was within our budget. -

Me and my husband were married in June of this year, and had the pleasure of working with STE as our wedding planner. We chose the partial coordination package and it was absolutely perfect for what I needed. We had already selected some vendors, and I truly enjoyed having hands on participation in the planning of my wedding, but I could have never done it without her. From the moment we signed our contract, I felt like I no longer had to worry, and I was in good hands.
One of the best things about working with Stephanie was how quickly she ALWAYS responded to me! It was usually within minutes, and she was always happy the help or share her experience with me. This was so helpful. I loved being able to bounce all of my ideas off of her.
I love that she always encouraged me to find what was important to me, or special to me, or what I liked. In planning a wedding, so many other people come into the picture, and for me it was easy to get caught up in what "should" be done, or what other people might expect or like. There were certain things that she would strongly recommend, but the decision was always up to me, and I appreciated that I felt supported in whatever that was.
Stephanie was great to work with in the months leading up to our wedding, and her and her assistant were nothing short of that on the day of either. My vendors had nothing but great things to say about her, and my guests all commented on how well the event flowed, which was thanks to her well crafted timeline. I never had to worry about a thing on my wedding day which is priceless!

I contacted Stephanie Teague and knew immediately that she had all the qualities of an exceptional wedding planner. During our first meeting her passion for what she does was evident. She is organized, creative, resourceful, patient, knowledgeable, detail oriented, communicative and a problem solver. Stephanie was always conscious of our budget and worked with several exceptional vendors to realistically keep our expenses in-line.
From the very beginning, Stephanie focused on the most important aspect of a wedding, that being all about two people committing their lives to one another. She spent great amounts of time getting to know what we liked, what was important, what our “must haves” were, and helped us organize our thoughts. In the end, we had everything we wanted and then some.
When we had a great idea, Stephanie knew how to make it sparkle. When we thought we had finished every detail about one thing, Stephanie added the nitty-gritty. When emotions ran high, Stephanie was the calming wind. When our vision became cloudy, Stephanie helped us see the way. When obstacles arose, Stephanie worked around them with ease.
Our wedding day was overcast and lightly raining. None of our 200 guests noticed or cared, as Stephanie somehow made it almost unnoticeable. Everyone, especially the bride and groom had an exceptional day filled with love and happiness. We used two different venues. Stephanie expertly planned every minute of that day from 8 O’clock in the morning until midnight. She is tireless and dedicated to each task at hand.
Simply put, we felt heard and that Stephanie understood our vision from the very beginning. You will not find a better wedding planner.

I couldn't possibly list the ways that Stephanie made our day a perfect one. We were humming along with our own planning and then began to realize that there were a lot of things that we were probably missing or that we didn't know how to execute. On top of that, we planned a non-traditional wedding. We contacted Stephanie for her day-of services (which is way more than just the day-of). She was able to step confidently into place and helped us shape the flow of the wedding and made sure we had a great mix of traditional and non-traditional touches. On the actual day-of, Stephanie and her assistant were amazing!! They never stopped moving for over twelve hours. She knew what to do and when to do it. She kept the event running smoothy and made sure we stuck to our timeline (which she had helped us create - who knew that you needed a timeline?!). She decorated the dining tables, reception area, and s'mores table beautifully. She dealt with all of the vendors. And she did it all perfectly! There wasn't anything that I would have changed! There was NO WAY that we could have pulled our wedding off without such a great coordinator. I am so glad that we found Stephanie and you will be too! -

