It was the best wedding cake I have ever had. My husband doesn't even like cake and he loved our wedding cake. Very professional!

We had our wedding cake made at Sweet Water Bakehouse in Reading. Becca did an absolutely wonderful job of taking our vision and making it come to life. We sent her a picture and we then made some modifications to meet our needs. Our cake tasted absolutely amazing and looked beautiful. Becca did a great job incorporating the ribbon and cameo that I provided her to go along with our vintage theme. She also made intricate sugar roses and orchids for our cake topper. Our guests loved our cake and kept asking where we had purchased it. It was very moist and the icing was to die for! We had planned to keep our top tier and freeze it, but that did not happen! We could not resist eating it right away. We kept it in the fridge and wrapped it up. It stayed fresh and moist for almost 2 weeks. I would highly recommend Becca for your wedding cake needs.

Becca was amazing to work with. She really helped me pick out the perfect cake and design for my wedding. The cost was reasonable and fit into my budget perfectly. If I ever need a cake for another big event I will definitely contact Becca in the future.

My experience with Sweet Water Bakehouse was exceptional. Becca was very accommodating to our needs and extremely responsive and professional. Our cake was even better at the reception than at our tastings. Sweet Water Bakehouse is incredibly reasonable in their pricing and also tastes delicious! I received many, many compliments about how delicious our cake was. Sweet Water Bakehouse allows different flavors at no extra cost, unlike many other vendors. We had 3 different flavors with 3 different fillings for our wedding cake! I highly recommend Sweet Water Bakehouse for your wedding cake.

Our guests' complimented our cake and took down their information. The cake sampling was fun. Cake tasting was great as becca was so helpful and friendly. We loved the cake filling and obviously the price.

Becca at Sweet Water Bakehouse was an absolute delight to work with. We were able to tell her what we wanted and got exactly what we asked for. Anytime we had a question or concern, she'd deliver a prompt response. On top of the cake looking amazing, it tasted even better! We went with the Lemon/Raspberry and Chocolate for flavors and the guests LOVED it.I'm not much of a fruit filling person but it was one of the best cake flavors I've ever had. After she setup the cake, Becca even checked in with me to make sure everything was OK, which was really appreciated. Additionally, she helped meet our budget by helping us create the best serving options for our wedding. Her pricing options are extremely reasonable and the cake she delivers is well worth it.

We were married at the Newport Aquarium and had Becca and her husband design an ocean themed cake for our wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous! The piping was beautiful as well as the seashells that decorated the cake. Not only was it goregous, but the cake tasted excellent. We were very happy with the cake and would definitely recommend Sweetwater.

I absolutely loved our wedding cake. Not only was it delicious but it was also extremely beautiful. Becca was great and very down to earth when we went in to order everything.

I highly recommend the hazelnut cake and the red velvet! Both so good!

Our wedding cake turned our BEAUTIFUL! Becca was great to work with thru out the entire experience and I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing. We received many compliments from guest about how beautful it was and how great it taste.

Sweet Water Bakehouse definitely made the best cake I've tasted in Cincinnati (and I tasted a ton of cake!). We chose the cookies & cream, hazelnut and red velvet. It was all so delicious and I can't wait to eat the top tier on our anniversary! Our cake was absolutely stunning. I gave Becca a couple of pictures of different elements I liked and she totally nailed my dream cake. I would highly recommend!

Becca at Sweetwater Bakehouse did exactly what I was looking for in my wedding cake. Which was not an easy task since I had been to SEVERAL other bakers. Not only did she have the best tasting cake for the best price, she let me create a design that was unique to me. She was easy to work with and flexible with meeting times. Many of the guests commented on how great the cake tasted; saying it was the best tasting wedding cake they had ever eaten. Becca listened to what I wanted and then recreated my vision perfectly. The cake added to the decor of the room and having three flavors gave everyone something they liked. Her price was the best for the flavor and style. The wedding cake is an important piece to the event and Becca made a cake that was perfect.

Becca provided us with the best groom's cake I have ever seen. My husband loves his dog, almost more than me, and we wanted to surprise him with a cake that was an exact replica. She did amazing with the cake and it was identical to our dog Sugar. If I could post pictures here I would! The cake was also delicous and Becca was very easy to work with.

