Best dj in somd!

Maurice and his team were the best DJ I ever could’ve asked for to DJ my wedding! There were 0 audio or sound issues throughout the entire day, the uplighting was perfect, and he kept the energy up for the entire day. Every single person I spoke to complimented our DJ and said he was the best wedding DJ that had seen at any wedding they had been to. I could not have asked for a better team to work with. Their communication was perfect and they were quick to respond to ever call, text, and email. The app they used was so simple and made song selection such an easy process, and easy to keep organized. They were so energetic and fun, I would party with them any time! 10/10 the most perfect day and so much of that is due to this wonderful team!

Stellar Job by an unforgettable DJ!

TCC Productions was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was clear, concise, and easy-going, which put us at ease throughout the planning process. The quality of their work was truly thoughtful, entertaining, and nuanced. They kept the wedding vibe alive and well by giving amazing commentary through every transition, and did an amazing job when transitioning songs during the ceremony and keeping the audience engaged during the reception. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ to help make our special day truly unforgettable.

Great Job!

TCC Productions was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Maurice was courteous, accommodating, and incredibly helpful in ensuring our special day went off without a hitch, even with last minute changes. The quality of his work was top-notch - he kept the vibes right all night with a high energy playlist, was incredibly time conscious in his set changes, and created such a pleasant atmosphere for all our guests despite delays in our schedule. We were so grateful for his intentional support and reliability throughout the planning process, and loved the custom monogram display provided that really tied the whole reception together. He even played tunes for us while cleaning up! TCC Productions truly helped make our wedding day a night to remember. Can’t top an MC & Dj combo! Thank you so much, we are so grateful!

Omg—our DJ was AMAZING!

He understood the assignment and delivered beyond our expectations.

Even though he asked for our input and allowed us to create our own playlist for the reception, we also gave him the freedom to do his thing—and he absolutely crushed it.

From the perfect timing of the music to hyping up the crowd, every moment flowed with energy and fun. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Our communication from day one was incredible. Just let him know that we needed to discuss some things and he immediately made it happen. Very easy to work with.

Maurice is an awesome DJ

TCC Productions was absolutely incredible for our wedding! Working with Maurice was a true pleasure, his communication was thoughtful and consistent, and he took the time to collaborate with us to curate the perfect soundtrack for our special day. He’s incredibly talented and met every request with professionalism and enthusiasm.
One thing that really stood out was his flexibility. Even when we had to make last-minute schedule changes, Maurice adapted with ease, something that’s no small feat for a DJ with a planned set. He even surprised us by playing a song that held deep meaning for my husband and me. It was an unexpected and beautiful moment that made the day even more unforgettable.
I can’t recommend Maurice highly enough. He went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. He’s not just a great DJ, he’s truly exceptional.

Highly, Highly Recommend!

We couldn’t have asked for a better host and DJ for our wedding! From the very beginning, Maurice was professional, attentive, and truly invested in making our day unforgettable. He kept everything flowing smoothly—from the ceremony to the last song of the night—and the energy was just perfect.

The music selection was spot on, the transitions were seamless, and Maurice knew exactly how to read the crowd and keep the party going. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor!

Not only was Maurice an incredible DJ, but also a phenomenal host—engaging, organized, and made every announcement with confidence and charisma. It honestly felt like having a friend in charge who just got us and knew exactly what we wanted.

An Amazing Night of Celebration

TCC Productions did an amazing job as our wedding band and DJ. From the very first conversation, Maurice was easygoing, flexible, and respectful, answering all of our questions and providing helpful guidance to ensure the music and entertainment perfectly matched our vision for the night. In days prior and week of, Maurice was a true professional and his energy made the atmosphere amazing. Maurice made it so easy for us to create our ideal playlist, and his entertaining presence gave us one less thing to worry about on our special day. We cannot recommend this company highly enough for any couple looking for an amazing band and DJ combo to make their wedding unforgettable.

