Best cake I have ever had
This was the biggest hit of the night. I had SO many people coming up to me to ask where the cake was from because it was the best cake they ever had. After the cake tasting I was so excited to have it again! They were great when we needed to postpone, and I had flowers brought to decorate they cake and they did it all day of and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Everything was delivered on time and I have no complaints! I will be getting all future cakes from this bakery! -

We got our dream wedding cake thanks to Sweet Perfections!
There was never a choice for our baker - we knew we had to have Sweet Perfections! Ken and Peggy were a pleasure to work with and we couldn't imagine going with any other bakery! We had quite a unique vision for our cake and Sweet Perfections did not disappoint!

Delicious Cake; beautifully done!
Ordered the Cheeze torte/choc sponge cake with buttercream for my daughter's wedding. It was by far one of the best cakes I've ever had. Very moist and flavorful, buttercream light and not too sweet! Ken was very professional and prompt in our emails. The cake was delivered at the time they said it would be and beautifully decorated with fresh roses. I highly recommend Sweet Perfections! -

Overjoyed!
I knew all along I wanted Sweet Perfections to make our wedding cake. We scheduled a private cake tasting and had the opportunity to learn about the business. Ken and Peggy truly have a passion for baking like none other. The booking process was seamless. We selected the red velvet and peanut butter chocolate ganache flavors in a 2-tiered display cake, with additional sheet cakes for the remainder of the guests. The cake was made and delivered on the day of and I was overjoyed to see it for the first time. It looked better than imagined. Our guests are still talking about how delicious the cake was! It was a pleasure to work with Ken and Peggy. I felt so at ease and confident in their ability, and I surely wasn’t let down.

Absolutely Stunning!
We worked with Ken at Sweet Perfections to come up with our cake design. We sat with Ken for almost 2 hours tasting six different cakes and discussing details for ours. Ken really took the time to understand all of our wants for our cake design, and the outcome was so much better than we could have imagined. The cake was breathtaking! Each and every detail we discussed was on the cake, and you could smell the cake from 5 feet away. It was nothing short of perfect, and we could not be more satisfied with choosing Ken and Sweet Perfections Bake Shoppe for our bakery needs!! -

Delicious desserts!
Sweet Perfections was amazing and easy to work with! We planned our wedding from a different state, so all of our communication was over email with Ken. He was always prompt and helpful in his emails!
We decided on mini pies and mini eclairs, all of which was amazing! Day of the wedding, everything was dropped off and displayed wonderfully. I would highly recommend them!! -

We hired Sweet Perfections to do a desserts table including torts, mini tarts, French patties, cookies, and macaroons, and a small two layer cake at our wedding. It was a wonderful experience! We had met with another bakery shortly before and were considering it. I am so glad that we decided to still do our consult with Sweet Perfections as it had already been booked. Ken was so much more professional, and we felt comfortable that he would a great job. We were not disappointed! The desserts were beautiful and delicious! We received rave reviews from our guests on how good they were. Ken also went out of his way to ensure that everything was delivered earlier than normal as our wedding was a little earlier than normal.

Ken is a TRUE professional. We booked a tasting with him and quickly decided that Sweet Perfections would be our cake vendor. Ken was patient, accommodating, fun, and gave us great advice! We did a small cake as well as 14 dozen donuts and got SO many compliments. The cake was AMAZING (loved the cheese tort) and the donut display was super impressive and delicious! Highly recommend Sweet Perfections! -

Sweet Perfections created a custom Lego Cake that was the star of our cocktail hour and reception! It was expertly done and worth every penny. We described what we wanted to Ken, but he went above and beyond in the quality and detail of the cake! Most of our guests thought that the cake Legos were actual Legos baked into the side of the cake, they were that good. On top of that, it tasted delicious! :) -

PROS:
Ken created a custom look for our wedding cake, and it turned out like we had dreamed! We chose Tuxedo Strawberry as our flavor, because it's light and delicious - perfect after having a big meal for dinner. (Having layers of vanilla and chocolate tailored to everyone's taste buds) Each family that attended loved the cake and made it a point to tell us again after the wedding! My husband and I are very excited about receiving our anniversary cake this June. We are so happy that Sweet Perfections will provide a fresh cake for us, so we didn't have to freeze any from our special day.
CONS:
Our one set-back in our mind was price. We decided on a smaller two-tier cake for pictures and to serve immediate family, and then a sheet cake for the other guests, because it saved us money. Yes, it was a custom-look cake, and the value in the cake itself is there, however, we could have spent less elsewhere. We overcame this by moving our budget around. We do recommend them if you're able to spend a bit more for quality.