We highly recommend Becca at Sweetwater Bakehouse. She was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. We supplied her with a few pictures of cakes and she more than hit the mark...great job Becca! The cake was so delicious and moist...the only downside is the cake was so good there was not a single piece left over....but we are so looking forward to our anniversary topper. There are a few bakers in Reading, Ohio but don't waste time....go directly to Sweetwater Bakehouse and see Becca...I promise you will not be disappointed. Thanks again Becca.

Becca with sweet water bakehouse makes truly artistic cakes but I will tell you what sold us on her cake was more than design. Lots of bakers can make a cake look pretty but Becca's cakes taste fantastic!!

I bake a lot so I was interested in finding a baker who used high-quality ingredients. There are other bakeries in the Cinci area that seem to make cakes out of a box or bulk mix although they do look pretty. When we tasted Becca's cake - we knew she was the one! We picked the red velvet with chocolate bavarian cream filling. We had several wedding guests come up to us at the reception and tell us how fantastic the cake tasted or that "that is the best wedding cake I've ever had!"

Becca's designs are fresh, modern, and fun! We can't wait to have our fresh-baked anniversary layer.

Becca did a wonderful job on the cake for our wedding! We really loved how she was able to provide us with vegan cupcakes for our vegan/vegetarian guests in addition to using local products for our wedding cake! Both cupcakes and wedding cake were very tasty and beautiful!!!

Becca was nothing less than FANTASTIC when it came to our wedding cakes! I gave her pictures with ideas of what we wanted, and she recreated them perfectly! Not only did they look beautiful, but they tasted great! The cookies and cream were our favorite! Our guests have commented about the cakes, saying they were possibly the best wedding cakes they had ever had! Becca was always quick to respond to any questions that I had throughout the process. The two most important features to us for our cake were a simple design and an option of flavors. Becca delivered both to us. The cookies and cream cake and filling is a must. Numerous guests told us that it was the best wedding cake they have ever had, and we agree.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing our cake was. I am not someone who loves sugary icing for the butter cream icing is delicious! Her variety of flavors are endless when you think of the combinations of cake flavors and fillings and it became very hard to pick. I am actually very disappointed I didn't get a chance to taste two of the flavors at our wedding because I remember how good they were at the tasting. Her cake is always so moist and freshly baked and you can tell. I highly recommend trying the cookies and cream and the red velvet! YUM!

This place was fantastic for our wedding cake. We stopped by the store to take a look, and it's so super cute. Purple walls, cute decor, it was like a little shop you'd see featured on food network. :) Becca was totally welcoming and open to our suggestions and recommended flavors for us. The cake was incredible!! Becca had several photos of her cakes and there was a black and white one with swirls that was exactly what I wanted. Everyone commented on how amazing the cake and buttercream icing was. And I love that she bakes a top layer for your one-year anniversary for free so that it's fresh and you don't have to buy extra cake to make up for it. :)

We found Becca through the Knot.com and went for a tasting about 16 months before our wedding. Since we were from out of town and had to do everything in about a four days, we were on a time schedule. As soon as we met her, we knew. She is very pleasant and polite and her shop is really cute. Her and her husband do all the baking and deliveries which adds that special touch. We never contacted her until about two weeks before the wedding to finalize everything. We gave her some ideas and she ran with it.

People at the reception: best cake ever, tastiest frosting, not too sweet, moist. Everyone had nothing but praise for the cake. The offset design was awesome and we deleted a tier towards the end, which she had no problems accomodating for.

We can't tell you how much we appreciated the cake and Becca. It was absolutely amazing! Her bakery and personality fit to what we wanted. Her heart and sould is in the cake for sure. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone for any type of cake. Thank you so much.......

We found Sweet Water Bakehouse online and met with her to go over the details. When we did the cake tasting we were a little worried that the cake was a little dry. However, when we cut the cake at our wedding and tasted the cake, it was very moist and delicious! I only wish I had ordered more chocolate! We received lots of compliments on the cake. Also, we loved the design of the cake, we changed colors of one of her designs and it looked great. We were very happy with her!

Our cake was perfect!! It looked exactly how I had envisioned it, and the taste was just amazing. A lot of our guests commented on how good it tasted. We chose to have the entire cake done in cookies n' cream and people liked that it wasn't as traditional.

