Wonderful!

We were so thankful we hired Andy, because he definitely helped make our wedding unforgettable and amazing! He did a fantastic job playing great songs and also making really important announcements (some we didn’t even give him any warning about)! He was perfect and rolled with all the punches and made sure our wedding was everything we hoped for. We can not recommend Andy at Sweet Sound enough!

Andy was amazing to work with! He was prompt replying to emails, early to our in-person meeting, and already set up at our venue by the time we got there - which of course, was early. He was very professional and brought a lot of experience to the table, but also enjoyed his work and really geeked out about having the opportunity to bring the party for our special day! He made ME excited about our wedding.

Outlining the run-of-show was very easy with him - he provided a detailed form to fill out that didn't leave anything off. And during our planning meeting, we discussed the form and tweaked it to make sure we got everything we wanted while also ensuring the evening would run smoothly.

The day-of, Andy was well prepared, read the room well to know when to pick up the pace and get people out on the dance floor and when to play a slow dance song. He even accommodated our special requests that really personalized our wedding to make it us.

I really can't say enough wonderful things about Andy and Sweet Sound - very professional, well organized, fun to work with, and of course, a great value!

Gerald was absolutely fantastic. There was open communication from the beginning and it continued through the event. Gerald was great at guiding us through the process and embraced our off-the-wall musical selections with enthusiasm. Once the ceremony and dinner ended Gerald kept the party going the until the very end. His attention to detail was fantastic and took a lot of worry off of our busy plate. We highly recommend Gerald!

Andy and Gerald were wonderful to work with. They were very helpful throughout the planning process and did a great job facilitating the events of the day. I considered not having a DJ and doing the music ourselves but I am really glad we chose to go with Sweet Sound Productions because they provided a lot of direction and clarity as we went through the different events of the day.

Love Sweet Sound! Both Gerald and Andy were professional from the first contact via email, all the way through the end of the wedding night. We had the pleasure of having Andy at our wedding. He was super-easy to talk to, energetic, and very accommodating to various requests to make our wedding smooth, fun & memorable! Guests loved the music choices, and enjoyed themselves on the dance floor. We highly recommend their services!!

When searching for a DJ for our wedding, we found Sweet Sound Productions and chose to reach out to them based off of their high ratings from other couples. Not surprisingly, we're very pleased with our experience as the other couples were, so we're happy to give them 5 stars! They were very responsive from the beginning, and very easy to connect with. They gave us a clear timeline, always checked in with us when they said they would, and made the entire process very smooth and easy. We really enjoyed our DJ, Andy, who was extremely outgoing, fun, exciting and personable. He really understood our vision and carried it out effectively. Their service was wonderful and overall a great value, so we HIGHLY recommend Sweet Sound Productions to any couple getting married in the Raleigh/Durham area!

Oh my goodness, where to begin?! We got so many compliments on Gerald. Can't recommend him highly enough. Song after song after song was pure gold. You know when you've got everyone on the dance floor, and then the next song comes on and it's kind of a letdown, and people start to walk away? Yeah, that never happened :)

Gerald rocked it from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing -- for hours. Everything sounded great, as far as speakers, etc. go. And the fun color lights! They really helped to usher in the party atmosphere.

His emcee skills were also great; he has a really nice voice and helped us keep to schedule. He commanded attention but wasn't trying to steal the spotlight or anything, like some of the guys I've seen at other events. Just right.

Beyond that, Gerald was incredibly chill and easy to work with the whole way along. We really enjoyed talking with him and appreciated that he worked a short list of our own favorite songs in throughout the night.

And cherry on the top is the value. I shopped around a good amount and was getting nervous that I wouldn't be able to find someone good for less than literally thousands; who knew DJs cost so much? Gerald was by far the best price I found, with super straightforward contract and payment. Wish I could give him more than five stars for value!!!

Don't hesitate and book him ASAP if you can. You will not regret it.

Andy was the DJ at my wedding! Everybody loved his personality and friendliness. His energy is so spirited right from the heart. He has never met a stranger. I would recommend him very much!!!!

They were so kind to us and treated us like family. Extremely accommodating and professional. Our DJ Andy was the highlight of the reception, every guest loved him and the he did a great job improvising what ype of music to play based on the time in the evening and how the crowd was feeling. 10/10

Gerald was amazing! We received so many compliments regarding his DJ services and couldn't have been more pleased with the service he provided! He listened to what we requested in our music selection and kept the party going all night long! We had a great time and would recommend him to everyone!

I am SO glad Gerald was able to DJ for our wedding! From the get-go he did an amazing job keeping all our values and preferences in mind, and he continued to stay flexible with new updates that came up. My sisters-in-law recommended him as he DJ'd their weddings too, and I'm so glad I can keep this "tradition" going! I would recommend Gerald to anyone, 10/10! Andy was literally the life of our party. From our pre wedding meeting to the day of the wedding he was very responsive and so positive. We were also able to rent uplighting from the company which was executed brilliantly. I keep getting compliments on the dance party and for that I have Andy to thank!

