  Sweet n Savory Catering is excellent! I used them for our company Christmas Party. All the food was delicious and everything we hoped for! Layne was great at listening to what I wanted and giving suggestions. Everyone raved about the food and how they can't wait until next year's party!

  By far, the best catering service in town! Layne Mack was awesome to work with and very flexible. Everyone at Seapath Tower loved the food, and we will probably be booking S&S for our Christmas party. Thank you for the fine food and service!

  I had Layne from Sweet N Savory cater my wife's retirement party. Layne was fantastic for planning the event. The food was fabulous. The party staff was extremely helpful, professional, and looking for ways to help make the evening outstanding. I highly recommend Layne and Sweet N Savory!

  The team at Sweet and Savory has always been amazing to work with- they are extremely accommodating and can work with different budget, menus, and schedules. I have worked with Layne who is great at recommendations for menus and will even create new items specifically for your taste. He is extremely professional and will reach out with questions he may have and follow up with collecting headcounts etc. so I have one less thing to worry about. On the day of the event they arrive early and set up a beautiful display no matter what style event you are having catered. I have used Sweet and Savory time and time again and would strongly recommend them for any event big or small.

  Layne and the Sweet n Savory staff were wonderful to work with. They catered my wedding that was held at an odd location and they did an amazing job. I didn't have to worry about a thing, the food was incredible and we had plenty for everyone. I would highly recommend them for any event!

  The Sweet and Savory catering team was terrific. They helped us build the menu, were flexible with changing options as we needed to manage our budget. The quality of the food, (especially the tenderloin!) was amazing. The team that supported the event was professional, friendly, kind to our guests , and helped us with a variety of details at the last minute. I would highly recommend them!

Our wedding guests could not get enough of the desserts (luckily they got the extras at the brunch the day after - they disappeared immediately). They are also very reasonable when it comes to price point, so if you’re looking for wedding desserts where you can have a bunch of different things for your guests to taste, this is your place. Our guests loved being able to have bite-sized options for multiple bars and cookies so that they could have a little bit of everything. We would definitely suggest Sweet N Savory catering!

  Sweet N Savory has been my favorite restaurant since I moved to Wilmington! So naturally, I inquired about them doing our catering. We told Brent what we liked when we went into the restaurant to meet with him, and he gave us two suggestions that sounded great. He was super flexible, worked with our budget, gave us honest opinions about different things, provided us with exceptional recommendations for other caterers, etc. He quickly responded to all emails, texts, and phone calls. He provided us with a bartender to serve the drinks we had provided. It was such an EASY process throughout the whole thing, and he didn't require a deposit or payment until the week of. On top of everything....the food turned out to be delicious! We only wish we would have taken the time to sit down and eat more! EVERYONE at our wedding came up to us asking who catered and told us it was the BEST food they have ever been served at a wedding. My brother told me the shredded chicken on grits was the most delicious thing he has ever tasted! :) All the staff members were so friendly and helpful and took care of everything! What a great experience! So grateful for Sweet N Savory, Brent, & the staff who helped out! We only wish there had been leftovers so we could have taken it home and enjoyed it when things calmed down after the wedding :) Sweet N Savory will continue to be my favorite restaurant in NC!   Sweet n Savory has wonderful food and great catering services. They can cater any event your having all day long and specialty events too, like "afternoon teas". I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

  We didn't want to order a real wedding cake since we were eloping and there weren't many guests. We just wanted two carrot cakes in two different sizes so we could stack them ourselves and decorate them ourselves. Finally, the day before the ceremony, we tried Sweet and Savory. They said they could make us whatever we wanted, whatever size we wanted and the fact that we needed it the next day was no problem. it was even ready early.   Sweet & Savory has fantastic cake at a reasonable price. They have many different flavors and can decorate in any style. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. Our anniversary cake (the top tier after a year in freezer) was also amazingly tasty! Two of my cousins also got their wedding cakes from Sweet & Savory, and none of us had any trouble.

  Amazing Food and for a Great Price!

  So glad we worked with Sweet N Savory for catering our wedding. Their food has always been a favorite of mine and when Middle of the Island was already booked, Sweet N Savory was my first call. Plus, they allowed us to use their garden patio for the Farewell Brunch the next morning. Everything was amazing and Layne was super relaxed on the planning and super helpful when changes needed to be made or minds needed to be made up. While I am used to contracts and deposits, they did not require either which made me a little nervous but Layne was great at reassuring me that all would be fine and they would do everything that we wanted them to do, and they did!

  S&S catered our annual 3 day jazz festival's Hospitality Suite to provide food for 15-18 musicians and festival staff. The food was very well received, and got good reviews. Service was timely and professional. We hope to contract with them again in 2019.

The business was not very responsive when we tried to get a cake testing meeting set up and we provided specific pictures and designs of our wedding cake and colors, but when we got to the reception it was just a buttercream colored cake and not white and purple as we specified. When we orded the cake we sat down for about 10 minutes and disucssed details, but he was too distracted for comfort. I should have trusted my gut and gone with a different vendor, I wouldn't recommend this vendor for your wedding cake.
