Outstanding wedding experience!

We ordered the gluten free White Alaska cake for our gluten-free wedding guests, and they thought it was incredible! We’re so glad Sweet Dreams was able to help us make sure that our GF family and friends were able to enjoy such a sweet treat at our wedding!

Highly recommend

They did a beautiful job for my wedding cake! We got a simple cake to cut into and then bite size cakes for the guests. Everything tasted wonderful and look beautiful!

I would recommend Sweet Dreams

We had Sweet Dreams design our wedding cake. We ended up having four different flavors for our wedding cake. It was nice to have a variety for our guests to choose from. We should some Inspiration photos that would wanted and they executed it perfectly. We were able to get a three tier cake and a sheet cake for our guests. Multiple guests had more than one piece to try the flavors which was fun! We provided real flowers and a cake topper that they decorated with on site before the reception. The cake turned out beautiful and tasted amazing!

Beautiful Cake and Amazing flavor

We worked with Beth at Sweet Dreams to create a beautiful cake and one that tasted amazing. The wedding cake was something I was super excited about with the wedding planning process and Sweet Dreams did not disappoint! I was excited about having a black wedding cake and Beth was excited we wanted to do that! She was great to work with, quick to respond, and extremely helpful. She suggested a chocolate cake with cookie dough center and WE LOVED IT. We also chose red velvet, lemon (best lemon cake I have ever had) and a caramel flavor. We received many compliments on how great our cake tasted and we definitely agree! The cake arrived right on schedule too :)

Understands

Very knowledgeable on what size cake you need on the amount of guests. If you bring in your cake topper it helps with bringing your design out. Bite size desserts are great for those who don't want a lot of cake.

Delicious and beautiful cake at a great price

We hired Sweet Dreams Bakery to do our cake for us. They brought us in and discussed all of the possible options for the amount of guests we had, and they worked closely with us to find something we liked for our theme. All of the flavors they have are great, and their cake decorators were able to create a cake with our cherry blossom theme exactly how we envisioned it. They delivered it and set it up for us, so we never had to stress about anything. All of the guests commented about how much they loved the flavor of the cake, too. We highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding cake to stop by their offices and see what they have to offer.

Their cake not only gorgeous but also taste amazing. My cake was so beautiful. I went to their Warren location. The cake consultant is super nice and helped us to figure out what we wanted. The cake turned out beautiful. The flower decoration on the cake was just as I wanted.

OMG We ordered enough cake for 300 people, we only had 250 guests, We planned on having extra. The cake was unbelievable, people kept talking about how it was a one of a kind, they said they have never seen anything like it. Then we cut the cake and it tasted better than it looked. I could tell they loved it. I saw Grandma in the kitchen of the hall getting a carry out box for the cake and then it was all over. Guests where grabbing 2nds and 3rds for take home. The cake didn't stand a chance. ( It tasted so awesome that people couldn't stop!) The top of the cake didn't survive the night Our wedding party ate it at the hotel room that night. OMG GO TO SWEET DREAMS FOR A FREE TASTING! You will be hooked!!!!!!

I worked with the West Bloomfield site to help design my wedding cake. The staff was incredible, extremely friendly and easy to work with. We decided to get a cake last minute and they were able to pull through with flying colors. The cake was EXACTLY how I pictured it. It tasted fresh and arrived on time. It was absolutely perfect. My mom got mini desserts for the bridal party on the day-of to eat when we were getting ready. They were phenomenal! The owner even called me personally after the wedding to see how the cake was. They offered us a free 6 inch cake for our one year anniversary next year! We are already looking forward to eating it!

Our cake was absolutely gorgeous and looked exactly like the photos I provided during our tasting and consultation. We had red velvet, lemon, white and chocolate and guests raved about how delicious all the flavors were. My personal favorite was the lemon. We had our initial cake tasting with Narin and ended up booking with Sweet Dreams based off our experience with her. She was very personable and provided excellent customer service. I had somewhat of a special order and she assured me they would be able to do it. I'm really glad we booked with Sweet Dreams and highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

Our cake was so gorgeous! All of our guests complimented us on our cake and said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. The red velvet had a huge hit! Everything was perfect and I want to thank you for playing a huge role in that!

The cake was gorgeous and it was absolutely delicious! I brought in some pictures to share what kind of design I wanted, and they executed it perfectly! And our guests couldn't stop talking about how tasty the chocolate raspberry and lemon cakes were.

At the time of my wedding, they had a special going on - 3 tiered cake for $350. We got it in all white, plain. Then my sister graciously fancied it up by adding flowers to it. It looked elegant, chic and beautiful. The cake was gone before I could even have a taste of it. That's how good it was.

Sweets Dreams Bakery were very responsive and gave us the answers to all our questions. We ordered a sweetheart cake, cupcakes and half a sheet cake- EVERYTHING was ate! Super delicious and very reasonably priced. Our guests LOVED our cakes/cupcakes. We are so pleased with everything!

