My husband and I had such a wonderful time celebrating with our friends and family at Tampa Bay Watch! The venue is breathtaking, gives right back to our community and everyone we worked with was wonderful. Something that was really important to us in a venue was being accessible for my husband's grandmother who is in a wheelchair. I promise, you won't regret having an event here!

Best Waterfront Venue
We are so happy we chose Tampa Bay Watch for our wedding. Nothing compares to natural Florida beauty that Tampa Bay Watch offers. It is far better than having a venue on a public beach as it is private and on the water. I highly recommend Tampa Bay Watch!

The most amazing choice for our wedding venue! Huge open spaces, chairs and tables provided, and the money spent to rent the space goes 100% to wildlife conservation ❤️ Shanna was so knowledgeable, professional, had recommendations on vendors, and was ready to make our day the greatest day of our lives. Perfectly positioned for a bay sunset!
If you're looking for a gorgeous water view for your ceremony, cocktail hr and reception.. that has a perfect angle of the sunset AND includes all the tables and chairs you would need, you found it! Shanna, their Rental Coordinator is awesome. She is knowledgeable, responsive and prioritizes your experience over everything else. As a planner, I'm always looking for functional, flexible venues with a great flow and TBW was fantastic. Can't wait to be back!

Dream Wedding!
We cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. It felt like a tucked away gem that allowed for such an intimate and private ceremony and reception. Jon was incredibly responsive, had amazing recommendations for vendors, and made sure that everything went incredibly smoothly the entire process. The value of this place was incredible (on the lower end of many that we saw) and we could not have imagined any other place to have our wedding. Cannot recommend enough!!!

Lovely setting, great experience
Our November wedding was everything we'd hoped for (despite the earlier hurricanes). The setting was beautiful and Jon, the coordinator, was very responsive and gave us some good ideas for the wedding. We liked the options of having the ceremony on the lawn, then moving to the deck for cocktails, then inside for the dinner. And we liked the idea of giving our money to a non-profit, rather than another type of venue.

Perfect day
This venue is not only stunning, but the staff is amazing too. They worked with us through both hurricanes after our beach venue got destroyed. Jon, the event staff, was excellent with communication and working with our price and timing concerns. They fit us in last minute and made sure our day was perfect. The sunset at this venue is STUNNING! I can’t say enough good things about this venue. I was devastated having to relocate at first, but I am so amazed with how perfect our day ended up being.

Just get married here already!
Choosing Tampa Bay Watch as our venue was the first major decision we made in our wedding planning and we have no regrets! First, working with Jon was a dream, he was so supportive and professional. He's seen all the weddings, knows all the vendors, and has a ton of knowledge to share. TBW provided us with a recommended vendor list which informed how we picked the rest of our vendors and we couldn't have been happier with all of those too.
Second the LOCATION and venue, wow! So beautiful, all the benefits of getting married on the water, but with the lawn, you don't have to worry about sand and dust everywhere. There is ample open, but covered space, so you don't have to worry about bad weather, because they will show you a ton of alternative set ups for if it rains/storms. Your guests will love the balcony for the sunset, cocktail hour, views of the pier and bay. There is an educational room off to the side where the wedding party can get ready and Palm the turtle and other critters hang out to keep you all company :)
Inside, the neutral tones are beautiful. You can decorate a lot, or keep it simple. There's so much flexibility there and Jon and our planners, Simple Weddings, gave us a ton of great advice. The main room works well for 60-80 guests and a dance floor.
In case you can't already tell, we HIGHLY recommend TBW. It is an amazing location with a wonderful group of ppl working there. And we also learned some about their organization and all the work they're doing to keep Tampa Bay clean and flourishing too!

Venue fit us perfectly!
This wedding venue was everything we’d hoped for. We loved that everything goes to ocean conservation which is very important to us, and that they have a rule of no single-use plastics at the venue. What really impressed me was they didn’t change their price at all when I first was looking at a 2021 wedding, and when we finally got to have a wedding in 2024. The location was so gorgeous that we didn’t need any florals to beautify the venue. We didn’t add a wedding arch or ceremony florals - just let the bay speak for itself. Jon was great to work with and explained everything, and the best part was they let us choose our own vendors and bring our own alcohol which helped keep costs down immensely. (Taco Bus catering and Costco alcohol return policy guys!) We opted to not get ready in the science classroom, but it provided so much staging space for the bridal party to change once we arrived. We opted to have our reception on the main lawn, which meant we had to rent tables, a dance floor and lights - but it was so worth it. We had our wedding on May 18th and were worried about bugs - but they weren’t even an issue! The patio is a perfect place to have a cocktail hour, and we had tables setup in their indoor reception space so people could get some AC if they wanted. We were so happy with the venue, and they were very easy to work with. Thank you Jon and Tampa Bay Watch!

