I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Tall Guy. From our tasting to our wedding day, the team made us feel so cared for and valued - I cannot recommend them enough. The menu options are absolutely incredible, and the time taken to craft the perfect menu, with personalized options and creative and delicious choices beyond the usual "chicken or steak" options, adds such a special touch to the wedding. We were also so excited about Tall Guy's "farm to table" mentality, and their seasonal choices to support local Wisconsin farmers. With lots of out of town guests, that "taste of Wisconsin" was so important to us. Our point of contact, Alissa, was beyond patient and wonderful. From an easy to read invoice, to a prompt response on questions, it was really easy to know exactly what you were getting and track every change. Alissa was incredible when our event downsized due to COVID-19, and the team worked with us to re-schedule our original April 2020 event with kindness and compassion, which were so valued. On the day of our wedding, the food was outstanding, and the entire staff working the event were professional, kind and accommodating. From grabbing my bouquet and putting it in water for me, to making sure that my husband and I got fed during our cocktail hour, the team was so warm and kind. During dinner, the team handled every transition with ease, and helped to make sure the whole thing ran so smoothly. Our guests were wow'ed by the food. I don't think anyone expects the food at weddings to be THAT good, but Tall Guy really makes you feel like you're eating at a 5 star restaurant. We also worked with Tall Guy for our bartending, and the custom cocktails were perfectly executed. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about our very professional and lovely bartender, and she made sure that the drinks were flowing with ease and such a professional demeanor. If you're looking for catering that really takes it up a notch, Tall Guy should absolutely be your go to. They are the best at what they do, and I would hire them a thousand times over for my wedding. Thank you, Team Tall Guy!!! -

The staff was beyond amazing serving food in the safest way possible during this pandemic, but also just making sure everyone ate enough and enjoyed their time. The food was so incredible (I want to have another party just so they can cater it!) and there were enough options for everyone to enjoy delicious food, no matter what style of eating they follow (vegetarian, Keto, paleo, etc). Every bite of food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and professional! -

Tall Guy and a Grill (and working with Elyse!) was the best decision I could have made for my wedding! Their quality of food and level of service surpassed any wedding I have ever been to. Their food is phenomenal and the presentation was gorgeous. (Several guests commented it was "By far the best and prettiest wedding meal they've ever had!")
COVID threw us a lot of curveballs, but the creativity behind Tall Guy made no task impossible! They were there every step of the way and pulled out all the stops to make it a 5-star evening. BOOK TALL GUY FOR YOUR NEXT EVENT! -

We love everything about Tall Guy and a Grill Catering! We were drawn to them because of their locally sourced farm-to-table style. Good catered food is hard to find, but they definitely have it down. The staff was very responsive during the planning process and was accommodating to our changing needs during COVID. We had to change venues close to our wedding date and they were so helpful in making the process seamless...they even took time to tour our new venue to make sure that they provided us the best possible service day of! We highly recommend Tall Guy! -

The food was exceptional. Tall Guy & a Grill transformed the venue from ceremony to an elegant reception room and a magnificent buffet for 200+ seamlessly. From beginning to end, everything about Tall Guy and a Grill impressed me. Their extensive menu selection and incredible farm to table, local selection is absolutely mouthwatering. After our menu tasting, forget the wedding, we were solely excited just to have the opportunity to eat the food again almost one year later. Every guest left completely satisfied with the taste and portion size (although they wish they had more to take home).
Melissa and Elena had such awesome communication with us and each other. They were such a joy to work with, and truly made sure our visions came through. I found it particularly outstanding that their team ensured the bride and groom were not only fed first, but had a separate plate of appetizers reserved at the head table as well. Great Job to EVERYone at Tall Guy! -

Our vision for our rehearsal dinner was a casual wine bar/charcuterie theme and wow, was it amazing! Dan and his team are so creative and everyone raved about the food. For lunch the day of, they assembled a build-your-own sandwich bar and our wedding party devoured it! If you're looking for a great experienced local caterer who will keep you well fed for your wedding, Tall Guy is it! -

Had my final meeting with Nina, and I didn't realize that i dropped my keys on the side street in a snow bank, and she was so so kind to go out and look and find them for me! Cam Sent on 07/02/2017Tall Guy and a Grill catering was awesome! They put together our catering not only for our reception but also the lunch for the bridesmaids and bride at the salon prior. The food and service were impeccable. They were unobtrusive during the ceremony and set up quickly thereafter. The bartender was polite and friendly and had my drink (diet Coke without ice) down after one visit to see him. I really loved that they had gluten-free options for my mom and I because we both have celiac disease and that was wonderful. They were very accommodating and I really appreciated their services. Hats off for a job well done!
