We recently had our wedding at Tailwater and couldn't be happier. Everything from start to finish was beyond what we could have hoped for. The wedding coordinator, staff, hotel staff, food, beverage, etc. were top notch. There was not one point during the process where we did not feel like the only wedding they had that year. We would highly recommend them to any couple looking for an incredible venue will all of the amenities and in a setting you just can't beat! Thank you again for making our day so great!

The Tailwater staff were phenomenal to work with! My now-husband and I were planning from out of state, and it was the most effortless process. The day of went smoothly, even with the rain that happened, and they ensured everything was perfect so we did not have to worry about a thing. You 100% get what you pay for and more when you book your wedding here! Also the food was the BEST wedding food we’ve had and heard from numerous guests that they thought it was amazing!

Beautiful wedding venue and hotel. They are so organized and professional, our guests had nothing but great things to say about the food and service.

My wife and I got married on August 26, 2022 and our experience at Tailwater Lodge was nothing short of perfect. The attention to detail from decoration, food, and customer service was 5-star across the board. My groomsman and I enjoyed massages and facials at the onsite Spa peppered with some jacuzzi time before the wedding while the girls got ready at the huge bridal suite. The staff were very accommodating with assisting with any needs such as bringing extra chairs and espresso martinis to my wife and her bridesmaids. The Barn at Tailwater lodge nails the natural rustic theme we were searching for in a venue and having the staff take care of all setup and takedown was a huge relief to our parties. The wedding coordinators did an excellent job helping the day flow smoothly in a timely manner. Being right on the Salmon river allowed for unique pictures that we will hang on our walls and provide memories for a lifetime of a perfect day that wouldn't of been possible had it not been for Tailwater Lodge.

We absolutely fell in love with the Tailwater the first time we saw it. Michele was amazing to work with. She is so calm and puts your mind at ease. She was just so chill throughout the entire process. Anything we needed, she got it for us. We worked with Anne on the day of and same for her. She made everything seem so easy. It is very evident that their waitstaff is taken care of and treated with respect by management because they were all happy! The food was to die for. All of our guests are talking about it. We had filet, haddock, and chicken Chardonnay. I wouldn’t change a thing if I could!

Tailwater is the best place to get married! Michele and the whole team took care of us from start to finish. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our love with our family and friends. It was convenient to have the hotel and venue all together. All of our guests raved about the food and the beauty of the place. We are so thankful we found Tailwater!

From the beginning planning stages in early 2019 to the wedding in spring 2021, everything went beautifully. My daughter had originally planned an autumn wedding but due to Covid we moved it to late spring the following year. Michelle was wonderful during all of the changes. She was available to answer questions and offer support. She was.always an email or phone call away. The wedding weekend itself was perfect. Michelle, Ann and Margot did such an amazing job with everything, that as the mother of the bride I could actually relax and enjoy the celebration. With very little direction from us, they created the most beautiful ceremony and reception spaces. They were ready for any last minute changes so that the day went smoothly and seamlessly. From the rehearsal dinner to the reception and then breakfast for our guests the next morning, the food was perfection!! Our guests are still talking about it. Everyone working the reception as well as any other staff we encountered were friendly, professional and helpful.. The grounds are beautiful, the wedding took place outside. The entire experience was perfect and unforgettable! The amenities offered and the rustic elegance of the Tailwater made it the perfect choice for this very special event. I wish we could give 10 stars !!

We had our wedding at Tailwater on 10/24/2020. The venue is gorgeous and we loved that the place had lodging in the same building so noone had to drive afterwards. Even though its technically a Hilton Hotel, it is not a cookie cutter reception hall. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time. We especially loved the fire pit that we could hangout at the night before and the night of for as long as we wanted. With Covid putting a slight damper on things, the venue did the best they could to keep everyone safe and roll with the ever growing list of changing rules. They were great when we had to change from a larger wedding to a very small wedding- and they provided servers to give out dessert and appetizers and hand sanitizer at the entrance. We didnt need to spend hundreds or thousands in flowers and decor because the place is beautiful by itself and the river outside provides great photo opportunities.