WOW!! The Most Beautiful Day of Our Lives
Jon Ziegler, our site coordinator at Tampa Bay Watch, and the venue itself were absolutely exceptional! Jon was not only incredibly caring but also an absolute delight to collaborate with. He generously allowed us, along with our coordinator, Christine Ferkile of Enchanted Weddings and Events, to visit the venue multiple times for measurements, photos, and rehearsals to ensure our vision for the big day was realized. He consistently made time for us, going the extra mile whenever we reached out.
The venue itself was breathtaking. From dolphins frolicking in the bay, which our guests were able to enjoy, to a mesmerizing sunset backdrop during our fire dancers' performance, it truly marked the most beautiful day of our lives. All 150 of our guests raved about it, deeming it the best and most enjoyable wedding they had ever attended. We can't express our gratitude enough to Jon and Tampa Bay Watch. Our wedding photos were so stunning that they went viral on Facebook, garnering over 9.5K likes and hundreds of comments. The perfect waterfront venue!
Wow! This venue was on my radar even before I was engaged and it definitely didn’t disappoint by the time we got married there! We knew we wanted a venue in St Pete since most of our guests were going to be coming from out of town and we knew we wanted something by the water. The venue is absolutely beautiful and totally private! Very minimal decoration needed since the view itself is enough! As soon as we came to visit this venue we knew it was the one. We even saw dolphins playing the day we visited and apparently they came by again on our wedding day. It comes with tables, chairs, linens and Jon who is the best venue coordinator! It’s also a nonprofit that gives back so the price of the venue was well worth it. 10/10 would get married here again!

Perfect St. Pete Area Venue
We could not be happier with our choice to have our wedding at Tampa Bay Watch. We fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it, and it is what ultimately sold us on getting married in the St. Pete area. Jon gave us a heck of a tour and helped us envision what our big day might look like based on past weddings that had been held there. The vendors we brought in had everything they needed to work with to set-up and run things smoothly. The large lawn area backing up against the water, with the sunset… *chef’s kiss*. This is the perfect venue for a mostly outdoor wedding in the area.

There is too much I can say about Jon and Tampa Bay Watch. First of all, the venue was GORGEOUS! I was extremely worried about the wind during the rehearsal, but I felt like a princess blowing in the wind day of. Jon was absolutely awesome in the process and answered any and all of the questions we had in the process. The sunset showed out for us that night and the weather was beautiful for March! The natural beauty at TBW is definitely worth it and I ready to go back as a guest!

Best wedding venue ever
Wedding on 12/09 and it was truly beyond magical. Weather, venue, and everything was perfection. Jon was so easy to work with at the venue and in conjunction with our partial wedding coordinator we could not have asked for a more perfect space or day!
We knew we wanted to have our wedding at Tampa Bay Watch! First and foremost, they are a non-for-profit, where the wedding venue proceeds goes towards protecting Florida's estuaries. Being born and raised in Florida, this was a huge deal and factor in our decision. Additionally, it doesn't hurt that the venue is on the water so there are spectacular views from the lawn, balcony, and just wherever you have your ceremony, reception, and dancing!
We were also super happy that the venue encourages and enforces having an environmentally friendly wedding -- for example, no single use plastics (which would be horrible to have straws, cups, silverware, etc. finding its way into the water). This also aligned exactly how we wanted to have our wedding and made it easier since our vendors were literally not allowed to bring plastic. :-)
Lastly, the cherry on the top was the venue manager Jon. He was attentive, friendly, and a great resource for ensuring our vision would work at the venue! Definitely reach out because he made the experience SO MUCH BETTER! We will definitely miss his banter and fun personality! Also, TBW tends to have a wedding walk every year, hosting vendors that have serviced the venue. This was extremely helpful since we got some great vendors from the walk.
If you are thinking of having your wedding at TBW, seriously stop thinking and book now -- they get filled up quite fast! :-)

