Everyone loved our wedding cake and mini cupcakes!

Sweet Kneads Bakery made the 2 tier cake and tons of mini cupcakes in various flavors for our wedding in September 2024. They were easy to work with and reasonably priced. The cake tasting had tons of options and it was hard to only choose a few of the many different flavor combinations

Delicious Donuts!

We didn't do a cake, but we did do a donut wall through Sweet Kneads Farmington Bakery. Their donuts were delicious! This was also a very affordable option for couples who don't want to do a wedding cake. I would highly recommend Sweet Kneads to anybody and everybody for any event!

Wedding Cake

For my wedding in August, we picked out a simple style almond cake with buttercream frosting and it was amazing! We had fresh flowers at our venue waiting and someone from the bakery stayed a placed the flowers so beautifully on the cake! The cake itself tasted amazing and last for a few days after the wedding staying just as moist and flavorful! We booked a tasting before the wedding and they let us try a large array of options for our cake including fillings and they had different options! Loved it!

Everything from the first email sent to the cakes tasting to the day it was so easy :) we had so many compliments on the cake and everyone LOVED the cupcakes.

Best cake ever!

I showed them a Pinterest picture of what I wanted our cake to look like and they absolutely nailed it! Not to mention it was delicious. I had so many people ask me where we got our cake because it was that good. They were great and easy to work with and everything turned out perfect.

Our underlying theme for our wedding was the merging of art and music. We knew that the cake was an important element to convey this theme, and set aside a little extra in the budget for what we truly wanted. We met with the representatives from the bakery and showed them a couple sketches of our rather elaborate design. Together, we worked out a plan for how to bring our idea to life- the team was very open minded to our idea! When the day came and we got to see the finished cake in person, it was absolutely perfect! It looked exactly like the picture in our minds and we were beyond happy! We should also note that the actual flavors themselves were delicious as well! Farmington Bakery has been around for decades and they have certainly mastered their craft!

We loved working with Farmington Bakery for our wedding cake. It was hard choosing the flavors because they were all so delicious. We chose double chocolate and raspberry almond for our 4-tier cake. It was amazing!! Jennifer was great to work with on the initial tasting & details meeting. The cake looked so beautiful and matched my example image perfectly. We can't wait for another occasion to order more!!

The cake looked exactly how we wanted it to and the cake and cupcakes all tasted great! They showed up when they said they would, were very friendly and I would recommend them to anyone looking for some sweet treats for an event!

What a delicious wedding cake! All of our guests commented on how delicious tasted AND, we had three different flavors of cake - each layer a different flavor. All of my friends were shocked at the flavors - it was delicious. If you're looking for a delicious wedding cake, look no farther.

The one bad thing about using Farmington Bakery was that, even though I had enough servings for 40 extra pieces, there were no leftovers! The cake was so good that people couldn't get enough! I can't wait until my birthday so I have an excuse to get another cake! Our caterer only went through Buttercream, when we had the tasting with them I thought it was good but not great and the cake was going to be $900 for something basic. Farmington's cake was under $400 and tasted AMAZING!!! It was totally worth the dumb cutting fee (which we talked them into cutting in half) Go with Farmington, you won't regret it!

We really enjoyed working with Farmington Bakery to design a beautiful wedding cake for our small wedding. The color and decoration exactly matched our other decor. The cake was moist and delicious and the frosting was delightful! Yum!

I cannot stand cake but Gina was able to find something that didn't make me gag. The decorations on our cake were exactly what we were looking for, and it was beautiful and delicious. Very professional and checked in throughout our planning process to make sure we were still on the same page.

Instead of cake we did three different cookies, brownies, bars and apple pie bars. They were so easy to work with and flexible with our ideas. Everything turned out so good! YUM and great value for the price.

The cake was beautiful!! We went in without an appointment and they still sat down with us anyway, showed us all the albums they had of cakes they had done and things they could do, and explained how pricing works. Then we came back the following week and taste tested the different types of cake and fillings. It was super fun and easy! Communication with our florist was great, and the price was really good especially for how the cake turned out!! I was worried that something would go wrong, and typically I've heard from brides the thing that went wrong for them was that the cake was either late, or never showed up. Farmington Bakery was so great though, it was there early and it was delicious!!

The people at Farmington Bakery were so easy to work with and their cake was easily the best we tasted, even better than the "high end" bakers in the Twin Cities area. To make it even better, it was half the price.

We absolutely LOVED our wedding cake. We brought in a picture and discussed with the baker what we had in mind. She was able to customize it to match our theme and flowers perfectly. We were able to get the wedding cake and sheet cakes for all of the guests in 3 different flavors, all for a FRACTION of the cost of any other bakery in the Twin Cities.

We received many comments on the cake and how beautiful and delicious it was.