Sweet Perfections is absolutely perfect for anyone looking for the perfect wedding cake or any type of event cake. For our summer wedding we chose the Strawberry shortcake. It was super light and fluffy and everyone loved it, and I normally hate strawberry shortcake. Their cakes are just that good! We also had a grooms cake done in the badger-packer-brewer sign and it also turned out phenomenal. From the design to the service to the taste, everything was perfect! They are definitely perfectionists and contributed to making our wedding day the best day ever. -

Our cakes from Sweet Perfections were so delicious and turned out beautifully. We went to a tasting at Sweet Perfections after having had two very disappointing tastings at other bakeries. We liked that we got to choose the types of cake we could taste, and it was all delicious. It ended up being slightly more expensive than the (unimpressive) other cakes we tasted, but it was ABSOLUTELY worth it! We chose two flavors: black forest and a yellow cake with lemon custard filling. Everyone raved about how good it was. Apparently, my grandpa had four slices! I am only sorry that I was too busy to eat a piece--I am still kicking myself! The staff at Sweet Perfections were a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process, and we never had to worry about the quality of the cake or whether it would arrive on time because we could tell from their professionalism (and our delicious tasting) that this would not possibly be a concern. Ken also offered to place the flowers from the florist and the cake topper when they delivered the cake, and it ended up looking beautiful. We can't wait to come back to Sweet Perfections for our next cake--and this time we are keeping it all for ourselves! -

Working with Sweet Perfections for our wedding cake was a piece of cake. I was given their name from Tony at Chef Jack’s. From the initial contact with setting up a tasting until the end, it was so easy to work with Ken! He was great and the cake looked flawless! I took a photo from Pinterest and they re-created it in my wedding colors! Great price and we loved the white dove cake! So moist! I must also mention he was very flexible. I forgot to give him a final count before paying him and accidentally ended up with an extra 8” satellite cake. Ken allowed us to pick it up for the rehearsal dinner which I had planned to get a cake/cupcakes anyway! My mom has been baking and decorating cakes for my entire life and she couldn’t get over how beautiful the cake was and how good it tasted! We can’t wait to get our one year anniversary cake too! Thank you! -

Both my husband and I chose Sweet Perfections because we often visit this bakery; I would say once or twice monthly to enjoy a cupcake or other treats. My sister also had her wedding cake provided by this outstanding bakery. My husband and I were so surprised when we were able to see our cakes. Our cake was made with three tiers with fondant leaves cascading down the front. We did not have a cake topper however we had them carve into the top "J+J" which to some maybe strange but it was very meaningful and appropriate for both of us. We wanted somethings different, something others would not have yet uniquely fit us. The cake was also textured which was a wonderful touch. It was great working with Ken (owner) who provided us with suggestions as we determined what type of cake to have. It was fresh tasting, light, and looked amazing certainly worth the money spent. I also ordered a "grooms cake" of my husband's Ford Mustang. They created the cake based on a picture I provided and was so much more than I expected...and he was so surprised and amazed to see it--with no regrets we highly recommend others to try Sweet Perfections! -

I love a good cake - and this one was delicious!! We actually signed a contract with another cake vendor in Milwaukee (and paid a deposit). However, when my mom had a cake from Sweet Perfections at my bridal shower, we decided that we had to switch and go with them - it's honestly that good. They were great to work with too! -