Tampa Bay Watch is the most beautiful wedding venue in the area. The views and surrounding environment can’t be beat. Jon is amazing and so easy to work with! It’s a private venue so you don’t have to worry about extra people walking around. It’s right on the water but no sand to worry about waking through. I’d have my wedding all over again and not change a thing about the venue

My new husband and I were engaged in Sept 2018 and pretty much right away started shopping for venues. We knew we wanted a beach wedding, and although TBW is not ON the beach, we pretty much fell in love with the space right after our visit. Our original date was 10/15/20...most venues didn't book that far in advance but Jon worked with us...and then of course we fell victim to postponement, so Jon easily booked our new date of 2/11/21. He answered all my millions of questions and is a great tour guide when you visit. He's super friendly and keeps everything safe covid wise. Perfect wedding venue for a great cause
Tampa Bay Watch was the perfect venue for my October 2019 wedding. I loved the fact that we had the entire place to ourselves and we could do the ceremony outside by the water and the reception inside. The porch is beautiful for watching the sunset and sipping a cocktail. Many of my guests had never heard of the venue or the organization and thought it was a gem. The venue fee is a little steep but it goes to a great cause and the staff is super helpful throughout the process. I was thrilled to have my wedding at a great place while helping an organization committed to helping the environment. Win win! I recommend asking Jamie from the staff to help with coordinating services and/or flowers. She was great!

Exceptional! The best place to get married!
We had a blast at our wedding and Tampa Bay Watch helped make it so. The venue is exceptional: surrounded by nature, serene, with a stunning view of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Getting married at TBW was a dream come true. The venue is absolutely stunning, the proceeds go to an incredible cause, and the staff are amazing. We had our dream wedding at Tampa Bay Watch. All of our mostly out of town guests absolutely loved the space, the beautiful view, and we're still hearing about the gorgeous sunset everyone enjoyed in the evening (made for great pictures too). Jon was super responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. And we loved that our money was going towards a good cause. AMAZING price for what you get too!!! Cannot recommend them enough... it was the perfect spot to have our wedding and we couldn't be happier.

Venue of Wedding Dreams
If you are looking for a private, elegant, beautiful waterfront wedding- look no further than Tampa Bay Watch. We were initially drawn to this place due to the organization's conservation and environmental mission- it feels great to support their cause while also getting hitched! We were met with so much more than an environmental space: Jon, the Bay View room coordinator (AKA Wedding Guru) showed us incredible professionalism, quick communication and knew what to ask us without us knowing what kind of things we ought to be thinking about. Jon knows this venue inside and out, due to the number of weddings he has witnessed here. He was SO helpful to all our vendors, our photographer, and even my maid of honor and father as he helped us time when to begin walking down the aisle.
Our expectations were exceeded. There are so many small details that, when looking back, were flawless, seamless. Even if there were small hiccups during the day, they were handled smoothly due to Jon's professionalism and his excellent communication with my family and wedding party. There were likely many more details that he handled that we may never know of! (Thanks Jon!!!!)
Another reason Tampa Bay Watch makes for a great wedding venue is the way the building and land is angled for sunsets. We had a 4:30 PM ceremony start time (January wedding). As soon as ceremony ended, our photographer was ogling over the incredible lighting she was able to work with for our photos and portraits.
Many family members and friends approached me later and told me a dolphin was jumping in the background, during our ceremony as we were saying our vows...magical!

Excellent Wedding Venue!
Jon at the Tampa Bay Watch was so helpful! He helped us through the entire wedding planning process. The other staff were helpful and courteous when we came to visit the venue randomly for vision and planning. On the day of, we had valet parking set up by the venue and an on-site coordinator (Jamey) to help us with anything that came up. The grounds are stunning and well kept - plush, green grass and clean shoreline. The venue is absolutely gorgeous - the girls finished getting ready in the bridal suite, our ceremony was on the grass, the cocktail hour and sunset were on the outdoor deck overlooking the beautiful water, and the reception space was perfect for a party of ~100 people. The reception space would not work as well for larger parties (say, 130+), but double check with Jon. The cost of the venue was a little shocking at first, as we expected from reading other reviews. However, this cost is WORTH IT. This venue is stunning, you will not regret the extra cost. Also, they put this money toward keeping Tampa Bay clean and wildlife rescue and educational programs - so to me, this allocation of funds was meaningful. We had such a beautiful day! Of course the weather is always a concern in FL - we lucked out, but even if it were to rain, the "back-up" plans we came up with (under the venue or up on the deck) would have been beautiful as well. We can't thank Jon and the Tampa Bay Watch for the most perfect wedding day we could have imagined!