We landed at Tailwater by a stroke of luck, or even fate. Tailwater was my dream venue, even after thorough wedding venue research. When my fiancé (now husband) and I decided to move up our wedding date drastically, I never thought my dream of a Tailwater wedding would become a reality. However, due to COVID-19, Tailwater had our date, 10/3/2020 open.

From the initial inquiry to the heartfelt farewell after the wedding, Michele was wonderful to work with. Her attention to detail and experience are priceless. She took our ideas, with very little direction, and made them come to life. Anne was also incredible. She did not miss a beat. She has an incredible eye for detail, is incredibly personable, and we had complete confidence in her.

The venue is just perfect. The porch is an incredible spot for the ceremony and everything flowed perfectly into the reception space. The food was INCREDIBLE. Our guests raved and raved about it (I wanted to take home a 10 gallon bucket of the garlic aioli). Every banquet team member was kind and personable. Our guests enjoyed hanging out by the fire after the reception. Everything was perfect, from start to finish. We have gotten many compliments that it was the most beautiful wedding.

Additionally, Tailwater handled COVID-19 restrictions with class and grace - we felt safe and were happy with the enforcement of policies.

Only minor complaint was that front desk staff seemed overwhelmed and there were a few mix-ups with our accommodations. It was salmon weekend, one of their busiest weekends of the year. However, we would have anticipated a more organized and hospitable approach to the management of our room block.

Overall, my mom, husband, and I could not recommend Tailwater Lodge more.

We can not thank everyone at Tailwater enough for such a perfect day. We postponed our wedding in 2020 to 2021 and they were a breeze to work with and we are so thankful for their support and kindness. Our wedding reception was beautiful and we have received so many compliments on every aspect of it. They customized things we requested and it was exactly what we imagined our day would be like. The food was delicious, the venue is so spacious, the lighting was a perfect ambiance, the staff was reliable, timely, and responsive (even when I messaged them so many times with all the changing regulations over and over again), the bartenders were quick and lovely to work with, everything was wonderful! This beautiful venue is like no other in the area and will always hold a special place in our heart. Thank you Tailwater and staff for a perfect day!

I’m pretty sure I would never be able to express just how amazing the staff at Tailwater was when it came to every aspect of our wedding. Michele was amazing along the way, answering every one of my questions thoroughly. Every time I thought there was something to worry about she quickly reassured me that they would have things taken care of. Once it came time for the rehearsal and wedding and we met Anne, she also became an important part of making everything run perfectly for us. There were so many little aspects that they were on top of, so many things that we didn’t even think about, and they made everything happen seamlessly. There wasn’t a single person that we interacted with that didn’t go over the top to make sure we were taken care of. They took care of so much for us that the amount of effort that we had to put in was minimal, which was truly appreciated on our wedding day. I feel like we truly had the perfect wedding day thanks to Tailwater!

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Tailwater. On top of the amazing location, beautiful grounds, etc. the staff was top notch. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Tailwater. It was so convenient to have everything all in one place. We had been working with Michele for a solid 2 years before the wedding. She politely and helpfully answered what I'm sure accumulated to thousands of emails. She was with us every step of the way. On our arrival the day before the wedding we were assigned a second coordinator who helped execute the day of. Anne was awesome and insanely helpful. They covered every detail of our day. From bringing us appetizers and drinks during pictures to cleaning out room during the reception. The best part was, there were several other weddings that weekend (including a second the day of) and I wouldn't have noticed. Everything was seamless and we had enough resources to execute perfectly. Thank you for making our big day so amazing!

Beautiful location with excellent, friendly staff who go above and beyond to make your day absolutely perfect for you. Michele, the coordinator is an incredible asset to Tailwater and extremely helpful and easy to work with. I couldn’t be happier with our experience!