My wedding cake was beyond perfect. We actually got married about 4 hours away form the bakery but I just HAD to have their cheez torte for my wedding cake and I was bound to find a way to make it happen. Their prices are very good and everyone at my wedding absolutely RAVED about how unique my wedding cake was and how delicious it was. I could not have asked for a better baker to make my dream cake. On my initial consultation I brought in a picture of what design I had in mind and they made it almost an EXACT replica. I couldn't believe it. This place is the place to go for any occasion cake, but especially custom wedding cakes. LOVE LOVE LOVE Sweet Perfections!!! -

Our cake was wonderful!! Dan made the experience very comfortable and easy. We were able to choose from several flavors, which made everyone happy. Sweet Perfections also gives you a coupon for a small cake on your first anniversary so that you don't need to freeze the top and try to eat it a year later. We do not have enough good things to say about Ken and his bakery!! People are still talking about the cake, unfortunately we only had the bite when we cut it...and we came back from our Honeymoon to find no leftovers. We are excited for our one year anniversary cake!! We could not be happier that we only chose one flavor, no one was lost or confused, our cake was the Sweetheart, if you love strawberries and chocolate, this is the cake for you!! We stop through any time that they are open and we are traveling through just to get some cupcakes! If you are looking for a fresh delicious cake, this is your bakery! On top of the taste, our cake was absolutely beautiful, Ken was a great communicator, letting me know what was needed, color swatch, a small mirror to place my topper on, Sweet Perfections was a pleasure to work with. -

Sweet Perfections Bake Shoppe was absolutely amazing!! They made the cake for our wedding day and WOW was it STUNNING and ABSOLUTELY delicious! Ken was great at answering all of my questions and working with me to make a custom cake that was beyond perfect for our wedding day. Sweet Perfections exceeded all of my expectations. They are professional, talented and did I mention they have delicious cakes!! -

Not only did these guys win the Cake Boss in 2011, but they came highly recommended from many of my friends! I had done a little shopping around as to not sway my opinion with others', but they have absolutely earned their reputation! What really won me over was not only the cake, but their excitement and eagerness to make the ideas I had into a reality! Another cake vendor said it couldn't be done, but Ken said it could, and he did! I already have people from my wedding asking who did our cake because of the taste and the look, but wait until they experience their customer service! :) I'd recommend them anytime!! -

My mom demanded we have wedding cake from Sweet Perfections and she made the right call. We had two different flavors of Cheez Torte and it was delicious. Ken was super easy to work with and even made recommendations to help us save some money. My only regret is that our cake is all gone. -

My sister told me about these bakers. She had me at “Cake Boss Wisconsin 2011” . We ordered the patent-pending “Cheez Torte” ---we heard a lot of comments on the cake. Unfortunately, my new hubby and I were too busy dancing and socializing to eat the cake when it was served but even though we didn’t get to eat it until hours later in our suite, it was still delicious. I only wished I had another slice.
Ken was incredibly responsive and very flexible as I was trying to determine how I wanted the cake to look. At first, I decided that I wanted them to add ribbon and then I determined I also wanted our monogram on the cake. Ken took everything in stride and supported me in my decisions. And the cake was beautiful. -

Beautiful cake, exactly the way I had pictured it! The cake was fresh and delicious! Many of our guests could not believe how great our cake tasted! A week later we still had cake leftover that is amazing! Also, we didn't have to worry about saving the top for our anniversary because Sweet Perfections (with coupon) gives a free anniversary cake made of the same flavor as the wedding cake! (I can't wait for that!) The staff was patient, helpful, professional, courteous, and accommodating! With a signature patent-pending cheese torte, Sweet Perfections is the way to go! -

Ken was great! We signed up during a free delivery and 10% off monthly special, and I'm not sure how often they do that, but it would have been worth the whole amount. Definitely go with the Cheewse Torte; it's amazing. Other than that the rewst of their cakes are normal. They were very accomodating and easy to work with. -

