Talk about talented, professional, and truly gifted! Sonia provided an amazing experience for my wedding day from start to finish. Sonia has an incredible eye for detail, a great sense of style, and a real talent for both hair and makeup, creating a look that was even better than I imagined. She’s an artist! Her team was just as wonderful, friendly, attentive, and made the whole process smooth and comfortable.
They all worked together seamlessly and made me feel completely taken care of. My hair and makeup turned out flawless, long-lasting, and I received so many compliments throughout my wedding day.

Sonia and her team did a fantastic job for me (bride) and my three daughters (bridesmaids). She made sure she had our cabin number, arranged being let in at the gate ahead of time, and arrived ahead of time. She had a professional makeup chair (you feel like you are in the movies) and all the makeup and eyelashes with her, although I provided my own. Very professional application of eyelashes, I can't say enough about that :). I had hair extensions and my stepdaughter, Kiana, has enough hair for three people, so there were challenges there, but Sonia made sure it all got done. We ended up a little pressed for time due to a storm and my future husband-to-be and I were racing to get to the lake to get some photos before the rain came. Sonia and her hair team were very accommodating and were aware of our time schedules the whole time, which took some stress off me. It was actually a very relaxed and fun environment to get ready in, I served some snacks and we played music. Would highly recommend Tahoe Hair and Makeup! I am a little disappointed I didn’t have the photographer take some photos of us getting ready so I could share them.Tahoe Hair and Makeup's reply:

Sonia and her team at Tahoe Hair n Makeup were absolutely incredible. From start to finish, they made the entire process so easy and stress-free. On the day of, everyone felt beautiful and confident, and it really showed in all of our photos.
My hair in particular turned out stunning. I received so many compliments throughout the night. I had sew in extensions in that Sonia was able to work with without any issues. Everyone’s hair and makeup stayed all day and night. My mom, who had never had her hair or makeup done professionally before, kept saying she felt like a princess, which made the day even more special for both of us.
Sonia and her team were professional, warm, and so talented. They took away all the worry of getting ready and helped set such a joyful tone for the morning. I’m so grateful we had them as part of our wedding day and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Sonia was wonderful! As someone who doesn't wear makup, I had a lot of edits after my trial (during which I really didn't know what I wanted). Sonia was was able to take all the edits and I loved my hair and makeup on the day of the wedding. I really appreciated that she didn't charge a travel fee and that she was able to find 3 other stylists for my large bridal party! -

Couldn’t have asked for a better hair and make up artist for my day
10/10 would recommend Tahoe Hair and Makeup. Everything was perfect, her prices are very fair. I contacted about 10 other H&M artists and Sonia was definitely the best option for my day. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day with out her. Hair and make up both looked stunning and lasted all day. If you are thinking about contacting her, do it!! You will not regret it. -

Sonia was great with communication in the months leading up to my event. Google found her, I checked out her portfolio and started the email and contracting process. Unlike every other vendor she did not require a deposit immediately, just a commitment and a credit card to charge, which was super helpful when everyone else's payment timeline was rough to work around.
When Sonia came to my place for my trial she listened to what I wanted and was supportive of what I didn't, I gave her a lot of creative control and she did great-I looked like a fairy tale version of myself! The next day for my event she successfully made my straight thin hair look thick, wavy and gorgeous! My makeup looked great and the eyelash extentions looked good but just weren't my style so she made other adjustments to make my eyes look good. In addition to the price (which was HALF of what everyone else was charging for similar work) , she was fun to talk to, inquisitive, open minded and great company. I highly recommend her! 10/10 would have Sonia take care of my hair and makeup again! -

If you are looking for someone to do your wedding hair and makeup, look no further than Sonia and her team! Sonia made me feel beautiful for my special day. I met Sonia in advance to do a trial, and appreciated her ability to listing to what I had envisioned and make it come to life. My intricate hairdo looked amazing, and I appreciated her makeup routine. Making me look not too overdone, but accentuating all of my features all the same. Thanks so much, Sonia! -