Daughter’s wedding on August 24,2019. Outstanding attention to detail by all staff. Wedding planner Michelle answered questions before we could ask them at every meeting. There were so many little extras that weren’t expected. From director chairs in the bridal suite for makeup and hair to refreshments delivered to the wedding party when they were outside taking pictures. Michelle handled our little problems with ease (forgetting the veil in the room). Anne took care of us throughout the event, always one step ahead of us. She can complete a French bustle on a wedding dress like no one else. Food was delicious, service was outstanding, hotel accommodations were beautiful as was the grounds. We had friends and family spend one or two nights and everyone loved the place. One family brought their dog because they were spending a week in the area and several used the new spa for treatments. There were three weddings there that day/evening and our guests didn’t even know. Our staff was assigned to us, and always available. I can’t think of one thing that would have made our experience at Tailwater Lodge any better!

It honestly is incredibly difficult to write a review of the Tailwater Lodge that could even come close to describing how amazing it is. Not only is the venue itself beautiful and has every amenity you could want, the staff absolutely blew me away with their service. The planning process was made easy because of their professionalism, quick responses, impeccable organization, and the fact that they really do think of everything. They knew exactly what questions to ask in order to make sure the day went as smoothly as possible and captures your vision perfectly. To put this in perspective, I am a type-A, organizational freak and control freak... and it was easy for me to put my trust in their hands. Come wedding time, our hard work was done. We showed up and simply enjoyed ourselves and the staff at TWL took care of the rest. They were always checking in on us to see if we needed anything, they were quick to bring up a bucket of water bottles if that's what we asked for, and they made sure the schedule/timing was on track. For example, when it came time for me (the bride) to head down to the ceremony space, they got me there without anyone seeing, snuck me in the back, and had me ready to walk down the aisle perfectly on cue with the music. With me being a planning freak, it was little details like that which really impressed me. When I say they really do think of everything, I mean it. During the reception, they cleaned up the food trays in the bridal suite, and then left us the cutest little setup to come back to at the end of the night. We partied until dawn, but when we did finally head back to our bridal suite, there was a bottle of champagne, custom Mr. & Mrs. [our name] glasses with a "We got hooked at the Tailwater Lodge" on the back, some water bottles, and some snacks. Additionally, they also had a basket of little goodies in the bridal suite waiting for us when we checked in (advil, extra bobby pins, toothbrushes, razors, hairspray, etc.) which actually came in handy because my husband ended up forgetting his toothbrush. All those little touches just really showed us how much they cared about making our experience the best it could be. One last thing, the food! All I can say is... wow. We had the best day of our lives and every one of our guests were raving about what a great time they had! Our day really couldn't have been more perfect and so much of it was due to our venue. If you have your wedding here, you will not be disappointed.

We got married here in September on the overlook and it was beautiful. The only hiccup in the process was there were very limited hotel rooms at the lodge and not much other housing within 30 minutes but they are currently doing an expansion to fix that and swapped reservations around for us a lot to try to fit everyone. The venue is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and super accommodating and the guests all raved about the food being amazing (opted for the plated/sit-down dinner). The on-site coordinator and day-of coordinator took care of everything, set up decorations etc. so I didn't have to stress or think about it on the big day and were awesome to work with. Overall amazing experience including very thoughtful touches/surprises like leaving little late night snacks in the bridal suite for my husband and I and a set of glasses with our wedding date on them. Highly recommend!

This venue far exceeded all of our expectations. They made us feel so comfortable. Our wedding planner Michelle was phenomenal through our entire process. Ann did a great job the day of keeping the bride happy and the banquet staff was so attentive to all the guests the day of. We recommend this location to anybody who wants a wedding to remember.

We could not be happier with our experience with The Tailwater Lodge! From the staff, food, location, rooms, reception space - everything was perfect! Our guests are still raving about their experience and some even want to go back just for dinner and relaxing. Michele was our wedding coordinator and she always kept us in the loop and was very responsive with all of our questions. I highly recommend the Tailwater Lodge!