I wanted my wedding cake to have the same pattern as the embroidery of my wedding dress. Sweet Perfections went above and beyond my request. The cake was beautiful, it fact it was so perfect I had several people ask me if it was a real cake when they saw it. I ordered a three tier cake and it was delivered in perfect order. This was the first and only baker we needed to visit. The chocolate with fresh raspberry mousse is to die for! The cake is light and fluffy and SO delicious, it melts in your mouth! Our cake from Sweet Perfections was absolutely gorgeous AND it tasted amazing! They were extremely helpful, flexible and willing to do whatever we had in mind for our wedding cake. The tasting session was incredible - the hardest part was choosing which cake to go with. We ended up with a yellow cake with a tiramisu filling - incredible. Our cake served about 150 people and was very reasonable for the amount. They were at the reception on time and decorated the cake with flowers we left for them. They also have a service that instead of saving your topper for your one year anniversary, you go back to the shop and they make you a special anniversary cake for free.

Great five star cake and pastries! Sweet Perfections already had 3 weddings lined up for the day, but they were willing to work with us.
We ordered a bridal cake and a double high sheet cake as well as a dessert bar of an assortment of bars, cream puffs and eclairs to be displayed on a six tiered pastry stand as suggested by Ken.
All desserts were delivered on time and displayed properly without any problems. Everything looked amazing! The cake was just as we had ordered and hoped for/expected as were the small desserts.
Everything tasted delicious as well. We heard many very positive compliments and only positive. We even overheard people saying they don’t usually like cake but this one was delicious.
Exceptional job all the way!

We absolutely LOVED our cake from Sweet Perfections. Ken was very welcoming during our cake tasting and I can't speak more highly of their famous cheese torte. Guests are still raving about how delicious it was. An anniversary cake is a great perk, as it allowed us to serve our top tier and not have to purchase extra cake for guests. The design on the cake was absolutely gorgeous, and delivery was on time and well coordinated with our other vendors. There was some confusion about serving instructions and our cake was served with the fondant on, but that's no big deal. Overall, delicious and beautiful, what more can you ask for.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Ken and Sweet Perfections. Ken was so wonderful to work with, and even when he told us that he wouldn't be able to deliver our wedding cake to our reception site, he got in touch with our caterer to help with the transfer. If that is not accommodating, I don't know what is! We had two different types of cake (both exquisite) and we also ordered the dessert buffet for our guests. O.M.G. We found Sweet Perfections at the Waukesha Bridal Expo in fall 2012. We started the planning process with them 6 months prior to our wedding date and found them to be extremely flexible and helpful. We knew we would have some obstacles for our wedding cake- we needed a cake for a Sunday afternoon wedding and wanted both a small two-tiered cake for us and cupcakes for our guests. Sweet Perfections does all of that! We ordered carrot, chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet cupcakes for our guests- SO many compliments! For our small cake we ordered Sweet Perfections' signature cake- Cheez Torte. It was fantastic!
We worked with Ken Heil- owner, and communication was great via phone. He took the time away from the store front to speak with us about our order. Due to numbers and budget we changed our order three times and he was more than willing to adjust :)
We cannot wait to go back for our one year anniversary cake next June! -

They are so nice at the shop, and they even give you a card for a free anniversary cake so that it is fresh for your anniversary. The design we chose fit our floral theme, and they even made sure the colors were exactly the same as our flowers. I can't wait to get our anniversary cake because their cake is soooo good. I would highly reccomend this bakery to every bride. -

The cake was SOOO good. Everyone at our wedding raved about how delicious our cake was. We decided on the cheese torte and it really was the best tasting cake I had ever had.
My husband had a few issues with the manager about payment schedule, but it was worked out.
For 500$ and serving around 150 ppl, it was amazing! -

Our wedding cake was not only stunning visually, but the best wedding cake (or cake in general!) that we've ever tasted. We had 3 tastings planned at various bakeries and Sweet Perfections happened to be first. We didn't bother going to the other two - it was so good! Ken helped us design a beautiful wedding cake and fun groom's cake with two different flavors. All of our guests echoed that it was the best cake they've ever had. We'd highly recommend Sweet Perfections and are already looking forward to having our anniversary cake!! -

