Tasty Catering was so helpful throughout all of wedding planning! We enjoyed the tasting experience and getting to tailor the menu to what we wanted to serve at our wedding. Guests loved the food at our wedding. Everyone we worked with at Tasty was so kind, thoughtful, and helpful. They even remembered we loved something during the tasting and made sure we had extras on the day of the wedding! We loved working with them and would highly recommend them! -

The staff at Tasty Catering are absolutely incredible!!!! They all are so kind and communication was seamless. Our tasting experiencing was quite honestly the most fun thing about planning. It was such a cute and lovely experience.
The food was absolutely incredible. There were plenty of options to choose from making it even more difficult. The head of catering also saved us the apps from cocktail hour that we got to enjoy later. They even coordinated our late night food arrival for later for our guests. Everything was seamless and it made the day less stressful for us. It was the most enjoyable part of wedding planning!!! -

100/10 STARS!
Technically we did not "choose" Tasty Catering as they were the sole caterer for the venue we selected in Oak Brook, IL. HOWEVER, from the start we felt confident in moving forward with them because the venue (which we loved) spoke so highly of them, and they were 100% right. If given the chance to do it all over again and pick any caterer we still wanted, we would still go with Tasty.
Our event designer, Hannah M., was AMAZING from start to finish in the process. She was incredible at communicating, flexible and understanding to our needs (especially with us being out of state and therefore having some restrictions to when we could come in for our tasting.)
For someone who did not have a wedding planner, the streamlined processes and communication with Tasty almost made it feel like they were a caterer AND an event coordinator (which they absolutely didn't have to do but seems to be just part of their stellar services nature.) They truly went above and beyond.
As for the food and drink, we couldn't have been happier. We decided to go with a buffet option. We had the "good problem" during the tasting of enjoying all the options that were presented for passed appetizers, salads, entrees, and sides and having to decide what we'd end up going with. All of our guests were coming up to us after dinner and saying how incredible the food was and how it was the most efficient buffet experience they'd had at a wedding.
While they did have late night and dessert options that were cost effective, we ended up doing those with third party vendors due to sentimental value (Portillo's Chicago hot dogs for late night snack and the desserts my family always had growing up at family functions.) Even though the food came from external vendors, Tasty made sure they were plated and presented pristinely, once again going above and beyond!
Finally the staff - as I already mentioned, Hannah M., who we worked with from the day we signed the venue to the day before the event, was so kind and helpful. Every one from our day-of/on-site liaison to the chefs to the servers that were on-site for our wedding contributed significantly to the positive energy that I think any happy event like a wedding should have. They were all so kind, helpful, and FUN. The bar was set up right under the veranda alongside the band and they were super efficient and warm and welcoming to us and our guests.
While not having to choose a caterer ourselves means I didn't really put much effort into comparing/contrasting their rates compared to other local caterers, I truly think their costs were beyond reasonable, especially given the quality of the food and the "above and beyond" energy they provided from start to finish.
We are so grateful to everyone at Tasty Catering that made such an important and lasting contribution to our wedding day. We highly recommend them to anybody who is interested in having a blast on their wedding and resting assured that the caterer will fill their hearts and stomachs with so much goodness! -

Carolyn was fantastic right from the beginning. We opted for a plated dinner and she helped me customize the menu and accommodate all our guests with specific dietary needs. Our day-of service was exceptional, the staff was friendly, and all of our guests kept saying how delicious the food was! Everything felt really seamless. The only (minor) issue was that not all the menus at people's seats corresponded with their meal choice, but everyone was served the correct meal, so it really was just a cosmetic thing. -

Carolyn and her team at Tasty were AMAZING!! From communication, to package options, to literally every single thing in between they were amazing. If I was local, I would hire them for every event for the rest of my life. My wedding was absolutely magical, the food was amazing, and it was so seamless. Look no further!! We got married at Oak Brook Bath & Tennis Club, and their exclusive caterer is Tasty Catering. Being automatically committed to a caterer admittedly made us a bit nervous at first, but we should have known that it was because they are so fantastic!
THE SERVICE -- We worked with Hannah at Tasty Catering, who with patience and grace, helped us through a pandemic one year postponement. She was always quick to respond to emails, paid attention to details (coming from a Type A/spreadsheet type of person), and went out to her way for small details. We snuck away after our ceremony to the bridal suite were they had appetizers and a set of drinks waiting for us. When I happened to mention I liked a particular cocktail during our walk through, she made sure to have that available for me in the suite. Little things like that really did go a long way. We had quite a few adjustments to guest counts with COVID, and she never batted an eye. Guests commented on how great the service was during the meal as well. Tasty Catering helped with décor setup and take down, and not an item was out of place. We had an absolutely perfect wedding day, and we are confident that Tasty Catering and Hannah helped make that possible.
THE FOOD -- We also had some special dietary restrictions, including a gluten-free/vegan member, which they had no trouble accommodating. For our plated meal, we selected a chicken dish and stuffed portobello mushroom (GF/vegan), both of which we thoroughly enjoyed and guests expressed their equal enjoyment. The baby red potatoes and crab cakes in the passed appetizers are a must-have! They were kind enough to pass along the extras of a few no-shows to my parents at the end of the night so the food wouldn't go to waste.
OVERALL -- We give Tasty Catering 5/5 stars and recommend them without hesitation for wedding catering! -

Absolutely delicious! We got so many compliments on the appetizers, dinner, and the late night bite. From beginning to end all of our questions and concerns were answered. This vendor worked exclusively with our venue which was great because it was a decision we didnt have to make. And we completely understand why they have the exclusivity- they really know the space and their staff was wonderful. The day of representative for the catering company came to me with concerns right away and was extremely professional. She exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding caterer. Thank you for making our day so special. -

