Hiring Catherine as our photographer for our recent June wedding is a decision we would make over and over and over again!!! Catherine was absolutely incredible to work with from the very first day that we communicated and we seriously cannot thank her enough for capturing our day so perfectly. When I reflect on some of our favorite moments of the day, it was taking photos with Catherine! She has a way of providing calm to chaos, makes you feel comfortable each and every step of the way, and HYPES you up 24/7! The support that we felt throughout our wedding from Catherine is something that will stay with me forever. Our day simply wouldn't have been what is was without her and there aren't enough words for me to express how grateful I am to have booked Tales & Trees as our photographer! Seriously - if you haven't booked her yet WHAT ARE YOU DOING! Thank you Catherine for everything! You are absolutely amazing at what you do! -

We worked with Catherine (owner of Tales & Trees Photography) for our May 2nd 2025 wedding at Excelsior in Lancaster PA. I actually found Catherine’s work via Instagram while I was browsing for a photographer for our wedding. My husband’s father has been a photographer for 30+ years so it was important to my husband that whoever we chose was the right fit. While I know everyone has their own style, we chose Catherine’s for her natural looking, elegant and beautiful work.
We worked with Catherine for both our engagement and wedding photos so it was nice getting to know her through both processes– she’s always encouraging, ready to hype you up and good at direction. My husband is not one that likes to be in front of the camera but she let us be us– with some tweaks and we enjoyed joking around with her. It was such a quick and painless process for photos that I’d definitely suggest Catherine for those that aren’t exactly the type to want to be in front of the camera.
On the day of, she kept us moving quickly and easily. Her assistant, Autumn, was so kind and both of them just did their thing, without a whole lot of fuss. I’m thankful that we were able to have a planning meeting ahead of the wedding so I didn’t have to think through any of that anyways. She worked easily with all of our vendors, including our content creator that was on-site as well.
The following morning after our wedding I already had sneak peeks in my inbox before I even really got up and moving which just attests to her professionalism. While we haven’t gotten our full album yet, I’ve been drooling over the beautiful photos she’s already sent. I would recommend Tales & Trees Photography if you’re looking for a wedding, couples, or just general photoshoot– Catherine is a true joy to work with. -

The Absolute Best!
Catherine is the best! She photographed a friends wedding and we fell in love with her photos & knew we had to book. From the beginning she was so responsive and helpful. She took the time to meet with us beforehand to plan out our shot list and ensure that nothing was missed. On the day of, she was the ultimate hype woman. She captured everything we needed, helped us stay ahead of schedule, and made sure we both felt comfortable the entire time. Our wedding day was truly the most easy going and calm day and I credit so much of that to Catherine and her energy! We loved getting our sneak peak the next morning & our full album came a month after. Every photo exceeded our expectations. We can't thank her enough!! -

Catherine is such a joy to work with. She is so calm and easy going throughout engagement pictures and wedding day which makes it feel less like a photo shoot and more relaxed and natural.
Catherine even offered us a second engagement session when she hurt her wrist and had to send her second shooter to our initial engagement photos just so we had a chance to meet her! She truly loves what she does and made our engagement and wedding day flawless and memorable. Not only is SHE amazing, so are her photos! -

Best Photographer!!!!!
WE USED TALES AND TREES FOR EVERYTHING! Literally all of our shoots, Engagement shoots, a pre rehearsal photo session, rehearsal dinner, and wedding Day. Each time we met it was fun and the results were AMAZING! I love looking at all the pictures. It brings us right back to the day. She gave us a sneak peak and jaw on the floor. The photos were GORGEOUS. She did a great job with everything. Highly recommend booking with Catherine!
We have had the pleasure of working with Catherine for a few years. When we first got engaged we found her to do a photo shoot with us. Due to Army schedules we had a long engagement and got to do another shoot 2 years later. It has been so fun to see how her work has grown and we are so happy to work with her. -

Looking for a photographer for my wedding day was one of the most important things on my list. When I found Tales & trees photography while scrolling through some pictures on Ig I immediately knew Catherine would be the best fit for us . My husband and I live in New York and even though we didn’t get a chance to meet before our special day it was as if we knew each other already. Not only did she capture beautiful pictures but she was so easy and fun to work with! Taking my wedding photos was a breeze and we had fun while doing them. Such great memories to have
We got married in September of 2022 and utilized Catherine's photo and video services. My husband is not a big fan of being in front of the camera, however after our engagement session, he commented on how easy Catherine made it. She helps anyone to feel comfortable by incorporating movement into her poses and she makes it feel so natural and fun! Our photos turned out so beautiful and we love that we have a stunning wedding video to look back on. -

Amazing photographer!
Catherine is amazing! We love everything about her style and the way she works. We had our engagement shoot super quick and in a blizzard :( we ended up receiving so many photos we didn't think were possible to get. Moving on toward our wedding day, Catherine was in communication via phone and email to discuss schedule and day of events. Working with Catherine is an absolute dream. She makes you feel so comfortable in your skin and loves to laugh. She knows what she's doing and girl has got an eye. My husband and I both loved working with her for our engagement shoot and our wedding! Now, when it comes to the photo quality, I don't even know where to begin. She made all of my earthy, PNW, wedding in the woods dreams come to life and now I get to look back on these photos forever. Catherine is and always will be my DREAM photographer. I left a review before about our engagement photos last fall, and now this review is about our wedding photos!
Leading up to the wedding Catherine was extremely attentive and I felt she was almost as excited about the wedding as I was! On the day of the wedding Catherine was so relaxed but also made sure to be our hype woman! Catherine and her second shooter made me feel so comfortable and helped everything stay on track the day of the wedding. I loved that Catherine agreed to and encouraged us to adventure into the woodsy paths on the venue. When there started to be a few drops of rain her second shooter Lydia RAN back to the car so that we would have umbrellas just in case the rain got harder. Catherine has a way of being so calming and present-ensuring all the shots are taken, that the schedule keeps on time, and taking charge of rowdy bridal party members when needed, while also being “out of the way” and making us feel like she was just hanging out with us without any pressure of getting “perfect” shots (which of course all of the shots WERE PERFECT and natural). When I woke up the morning after the wedding we already had a sneak peek gallery of 30+ photos! It was so fun to so quickly be able to reminisce on the wedding day and show the photos to our friends and family during the farewell brunch.
I cannot say enough about how talented, kind, and servant minded Catherine is. She is truly the perfect wedding photographer for anyone who is looking for a new friend, hype woman, artist, and your go to photographer for all of life’s milestones. I’m so thankful for Catherine to be a part of my life and this very special day! Thank you Catherine-we cannot wait for the full gallery but for now looking at the sneak peek gallery several times a day will do, hehe! -

Dream come true
Catherine was an absolute JOY! She is flexible, understanding and truly makes you feel like you have known her for years. Catherine is able to capture EVERY SINGLE MOMENT!