The Venue location and the different options they have available for the ceremony and reception made it easy with having a plan A and a plan B - depending on the Florida Weather with rain showers . If you’re looking for the perfect venue on the water, look no further! We had our wedding in April at the Tampa Bay Watch and it could not have been more perfect. We knew we wanted our wedding to be on or near the Gulf but really hated the idea of having a beach wedding and being in the sand. Thankfully this venue offers a waterside wedding on grass. No sand in sight! The venue faces the west and is just beautiful for sunset photos. Jon was wonderful to work with and helped with any question or request we had. The fact that the Tampa Bay Watch is also a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of the Tampa Bay. I loved that our venue costs all went to help our local area, and really solidified our choice for the venue. Don’t let this venue pass you by!

The coordinator of weddings and events, Jon Ziegler, was wonderful to work with and even stepped in last minute to marry us! We would highly recommend this venue to anyone, especially to people who want to impress out of town guests with the beauty that Tampa Bay has to offer. The best part about Tampa Bay Watch is that they are a non profit organization. All money you pay for the event space goes right back into the community for their children’s summer camps and conservation efforts. Having your wedding here allows you to really make your wedding unique. They allow vendors of all kinds to cater so you can have any type of food you want. Definitely a great place for a beautiful, individualized Florida wedding.

Tampa Bay Watch was our dream wedding venue and it did not disappoint on our actual wedding day! Jon and his staff were incredibly helpful and responsive during our wedding planning process and are a joy to work with. The venue itself is picturesque and we were lucky to have perfect weather on our day. All of our wedding guests loved the beautiful water views during the ceremony and cocktail hour and have continued to rave about the sunset. Our photos from our day turned out gorgeous, in part to our wonderful photographer, but also because of the beautiful scenery at Tampa Bay Watch. We cannot recommend this venue enough!

We recently had our wedding at Tampa Bay Watch and I cannot express how wonderful it was. The venue and setting is just beautiful! Jon was so easy to work with and the event went so smooth. We brought in all outside vendors and had the ceremony and most of the reception out on the lawn with string lights hanging across. I would highly recommend this venue. It is especially awesome because you are also supporting a great non-profit organization focused on cleaning up the bay that we enjoy year-round and our guest enjoyed during their visit.

The Tampa Bay Watch and Jon Z. are amazing!! We are so happy we had our wedding here - its the perfect venue - private, on the water, unique building with amazing views, and you can choose your own vendors. This was the first venue we looked at, and after seeing a few more, there was no comparison. The lawn is gorgeous - perfect spot for a ceremony on the water, we had our cocktail hour upstairs on the enormous veranda, and reception inside.
Jon was so easy to work with and get ahold of, my mom and I were constantly contacting him and he took it all in stride. He went the distance to work with us and our needs - THANK YOU JON!!! You were amazing!!
We felt great about supporting the Tampa Bay Watch and their efforts to restore the bay. This facility is so beautiful, I am already wishing I could come back for another party!! Thanks TBW for making our wedding so special and beautiful :-)

Go to Tampa Bay Watch FIRSy when you look for a location for your or wedding or any event. It will save you a lot of effort. There is no reason you will want to pay for any place else when you see it...gorgeous views, easy access, plenty of parking, elevators, you can control your own catering and alcohol, fun dressing area and Jon Zigler, the event coordinator is wonderful.
I did my wedding there and everything went flawlessly. Just getting on the property calmed me down. We had the ceremony on the lawn, the cocktail hour on the upstairs porch and dinner and dancing in the main room. Thank you to everyone who made this day so fun and easy for us!
I want my ashes spread here while people drink champagne and eat cake as the sun sets.