Our florist at Burnsville Floral recommended this bakery and we were so thankful.

Not only that, but the cake was delivered ON TIME all the way from Farmington to Maple Grove to Rush Creek for the wedding and the delivery cost was all included in the minimal fee noted above.

We would recommend Farmington Bakery to all of our friends!!!

We got to design our cake exactly how we wanted...choose from many flavors, and work one on one with the baker. I loved the cake, it was beautiful...just how I pictured! It was very good and very inexpensive comparatively!

Our cake was a huge hit and everyone loved it.

We had a 3 layered tiered cake. For the decorations, we simply had turquoise, purple and crystal ribbons wrapped around it. It turned out very pretty, even better than the picture we provided as an example.

The only thing that wasn't completely correct was the cake flavor. All their flavors are delicious. We went in nearly a year before our wedding and narrowed the flavors down to 5 combinations. When we finalized the order we went with marble with almond filling, and almond with raspberry filling. However, when we received our cake the bottom tier was chocolate, which was one of our original 5 possibilities, but wasn't a flavor selected to be a finalist.

It wasn't too big of a deal having an extra flavor, so we never called and let them know. (Just wanted to enjoy the day then honeymoon). I'm sure if I did call them, they would have gone out of their way to make it right. They are very accommodating.

They didn't charge extra just because we were a marriage, like very other place within 20 miles!
The cake was delicious, and everyone loved it, and the variety (3 different flavors!!!)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Cakery by Farmington Bakery. I cannot say enough good things about The Cakery. They were super nice and really got my vision of what I wanted for my cake and totally delivered. I showed them pictures from Pinterest so they could see what I wanted and I got it. Plus, the cake taste is to die for. They were super delicious and moist. Wow, the cake was really good. The only negative thing I was say about them is that we ordered a groom's cake to eat after the rehearsal dinner. We were to pick it up before the rehearsal and, with all the hustle and bustle of the day, forgot to pick it up. It would have been really nice if they would have called us some time around our pickup time to ask if we were going to pick up the cake. Also, we never heard from them before the wedding. It also would have been nice to maybe review our order and verify what we ordered and what they were going to make. Overall, I would definitely recommend them and probably even use them again. This place is FANTASTIC! They lost a message once & didn't get back to me for a week, but otherwise were very prompt. THE BEST CAKE I have EVER tasted!!! Don't be too scared by my $$$'s, I chose very expensive options (like shaved ambrosia choc on the outside instead of frosting). The cake at the tasting was ok, but nothing special, however the actual cake was the better than I ever could have imagined. I will go back there anytime I need a cake for a special event & it's a hike for me!

The cake was delicious! It was exactly what I asked for. Our only problem was that our trays were due back within a week and they were closed Sunday and Monday and then we left on our honeymoon! Kind of tricky with those hours. But the cake was everything I dreamed it would be.

Excellent cake! Very willing to work with us to realize our ideas. Everyone raved about the cake.
Unfortunately, our venue only served 1 of the 3 flavors we chose so, our guests didn't get to sample every flavor as we had hoped.
But, we had many compliments on the cake!
We froze our top layer and can't wait to eat it on our 1 year anniversary!

Farmington bakery has the best tasting cake and frosting for the value. The cost was affordable and the cake tasted wonderful. We were able to offer several options for flavors as well. The only thing I didn't like was that they are super busy normally and they weren't very organized for our meetings. Also, I brought in a picture of the design and described in great detail what I wanted and didn't want and they did what I didn't want on for the design. The person we met with wasn't organized enough for me.

The Farmington Bakery made me a very nice cake. But I was very unhappy with it the day of my wedding. My cake was very simple, three tiers, white buttercream frosting and black ribbon around the bottom of each layer. I also brought in buckles for the ribbon and asked for them to put one on each tier. Well, they put them on, but instead of running the ribbon through the buckles they just placed the buckles onto the cake. It looked so very tacky. I emailed them the next day telling them how unhappy I was and asked them if they knew that what they did was wrong, they said they have done many cakes with the buckles but mine were not the right size for the ribbon I gave them. When I got the top tier home I took off the ribbon and ran it through the buckle and put it back on the cake and it fit perfect. But either way, they still should have given me a call if they thought I gave them the wrong size. For such a simple cake, even the smallest of details makes a HUGE difference. I just wish they would have thought about that!

I was called at 12:30 on my wedding day to see when I was PICKING UP the cake! At our intial appt we payed for delivery and planned for delivery, then again when I payed the balance 2 weeks before we discussed a delivery time.... Not okay to do this to anyone- wedding or not! If I did not have a phenominal personal attendent we would not have had a cake that was paid in full for! Overall- cake was really good, but almost had a heart attack, so not sure if it's worth it!
