Jason and his team were a true pleasure to work with. We hired him to DJ our wedding after seeing him in action at a friend's wedding where we danced the night away. Throughout the entire process, Jason and JL were responsive and helpful, and available to take calls and meet in person when possible (we were planning our wedding at a distance). He listened to all our requests, and was able to craft playlists for pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and (of course) a rocking dance floor set. He was also very flexible on the day of and added new songs (obscure tracks, I might add) right before the event started, with no issues or complaints, and offered some classic Italian tunes for some of the older relatives to enjoy and dance to.

I would recommend Tasty Beats highly to anyone who wants a unique musical feel to their wedding, a packed dance floor, and a professional vendor they feel they can trust.

Yes, Yes, Yes! Hire Tasty Beats :D

Tasty Beats (JL and Jason) was amazing to work with from the moment I inquired about his services. Throughout the planning process, he was very responsive and had wonderful song and scheduling suggestions for every important moment of the day.

He's incredibly organized and doesn't miss anything - you will never have to worry about chasing him around for anything!

He's the perfect combination of friendly and professional, and his experience and expertise shined bright on our wedding day.

When he arrived at our venue, the venue speakers were not working properly and he immediately set about hooking up his own speakers without missing a beat. He got us organized for the ceremony (we were totally clueless on how to get down the aisle), honoured our wishes during cocktail hour, and even offered to stay a little later because everyone was dancing and having such a great time!

He worked quickly with my husband, our MC, and my aunt to come up with a plan to get things going again. And it worked! He helped save the day :)

All in all, Tasty Beats was brilliant! He kept the dance floor bumpin' all night, and we would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Our wedding music felt very much like us (as eclectic as we are), and everyone had a great time dancing - on more than one occasion someone told me they wanted/needed to go use the restroom, but couldn't leave because our DJ just kept the hits coming one after another. He was also very flexible on the day of and added new songs (obscure tracks, I might add) right before the event started, with no issues or complaints, and offered some classic Italian tunes for some of the older relatives to enjoy and dance to.
In terms of pure logistics, Tasty Beats was on top of setting up the sound for our wedding so that we could move seamlessly between two different back yards, and JL dealt with an unexpected downpour just before the ceremony like a true pro - he was able to hustle to keep everything dry (with some help from our guests), and while I'm sure it must have been stressful for him to deal with the deluge, he didn't let it show, and was very calm and professional.
I would recommend Tasty Beats highly to anyone who wants a unique musical feel to their wedding, a packed dance floor, and a professional vendor they feel they can trust.

Tasty Beats was awesome! They had great service and professionalism. Among many Chicago DJs and Wedding DJs Tasty Beats' Lavar is a class above. Great selection of music and the mixing was awesome. It felt like we were at a club! Our family, friends, and guests really had a blast and couldn't stop dancing all night long! I totally recommend Chicago’s best DJ service "Tasty Beats!"

Jason, is a great person to work with. He went above and beyond with helping us organize our wedding reception.
I'm the worst at remembering song titles and artist and all I had to do was say a couple of lines of the songs I wanted and he knew exactly what I was referring to! He made our song list in no time!
JL and Jason did a great job with sound and lighting. They definitely rocked the party at our wedding. They felt the crowd and kept the party going.
JL also played my favourite song as the last song at the end of the night. He really pays attention to detail!!!

We had Tasty Beats as our wedding DJ and would definitely recommend them. Jason was professional and friendly from the beginning, responding to all emails quickly, and going over all the small details during our meetings. His prices are very competitive. He also provided all of our ceremony music, and was organized with the timeline and in checking in with us. Our guests loved JL’s selection of dance songs. Lot’s of fun! Highly recommended!

Jason from Tasty Beats was extremely friendly and met up with us months before our wedding day. He had all the equipment necessary for the set up. He was very professional throughout our entire experience. He had a great selection of music and listened to what we wanted and didn't want to hear on that day.

We want to thank you for contributing to our beautiful day. The music created a romantic, fun atmosphere for us and our guests.

We chose Tasty Beats for our wedding last weekend and we were blown away. JL is extremely thorough and made sure everything ran so smoothly. He was also very good with my unexpected last minute changes during the wedding. My guests raved about how the music was incredible and the dance floor was never even half empty!! We hired Tasty Beats to DJ our wedding and added a film with Lexoria. What a GREAT decision that was! We had DJ Marcus and he was FABULOUS. He was so great about keeping the whole night upbeat and flowing smoothly. People danced the night away, which is exactly what we had hoped for. Highly recommend them for any event--they made the process seamless and fun! People are still raving about it!