Hannah from Tasty Catering provided excellent service. Although we were unable to utilize services due to COVID-19, Tasty Catering was very accommodating, professional, and understanding. They are clean and the food tastes fantastic. We highly recommend them for any event needing catering. -

The Most Amazing Food & Service
The Tasty Catering team was amazing to work with from start to finish! After selecting our wedding venue, Loft 21, we met with Tasty Catering to see what kind of menu we could dream up together. They had so many menu items to choose from so we were invited into a tasting. The tasting helped narrow down what we (and our moms) liked and what items worked well together. They also were helpful in meeting dietary needs, which was important as we wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of and well-fed. Food was very important to us and we had plenty of it!
Some of the menu items we (and our guests) enjoyed were: Mini tinga tacos, pear & brie quesadillas, beef tenderloin, and Prosecco chicken. And the most popular item of the evening was the charcuterie board table centerpiece we dreamt up and Tasty made a reality. It was a focal point of guest tables and gave them something to enjoy during speeches. We also ended the night with their authentic “Tasty Dawg” cart and That’s Caring cookies (a favor that gave back).
The evening of the event went flawlessly. the chefs and entire staff worked so hard in making sure that our vision became a reality. They were courteous and made sure everyone was treated like royalty. Thank you to the entire Tasty Catering team for going above and beyond to make our wedding a night we will never forget. -

The Tasty Catering team took great care of our wedding. Dinner and drinks for our wedding were something that was very important to us. We wanted to make sure our guests were well fed with good food. Tasty Catering exceeded that! The service team was professional and prompt on doing whatever needed to be taken care of. Our bartender handled our two signature drinks with ease and kept the bar moving all night. Tasty Catering also supplied late night snacks which were a huge hit at our wedding. -

Tasty Catering was the exclusive caterer for our reception venue (the Oak Brook Bath & Tennis Club). We initially started working with Lauren and were then transferred to working with Hannah when Lauren left for a different job. The transition was seamless and none of the details were lost. We went through several iterations of our menu and Tasty was very accommodating and worked to find a menu that we loved and that was within our price range. When linens we wanted weren't available, they upgraded our linens for free for the inconvenience. On the day of the wedding, the supervisor Jessica was very attentive and helped to ensure that our guests were fully satisfied. We had a mac and cheese action station and taco bar--everything was delicious and our guests raved about the food. Everyone we interacted with throughout the evening was so attentive and responsive and made our reception a dream come true. -

They were one of three preferred vendors for our venue, and after weighing the pros and cons of each, Tasty Catering was who we selected. Our catering manager was Erica, and she was a complete joy to work with. I felt comfortable sharing my thoughts and concerns, and she really listened to everything I had to say!
For our wedding, we opted for a brunch reception, which included french toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, chicken breasts, cheese ravioli, baby spinach salad, and yogurt parfaits, along with bellinis, mimosas, coffee, bailey's, tea, soda and juice. Not only was the food almost spot on for the number of guests we had, everyone told us how delicious everything was. They did a great job setting up the room and making it beautiful, and we especially appreciated their offer to put our escort cards, favors and the cupcake table!
All of the staff were wonderful and kept the entire event running smoothly. They did a great job setting the tone for the entire day. I can't thank them enough for making my wedding day practically flawless, and so special. -
Emily Sent on 11/23/2017Tasty Catering was fantastic! We had sort of a long list of caterers to choose from at our venue, so the decision was kind of daunting, but I'm so glad we went with Tasty. I did a ton of research and I'm pretty confident, even after the fact, that they were a great value. We were getting so discouraged when looking at caterers because it seemed like everyone charged $100 a plate minimum so we were relieved to find something more affordable that would still our guests a traditional, full dinner. Tasty, particularly Nikki at Tasty Catering, were so flexible and offered a lot of suggestions as to how to keep costs to a minimum. Our food was pretty basic wedding buffet food, but it was great and people really liked it. Nikki was at two meetings with us at our venue which put us at ease and she was so good to go back and forth with me over email so many times. They were total pros on the day of too. I would recommend them to anyone!

100% Recommend
The service we received from Tasty Catering for our 2021 wedding was exceptional!!! It actually exceeded our expectations. I’m a really picky eater, and the dinner ended up tasting way better than I expected. The guests only had positive things to say about the food. We received so many compliments on how delicious and flavorful the food was for a wedding. The guests were also impressed with how seamlessly the event went given we planned the wedding in 2 months, in a pandemic. The table set up and arrangement went smoothly, even with the small space we had and the multiple adjustments we made to our guest list. Amanda and her team’s flexible, responsiveness, professionalism and efficiency was impressive given the little time we gave them to pull the wedding together. We are thankful for their services, and we highly recommend them!!! -

Tasty catering was a great choice for our wedding. First off, the food was delicious. But more than that, Tasty was able to work with us as plans changed rapidly with varying restrictions. They went through several different plans with us, and were flexible about payment deadlines when the world went haywire. They were also able to help us rent games when it looked like the dance floor would be closed. We were so happy to work with them. -

They set up everything for the reception before we arrived and helped take down items at the end of the night. I had Lauren for my event manager, and she was helpful throughout the entire planning process. -

Tasty Catering was wonderful to work with. Both Lauren and Hannah were extremely responsive and made us feel like they had things under control. It was nice to have a lot of options and they were flexible with last minute updates. As far as food, it was on the better side of what you can expect from wedding food. The day of, the proteins (chicken, beef, salmon) were a bit dry but if having them alongside with the sauce they were really good. Our signature cocktails were a bit weird (french 75 had too much sugar and the old fashioned was made with a weird mix). However, Hannah was extremely responsive to critiques and even sent us a "thank you" basket. Overall, I would recommend TC. -