It's New Year's Eve and my now-husband and I are sitting here having an intimate night reminiscing about all that we've had to be thankful for this year. Complete truth- I am so thankful for Stephanie and her team for giving me the most beautiful and stress-free wedding day a bride could ever ask for that it literally got me up off my couch out of my dreamy state to write this review.
Stephanie is a treasure. Looking back, there was no greater gift that I could have been given (aside from an incredible husband) than a stress-free, drama-free, anxiety-free, and issue-free wedding day. As soon as I spoke with Stephanie on the phone the first time I instantly felt better about the entire production of my wedding and that was a recurring pattern throughout my planning process. Stephanie proactively planned, coordinated, and problem-solved all details of my wedding to seamless perfection, and if I ever had a worry she was there to make me feel instantly better. On the days leading up to my wedding, all of my family, friends, and bridesmaids kept saying to me - "You're so calm. How are you so calm? You're such a calm bride!" While I'd like to take credit for this but it was 100% because of Stephanie.
Stephanie is super professional, bright and responsive (VERY responsive... she always got back to me way faster than I thought was reasonable). She's kind and supportive, reassuring, positive and has a knack for advising you while being totally respectful of your vision, priorities, and ideas. She knows what she's doing.
I wrote a very very long list of examples of ways in which Stephanie impressed me (and it would still only be a tiny sampling compared to the countless total list) but this website is only letting me post 2000 characters. So, all I can say is THANK YOU Stephanie. I would trust her with my life and I am shamelessly begging all of my engaged friends to book her so that when I'm a bridesmaid I can just sit back and relax!! :)

When we first met Stephanie we were only 7 months away from our September 6th wedding date, with 150+ guest list, and not one item checked off our “to do” list. My husband and I had our wedding in Lake Tahoe in August. That could not have happened with out all of the hard work and talent of Stephanie Teague and her company. My husband and I are in the military and were both deployed in the months leading up to the wedding. Stephanie and I communicated by email mostly to book vendors and come up with an overall concept for the wedding. I was a little apprehensive at first about not having the opportunity to meet any of the vendors prior to the wedding or see the venue (my parents did check it out for me though), but that was quickly alleviated by Stephanie's professionalism, knowledge and creativity. She did an amazing job putting together design boards, giving me lists of excellent vendors within my budget and was very responsive to any changes I wanted. The day of everything was beautiful and went flawlessly. Many of the guests approached us saying it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had been too. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and very professional wedding planner. She is also very reasonably priced compared to some other companies. -

And most of all, a joy to work with. The planning was smooth. The wedding day was smooth. She gave us great advice and helped us along the way (we used her "month-of" wedding service). without even batting an eye Stephanie was able to pull off an AMAZING wedding for me (and trust me, I wanted some unusual things). What makes Stephanie stand out is how creative she can be while still keeping the brides interests first. When searching for a wedding coordinator earlier this year, I was very disappointed by the reviews that I read. All of the reviews were exactly the same for every wedding coordinator. Needless to say they were not helpful.
Every wedding coordinator will help make sure that you enjoy your big day and don't have to worry about all of the details. But here is what differentiates Stephanie Teaugue:
She is extremely responsive, I received a response to all of my emails and questions within a day. She will help you envision your day step by step and identify areas that need attention. She will ensure that your dream comes to life and she will work tirelessly through all of the roadblocks you encounter. She will be flexible and adaptive to make your day runs smoothly. And, yes she will make sure that you have a wonderful time at your wedding.

Hiring Stephanie as our wedding planner was one of the best decisions we made. Early on in the process we became overwhelmed by the multitude of things necessary to execute a wedding, and work full time. Stephanie stepped in and helped us to get things managed. She is incredible organized and helped us to see our vision for our wedding. She found the perfect vendors for us and kept us on budget. Throughout the planning process she was very prompt in returning messages and helped us with all of the decisions and little bouts pf panic along the way. I love her incredible attention to detail as well as her ability to be professional and firm with anyone who was getting out of line. Because of her we were able to have a stress free day. I don’t think we had a single problem on the day of our event. Our guests all had a wonderful time and commented on how beautiful and smooth the day was. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. -

Through every step of the process, Stephanie was there to get me through it (turns out wedding planning wasn't all fun and games and I was in seriously way over my head!). She kept my stress level down, kept all our vendor contracts in order, dealt with all the logistics that overwhelmed me and helped me have fun through the process.
The day of, if anything went wrong, I have no clue what it was... exactly what you hope for from an event planner!