Delicious Cake!
Overall, our experience with Sweet Perfections was good. Our guests loved the cake and it looked absolutely gorgeous. We had a small display cake and the rest was sheet cake. All of the pieces looked the same and everything was delicious. We were a bit frustrated because we were not sent a reminder about the final payment. In the end, we needed to pay a fee since we missed the final payment date on the contract. They were flexible with delivery and everything looked great on our wedding day! -

We had sweet perfections create a 2 tiered cake and 200 cupcakes for our May wedding. The cake was DELICIOUS and the guests were raving about the cupcakes. The tasting was a bit disappointing because you only got to taste 3 cake flavors, but the one we ended up choosing was amazing. They are very easy to work with and made the cake look exactly as I had envisioned it. They delivered and set up the cake at our reception venue for a reasonable price. -

We wanted a cake that had a unique flavor and tasted "lux". Sweet Perfections had a LOT of fun flavors to choose from. We went with the Chez Torte in two different flavors - one was the original and one had white cake with chocolate ganache around the cheesecake. Our cake definitely stood out in flavor above the standard wedding cake. We worked with both Ken and Kate throughout our process, and they were both great at communication. I wished they'd had some more creative, less traditional designs, but you can never go wrong with a classic look. -

After tasting Sweet Perfections at my brother's wedding, I knew Ken's delicious cakes would be hard to beat. Still, since my new husband and I were getting married in Madison, we decided to try some more local bakers in the hopes of saving on transportation costs. Those cakes were good, but when we went back for our tasting with Ken at Sweet Perfections... well, there was just no turning back.
Ken made us a gorgeous cake that was just what we asked for, and we received numerous compliments throughout the night about how great the cake was. My only regret is that I didn't have room for seconds, but I already can't wait to receive my anniversary cake next year! -

Our cake was even more delicious than I remembered from our tasting. They designed our cake exactly the way we wanted, and even did a perfect color match to my dress. We got a bunch of complements on the cake from our guests, and even though in general we are not "cake people", I am very glad we decided to go with Sweet Perfections.
My only complaint would be that I wish someone had done a quick design touch-up at our venue because part of the design must have been squished in transport. -

Sweet Perfections is amazing, Ken is great. They created a scrumptious white flamingo wedding cake with cascading fall leaves. The guests loved the moist white cake with mouthwatering mango filling. I also awarded my guests with an assortment of gourmet cupcakes which they could pick from for their parting gifts. I still receive compliments 1.5yrs later. I also shared Sweet Perfections with a few other brides to be...all I can say is after their cake tastings they also secured their wedding cakes from Sweet Perfections. -

The cake was delicious and by far one of the best we've tasted!! They were prompt and it was beautiful. The only thing I would like to be different is if they would be more gracious with their samples - we spent enough money with them I was hoping they would let my mother have samples when she stopped by after our official tasting, but it sounds like it's not their policy. -

Best cake everrrrr!
Sweet Perfections, the name says it all! We got our wedding cake from here and working with Ken was a pleasure. You could tell how much he cared about his work and wanting to make sure we had our dream wedding cake. We had two flavors of cake: Lemon/Raspberry and Chocolate/Peanut Butter. WOW. The cake was absolutely amazing, I cannot express enough how great the flavors were. We received so many compliments on the cake! Highly recommend using them! -

Their cake was so awesome we couldn't just pick one! We ended up with 4 different cakes and opted for a dessert table with a spread of French pastries, chocolates, cream puffs, and eclairs too. The guests RAVED about the dessert table. Although the bakery didn't set it up and the vendor had to arrange it, but it turned out perfectly. I loved the creative ideas as we wanted to steer away from traditional. -

We used Sweet Perfections for our wedding in September and it was amazing. My brother and sister-in-law also used them for their wedding in June 2008 and their cake was so pretty it made it on the Sweet Perfections truck. Ken was so accommodating and listened to what we wanted out of the cake. Everything was exactly how we wanted it. I would highly recommend using Sweet Perfections for your next event. -

Overall, we were happy with our cake. It was delicious and was decorated basically how we had envisioned. Ken is very friendly and it is obvious that he takes pride in what he does.
We did have a disagreement over how we could display the cake. Also, there was some miscommunication, both leading up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding when they forgot some of our original requests. -