Becca was very professional and pleasant to work with - flexible too. When my fiance and I forgot to email her our choices for the tasting, she didn't get upset with us - she just made the choice for us. The cake was at the reception on time and in great condition. The price was very reasonable, especially for what we got. Our design was pretty simple, but I love looking at the other cakes in her gallery.

She also offers an anniversary tier. Instead of having to save the top of your cake in the freezer for a year, she just makes a new cake topper on your anniversary, no charge. We're looking forward to that!

All I can say is that I LOVE Sweet Water Bakehouse. Becca was able to take our ideas and make our cake better than expected. Besides the wonderful taste, it simply looked stunning to the eye! And she even makes you a new anniversary tier to enjoy on your one-year anniversary. I can't say enough great things about Sweet Water Bakehouse!

Becca makes the most delicious cakes in the entire world!!! The cake was so moist and we had so many different options to chose from. She made sure to come in and do a cake tasting with me and also sat down again to discuss the design of my cake. It turned out perfectly and tasted absolutely delicious!!! Believe it or not we had no cake left!!! We had 275 people at our wedding and we got a 250 person cake. EVERYONE loved it!! :) She is extremely talented and worth EVERY penny!! She is extremely reasonable as well!! :)

Becca is a very nice person and does get back to people whether it is through e-mail or telephone as soon as she possibly can. Becca responded to all of my emails in a timely manner and the cake was beautiful AND delicious! I've had a lot of dry wedding cakes but this cake was very moist. She also does vegan so we had one layer of vegan.

We were very happy with Becca and with our cake. I sketched a design and she made it look exactly how I wanted! Her hand-made sugar daisies were done so well everyone thought they were real. I don't remember the taste but I got great reviews from all my guests. I would definitely recommend her to other brides!

Sweetwater is the perfect place for a first time Bride! Becca, the owner, was very helpful and professional. She took her time to explain every detail and answer any questions that I had. Her flavor selections are amazing and very unique. I will use Becca for any other cake that I may need in the future!

We absolutely LOVED our wedding cake. It was a little pricey but it was so gorgeous. And it tasted great. I would def. reccomend!

The raspberry filling is awesome. Unlike most other places it was a cream rather than a jam. Becca was totally on board when we asked her to follow the design of a cake I found in a bridal magazine and even made the icing color match our wedding colors. Great service and delicious cake!

The cake was delicious and lovely. We went for a rather simple design - so I can't speak to how they'd do with a more intricate cake - but we were very, very happy. As were our guests.

And I love that they offer a cake tier for your 1-year anniversary!

We wanted a fun cake - topsy turvy with lots of color - and Becky at Sweet Water Bakehouse gave us just that. Not only was she totally flexible in giving us what we wanted style wise, she also had the best tasting cakes around. We were able to have three different cake flavors with different fillings without having an up charge like many other places do and she made us cupcakes too. Her prices are very good and we had countless compliments on our cake for both looks and taste. We highly recommend Sweet Water to all our friends.

Becca was wonderful and the cake was delicious. She charges about half of what the other bakers in the area charge, and her cake was by far the most moist and most flavorful. She was incredibly easy to work with, and I definately did not have any worries about the cake! The design was beautiful; exactly what I imagined!

We can't say enough about how wonderful Becca was. Her cake was absolutely incredible and many people at our wedding told us it was the best they had ever tasted. She has a passion for cakes and went into business a few years ago after friends recommended she try it out. We are so glad she did! The other really cool thing is that we didn't have to worry about saving the top tier for our 1 year anniversary - she actually bakes you a fresh one at your 1 year!
Her prices are very reasonable and a great value for the quality product that you receive.

We met with Becca almost a year before our wedding because we wanted to book her before someone else snatched up our wedding date. The cake was absolutely delicious! We felt she was a great "value" because she was fairly new to the industry and was getting her foot in the door. An almost "undiscovered" gem. We even used her for my bridal shower cake. I was very disappointed for how our cake looked. Although Becca can make an absolutely DELICIOUS cake, I felt as though she really did a poor job with making our cake look like the picture I had sent her... It was a plain round cake (4 tiers) with white icing, but with 3-4 bunches of sugar hydrangeas. The picture I gave her was from Brides magazine and the sugar hydrangeas were so delicate and lovely. I even sent her a swatch of the bridesmaid dress material to match the color almost exactly... The girls dresses were a wedgewood blue (almost a dark, silvery cornflower blue) and I was abhorred when we were announced into the reception and saw our cake on the dancefloor with AQUA/TEAL clumsy sugar flowers. Even though I know that barely anyone even saw the cake, I was so embarassed because I thought it was going to be exactly like the picture... I would recommend Sweetwater Bakehouse to any bride and groom based on TASTE alone, but I was very disappointed with the artistry... I suppose it depends on whether or not you are particular about color matching (mine was sort of strange) and artistry perfection...