Hiring Stephanie as our wedding planner was the best decision we made! She is such a pro. Stephanie is totally organized and has been in the business long enough that she has tons of connections with local vendors. She thought of all the little details that we would have completely overlooked if it wasn't for her and she's really good with keeping the budget on track.
One thing I really love about her is that she pays tremendous attention to detail. She also had no problem being firm, yet cordial, with the manager when - a week before the wedding, during our final meeting - our venue tried tacking on several extra charges that weren't previously discussed or put in writing. If it wasn't for Stephanie, we would have ended up paying a lot of extra money that we shouldn't have.
She also has great vision and awesome suggestions when you start feeling overwhelmed and aren't really sure what you want - whether it's food, flowers, overall decor, and even little details like how you want the reception to play out. Stephanie gets it done! She stays on top of everything and is fun to work with. We are so glad we hired her to help with our wedding.

With Stephanie's help, our wedding was completely stress free. During the planning stages she was very responsive and flexible with any changes we made. She did an amazing job finding lodging for our guests. She scoured the area for hotels and B&Bs, read their reviews, and compiled a list with descriptions of each hotel. She also saved us a lot of time by handling all our rentals and communicating with all the vendors to make sure everything was taken care of. She was booked on the day of our wedding, so she couldn't be there in person, but she made sure everything was organized so that the rental company, the caterer, and the venue staff, were all on the same page. I went back and forth for a while on whether or not to hire a wedding planner. I can honestly say now, I am so glad I did, and so glad I picked Stephanie! I hired Stephanie as our 'month-of coordinator'. She helped us to put together the schedule and coordinate with vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding, then she set up the entire reception decor and performed all manners of troubleshooting on the day of. My husband, David, and I hired STE to do the month of coordination for our wedding on October 15, 2016. Stephanie was fabulous! When rain was predicted in the forecast the week of the wedding and we had a tough time getting a tent, Stephanie called around a ton of places until she found a tent that could work and at the last minute re-arranged the seating plan for the entire event so we could fit everything in the space we had. I was a very anxious bride and with the changes late in the game I was not able to be as involved in the set up as I had hoped, but after the ceremony when I walked into the reception a wave of relief hit me. Stephanie and her staff did an INCREDIBLE job setting everything up in a way that was both functional and lovely. It was more than I could have hoped for. Working with STE kept us organized and on track and helped minimize our stress and we are very thankful they were there to assist with our big day! -

We barely know where to start… Stephanie was a ‘splurge’ for us, mostly because we were going to be out of state for most of our wedding planning, but she ended up being the best investment we could have ever made. Stephanie always felt like family and did nothing but help and mentor us at every step of our planning process. Stephanie is the epitome of professionalism. Whenever a question arose, Stephanie would get back to us within the day, if not sooner. We had so much pressure taken off of us throughout the entire process with Stephanie’s style of listening to what we wanted, and they narrowing down the hundreds of overwhelming choices to just a handful of manageable ones. She always would give her advice and honest opinion, which is much more than we can say for a lot of vendors. Without Stephanie’s guidance we would have never had the perfect day that we did. Our wedding was almost a soggy affair, but Stephanie always assured us that rain or shine our wedding was going to go off without a hitch, and she was right. My wife and I were able to enjoy our wedding night without worry knowing that Stephanie’s endless planning was taking care of everything from timing with the photographer, to DJ introductions, and coordinating dinner service. As my wife and I sit here six months after our special day, we both agree that Stephanie was single handedly the most important piece to our big day going how we had always imagined. Like many other things in life, we thought we could juggle life and planning a wedding AND enjoy it all at the same time, but little did we know that without a planner - we were wishfully thinking! My Husband to-be and I hired STE for Partial Coordination early on in our wedding planning. Getting married at the Old Sugar Mill, we knew we needed help when we discovered we only had one (1) hour to decorate and set-up our entire reception space!! STE was a HUGE help and very supportive in hiring and communicating with our vendors. Throughout the entire planning process, Stephanie was available to answer all questions I had. I appreciated her timeliness and professionalism; she always made me feel calm and collected. My Husband-to-be and I wanted to feel like guests at our own wedding and not like busy crazy hosts, we really wanted to just be able to show up to our wedding and leave without worrying about set up or clean up, and working with STE we were able to make this happen! Most importantly, Stephanie listened to what we wanted and helped to execute our wedding day flawlessly. (THANK YOU Steph!!) If there were any crazy mishaps, we never knew about it and our guests were very pleased. Stephanie was extremely reliable and responded to us very quickly, whether it was a phone call, email or text. She was very knowledgeable of the business and gave us advice when we were clueless and still let us make our own choices - even if they weren't what she suggested.
Stephanie also went above and beyond, even after our wedding. We had problems with several vendors at the wedding, and afterwards she helped us resolve the issues and she advocated for us to get compensation for crappy service.
We would have been lost without her, she saved us time and money. Worth every penny. -