Overall I had the most beautiful wedding!! Michelle and Amy and the staff here were so accommodating and helped through the whole process. Michelle was there for countless emails, phone conversations and meetings. Every guest I have spoken to about our wedding has raved about their experience at the Tailwater. We ended up spending the entire weekend as it is almost an hour drive from our home. We had our rehearsal dinner in the Tasting Room which was amazing!!! Our bridal party and family were so impressed with the service and the place itself. Michelle also was there for that and organized it perfectly. The morning of the wedding her and her staff made sure we had everything we needed. Right down to nail polish remover! The wedding went off without a hitch and they were there every step of the way. The only complaint I have and I am sure its due to the size of our wedding on where our dessert table ended up. It was on the porch (as we had 230 guests) and sadly many of the items were eaten during cocktail hour so there wasn't many things left for after dinner. I know our tables took up a good majority of the room and that they had never done a layout as I had requested, but they listened and did exactly what I wanted and it turned out perfectly! I had a vision in my head and they totally made it a reality!!!!

We had our daughters wedding there 091517. Sheer perfection! People are still talking about how amazing the venue was. We could not have asked for anything more

Wow! If you are looking for a beautiful and extraordinary venue, then the Tailwater Lodge is the place to go. First of all, the location and ambiance is impeccable - the entire time you're there you feel as though you're in your own Adirondack lodge. The food is delicious and very great selections of high quality dishes. The staff is incredibly helpful and no detail is left overlooked. Everyone is so accommodating and there to make your wedding day perfect. At the end of the night we were met with a very nice surprise in our room to remember our time at the Tailwater. The hotel rooms are top quality, spacious and relaxing and perfect for any wedding guests. The Barn and the Overlook are absolutely beautiful, attention to detail everywhere you look. Very highly recommend the Tailwater to anyone looking for a beautiful and amazing wedding venue! Absolutely perfect!

My husband and I just recently had our wedding there this past sunday 9/12/2021. Overall it was a beautiful wedding, all the decor and centerpieces were exactly how I imagined it. The food was amazing and so were the servers. I had several guests who were vegan and gluten free and the chefs did an amazing job catering to them. My only complaint was that I felt that on the day of the wedding, my wedding planner (Ann) went MIA once the reception started. I had to direct when dinner started, when to cut the cake, and when to start the speeches. I was disappointed in the lack of instruction Ann gave to me and my husband as we started our reception. The day before, we met for the last time to go over timeline details so I did designate a time for every event. I do highly recommend this venue however I would recommend hiring or designating a bridesmaid to assist with "day of wedding" planning since I felt it was not thorough enough.

As the bride, I felt that I was directing my own wedding the day of rather than enjoying the day.

Lovely venue, delicious food, staff that are professional supportive and quality! The staff were on top of their game. A bit pricey but if this is in your budget you can't go wrong!

Everything started out great. We booked off season for a winter wedding. We had weekly calls with the event coordinator who was responsive and helped plan out each detail of our Big Day, to ensure our guests had a wonderful time. The night before we met with the event coordinator and banquet manager to review all the details: timing for bar and dinner service, how to serve desserts, what time the bonfire would start, bringing down houselights to start the dancing, etc. etc. The space was beautiful and the ceremony went well. The event coordinator took care of my parents and grandparents during cocktails/ reception and even brought some of the apps to our bridal table. I finally got a drink as cocktail hour ended. Then things started to crumble. Dinner was delicious, but dinner service was disjointed; too long between courses. Dessert service was not as we agreed. Bar opened 30 min early, which meant they closed the bar - unexpectedly - well before we told the guests the night would be over. The bartender was extremely rude - guests were even commenting to the bride - and was observed covering the liquor spouts on several occasions when making cocktails for our sober guests. Houselights never came down, which meant the dancing was not the center point when it needed to be, leaving guests aimlessly roaming. It took the bride, groom, and 4 guests over 2 hours to finally get the bonfire going, and the chairs and tables promised never materialized. We looked for our event coordinator to rectify these things... but she had left. It was never explained she'd be helping us plan, but not coordinate the actual event. Between the cost of the venue, DJ, photographer, and getting ourselves there (we're out of towners who booked here due to density of family in the area) this was a terribly disappointing way to spend the Big Day; it can never be redone. The venue did comps us about $350 for our "trouble" and for kids' ice-cream that never came. I hope they mature service.