What a steal! We did the wedding film and dj combination. Jason and this DJ/Video team was a breath of fresh air.

My husband and I got married a few weeks ago and everyone is still raving about the DJ. I've never seen so many people continuously dance and sing and have the time of their lives. He really listened to our music choices and really let our personality as a couple shine through.

The film is beautiful and arrived within weeks of the wedding.

I can't recommend the Tasty Beats / Lexoria Wedding Films team enough for your event!

Jason, Chris and Tasty Beats were the best choice we ever made for our wedding. They created a perfect atmosphere that left people saying this was the best wedding they had ever been to. From helping us pick out the key songs to making the night run smoothly, they were priceless!

We didn't have to worry about anything during the reception, they kept things running smoothly and knew when it would be best to do the next thing on the timeline. They coordinated all of the toasts and elements like the tossing of the bouquet and the first dance. We did a special first dance with a slow first song that went into a faster song and they pulled it off perfectly.

The dance floor was never empty because they read the audience and knew exactly what the play next to keep people engaged. We gave them a variety of songs we liked and they ran with those ideas. While they played some of the more contemporary songs we love, they also had a great way to include songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's to keep the older adults engaged. They don't simply press play on an iPod, they artfully intertwine songs together and weave oldies with newer hits.

They were also helpful in recommending vendors they have worked with which made the wedding planning that much easier.

Out of all of the vendors from our wedding, professional DJ's were definitely at the top of our list and Tasty Beats should be number one on your list.

We hired Tasty Beats for our wedding in April of 2016. We were hesitant when hiring a DJ vs. live band for our wedding, because we didn't want your typical wedding music experience. Tasty Beats blew that away! Jason met with us before the ceremony and we discussed what we were looking for - even though we wanted a diverse mix of music, he pulled it together wonderfully. Our guests were on the dance floor the whole night and, even with a little rain at an outdoor reception, he kept the crowd energized through the last song. We didn't want the "dollar dance," "garter toss," and dozens of announcements. The whole event was classy and Tasty Beats made that so!

Dream Team, amazing to work with, highly recommend!

We hired Tasty Beats and Lexoria Wedding Films for our wedding and could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out. Jason and Marcus were a dream to work with and really took the time to understand our tastes in music. They put together a fantastic spread of music that incorporated the tastes of both the older and younger crowds. I can honestly say I have never seen a more full dance floor than our wedding night. Our friends still talk about how great the music was and how much fun they had. If we had to do it all over again, the only thing we would change is having Tasty Beats play for a few more hours!

As for the film. Amazing! Easy to work with. A consultation before the day of and Lexoria took it from there. We received our film just a few weeks after the event. These guys are the best!

Tasty Beats provided the perfect night for wedding. They took the few songs we recommended and crafted a setlist and feel that really made our wedding evening personal and incredibly fun. They were able to connect with our young friends and older audience simultaneously. They were awesome and easy to work with, met with us personally to discuss our plan, and held our hand through the at times confusing wedding process. Would highly recommend working with Jason and his team!

Where to start!!!! First of all, the level of professionalism with Tasty Beats is top tier. Jason was in touch with us prior to our wedding regarding details via email and if I had any questions he was prompt with his response. Even if he wasn't in the office - there was a out of office message to let us know when we'd hear back - simple touch but definitely ups the level of professionalism. Now, the wedding: our DJ and Video team was phenomenal! They read our guests like a book. Adjusted the music to keep people dancing and was just all around amazing. He also pays great attention to details I'm not sure all DJs care about. If you're getting married or throwing a party, they are the one to call!

Jason promised a night to never forget...and he delivered. He was on top of all of our needs and created a playlist that our wedding guests are still talking about to this day. We had a dance floor full of people from start to finish thanks to the playlist we discussed with Chris. We really enjoyed working with such a professional and would recommend this company for anyone wanting to throw a party to remember.

Jason and Tasty Beats are an incredible team. They provided the entertainment experience at our wedding for 300 guests. Instead of a typical stale dance floor, they kept the dance floor packed and moving the entire night.
From initial consult meeting to the end of our event, they truly are professionals and experts in their field. I would highly recommend them to anyone throwing any large event like this. While I was stressed with every detail of the party, I knew I had nothing to worry with them. They brought a lot to the table and suggested many things that made our event even better.

I'm a true music lover and dance enthusiast, with high hopes for my own wedding reception turning into an awesome dance party, so I set out to find the best DJ in the area. My greatest fear in hiring a wedding DJ, was that I might not find a true professional. I did not want someone who merely has a playlist, and "does weddings" a few times per year. Tasty Beats far exceeded my expectations and my wife couldn't be happier with them. The DJ can really make or break any occasion, and Ryan truly made our night unbelievable with great dance music! Even guests who "don't dance", were out on the dance floor all night long! My 89 year old grandmother was dancing until 11 pm! They did an amazing job reading the crowd and playing the perfect songs to keep everyone excited. His blend of various genres (including house and techno music at our request) was amazing and I struggled to find a break from the dance floor. My wife and I extended the party by an hour, and the crew did not skip a beat! They also did a great job at illuminating our reception hall! The uplighting really made the venue glow. I can't say enough positive things about Jason, Ryan and Tasty Beats Entertainment and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a DJ. If you can swing it do the wedding film too. The process was easy and the film looks amazing. My wife and I can't wait to come up with another excuse to throw a party and have Tasty Beats handle the entertainment!

Jason and the Tasty Beats Crew is spectacular!! They recently did the DJ and Video our wedding and did an amazing job! I can honestly admit that I don't dance but they had me and all of our 110 guests up and moving for hours! They incorporated our specials songs with some great throwbacks and current remixes! We informed him of age group of most of the guests and he pulled some great 90's mixes out of the closet. We all had such a good time reminiscing and singing songs we haven't heard in years! So glad we went with Tasty Beats.

We hired Tasty Beats Entertainment for a recent event in Libertyville and were very pleased with the pre-event discussions, ease of selecting music that we wanted to be played, and the flexibility of the DJ during the event. What we wanted was plenty of high energy dancing music and that's what we got - as well as a very professional presentation, with lights for a somewhat dark room.

We recommend this DJ, especially having survived the results of others.

My now husband and I had gone to another friends wedding and after a fantastic night full of dancing at a great wedding we both commented on how great the DJ was. Both of us knew exactly who we wanted to provide the entertainment for our wedding!

From the get-go it was a super easy process. We communicated with Jason on what type of music we wanted - and what we didn't want. What was great was we already knew what to expect in terms of the overall experience and what type of music would be played. Nothing corny or stereotypical, just great modern music that everybody enjoyed. Exactly what we wanted.

Another great benefit of using Tasty Beats is the lighting and dancefloors that they can provide. We chose to do uplighting and their LED dancefloor. All of the lights are coordinated so it creates a great overall look.

Overall I can't recommend Tasty Beats enough. They provide a great service and kept people on the dancefloor the entire night. It was a great party that was made the best it could be by Tasty Beats.

From one bride to another, LOOK ELSEWHERE

1. Communication was awful (after they received our money, of course—up until then, SUPER responsive!). As if a stressed out bride needs one more THING to worry about, unanswered emails with important questions should not be one of them.

2. On the actual wedding DAY, our DJ was unprepared from the start. While the names of our bridal party were announced in some sort of order, it didn’t align to the order we had them in (all previously submitted to the DJ via the requested online forms). Oh and WE, the BRIDE and GROOM, walking into a room FULL of our family and friends at our wedding we’d paid an exorbitant amount of money for, were announced as (insert long pause while DJ tries to remember our name) “Mr. and Mrs.”! Mind you, I had specified our full first and NEW LAST NAME in the forms. Not to mention he didn’t have our song either so the grand entrance my husband spent over a year conjuring up never came to fruition. There are a few moments you just don’t get back. It honestly still saddens me to this day and still stings a bit when I think about it. The whole introduction process, which is supposed to be a light and fun part of the evening, was extremely painful, awkward, and downright EMBARRASSING for us (apologies, bridal party!).

3. The music selection was OK overall (not that all of our “must plays” were played), the dance floor was full most of the time. But our family and friends love to dance so I can’t attribute that to the music, honestly.

4. Even though the Tasty Beats contract says you’re required to purchase one vendor meal, SURPRISE! You’ll actually be on the hook for three because the DJ will bring an assistant, and the photo booth guy will order one for himself too, apparently.

5. We did reach out to try and address our grievances with both Jason (of Tasty Beats) and Marcus (of Chicago Mobile DJs) prior to leaving any public reviews. However, after two weeks with little communication and still NO resolution, I am FINALLY writing this well-justified review. From one bride to another, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: just do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE, PLEASE!