Andy from Sweet Sound was our DJ for our wedding on April 29, 2017. He was exuberant, easy going, and just plain awesome! We had a destination wedding, so much of our communication took place via email and/or Face Time, but everything worked out just as we had imagined. He kept the energy of the reception going and had a smile on his face the entire time. I wouldn't have changed a thing and highly recommend Sweet Sound to those looking for a DJ to be a part of your BIG day!

I am so glad that I chose Sweet Sound Productions for my wedding. Gerald was extremely responsive and easy to work with, which was very important for me since I had to plan my wedding from out of state. He has materials prepared to get all the important details, and he offered suggestions for anything we were unsure about. We worked with Gerald for both the ceremony and reception music, and he did an amazing job with both! He was able to get all the instrumental songs we wanted for our ceremony, and he kept the party going the whole night during the reception. He knew exactly what type of music to play during each part of the reception, and he worked off of both our favorites list and the vibe of our guests to keep everyone dancing all night. I would highly recommend working with Gerald as your DJ; he does a great job and he is very laid back and easy to get along with as well!

Gerald was great to work with! He brought Andy along with him for our day and he was great as well. Gerald asked questions he needed to and he worked with us on our timeline using his experience. He really loves working weddings and sounds excited for his busy wedding season this year! Gerald and Andy were able to work with each other to make it easier as our venue had 2 floors plus a loft where the dj equipment was set up. We had a brunch wedding and they were a large part of why we had dancers right to the end. Everyone loved hearing those songs that just want to make them dance-From BSB to Usher to Sweet Carolina. We were very pleased with everything!

Gerald and Andy were exceptionally wonderful. They were contstantly playing music to fit the mood of the reception which was a good one! His introductions were great too. They played good mellow music to get dinner too as well. I highly recommend Sweet Sound Productions to anyone getting married, having a party and basically any occasion that needs good music. He is very organized (and flexible) with your timeline.

Highly recommend if you need DJ services. The meeting before the wedding was extremely detailed oriented as far as the times and different songs we wanted for each activity. Very professional.

Great price and Great Service. Andy did a fabulous job at our wedding reception. Even did it in a Hurricane. He wasn't able to make it back to Raleigh the same night so he got a hotel and it was no biggie. Thanks for the great time!

We got married in Kinston in the middle of Hurricane Matthew. Andy was AMAZING. He didn't miss a beat and kept the party going despite the crazy weather outside. We were bummed that we had to end the reception a bit early due to a curfew on the town but Andy managed to improvise and get all important moments included in our reception. We really can't say enough good things about our experience with Sweet Sound Productions. Highly recommended!!

Gerald of Sweet Sound Productions was a delight to work with! He responded to all of our e-mails and queries in a timely, professional manner and was just a really fun guy to have as our wedding DJ. Gerald sat down with us for well over an hour in the month leading up to the wedding to ensure that everything was planned out--his reception schedule was super thorough and really helped us to plan out how we wanted the evening to go. Great job at keeping the energy on the dance floor going steadily throughout the night--would definitely recommend Sweet Sound for weddings, parties, and any other occasions where music is needed!

I can't say enough good things about Gerald. He's super easy to work with, extremely responsive, and the pricing is transparent and fair. At the reception, Gerald was great at reading the crowd and had everybody dancing pretty much the entire time, and also provided great music for the dinner and cocktail hour. Plus, he goes above and beyond to jump in where needed. We needed some uplighting on short notice a few weeks before the wedding, and Gerald made this happen for us. Highly recommended, you can't go wrong with Sweet Sound!

Gerald is awesome!! He would respond to me within an hour of when I sent him an email. He worked with me to make sure everything went exactly how I wanted it to. It snowed on the weekend of my wedding and he let me know that he would not miss it and when we had to make changes to the flow of the reception due to the weather, he went with it and made it happen. I couldn't have been happier with how he handled the night! Would STRONGLY recommend him for your wedding.

Great vibe!! Hired for a Corp event and it really boosted the moral of the employees! Great music and lots of dancing. Every event I have I will be hiring sweet sound to provide the entertainment!!

Gerald was a wonderful DJ who had quite the variety of music! He is intuitive and created the perfect playlists for us for each different part of our reception. Our guests commented on the ambiance of te reception and LOVED having Gerald. He is an essential for a perfect party!! Professional, on time, flexible, yet fun. You want a good DJ who can get everyone dancing? Gerald is your guy. He had four generations on the dance floor and it was classy and wild.

Gerald is an absolute blast! Very accommodating and friendly to your schedule and needs. I gave him a few samples of songs we both enjoyed and his selection throughout the. Night was spot on. He had the entire dance floor filled with people from ages 3 to 80. We had a less traditional ceremony and reception, but Gerald was fully on it and very organized to make it flawless.