The Tampa Bay Watch and Jon are literally amazing. I seriously believe this is the best wedding venue in St. Pete (even better than the resort hotels!).
The venue is completely private and on the water, so there's no distractions during the ceremony or reception. It has an ENORMOUS 2nd-story deck, which has a beautiful view of the sunset. Jon was right, "During sunset, everyone will be out on the deck watching it." The best part is that this organization is a key player in the community by holding field trips for local schools and actively cleaning up the bay area. Your venue payment goes to restoring and preserving the waterways, which is far more desirable than boosting a hotel's profits.
Jon is THE reason we enjoyed booking this venue so much. He is so welcoming and flexible and "has seen it all." He will go the distance to make your day special while clearly communicating the boundaries to protect the venue and the outdoor space.
I would definitely book a few extra hours to decorate, because you'll want as much time as possible with your guests to actually enjoy the space.
I would give them 6 stars if I could!

The venue is outstanding! You cannot do better for atmosphere with the water view and building. Jon Ziegler was incredibly helpful with every aspect of the wedding. His sense of humor helped a lot too! I highly recommend TBW for your wedding...and take advantage of the vendor's they recommend. Absolutely loved my wedding venue! It is so easy to transform this place into your perfect wedding setting. Jon was extremely responsive & helpful throughout the process and we can't thank him and his team enough! It was awesome that the chairs and tables are included with the venue too! TBW offers a storage room and kitchen which I know was key for my caterer and DJ throughout the night. I wouldn't change anything about the venue - thank so much TBW!

We can not say enough great things about Tampa Bay Watch! Staff: Jon was very helpful and accommodating- a gem to work with! His calm presence during set up was much needed and appreciated. He provided a list of recommended vendors and gave us tips on how to set up the room. Facilities: When I mentioned Tampa Bay Watch to other local vendors their responses were all the same... Oh wow! We love that venue, it has a classy feel and amazing views. I couldn't agree more! Our photos look amazing. Even the photos posted from friend's cell phones look like the background is painted. Due to the natural beauty of the bay you really don't need to over due decorations. If you have out of town guests they will be impressed with the location. Plus they get to see the science lab and local wildlife.

This venue is amazing! Some of the best views around! My wedding guests are still talking about how great the view was. (An added bonus are the great things Tampa Bay Watch does to preserve the bay and marine life!) Whatever your vision is, Tampa Bay Watch is beautiful enough to bring it to life!

I LOVED having my wedding at Tampa Bay Watch! We had the wedding on a Monday evening, and the weather was perfect! The view from the ceremony and veranda deck were stunning. Everyone loved it! I was able to bring in everything that I wanted, from nautical centerpieces to recyclable bamboo plates, and it was perfect. Being able to hand-pick my vendors allowed us to save a lot of money. Jon (the Community Room coordinator) was so helpful throughout the planning process. I would recommend this venue to any bride!

Jon was awesome! So very helpful with all the details, suggestions, etc. All our guest complimented us on the venue, how unique and personal it was. I highly recommend Tampa Bay Watch. And if you want invites made with a picture of the venue in it, I have a friend that did them for us, They were awesom and very inexpensive. Just tell Jon to give you Jaime's mom's number. :) We also did the tables with light houses, candles and shells, it was gorgeous. If interested we can send you pics and a lot of the decorations are inexpensively for sale.

Tampa Bay Watch was the PERFECT wedding venue for us. Growing up in the Tampa Bay Area and now living across the country, it was hard planning a wedding back at home, but Tampa Bay Watch was worth it to capture the classic Florida beauty that we wanted.
Laura was there for us through the entire process even with my cross country emailing and met with us multiple times to go over everything which I greatly appreciated, her counterpart who was there the day of the ceremony was amazing and made sure everything ran smoothly.
I cannot tell you how many guests, from both out of town and people who had spent their whole lives in Florida, came up to us and raved about the venue, wanted to know how we had found such a gem, and told us how beautiful it was! It was gorgeous and the day was perfect, I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else!

Our venue was just perfect. Even though we booked it with the hope of a sunset which was ultimately rained out, it was a gorgeous spot on the water for our big day. Laura is a saint. I became so close to her throughout the planning process that I consider her a friend, and I spent a good hour on the phone with her the day after our wedding just going over everything! When we ran into an issue with another staffer the day-of the wedding, she came at the drop of a hat after just one text message and smoothed everything over.
I love Tampa Bay Watch's mission and would book it all over again, rain and all. It is pricier than other waterfront venues in the St. Pete Beach area, but it is worth every penny.

Oh my! How wonderful it was to work with Laura and her team at Tampa Bay Watch to prepare for our daughter's wedding. Our daughter lives outside of the state and found this beautiful venue online. My husband & I went to see TBW and confirmed it was the perfect place for our daughter to get married. Everything was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I had the most amazing wedding April 19th 2013 at the Tampa Bay Watch. The venue is absolutely breathtaking being on the water, especially during the sunset. Laura McMurdock was our event coordinator. She was extremely helpful throughout our entire planning process, but mostly, on the day of. She ran around like crazy making sure everything was perfect for our big day. We had some issues with missing vases for our hightop centerpieces and Laura found beautiful matching vases to take their place. There were many other details she worked out for us that people told me about the day after the wedding. She made sure things ran smoothly and made sure we didn't have to stress over anything. We were so grateful for her! I would definitely 100% recommend this venue.

My husband and I are sailors so we really wanted to find a beautiful venue with a view of the water. We struggled with the indoor/outdoor question and the Tampa Bay Watch was the perfect solution. We got the best of both- The room is beautiful with hard wood floors and windows that provide a gorgeous untouched view of Tierra Verde, the water and mangroves. The porch is huge and can accommodate a large group. The sunset was beautiful and we were so happy with our wedding at the Tampa Bay Watch. Laura is very helpful and sweet and helpful from the day you meet til the end of your wedding night!

You exceeded our expectation in many ways. First off, your patience and guidance was bar none. After just a couple of phone calls (due to distance) and a lunch together you delivered a incredibly elegant beach wedding that my friends / family will be talking about for a very long time. Some of my friends (aka wedding snobs) said that was the best wedding they have ever been to yet it was a percentage of the cost in comparison.
Your tasteful suggestions and careful consideration of each family member really showed that you cared not only about our special day but also made members of the wedding party (especially my daughter) feel included and proud. For that we thank you!
The fluidity of the way you managed the ceremony, details in the décor, to changing of music tracks, etc all while ensuring the attention remained on Brittany and I is a true gift that you were blessed with.

Waterfront, grassy area, wide veranda, very large room, elevator, huge room for girls to dress... this place is perfect. It is romantic, it is fun, it is a complete package. Some things to consider, they provide linens, tables, chairs, projector, screen, personal help all during the event. The vendors from their list know what they are doing, how to do it, and what is expected for set up and clean up. We had 17 round tables, a cake table, sweetheart table, escort card table and sparkler table AND still had lots of room on the dance floor. If Laura tells you something can be done, trust her, it can be done. She knows how to set things up, she stepped in and made last minute changes for us with the vendors, she coordinated all the right things at all the right times. She is the most positive and helpful person to work with on a wedding. We experienced a wonderful weekend and we thank all the folks of TBW!

Gorgeous venue. A bit on the small side for larger wedding, but we just need to get creative with the various spaces available. They were pretty flexible with my crazy ideas including hitting biodegradable goftballs into the gulf. Tracy and Laura were a huge help on the day of the wedding. We were a do-it-yourself Bride and Groom and during set up while we decorated and set up, Tracy and Laura folded 150 napkins for me!

This venue is stunning. Words cannot describe how perfect your day will be if you are at this site. People kept commenting on how did we find this place because it is so beautiful and serene. We had cocktails on the deck and there was ample space for all the guests. The room is very simple, but it certainly matched what we wanted for our wedding....simple elegance. We had pictures with the sun setting (our reception time was specifically set for the pictures at sunset) and they turned out so amazingly. We loved working with Laura and consider her to be a friend now. Highly recommend this site for future brides.

When my husband and I checked out Tampa Bay Watch we both immediately fell in love. We thought it was beautiful and knew they were there for a great cause. Then, we met Laura and knew that Tampa Bay Watch was our venue; she was so approachable and we could tell she loved her job. The day of our wedding, we were greeted by another member of their staff, Tracy, and she was just as excellent. She was there every step of the way to make our wedding run smooth. We love TBW and we are were so blessed to have our wedding at such a wonderful place. Thanks again TBW, Laura, and Tracy for making our wedding beautiful!

