AMAZING!!! Do not even question it- go ahead and book them!!! The most talented duo hands down! From the moment we booked them, Tall + Small Photography was so communicative up front. They sent out a very organized form that expedites the photos allowing you to maximize your time on wedding day, and it also is an extremely helpful planning tool. I did not have a wedding planner, but Tall + Small Photography helped immensely with the wedding planning process because of their thoroughness, which made my big day possible. Second, they arrived early to our venue and brought such good energy to our wedding day! They remained calm and composed, while creating such a fun atmosphere! My family and friends all absolutely loved working with them, and said it was one of the highlights of the wedding. Third, THE PICTURES! I was blown away with the turnaround time and the quality of the pictures. They have such a creative eye to make the most of your venue and utilize the time of day to capture the most special moments. Having two photographers working together to get different angles really makes the most of your wedding photos. They also do an amazing job of perfectly representing a moment in time (such as guests dancing at the reception, family member's reactions, etc). All of the photos I got back are top notch, making it impossible to narrow down for an instagram post :) I would recommend them to anyone. I would go through the hassle of getting married again just for the chance to work with them again! -

I cant begin to describe how happy me and my husband are with the service provided by Tall and Small. From the start they have been a pleasure to work with. Highly communicative whenever we had questions or requests. Respond to our inquiries straight away, and had clear and concise planning for the event day long before the day of the wedding.
At the wedding Mike was a pleasure to work with. He was incredibly friendly and fun to work with. Took all the photos we asked for as well as plenty of amazing unplanned moments. Capturing the feeling of the day.
The finished photos were sent back to us in no time. They looked amazing!!!! The colours popped and looked amazing! They are wonderful and will be cherished for the years to come!
I cant recommend Tall and Small enough!! Go with these guys and you wont be disappointed.

Working with Mike and Erin on our wedding day was absolutely wonderful. They gave us just enough guidance to get beautiful shots, and moved quickly, showcasing their professionalism and experience. They have such a calming nature that made me feel so at ease while they were shooting. We were blown away with the images we received back (and such a fast turnaround!). I knew when I first saw their work that they would do a great job shooting events with beautiful landscape backgrounds and they delivered. Looking through the photos we also realized how special it was having both of them as every single moment was captured, especially getting ready before our first look. The value of their services was unmatched - highly recommend!! -

Mike was amazing, as were the images for our engagement and wedding! We would book him all over again and hope to work with him in the future. As an architect, I cared about having creative/thoughtful photos and Mike definitely delivered. He also helped us to make decisions for the timing of our wedding day and gave direction for posing,etc when needed. We genuinely loved having him be a part of celebrating with us and couldn't be happier with our photos. -

I'M OBSESSED!!! I'm going to fall behind at work because I'll be too busy looking at our wedding photos! Thank you, so, so much. Not only for capturing our special day and providing us with these amazing images, but for everything. Tall&Small's professionalism, down-to-earth approachability, and the way they put us at ease throughout was wonderful. They also got our photos back to us SUPER quick which is a huge plus. You won't regret hiring them. -

Fun and talented photographers!
Mike and Erin are a dream team! We felt so comfortable on our day with them behind the lens. We’ve generally not found this to be the case with previous photographers and feeling comfortable on the day was essential and very much appreciated. In the months/weeks leading up to our reception, Mike was very communicative and helped us nail down our photo list and timing for formal portraits. He and Erin were able to get through about 40 combinations of people in about as many minutes—the people-wrangling was very impressive! Mike and Erin also made sure to get all of the photos we wanted both before the party started and shortly after sunset, and also had a great eye for photo-worthy moments throughout the reception. We opted for the photobooth add-on, which I would highly recommend to anyone planning an event. It was a great way to get some extra (and unique) photos of people being silly—including the photographers themselves! -

HIGHLY recommend hiring TALL + small for any and all photography needs! Mike & Erin are so easygoing and fun, which is great for a vendor that is truly in your face all day at your wedding. Our friends and family loved them. Their prices are super reasonable for the area. And most importantly... the photos are BEAUTIFUL! Can't recommend them highly enough! -

Best photographer in Charlottesville!
We hired Mike to photograph our daughter's wedding and he was amazing. He was very responsive and professional. He captured every detail of the wedding day and did so in an unobtrusive, fun way. We had the photos 2 weeks after the wedding day and were amazed at how beautiful they were. It rained on her wedding day and he brought a clear umbrella to photograph the bride and groom at night. The shots in the rain were our favorite shots - very impressive. He was fantastic - I can't recommend them highly enough. -