I was very happy with my wedding cake! Becca at Sweetwater Bakehouse is so nice to work work and provides much insight into creating a unique cake. Everyone thought it was delicious too! I do have to say, I wish that there was more icing in between each layer. In some pictures I have seen, you can kind of see each seperate layer and it doesn't look seamless.

While I was incredibly happy to find someone willing to create a completely vegan cake for my wedding, I ended up a little disappointed with Becca. We opted to use ribbons for decoration around the base of each layer and they did not look very good - they were too loose off the cake and the glue on the ribbons was very obvious. Also, Becca set our cake topper for us and not even 45 minutes into the reception, our topper toppled off of our cake. However, the cake was delicious and everyone enjoyed the taste.

I hate to have to write bad things about Sweet Water, but I have to, because unfortunately Becca managed to mess up not one, but two cakes for my wedding weekend. I was so excited when we tasted her cake and visited her in her cake shop on Benson. I loved the cake, icing and fillings,and clearly, from her design book she is immensely talented, so I'm not sure what happened during our wedding weekend. The first problem occurred when my mom and I went in to design the wedding cake. I brought in my invitation and save the date and told Becca about my wedding theme and what I wanted in a cake, but she was unable to come up with a design, so I ended up choosing one out of her book. Which was fine, but disappointing as I really wanted a custom,individual cake. The second problem occurred with the grooms cake. I had ordered a surprise cake in the shape of Ohio with various fondant cut-outs of places and things in Ohio that are special to my husband. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the rehearsal dinner (where the surprise cake was waiting for my groom and I) it looked ridiculous. There were four, very poorly,cut out fondant placards, and that was it. It was a joke. The third problem occurred on my wedding day. My cake was supposed to have sugar icicles on top of the cake and coming down the cake as decoration. I actually saw Becca bringing the cake in and setting it up before I headed out with my bridal party for pictures. Unfortuantley she failed to mention to me, my bridal party, my day-of coordinator, my mom, or the site coordinator that she had broken the icicles at her bakery and didn't have time to remake them. So when I came back from pictures the cake was set-up sans icicles and Becca was gone. It was unbelievably unprofessional,and extremely disappointing. The cake looked pretty, however, it wasn't what we had paid for - the icicles were the most prominent part of the design. I will say that the cake was delicious and her pricing is reasonable. However, I can not recommend Sweet Water Bakehouse based on my wedding weekend experience with her. I even emailed her about these issues after I returned from my honeymoon and her response was a short two sentences that said she cares about customer service and would be happy to make us a free cake. Sadly, I wanted my cakes for our wedding weekend, and a cake now does me no good.

I am really surprised this baker received such great reviews. From the start, she was trying to get me to change my mind of having a cupcake wedding cake. Not going to happen! But, she was the only baker I could find in the Cincy area that would consider doing a cupcake cake. Anyway, at the tasting she let me and my mom sample tiny slivers of cakes and again really recommended one of her cakes instead of the cupcakes. Then, I wanted to taste a few more flavors a few weeks later and she said she was going to charge me $25. She already had the contract signed and paid for and she was going to charge for another tasting?? No thanks. Also, the only contact after the intial visit, was through e-mail which I was not that comfortable with. Anway, I asked her to add filling in the cupcakes about a week or so out from my reception. She did not do this but of course I did not know this until the day of my reception and then it was too late. Also, she frosted then only slightly and you could see the cake instead only frosting on the top. Not good. The chocolate cupcake was so dry it crumbled all over the place. This is why I requested filling in them to moist them. Then, a week after my event, I spoke to one of the other vendors setting up that day, and she said the baker stayed about 15 minutes haphazardly (sp??) placing the cupcakes on the cake stand instead of placing them in the way we spoke about. Apparently, the baker was very rude and acted as though she did not want to be there. However, I was told that her husband was there and was very helpful to the other vendors. PLEASE RECONSIDER THIS BAKER FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY OF YOUR LIFE.