This was the one and only place we wanted to get married. We live in Washington DC, but were going to get married in St Pete where my family lives. Once we saw TBW, everything else paled in comparison. The stunning setting on the water, the beautiful lighthouse, and the fact that your money is going to a great cause all sealed the deal for us. In addition to that - Laura McMurdock is the BEST. She was beyond helpful and accommodating, answering every email and question right away, giving us great advice on where to begin the vendor search, how best to arrange tables, you name it. She's done a million weddings and it shows. We were nervous about coordinating everything from so far away, but Laura helped make everything much less stressful and we're so grateful to her for that. And TBW is the perfect place rain or shine. It rained on our wedding, but our ceremony was just as beautiful on the deck as it would've been on the lawn. We're so happy we picked TBW!

It was an excellent experience having our ceremony and reception at Tampa Bay Watch. The venue is gorgeous and Laura (POC there) was extremely helpful and easy to work with. She was very flexible and helped calm any worries that we even thought about having....and she is always smiling!
If given the choice, we would absolutely have our wedding there again. We will never forget the great experience we had at TBW.

it was awesome! the perfect location for a wedding and reception in one. Laura was fantastic to work with really helping me to feel at ease through planning wedding. I would suggest to future brides to include the sunset as part of their reception. Its beautiful, entertaining, and great for pictures.... Laura, the site coordinator, was wonderful! It was like having a wedding coordinator the day of, and prior to the wedding she was full of helpful advice. My wedding could not have gone more smoothly :) Tampa Bay Watch is also just a beautiful place to have a wedding. All our guests keep telling us what a great wedding we had!

Laura Murdock was fabulous to work with. She was patient, calm, fun and a lot of help come wedding day. I highly recommend using this venue. Beautiful and clean! Chairs and table are include for indoor use, which saved us 100's of dollars! You can have both the ceremony and reception at one location, which saves your guest the stress of traveling and saves some money for your wallet! I had the best wedding day imaginable thanks to Tampa Bay Watch!! Thank you!!

My husband and I searched the entire state of Florida almost for the perfect wedding location where we could have everything in one spot. We stumbled upon The Watch and fell in love. This venue is perfect because you get a waterview location with a beautiful reception room overlooking the sunset. Our ceremony felt so unique because of the serene environment, calm water and the sound of seagulls. It is an excellent alternative to a beach wedding because there is grass instead of sand as well, but still only a few feet from the shore. Laura at Tampa Bay Watch is fantastic to work with as well and was so flexible throughout our planning process. She would even meet us on weekends to let us in to view the venue. I would absolutely recommend this venue to everyone interested in something off the beaten path, surrounded by nature and with impeccable views.

Tampa Bay Watch was top notch! Laura was so easy to work with. She just wanted everything about the day to be perfect. The venue is breath-taking. For a waterside wedding, this place is the best. And the reception room is versatile for whatever set up you need. We had a band and 150 guests. The room was filled tight at that number (we broke down 2 tables to create more dance floor after dinner) but it was still gorgeous and comfortable. Laura took such good care of us!

The people at the Tampa Bay Watch were extremely professional and made our wedding more beautiful than we could of imagined! The view was beautiful and the atmosphere was relaxing. If you choose to have your ceremony here it is very private and intimate from any onlookers. Laura made sure that everything ran smoothly before and during the wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Tampa Bay Watch. I originally booked with a different coordinator there and when there was a personnel change, I have to admit I was a little nervous. I was so foolish to think that there would be any loss in quality or customer service because Laura McMurdock was the best! She had suggestions and tips that were extremely helpful and was always accessible should I need to speak to her. She suggested vendors that were amazing and even saved me hundreds of dollars on transportation costs alone! The night before at rehearsal, she even took over some tasks to help me set up for the reception (including running to the hardware store for something I forgot). As far as the venue goes, my wedding was on November 7, 2009 and the weather was perfect, the sunset beautiful and my guests could not stop talking about the view and location. This place spoke to me and my now husband and we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding and were on cloud nine on our day when it exceeding our expectations. My advice would be to take advantage of the classic Florida feel of the location and play up on its best features. You don't need to over do it at a place like this because the venue does all the talking for itself. We used the colors of the beach, left by boat instead of limo, had a steel drummer for cocktail hour on the beautiful lawn and ate dinner by sunset looking out the huge windows. I look forward to returning here year after year to visit and relive the memories. Thanks TBW!