Maurice is an awesome DJ

Maurice took the time to get to know us as a couple and what we like and what our goals were for our wedding night. He flawlessly mixed all of the songs we shared with him to create a seamless musical experience from start to finish. He was very observant and flexible and was able to get all the guests to enjoy the entire experience. I haven't seen my mother dance for close to 10 years and Maurice was able to get her jumping on her feet all night. He was a pleasure to work with and we have no reservations in recommending him to other couples.

Great Experience

We had an amazing time at our wedding. We are thankful to Maurice and his team for making the night flow so smoothly. We did not have an MC for our wedding reception so Maurice filled that role and was able to DJ and host well. There was a variety of music and the crowd was engaged. Very satisfied with their services.

Best DJ Ever

Along with the MC, he kept the crowd moving. Played relevant songs and kept it clean just as we had requested. Great service and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a DJ!!

Professional, positive, and very helpful!!

We are so glad we chose Maurice (The Covenant Child DJ) for our wedding. Maurice responded very quickly to our initial inquiry on wedding wire and after our first call we knew it was a good fit. Maurice was very helpful in planning our music and the timing for our wedding. He sent us a link to an application that he uses (called Vibo) that allowed us to input our song choices for different parts of the wedding (processional, recessional, cocktail hour, first dance, dinner music, dance music, etc.). This was incredibly helpful because the app lets you search songs from Youtube, Spotify, and Apple Music and upload it there. We are a couple from mixed backgrounds so having this was super helpful to include music that both of our families could enjoy and have a solid set of songs. We chose about 30 songs and let Maurice fill in the rest, and he did an absolutely amazing job filling out the playlist and choosing songs that got the guests dancing. He even did some research on Malagasy songs and included them at different parts of the wedding. He even did a custom mix for us for our first dance!

Maurice also helped out by suggesting timing for the different elements of the ceremony and reception. Maurice was very generous with his time during planning and really went above and beyond to help us plan the day.

On wedding day, Maurice was great. He was an active, lively DJ and was very helpful with announcements, keeping us on schedule, and getting the guests involved in the wedding. He led us through some different games, and played a perfect set of music.

Maurice did a great job reading the crowd and playing the hits that got different groups dancing. Toward the end of the night he played hit after hit and had us and our friends dancing... we didn't want to leave the dance floor!!

Thank you so much Maurice for everything, you were a huge part of making our wedding special and we will forever appreciate it!

Fantastic!

Maurice was fantastic to work with! We got a great deal on his DJ and Photobooth services. He provided regular/prompt communication leading up to our wedding. During the reception, he was flexible and quick to adjust to any changes in the agenda. Would highly recommend his services!

A Huge Success

Maurice and Omari helped to make my daughter’s wedding a huge success. They checked in with me throughout the evening to make sure they were fulfilling all our requests. The music was exactly what the bride and groom asked for, and announcements were made to guide our guests through each event. I knew Maurice was the one I wanted to reach out to, since he has so many positive reviews, and he responds in a timely manner. Covenant Child did an absolutely amazing job with my husband and I’s wedding! The music selection was fantastic and he was a pro at getting people on the dance floor. Best DJ hands down!!

DJ Covenant child was amazing for our wedding! We selected our preferred songs for first dance, father/ daughter dance, mother/son dance etc, then left the rest to DJ covenant child. It was perfect! The Dancefloor was PACKED and he played until the very last minute. The crowd begged for more after 😂😂😂. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be recommending!!

Delivered above expectations. Professional and a master of his craft.

Covenant child is consummately professional. His ability to play the right songs at the right time, to elevate the mood/energy, or calm it down was amazing. His knowledge of so many music genres from a variety of cultures meant transitions between songs and items on the agenda were seamless. His management of the audience when necessary was also polite and all done with a smile. I would not hesitate to either recommend or use him again for any event.

One of our Best Vendor Choices!

Covenant Child Productions was one of the best decisions for our wedding! We hired him to DJ and MC, and our families loved him! As an interracial and multicultural couple, we worried about how we could have genres like Classic Rock and Cameroonian Makossa played without sounding so jarring. However, Maurice did a fantastic job and our guests were dancing throughout the night!

He and his team were very patient and flexible with our requests. We contracted them for a photobooth which was a hit with our guests. We had so many requests regarding the photobooth printout (from major to minor ones) and Maurice made any and every change without hesitation. He provided suggestions where needed and was very quick to respond. Despite us taking our sweet time to respond to him, he was always prompt and courteous to us — responding to our emails within a few hours. Maurice was professional, kind, and on top of everything! We highly recommend his services and are happy to have had him DJ and MC our wedding. Thanks Maurice!

Best Dj ever. You won't regret it.

Best Dj ever!!! He was also the Dj for my wedding and my sister's wedding. It was nonstop dancing and he did not miss a beat! it was hit after hit! People legit did not want to sit down because he was doing such a good job!

Best DJ and EMCEE ever!

Maurice was very responsive and timely to my wife's and my questions regarding our wedding reception. He also made the last adjustments to the reception plan well to our requests and it went as smooth as it could be! Fantastic service

It was an absolute blessing to find Maurice on the Thumbtack app. I hired him to DJ my son’s wedding and he did an absolute fantastic job! Expenses were mounting and I didn’t have a day of wedding planner I did it all myself and when I interviewed Maurice I never felt such relief during the process that he knows exactly what he’s doing and he put my mind at ease. He truly came through for me and our event was wonderful! It was an outdoor wedding and he had to set up in two locations, one for the ceremony and one for the reception so with little to no direction at all he was completely on top of it! Our guest very much enjoyed his wonderful emcee persona and he kept everyone dancing! Even when the timeline was a little off he knew exactly what to do. Matt, Devin and I cannot thank him enough for making their special day so memorable! He’s such a kind and wonderful person that you’d love to work with for any type of event.

Amazinge DJ!

Dancing until the lights came on

Working CCP was amazing! Maurice was super nice from the moment I met him. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and responsive. When we were uncertain about music selections, he made great suggestions that fit our style. He even made a special mix for our first dance! All I can say is he kept the party going. We didn’t eat cake because me, my hubby, and our guests were on the floor dancing all night until the lights came on.

Worth it!!

Amazing First class service by an Amazing First professional!! Do not miss out!!

First class DJ and MC that delivers a first class service guaranteed. DJ Covenant Child created the soundtrack and Center piece to our unforgettable wedding day. His mastery of music and different genres made sure all age groups were catered for and no bums were left on seats. His floor wrap was the focal point of the day for our ceremony and dance floor and he blew us away with his exceptional talents, MC-ing, and DJ-ing which left an indelible mark on our day. Through the planning stages no request was too small or too big and he bent over backwards to make sure everything we requested was catered for. A wonderful person who delivers a first class service, I cannot recommend any more highly.

Maurice is the Best: Awesome and Affordable DJ!

Maurice was fantastic to work with! We hired him at the beginning of the year for our October wedding with a very different wedding plan in mind before COVID-19 hit. In response to the pandemic, my future-bride and I made rearrangements to hold our ceremony and reception outdoors, changing our original plans (and sound set-up) entirely. Maurice was very amenable to the changes, was very quick to respond to our questions over emails, and very graciously took time to speak with us over the phone to discuss the new plans and put our concerns to rest.
The spreadsheet that Maurice provided for us to fill out our song requests for the ceremony and reception (complete with a Do Not Play list) was easy to use and was one of the most fun aspects of our wedding planning.
On the day of the wedding, all of the sound, music, and uplighting turned out fantastic! Maurice accommodated our somewhat-offbeat song requests for the ceremony and also provided music for our reception that fit the romantic-but-fun tone that we desired. And all of our guests had a great time! One of my personal highlights of the reception was seeing my recently-widowed grandmother smiling and dancing!
My wife and I had a great time working with Maurice and felt that we received a great value for his superb services. We can happily recommend Covenant Child Productions to anyone looking for an awesome DJ!

Perfect wedding!

Maurice and covenant child productions helped to make my wedding the most absolute perfect night I could think of. Every guest has told us how much fun they had at our wedding, and that it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to! The music was perfect and Maurice did such a great job of keeping all the guests happy, dancing, and entertained. Maurice also did my uplighting and it was exactly what I wanted. He is such a friendly guy who is always trying to make sure everyone is having a good time. Thank you again!!!