Beautiful work and wonderful person
Sonia was great to work with! She did a trial run for us and came to our house. She is very fun to be around and comes with everything she needs to do a fantastic job. She worked with us when there were last minute changes to our wedding location and even came early in the morning to make sure everyone was done in time! She was the best! If anyone needs their makeup done or hair done for their wedding she is your girl! -

Sonia was incredible and I’m so glad I found her for my wedding day! She did my hair and my two bridesmaids’. She was fantastic to work with, discussed the pictures I shared and different variations based on what she understood I was looking for, very communicative and quick to respond to emails and texts, and overall just a fun person to be around when we were getting ready. I couldn’t have been happier with my hair, and we all received glowing compliments about our hair from guests all night. -

Sonia was very flexible and worked with my timeline and space that we had as well as my crazy toddlers. Everyone said I looked gorgeous for my wedding (bridal hair and makeup) and my mom and daughter’s hair looked very good. I definitely recommend Sonia as she was great to work with. Sonia exceeded any and all expectations! Having had to change our wedding plans so suddenly during the national pandemic, I did not have the chance to do a make up trial... and truly I did not need one. Sonia heard all of my concerns, took a look at the inspiration pictures I had and got to work.. and I could not have been happier! Beyond all of the compliments I got the day of the wedding, her professionalism and skills are truly incredible. And I can honestly say that even with all the tears that were shed that day, my make up did not smudge or look washed out. It stayed just as perfect as when she applied it down to the last hour of the day. There is a level of trust that every bride puts in their make up artist for their wedding day and I cannot urge you enough to place that with Sonia. I traveled to the South Lake Tahoe area to elope. Not knowing anyone to provide suggestions, I googled hair and make up in the area. I ran across Tahoe Hair and Make Up. What a blessing the universe put in my path. Sonia made me feel as if I had family and friends surrounding me on my special day. My make up and hair were absolutely perfect (and I’m very high maintenance 😬). She took her time and exceeded my expectations by far. She even pulled out the iron and helped me iron my dress. I could not have asked for a better experience and outcome. I’d highly suggest her for any occasion. -

Absolutely amazing! Couldn’t have gone better!
The initial booking and communication was fast, professional and easy!! Sonia was my hair stylist and make up artist! She was amazing! We had a Sunrise wedding! She arrived early at 3:10am!!! Get you a Sonia!
Sonia was absolutly amazing. She was perfect on timing and her skills are off the charts! Sonia was great at helping me laugh of stress of my moms (because you know this day is always more stressful for them!). She was understanding with my health issues and let me take breaks when I needed to. I would 100% recommend her for your event! -

Worth the gamble
I had a destination wedding at Lake Tahoe and decided to hire someone to help with hair and makeup. This is scary when you are trying to pic someone from another state and don’t get a test run. I took a chance on Sonia and I’m so glad I did. She was able to come to my condo and brought everything with her. Everything turned out perfect. I have never felt more beautiful. It doesn’t hurt that she has a great personality too. I would definitely recommend. -

Sonia did my hair and makeup for my wedding and she was amazing! Sonia went over what I wanted and created exactly what I envisioned for my wedding! The products used for hair and makeup were high quality and there was no need for touch ups during the entire wedding (even with all the tears)! I would highly recommended Tahoe Hair n Makeup for any occasion to create the perfect look while providing a professional and a stress free experience! -

Awesome!!!
I found Sonia online last minute. She was very accommodating. Showed up at my hotel early to make sure I was ready on time. She listened to what I wanted and needed and made me feel beautiful! I got married in the middle of a snowstorm and my make up did not budge at all! Even through the snowball fight! My hair ended up getting pretty wet so it frizzed a bit which is to be expected but I was honestly surprised how good it still looked at the end of the night.Tahoe Hair and Makeup's reply:
