We absolutely loved working with LaDawn for our wedding cake! From the very beginning, she was kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with. She really listened to what we wanted and helped us create the perfect cake for our day—a delicious spice cake with buttercream frosting that was beautifully made and delivered right on time.
Everything went so smoothly, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how good the cake was! We’re so grateful for LaDawn’s talent and professionalism and would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a stress-free, wonderful cake experience. -

We got our cake and cupcakes from sweets by ladawn. They accommodated our unique cake and cupcake flavor combinations. Our favorite was the key lime pie with key lime filling. They also accommodated our colors and cake topping even though it was more like a birthday cake it was beautiful and perfect and how we envisioned it! -

Best wedding cake!
I could not recommend anyone else for wedding cakes! The cake was the perfect touch to a perfect day…from the design matching exactly with what the bride and groom wanted and to how delicious it was! My wife and I have worked with LaDawn now on two occasions and we couldn’t recommend her enough. We love that she is local to us and so easy to work with. We’ve also stopped into the storefront several times for the individual treats she has— everything she makes is so yummy.
LaDawn made our wedding cake which was a simple two tiered strawberry cake with buttercream frosting. We didn’t want anything extravagant but LaDawn still did a flawless job. The cake looked fabulous and tasted even better. A year later and we’re still drooling over the taste of our strawberry wedding cake.
The process for getting a wedding cake made by LaDawn was also great! We particularly loved the cake tasting which left us with so much leftover cake that we felt positively spoiled. The design process was clear and easy as well, even though we got a simple design we felt like she could make us anything we requested. Between the cake tasting and the final product we also feel like we got a really great value.
We have also ordered sheet cakes from LaDawn. Several for the wedding guests and one for our baby shower. They were great as we have come to expect from Cakes by LaDawn. You can really tell that she goes out of her way to make sure your special dessert is made to your complete satisfaction and I’m positive that whatever you order from her will please you and your guests. -

LaDawn did our wedding cake last year and we absolutely loved working with her. She helped us pick what was best to accommodate all of our guests. Besides a few pieces we set aside for us, our cake was completely gone and eaten by the end of the night! She has so many great flavors to choose from you can’t go wrong! For the amount of people we were serving as well, we paid a great price for our cake and also a cut cake to feed about 180-190 people and it worked out great. Would 10/10 recommend her for all your cake needs! -

Sweets by LaDawn provided our wedding cake and cupcakes for guests. She was amazing to work with in putting our vision together. She also delivered and set up our dessert table, which we greatly appreciated! We got rave reviews from all of our guests about how delicious our cupcakes were. Her prices were incredibly affordable. We had the BEST experience with LaDawn! She is the only baker in the Cincinnati area who prepares small cakes for your tasting and you get to take home the leftovers! Everything we tried was absolutely incredible. The only thing is I wished we would done differently is ordered more cupcakes. They flew off the stand as soon as we cut the cake :) LaDawn is now our go to for birthday cakes and any other delicious treats. Thank you for a great experience! -

We had LaDawn make our wedding cake for our May wedding and loved her and the cake! My dad has a severe peanut/tree nut allergy and she was one of very few bakers willing to work with us to make a cake he’d be comfortable eating. She takes a lot of care in making gluten-free sweets and she gave us the same care in ensuring the entire kitchen was nut-free when preparing/baking. The chocolate and lemon cakes we ordered for our wedding day were delicious, and she was so friendly and easy to work with the whole process. Just make sure you call her to confirm things - LaDawn doesn’t do business over email! -

We couldn't be happier with the wedding cake from LaDawn. Not only did she create a beautiful cake that perfectly matched our vision, but the flavors were out of this world. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was!
As someone with a gluten allergy, I was especially impressed with how accommodating they were. They made sure to create a gluten-free version that was just as moist and flavorful as the rest, and I didn't have to worry about any cross-contamination.

Best in the city!
Sweets by LaDawn is truly a gem of this city! We heard about Ladawn’s shop from a few friends and then happened upon her booth at a bridal convention. After trying her cake, we were sold to choose her for our wedding! She was so accommodating to our needs and there is definitely something for everyone no matter the occasion. We did a small cake for just the wedding party and parents, and then cupcakes, brownies, and cookies for our guests! Everything was very affordable as well. Her cake and desserts were such a hit at our wedding, that we decided to go With LaDawn again for our gender reveal cake and baby shower desserts. She does such a wide range of designs from simple to very detailed and decorated cakes and cupcakes. We will definitely continue to go to Sweets by LaDawn even if it’s just to pick up a sweet treat during the week. Everything she makes is delicious and her service is impeccable. We appreciate everything she’s done for us so much and highly recommend her to anyone and everyone looking for some delicious sweets. -

LaDawn is nothing short of amazing! We met her at a wedding expo and absolutely loved how helpful she was and how delicious her cake was. Of course we had to go back for seconds before we left. She was great when providing guidance during our tasting when deciding flavors and cake style. Also, the tasting samples were VERY generous! We chose to pick up our wedding cake the day before and decorate ourselves, but it turned out absolutely fabulous! Beautifully crafted and so delicious with her real buttercream and the cake consistency being on point! We could not ask for a better experience. We can't wait to get our anniversary cake! -

We asked for a small, but tiered cake for our very small wedding (under 20 people). LaDawn delivered one designed simply (as we requested) with room for us to add the flowers we wanted. The end result was a stunning cake that oh by the way tasted delicious (chocolate and yellow). The chocolate tasted like a Hostess Suzy Q which is a good thing in my book. -

LaDawn was super great and friendly to work with. She offers a wide variety of cakes that all taste amazing. We got our tasting cakes and they were so good it was hard to choose one for our wedding. When we did choose the flavor, we had to sit down meeting at her bakery in Cincinnati Ohio and she went over all details about everything we would possibly want for a cake. We brought pictures for references and she made our vision come to life in cake form. Prices are very reasonable and we absolutely loved working with her. Thank you for making our day very special.