Our venue provided a dessert with dinner, but we still wanted a small cake for us and our bridal party to have as a special thing. We went to sweet perfections and tried a selection of their cupcakes and really enjoyed them. We ended up with their dove wedding cake, which was good but we regretting not getting the PB&G - not the bakery's fault by any means. Since we were only getting a small one tier cake to feed about 20 people I discussed it with the manager before ordering and was told the price would be around $60-80. I thought that was a great price, however I should have gotten it in writing from him because next time I came in to order my total was $150 - wow what a difference! I tried to mention our previous discussion on pricing, but it was clear there was no budging him. We needed a cake so I just went with it. Perhaps if we had ordered a traditional sized cake we may have not felt so rushed during the ordering process or been told different things at different times, but who knows. The cake was beautifully done and the piping on it for the design was great, I just didn't appreciate being told two different things and going in there expecting to pay far less than what they charged me. -

The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing. We had many comments on how great our wedding cake was. We began our process working with Kate. She did our cake tasting, took all of our information and order, and met with us to take our ribbon that was used for the cake (was supposed to be used). Kate was wonderful to work with. She was very professional and helpful. We never did get to meet Ken in person, but had a couple of phone calls with him and send a couple of emails. Ken was rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately this was the only stressful part of our entire wedding preparation. First he called and said we needed to give him ribbon. I informed him we had. When he found it he said we couldn't use the ribbon we brought in because it was sheer. Ok, understandable that he wanted it to look good, but he was so rude about it. Especially seeing as though we had met with Kate and given her our ribbon and she said it should be fine. Regardless of Ken's unprofessionalism we would recommend Sweet Perfection for the beauty and taste of the cake. Just be prepared to potentially have to deal with a difficult personality. -

Ken was great to work with, and the cake was beautiful. We kept the design simple and provided a picture of what we hoped to replicate. The execution was perfect. The cake itself was pretty good, though the buttercream icing was a tad too sweet. I had hoped to add on some iced sugar cookies to our order to serve as favors. However when I called about a month before our wedding to inquire about the pricing for cookies, the person who answered the phone acted as though she was doing me a favor by providing the information. Admittedly, I was disappointed because I had hoped to use the same bakery for the cake and favors since we lived out of town. Nevertheless, we were very pleased with our experience with Ken and how the cake turned out. -

The people were nice, and helpful, BUT....we verbally verified the color of the cake 3 times the week of the wedding including the day before the wedding. However, the day of the wedding, our cake showed up at the reception site with the WRONG COLOR swirls on the outside. We were so excited about our uniquely colored cake, that when it showed up totally WRONG, we were unbelievably devastated and disgusted. It was supposed to be a center piece for people to oooo and aaah over, and instead, we tucked it away in a corner. Upon contacting Sweet Perfections to complain and discuss compensation, we were told that they only thing they COULD do is give us a gift card to their OWN STORE!!! Like we'd actually go there again!! The cake was good overall, but the fact that we called them the day before and they messed it up the day of, is just incomprehensible to us. Oh, and...when we asked them about the mix up, one of the staff said "oh, I was wondering about that, but since no color was marked on the contract, we just figured it was supposed to be white." How can you recommend this incompetence to other people who are spending hundreds of dollars on their cake? No recommendations from us, that is for sure! -

Unfortunately our opinion of Sweet Perfections has changed 100%. We were promised a free one year anniversary cake and when we called were told that we needed a "certificate" in order to redeem it. They mentioned nothing of the certificate when we ordered the cake nor do we ever remember receiving one. They claim to have sent it out right after the wedding, which in my opinion is ridiculous anyways - to expect someone to hang onto a certificate for one year. I believe I would have, if I had known I had to, but as I said - we have NO RECOLLECTION of receiving a certificate for the anniversary cake. Ken was able to confirm in his database that we qualify for the cake, but he claims he has no way to fulfill his promise to us if we don't have the certificate. Incredibly disappointing. I would NOT RECOMMENT SWEET PERFECTIONS TO ANYONE!!! -