Poor Experience
We hired Stephanie to be our month-of coordinator and our experience was not excellent. It seems like Stephanie has been doing this a long time and just didn’t seem excited about our big day. Talking to her just stressed us out instead of making us feel calm. She put together a nice document with all the details and did catch one issue with one of our vendor contracts, but over all, we were disappointed. Here is what could have improved or suggestions for other brides:
On the wedding day, Stephanie showed up almost an hour later than we had discussed. Since she showed up right before everything actually started, things seemed rush and disorganized. She was not available to come to our rehearsal the afternoon before (even though she knew we had booked the venue for the entire day before). She sent an assistant who arrived 20 minutes late and by that time, we had finished most of the rehearsal. This was key - I would not hire Stephanie if she can’t be at the rehearsal.
I didn’t think the timeline she made us was great, and I wish I knew going in that it would be extremely important for her and my photographer to work on a timeline together so there would be adequate time for photos. Due to this timeline, by the time I got ready, there was no time to eat, make videos with my bridesmaids, or enjoy. It was sooo rushed. My bridesmaids sat around ready to go while I was getting my hair and make up done. It should have been flipped.
We also expected that she would direct the guests to stay in the “welcome area” while we were taking photos behind the scenes. However, our guests started trickling in, standing at the bar (and ordering drinks!) in another part of the venue, watching us take photos prior to the ceremony. Stephanie was nowhere to be found, so my uncle had to figure out how to get them to go back to where they were supposed to, and block their path to the bar. I almost had a meltdown at this point :) My Mom and Dad were running around finding people in our wedding party to line up which is exactly what I wanted to avoid. Although we had signs, it was clear that someone needed to welcome the guests.
Throughout the duration of the wedding, it was very difficult to find Stephanie. I had hoped she was taking care of things behind the scenes, but this didn’t seem like the case. I also thought she’d check in with me and my Mom throughout the night, but the only time she talked to my Mom was to tell her we had reached our bar max and which credit card to use. Even my wedding officiant remarked at how “absent” the wedding planner was.
She didn’t have the DJ set up speakers outside the barn so that guests could hear what was happening inside (for example- nobody really knew when we were doing cake cutting/ bouquet toss, father/daughter dance, etc. because of the speaker situation). The older guests sat outside at the dinner tables unaware what was happening inside the barn.
She did not direct the venue staff to pass out cake so nobody got cake unless they went inside to the dessert table. My parents never got to taste the wedding cake!
Although she was happy to hop up and help us, I often saw her sitting with the rest of her staff doing very little during the duration of the reception.
My number one request was that my mom wouldn’t have to lift a finger on the wedding day, but it seemed that my mom did more than Stephanie did. What really upset my Mom off was that Stephanie told her to bring lighters to light the candles since she “didn’t want the venue to take her lighters or deal with lighters that didn’t work”. For the money we paid, that just seemed ridiculous. What a shame.
Selecting your wedding planner is extremely important. Because of COVID we never got to meet Stephanie in person. That was a huge issue. I hired her due to her glowing references on Yelp. I’d call a few brides and chat with them before selecting your planner. -