Best cake and price!
I booked Sweets by Ladawn for my wedding on 8/26/22. We opted for cupcakes and a small round cake to cut. My guests raved about the flavors options we had. Lemon cake with blueberry filling, white cake with strawberry filling, and chocolate cake with raspberry filling. All had a delicious white buttercream frosting. My cake to cut was the best- it’s the one they provide samples of at the Cincinnati wedding show. Almond cake with raspberry filling and their white buttercream frosting. The cake was decorated exactly like my vision. From the gold flecks to the flowers and cake topper, it was perfect. Additionally we were able to rent the cupcake stand, she delivered and set up for us. -

We found Dawn at the bridal expo last year, and what a find! Aside from being a fantastic ambassador for her business, she was handing out samples of the most delicious cake we have ever tasted. We signed a contract right then! The cake was absolutely gorgeous, made exactly as we had designed it, delivered timely, set up beautifully, and tasted divine! People raved about it! I cannot recommend her artistic and delicious talent enough! Don't sleep on the white almond cake with raspberry filling. It is one of the best sweets you will EVER eat! -

Wonderful Wedding Cake
We got our wedding cake from LaDawn for our August wedding last year. We met her at a bridal expo and it was the first cake my husband and I actually agreed on, it was so good we knew right away we found the cake we wanted and the right place to get it from! We met with her to plan it out (and ordered a few extra treats while there because all of her stuff is amazing) and the whole process was very easy, she had everything we needed and worked with us to stay within our budget. Overall it was a great experience and everyone loved the cake when it came to the wedding. Definitely recommend! -

Ms. LaDawn created a delicious and beautiful cake for us for our wedding. We tasted her cake at a bridal show two years before our wedding and I couldn’t find a tastier cake out there so she had sold me from the beginning! Also the design of the cake was exactly how I envisioned and she delivered it herself and added the real flowers onto it perfectly. I loved that we could have different cake flavors for each layer. I first discovered LaDawn at a Bridalrama showcase in February 2020 and couldn't stop thinking about her cake samples (they were so good that my best friend and I came back 3 times after sampling other cakes). I knew she was it in my mind. When it came to doing the cake tasting, she gave us several full-on mini cakes to try which was wonderful. Her cakes are so flavorful and fluffy, just downright delicious. She was on time, professional, and gave us everything we wanted. We had a combination of Cake and cupcakes. Please consider using her, you will not be sorry. Very convenient location. LaDawn was so good to us and we will use her again! She made us the perfect wedding cake, that people are still talking about 2 months after the wedding. -

LaDawn made our beautiful wedding cake. We had both the strawberry cake with strawberry filling and almond vanilla cake with raspberry filling. Both cakes had butter cream icing and both of the cakes turned out amazing. Guests loved them and many of them went back for seconds. LaDawn was very easy to work with and made our wedding cake even better than we could have imagined. We will definitely go back to her for any future special occasion cakes. -

Wedding Cake
My husband and I first tasted a Sweets by LaDawn cake at a bridal show and fell in love with the taste! We walked around the show a little longer and couldn’t stop thinking about it. The entire process of selecting the flavors, the cake tasting, and the actual wedding day procedures were flawless and everything was explained perfectly. She even worked well with us having to change the date of our wedding due to COVID! The cake turned out phenomenal and I wish I could eat some every day! -

Sweets by LaDawn makes the BEST wedding cakes around- hands down and LaDawn is so amazing to work with. First off, the cake tastings themselves are huge and shareable and so delicious! Then, LaDawn takes the time to meet with you personally to go over details of your cake. For me personally, LaDawn was so flexible when we had to reschedule our wedding due to Covid. And when we were trying to re-plan/remember our details, she was always willing to answer our questions. When the wedding day came- the cake was STUNNING! Exactly what we wanted. Everyone raved about the cake and how good it was. I will recommend Sweets by LaDawn to everyone for all events!! -

My husband and I absolutely loved our cake! My family and I met LaDawn at a bridal show and loved her cake and personality. I knew I had to have her make our cake. After sampling 4 flavors, we chose lemon, chocolate and traditional white cake. All of which were delicious! Highly recommend her for weddings, the cake was exactly what we wanted and LaDawn was incredibly accommodating. -

Delicious Cake
Our cake was BEAUTIFUL and tasted just as great as it looked. I was in awe of how beautiful the end creation was. We showed LaDawn a picture of the design we wanted and she brought our vision to life. We had 4 tiers and the cake was so MOIST!!! The cake melted in your mouth. Our cake was so beautiful I did not want to cut it. Our guest also raved about how delicious it was. Please go with her for your cake, you will not be disappointed. Oh and I would suggest seeing when she will be at a bridal show. We were able to get free delivery, a free tasting and a percentage off our final price when we signed up and submitted a deposit to her at the bridal show. -