Maurice is the best DJ!

Great DJ!!

We had Maurice DJ our August 24th Ghanaian wedding and he was fantastic. His prices were fair and reasonable, and he was prompt and friendly during communications. Maurice was also a professional and timely on day of wedding and played a good mix of Afrobeats, hip hop, and pop. Do not hesitate to book him.

He's great!

Maurice was professional and was on top of everything he needed. He was very responsive to emails and was so flexible leading up to the wedding and during the wedding as well. I couldn't recommend Covenant Child more highly!

Maurice was amazing to work with! He was always responsive to us throughout the process and always had a good answer for our questions. Day of, he was prompt, dealt smoothly with some audio challenges (a loud waterfall at the venue and a very echoing barn) and the day went off without a hitch. We had a great time at the reception and he was the perfect level of "involved" as the emcee without overdoing it. The photobooth group he worked with was also great. The pictures from the photobooth were excellent and some of my favorite from the night! If I could give both Covenant Child and Spixebooth 10 stars I would!

Excellent DJ and MC!

We danced all night

We loved Maurice! He completely understood what vibe we were going for and executed the music and environment perfectly. We all danced like crazy all night and could not have been happier.

He also help with the planning because we had no idea where to start. The spreadsheet he sent made organization very easy and helped to take some of the stress away. If we had any questions, he answered them right away.

I would definitely recommend him to all my friends and family for their events.

Maurice is professional and fun to work with. He is adept in music and able to read a crowd to play music they respond to. I thought everyone would like country music and has asked him to play some, but no one was dancing! Maurice quickly changed tunes and got everyone on the dance floor. Covenant child is hands down the one of the best vendors I have worked with. I've known about his services for a while but when i saw that he was listed on wedding wire and had really good reviews i knew for sure i was making the right decison. He was so receptive to ideas we had and was also able to give us advice on things we were unsure of. He was so organized and made sure we had song lists listed in time for the reception. He even created a customized dance mix for us which I was surprised cus he suggested it. Maurice exceeded my expectations and I will forever use him as a top choice for any other events I will be hosting. ANNDD he listened to what I wanted as my song choices! I wish we were able to have him play allll night because when he did we all couldn't sit down!!!! at about 12:30am my aunt was like its time for bed looool! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!! <3

Maurice did an amazing job being the DJ for our wedding! He was incredibly responsive leading up to the event and answered all of our questions. My husband and I only had a few songs we really wanted and left it up to Maurice to fill the rest in and he exceeded our expectations. He had multiple setups around our venue and at each location the music was played flawlessly. To top it all off, our wedding was multicultural and Maurice picked out some great Brazilian songs that got everyone dancing! There was even a dance off! I danced the night away thanks to Maurice. From our church ceremony to wedding reception, Covenant Child made our day exceptional. We did not get just a regular DJ, we also got an anointed worshiper. He played the keyboard and led the choir during the church service. It was truly a double blessing!
Working with Maurice was very easy because of his professionalism. He never imposed but encouraged us to lead in the decision making process. I was pleasantly surprised when he asked us to choose the songs for every segment of our wedding. My husband and I were able to choose songs that really spoke to us. It added to the intimacy of the whole process. When we decided to change a couple of the songs very close to our wedding day, Maurice did not mind one bit.
Here's what was really outstanding: When one of the songs we chose appeared not to be a hit and there was about to be a lull on the dance floor, Maurice quickly switched to another song that had everyone jumping and dancing the evening away. He was able to assess the situation and knew exactly what to do. That was a life-saver!

My daughter played a special violin tribute at our reception and Maurice backed her up on his keyboard. It was truly beautiful!
I can only say that Covenant Child Productions went above and beyond in making our wedding day an outstanding success.

We had fun! Our guests had fun! There was not a dull a moment.

DJ Maurice aka DJ Convenient Child was so sweet and very helpful. My now husband and I are huge procrastinators so we appreciated Maurice's expertise and ability to make it all come together with minimal help and input from us. He sent us a spread sheet to fill out and met with us over the phone to discuss expectations and vision and we basically threw some ideas at him and he made them happen. Everyone raved about how much fun the wedding was and how great the music was. He provided all the equipment and even the mic for our pastor. My husband made some last minute changes to the announcements and did a little performance all on the day of the wedding (at the wedding) and Maurice made it seamlessly happen. There were things I thought of after we talked on the phone that I wanted to tell him before the wedding that i never got the chance to because I was so busy and he did it all anyway without me even asking which showed me that his experience and knowledge about how these events should go is extremely high and he can be fully relied on. He played every song we requested and made it even better! perfection!

Maurice was fantastic to work with. He was super flexible, even responding to music changes that I made the morning of the wedding. He made sure that everyone, even my great aunts and uncles, were on the dance floor enjoying themselves all night. I appreciated that he called out dance moves at the beginning of Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, and Cotton Eyed Joe so that even those unfamiliar with the song could dance and have fun. Maurice was a pleasure to work with leading up to our wedding and did a fantastic job throughout the whole day. He took into account the multiple rooms and spaces, setting up all needed equipment and smoothly transitioned between rooms and events. Maurice had a wonderful helper, his niece, who was simply wonderful.

We provided music playlists via Spotify and Maurice took the time to work with us to narrow down what songs were "must play" songs and filled out the dance party with a combination of songs we picked and similar styled songs to what we picked. Our friends and family were not all the dancing type, but Maurice was able to build a fun dance dj set that let us all have an enjoyable evening.

Maurice has the rare combination of being extremely courteous, responsive, helpful, and professional during the planning phases and then being able to absolutely TURN UP when DJing at the reception itself. Our wedding guests have been raving about how great the music was and how he was able to get everyone on their feet. At one point, it looked like all 130 guests were on their feet dancing and we had to open up the doors leading outside so people can spill out and dance there because the dancefloor was full. We had an unforgettable evening and Maurice played a very large role in all of that. 5/5 would recommend for any of your events!

Maurice was the absolute best - we could not have been happier with the music at our wedding! The flow of our wedding was smooth and seamless, largely thanks to Maurice's excellent music selections and MC skills. Our wedding was culturally diverse, including my husband's Nigerian family, as well as many people who'd never really heard African music before -- and yet Maurice succeeded in creating an atmosphere that was welcoming and appealing to all, and that brought everyone of all ages together! He did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception -- he played an awesome combination of funk, r&b, soul, motown, Nigerian music, reggae, and a few select top 40 hits. The progression and flow were just perfect! Once the dance party started, it never stopped, and everyone was out there dancing together! People are still raving about how amazing the music was :) From a planning perspective, Maurice was incredibly accommodating, organized, and responsive along the way-- he took the careful time to understand our vision, ask all the right questions, and also make excellent recommendations. The collaborative worksheet he provided us made it very easy to plan out the music with him. Very early on in the planning, I remember saying that "he gets us" - and he totally did! Thank you Maurice, we had a blast!!!

Could not have asked for a better DJ. During the many stressful tasks of planning a wedding, Maurice was one of the smoother things we went through during the process. He was very attentive, personable and just genuine which his work. He listened to our vision for the wedding and is a professional at his work. The price is extremely reasonable and there is absolutely nothing I would have changed. Many attendees asked about our DJ and commented about how well he did.

Maurice is an experienced DJ and someone very easy to work with. He set up a meeting with us well in advance to find out what kind of music we like and the details of the venue. He provided us with a lot of flexibility in choosing our music. During the reception he worked as a great MC to get the dance party going and made sure everyone was having fun. After he found out that I (the groom) am a not-so-secret fan of heavy metal, he played a song by Iron Maiden as I launched into an impromptu karaoke to the amusement of the audience, which was a very fitting end of a fun reception and memorable wedding. We'd really appreciate what Maurice had done for us and would highly recommend him as your wedding DJ.

Maurice with Covenant Child Productions was an incredible DJ at our Washington DC wedding and I would absolutely recommend him. My Dj was amazing! Not only did he play everything i asked for he also came up with a great playlist all on his own! He was very sweet and understanding even tho i emailed him a billion times and kept changing my mind. My friends and family all loved him and the truly amazing job that he did! The dj also handled our up lighting and gobo and they were both also a big hit, the lights where perfect and a great match to my wedding colors (which by the way wasnt an color to find) and the gobo he created for us was out of this world. If I even have another event that calls for a dj in definetly giving them another call.

Maurice was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. We were a culturally diverse crowd and Maurice was very accommodating - we sent him kizomba tracks in advance and he fused these in with other top 40 and r&b songs seamlessly. When we told Maurice that we wanted our first dance to be split between two different songs he customized the track for us, which was really helpful (so that we could practice our transition some). In addition to having all of the music on point, Maurice was an outstanding MC for our wedding. Energetic, pleasant and kind all the way through. We decided to have Maurice handle our uplighting, and that also went over perfectly with no issues at all.

Going into our wedding planning we knew that we needed a DJ with some understanding of how to navigate a culturally diverse group with a variety of music tastes, and Maurice did not disappoint. 5 Stars all around. We couldn't have been happier!

I couldn't have picked a better DJ than Covenant child!!! From the very beginning he was very responsive and payed close attention the vision I had for my wedding music and he delivered it to perfection!! Everything went exactly how I wanted and we had such a great time :) Moreover, he was one of the most kindest and easy going vendors I've ever worked with. He even set up my uplighting for me on short notice and did a great job with it!
I would recommend DJ Covenant Child to anyone looking for a great DJ!! AWESOME-AWESOME-AWESOME!

Covenant Child Productions was absolutely amazing. My wife and I stressed how much we wanted a variety of music and that we wanted our guest to dance and have an awesome time. Maurice asked us questions and was very responsive. He was on time and engaged with our guest. We had last minute changes that he made with not problem and with a smile on his face. DJ Covenant Child is highly recommended! My husband and I were looking for someone who could balance our various tastes in music and keep our guests dancing. He did not disappoint! He was incredibly professional throughout the entire process of us working with him (from initial conversation until our wedding day). We appreciated how comfortable he made us feel. He requested we do a walk through of our venue together so he could see what type of equipment would be required and have a sense of where to put speakers, mics, etc. DJ Covenant Child is serious about his business and it showed. Several of our guests complimented his work and requested his information. If you're looking for a great DJ/MC, you won't be disappointed with DJ Covenant Child!

Hiring Covenant Child as our wedding DJ was probably one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Maurice was extremely professional from start to finish. He was easily the most accommodating and easiest vendor to work with. He went above and beyond to meet our requests. I requested an instrumental, and he provided it. I loved working with Maurice. If you are planning your wedding there are so many vendors to sort through and worry about and he doesn't have to be one of them. Making sure the flow of the wedding and music was fun and upbeat was very important to me on my BIG day and it was. We met with Maurice prior to the wedding to talk about where he should be, get his ideas, and just honestly make sure he was the right fit. Our wedding was in Washington DC and he was there early, set up and ready to go before the cocktail hour and that was a concern with DC traffic. He also brought his own colored lights which I had forgotten about but LOVED. As it got later in the night it was the fun party vibe we wanted and kept people on the dance floor.

I sent him a list of about 40songs that I liked for the dancing portion of the wedding but for the coctail hour and dinner I just let him know the artisit and genre I prefered EXAMPLE: Norah Jones, James Taylor, Micheal Buble, Jazzy and folky lol (not sure if those go togetehr but out guest loved it and so did we).

DJ Covenant Child was amazing! We hired him for our wedding and got so many compliments on him from our guests. He was able to find all of our songs and time them well. His transitions were smooth, and his songs selections were on par with what we requested. He inspired many of our guests, young and old, to dance. Maurice was great--the volume of his music was perfect for the ceremony and cocktail hour, all the songs were exactly what we wanted, everything was paced well and the transitions were totally unnoticeable. He sent us a google doc to fill out a few weeks out so we had time to consider what we wanted and the ability to update it in real time which was super convenient. During the reception he was totally flexible with our fluid schedule and kept the dancing going for the whole thing. With little guidance he produced terrific music choices that were definitely inter-generation-ally friendly. If you're looking for a good DJ in the DC area, he's a great person to book!