These guys are so so good, we can’t stress enough. Mike did our engagement shoot and was super easy going and easy to get along with. He worked with us, going to two separate locations to make sure we got the sunset photos we wanted in the best spots possible. For the big day- he kept us on our timeline and made sure we got all of the group shots we wanted. He somehow managed to be behind the scenes but still capture all of our special moments. I didn’t even hear any shutters during the ceremony! He showed up early and got awesome pictures of our venue and we absolutely loved our pictures. Turnaround time was also SUPER quick. Would highly recommend. -

We worked with Erin and Mike for our wedding in September and absolutely loved working with them. Here are a few reasons they were amazing:
1. Very professional and organized - they'll have you fill out a detailed questionnaire so they are on the same page with you
2. Make you feel very comfortable - I feel so awkward when people take my picture. They did a really good job of putting me at ease.
3. Go with the flow- Other than the big family photos, I didn't know exactly what pictures I wanted taken a the wedding. I just ask them to go with they thought would be good. They got amazing pictures!
4. BEAUTIFUL Pictures - we love the photos they took both for our wedding and engagement shoot. They got some amazing candid shots and some beautiful artistic ones as well.
5. Lots of Pictures - They took a ton of pictures and got great coverage of the entire event -

Mike and Erin are the best! Not only are they super easy to work with but they have a creative vision that created some amazing pictures for us! Neither my husband nor I are super comfortable in front of the camera but Mike and Erin made us feel totally at ease. We would highly recommend them! They really captured our wedding day perfectly and we couldn’t be happier with the results. -

We used Mike and Erin for our wedding, and they were so great! It was easy to communicate with them leading up to the wedding as they were very responsive. They went over all of our photography wants in advance so the wedding day was a breeze. They were so fun and accommodating on our actual wedding day. We got the photos back quickly, and they all look amazing! There are so many, and they are all truly amazing. We highly recommend Tall + small photography, and we will be using them for future photography needs! -

We thoroughly enjoyed working with TALL & small leading up to and on our wedding day. In addition to excellent communication prior to our wedding, we felt comfortable and at ease working with Mike on our wedding day, even though it was the first time we met! In addition to putting us at ease, he was extremely organized and professional. And we could not be happier with the photos he shared afterwards. He did a beautiful job capturing the important moments of the day, in both formal and informal shots. We definitely want to work with them again in the future! -

In addition to creating beautiful photos (we got tons of compliments on them, and we're making a book!), Tall+Small captured moments and emotions that we'd never want to forget. Hugs, laughs, goofy faces, several rounds of Sink the Biz... they got it all! During formal shots, they set everyone at ease and got through it all quickly, so we could get back to the fun (and fun pictures!). Friendly, creative, and fun to work with, I can't recommend Tall+Small highly enough.

Megan Sent on 01/30/2014Everything about Mike and Erin (Tall and Small, respectively) is perfect. They are by far the best duo to work with and their photography speaks for itself. They were so flexible with some of our crazy needs (like making them drive out of their way to come shoot our engagement photos) and helped us figure out exactly what we needed on the day of our wedding. We got our pictures back 2 1/2 weeks after the wedding and I haven't been able to stop looking at them - they captured not only the significant moments, but the little ones as well. They were so discreet on the wedding day that there are pictures we didn't even remember seeing them be around to take! They are so easy to talk to and respond to emails very quickly. They have plenty of advice if you have any questions and are willing to what it takes to make whatever you want, happen. I still am amazed with everything when I look at their pictures and am so thankful we chose photographers who captured everything so clearly. Their photos are lifelike and bright, without looking one bit overdone or overly retouched. The pictures make it look exactly like how the moment was, which is all you could really want from your wedding day. I would happily recommend them to anyone! -

Rebecca Sent on 07/25/2013Mike and Erin are so incredibly talented!! We got our photos back a few days ago (super fast turn-around), and they are PHENOMENAL! Absolutely GORGEOUS! These guys are fun, super easy to work with, quick to respond to any question, and all you have to do is peek at their website to see the quality of their work. My mom says she wishes she could send them back in time to photograph her wedding! Also, the photobooth is worth every penny. Our guests had a blast with it! Half my friends on facebook are using photobooth pictures as their profile pic! -

People have raved about our wedding pictures and I couldn't be happier with them myself. I highly recommend!