We love the Tampa Bay Watch. We love that our money went towards funding a great organization that educates on environmental conservation and restoration. The natural surroundings are absolutely beautiful and can be enjoyed from their wrap-around deck...especially during the sunset. They are extremely flexible - You can create the wedding of your dreams without limitations...we did! Laura rocks! She is fantastic and VERY helpful. I contacted her several times for advice on vendors and she's full of ideas. She's also patient and always got right back to me. Our wedding at the Tampa Bay Watch was everything we wanted and more!

Tampa Bay Watch is a beautiful location for a weddding. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They're flexible and are open to any ideas you have. The price is expensive but it is worth it for the beautiful location and view. And we loved the fact that all of the money goes to help a non-profit coastal restoration organization! During my wedding I was so glad that I chose TBW as my reception site, I could not have found a more perfect place for my seaside-themed wedding.

By far one of the best venues in Tampa. This is such a hidden gem and we are so glad we had the opportunity to have this venue be our wedding location. The views are stunning (straight out of a magazine), the reception area is perfect, and the people are beyond helpful. Jon is the best in the business. My wife and I absolutely would choose this place 10 out of 10 times.

Can't Beat The Views!
This was the very first venue we toured, and we absolutely fell in love! It was WAY over our budget, but we thought we could make up the cost difference in other areas (which ended up being incredibly difficult to pull-off, and really did not happen). We were looking for a space that didn’t lock us into any catering or bar vendors, but also provided tables and chairs so we did not have to also rent those. We both love to dance and happen to be sweaty people, so we also wanted somewhere inside with AC, but were hoping for some outdoor space as well. TBW checked all of those boxes! They have white chairs you can use outside for the ceremony, a variety of tables and wooden chairs to use in the reception space, even ivory table linens you can use. The venue has a lawn and is on the water, there is a covered veranda on the second story (where the reception space is), and the only thing between you and the sunset are some keys! We felt it was the perfect mix between things being provided and DIY, plus those views cannot be beat. OH- and Tampa Bay Watch is a non-profit dedicated to the protection and restoration of Tampa Bay! When COVID-19 hit and we had to postpone our plans, the venue was very easy to work with and super flexible in giving us the option to reschedule or cancel all together with no penalty. We are super excited to host our sequel ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception here in December.

This is the best kept secret in Tampa Bay. What an absolutely gorgeous facility. it's a beach wedding without the sand and the crowds. The room has wall to wall windows that overlook the bay and the lawn is great for an outside ceremony. The deck is amazing - we had the bar set up at one corner and the buffet down one side.
It's a little pricey to rent on the weekend but the money goes to a good cause. I would recommend a wedding planner as there is a lot to coordinate and although I did it myself, it was a handful. They supply a vendor list that is very helpful.
The place is so pretty on it's own you need very little additional decorations.
We dealt with Laura McMurdock and she was very helpful and prompt in answering questions or offering suggestions.
All the guests just raved about the venue.

Laura was a joy to work with at Tampa Bay Watch! I found this venue online while planning my wedding from across the country, and I instantly knew it was a perfect fit for me! Laura worked with me to find a good date and recommend vendors in the area. When I finally arrived at TBW only 3 weeks before the wedding, I was in love! The community center was gorgeous and the backdrop of the bay was just stunning. It was great to be able to create my wedding on a clean slate and have wonderful people to guide me. Tampa Bay Watch is a beautiful venue with lots of opportunities to create the event you desire. Although we had planned to have our ceremony on the beautiful lawn with the Gulf of Mexico behind us, because of a wicked tropical storm we ended up holding the ceremony on the very roomy deck that surrounds the reception area. Everything worked out quite well, especially considering the stormy conditions, and TBW was very accommodating. Some dolphins even came by the TBW dock to impress the guests after the ceremony. We recommend holding events at TBW if not for the beautiful building and location, then for the opportunity to support a great local organization dedicated to preserving the environment of Tampa Bay.

The Tampa Bay Watch is an awesome way to have an "on the water wedding". The location is beautiful and private, so our wedding really felt like it was the only thing happening in the world. At the same time, it's close to the beaches, restaurants and resorts of St Pete Beach, so our out-of-town guests were able to enjoy themselves over the entire weekend. Laura is very easy and flexible to work with and has a lot of experience with the vendors in the area.

Laura, the coordinator, is so easy going and makes things happen. She worked her butt off during the wedding to make sure everything was going as planned. When we had issues with the caterer, she handled them and I didn't even know about it until after! What a great experience overall! :)