Gerald was so professional & really in tune with our guests. We celebrated a small non-traditional wedding & had some music that was completely different for the ceremony. He was so flexible & covered the ceremony just as we had planned, & kept everyone dancing on the floor 100% of the time. Gerald with Sweet Sound Productions was amazing!! He was very professional both via email correspondence as well as in person. This was especially important as I was planning our wedding from out of state. He was always available for any questions that came up and I truly felt that he helped make our wedding a once in a lifetime event tailored specifically for us. I had many guests comment on how much they liked the music during both the cocktail hour as well as during the rest of the reception. Gerald was awesome the best dj I've heard and I've been to a lot of weddings. Gerald was very professional his music and song list were always perfectly timed. His professionalism also put us at ease as he did the music for the ceremony and reception. Everything was so smooth and flawless. During pre wedding meetings Gerald had great suggestions and really had an exceptional grasp on how everything would flow. I would highly highly recommend Gerald as your wedding dj. Our wedding was made complete by Gerald. It was entertainging, personal, fun and very well planned out. From the first day we decided to use Sweet Sound, the emails and phone calls were frequent, as we had questions and more silly requests. Every step of the way the professonalism was amazing, the care that was showed into the smallest details for us, the answers for our weird requets were always done with a smile and a comforting attitude that we were not crazy for asking anything from our DJ! Our day was made special, unique, intimate and very memorable thanks to the mood that was set, from the pre-lude music in the church, untill the very last exit song we had. Gerald was FANTASTIC!! He DJed my sisters wedding and it was a wonderful, fun reception. I love his planning approach, he took the time to get to know our personal style and we really just put it all in his hands and he delivered exactly what we wanted. We had all ages at our reception and he did a perfect job cycling through the fun group dances and the hoppy house music and the get it on rap, all while remembering to pepper in slow dances to give everyone a break. I will definitely be booking him for my own wedding as well!

Gerald did an awesome job as the DJ at our wedding! We would recommend him to everyone! All of our guests had a great time at our wedding, and he knows how to play music to keep people on the dance floor. Any song we wanted, he had. The quality of the music was awesome. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, he was always easy to get in touch with, helpful, responded quickly to emails and phone calls. He went above and beyond for meeting me and my husband face to face on several occasions to talk about what kind of music & style we wanted. I am a North Carolina born gal, but I currently live out of the country. Gerald met me via skype, phone and again in person (upon my return for the wedding) to organize the music for my multicultural and multilingual wedding. He was very professional, flexible and went above and beyond to make my wedding smooth and enjoyable. He was literally like a wedding planner as he helped me with a lot of details I had forgotten to contemplate regarding my wedding and the reception. His tranquil and very friendly manner set my “stressed out, I'm about to get married attitude" at ease. I would highly recommend him to any bride to be for her wedding. Incredibly personal approach to the art of DJing - met with us several times before the event to make sure he understood our music preferences and the anticipated atmosphere for our event. We had a bit of an unorthodox reception and he was very flexible with our format and offered great suggestions for how to make things run smoothly. VERY HONEST!! We accidentally paid him twice via check in the mail and he contacted us immediately when he received the second payment to let us know our mistake!

I am so lucky to have Gerald with Sweet Sound Productions as DJ for my wedding. After a last minute timing issue with a previous DJ, Gerald adjusted his schedule so that he could save the day and DJ my wedding. If that is not enough, he accomodated some very eclectic music requests and did a wonderful job the day of the wedding keeping the guests happy and functioning as a master of ceremonies.

After contacting several DJs and not getting anywhere, I was about to give up on a wedding DJ. Then I found out about Sweet Sound Productions.
They have experience in doing weddings and their knowledge on receptions was invaluable to my wedding planning process.
They helped to ensure the wedding ceremony and reception transitioned into a night no one would forget.
Their communication was top notch as well as the reliability of services, I feel these two components are some of the most important to have in a wedding vendor.
Sweet Sound Productions did an amazing job with the music selections, playing songs not only that I wanted to hear, but my guests' requests too. They were excellent at making announcements about the different reception events and truly made them all happen.
They even got people on the dance floor that I never knew danced!

What an excellent job Gerald did at the wedding yesterday! Very good at "reading" the mood of the guests and providing them with just the right thing (dance, background, get up on your feet music, a joke, etc.). Gerald is very polite and professional. He took the time to understand what we wanted and adapted to that but used his own skill set and feeling of the crowd to keep our reception lively. Communications with him were never an issue and he did everything he could put us at ease on our wedding day. He even offered to bring us food and drinks on several occasions. All of our guest seemed to enjoy the night and commented on how they wished they had more nights like that and I know that Gerald was huge part of that. If you need a DJ who is down to earth and knows to make your event about you and not him (most of the DJs I spoke to were all about themseleves and your event was just a chance for them to preform), then Sweet Sounds is the way to go.

Great job and very flexible. The music choices were great and we heard our odd-ball song requests sprinkled in there throughout the night. Very good if you need a DJ that might need to read the crowd to know what songs/styles to play.
