  Delicious!!

  I went to college in Lexington and I knew Sweet Treats would me a MUST at our wedding! Shane was great at helping us decide on flavors and provided us with a beautiful cake and assorted flavors of cupcakes (including gluten free)! Our guests loved them!!

  Great Wedding Cake!

  My husband and I originally ordered a cake large enough for about 150 people. Then COVID postponed and shrank everything... Shane and the Sweet Treats crew were great to work with us in the rescheduling process, and they even down sized the cake to accommodate our smaller guest list.

  We ordered a cupcake tower with a small cake on top to cut for the reception. Ourselves and the guests all loved how it all came out. The cake was delicious and the overall look was exactly what we wanted. All the staff we met with and talked to were very accomodating and friendly.

  I highly suggest using Sweet Treats Bakery in Lexington, VA. I had my wedding at The Homestead and used them. Dawn is great to work with and does travel- she traveled 1 hr for my cake and up several mountains. The quality of cake is amazing. The flavors she has are wonderful. I suggest a tasting, even if you live far away. She has many different shapes and sizes and actually has foam so you can see approximetly how your cake would look. It was the best tasting cake I ever had at a wedding! I had marble cake and raspberry preserves. I also was able to give her ribbon that matched my colors. Dawn drives out to your location and sets up the cake herself.

  I only met in person once with the wedding cake baker at Sweet Treats and listed exactly what I wanted my wedding cake to look like. Eight months later on my wedding day, the cake looked exactly like I wanted to and it was beautiful and delicious! The owner had so many different options to choose from at the tasting and took a lot of time out of his day to meet with us. Great vendor to work with!

We went back in before we left town to reserve our order. I did get a little nervous because he didn't ask for any money until someone else wanted our date. When we moved to the area a few weeks before the wedding, we went back in to check on everything, and he didn't have the record of our order in his order book (but it was okay, because the date was still available, since he had written us in on his calendar). He was very flexible with our decisions, and we found his prices to be extremely reasonable. My husband isn't crazy about floofy flavors, so we just got basic chocolate and vanilla, and I still received many comments from guests on how delicious the cupcakes were!