Our experience with Sweet Dreams ended up being great! The only thing was we actually weren't planning on using them. We found out the day we met with Beth, one of the girls who does the wedding cake consultations, that they charge a $35 non-refundable fee for a consultation. It worked out though- we loved their buttercream and fondat! They weren't too sweet and we loved that they made their own in-house cakes and frostings. And they were very reasonable! We thought we'd pay wayyyy more for a wedding cake. Thank you Sweet Dreams! Our cake was a hit!

Sweet Dreams did an awesome job on our wedding cake! We chose two layers of the lemon cake and one layer and a 1/4 sheet cake of the strawberry. Their cake is delicious and sweet without being overly sweet. They also use a good amount of the buttercream frosting so that it's not all fondant. The design of the cake was lovely and just what we wanted. The price was comparable to the other shops we'd looked at, and they were more than willing to price out different options for us so that we could fit our budget.

Words cannot describe how absolutely amazed I was at how great our cake looked (and tasted). They went above and beyond to make our wedding cake everything we could have ever dreamed off. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with this bakery. They are fun, easy to get along with, and were so helpful in figuring out what we wanted our cake to be. And they don't pressure you into anything, they wanted to make sure that we got a cake that we loved for a price we could afford. I do not have one complaint about sweet dreams bakery and I will definitely continue to use them for all of my bakery/cake needs.

Narin was very helpful in guiding us to pick out our wedding cake. She was able to help us choose out a style and told us that the cake could be made with our wedding colors mint green and coral. We chose a chocolate/vanilla swirl and the raspberry cakes. They both tasted so good we could not decide between the two, so we chose both and are keeping the top layer for our 1 year anniversary. When we walked into our reception hall we were so pleased with how beautiful our wedding cake looked in our wedding colors and with our cake topper.

This place is great! I needed a novelty cake from them and they fullfilled my wishes. I sent them a photo and I received a price quote shortly after. They accommodated all my needs and the cake turned out just like the picture! Actually even better! The Venetian Delight is my favorite. The wedding cakes they have on display are absolutely beautiful. It's such an eye catcher when you walk into the place. I will continue to suggest Sweet Dreams to friends and family. Yum!

Sweet Dreams delivered a beautiful cake to our wedding reception! We met with them a few times before our wedding to officially design our wedding cake. They were very helpful and accommodating with all of our ideas. Unfortunately our cake topper had tipped over before the reception started but that was due to our topper not having a very large cake. It didn't ruin anything about it and our lemon cake tasted absolutely amazing!

Great Gluten Free Wedding Cake! Not only was it delicious, it was beautiful too! It was nice that Sweet Dreams did not take advantage of providing a gluten free cake by over charging as many place do. Our guests were shocked that the cake was gluten free an we were so impressed at the design of the cake.

My mother and I were extremely satisfied with Sweet Dreams and not only the quality of their cakes and desserts, but also their willingness to with their customers with what exactly we wanted. We had desserts and cake for 375 people, and Sweet Dreams helped us to find the perfect amount of desserts without spending an arm and a leg.

Very easy to work with (I ordered with Lynda at the Orchard Lake Rd location and she was a dream to work with). Cake was delivered exactly as ordered and I got so many compliments on it. Everyone wanted to know who made it and all of my guests commented as to how good it was.We ordered the chocolate cake with raspberry mousse. They did a great job!

Sweet dreams made sure my cake was exactly what I wanted right down to the fine details. They did such an amazing job on my cake it was seriously everything that I wanted and more. They are also extremely flexible with working with your budget. The cake tasting was also really fun as well and the cake and filling is amazing so delicious. Well worth the money. They have a huge building with a bunch of fake cakes that you can rent out too or even get ideas from them.

The event staff at our wedding venue commented that it was the best looking cake they had seen in 2013. Not only was it beautiful, but delicious as well! My husband wasn't crazy about the 'samples' they provided when we were sampling cake flavors (too much ganache, not enough cake, kinda dry) - however, our actual cake tasted 1000 times better. We had been to a friend's wedding who had used Sweet Dreams and we loved their cake, so we knew going in that the samples were just to get an idea of the flavor. Highly recommended!

Excellent experience with the staff!!! Their cakes are amazing! We had 2 different layer types, chocolate mousse and lemon delight!! Love both!! Our guests kept asking us about where they were located!! I myself have gone in many times to purchase the mini cakes with those flavors to give our families to try!! Loved our wedding cake!! Wish i could post a pic of it!! Narin the women that helped us was so nice and took us step by step of what we needed. She showed us a lot of sample cakes, overall had a smile on my face when we left. And when I saw the cake it was everything I wanted and more. Love this place!! The cake tasted great as while!!!

I loved our fake cake! It was large and beautiful and many guests thought that it was real. I wanted to add my own topper which they allowed me to do and overall great to work with! The cake that we cut and ate was also excellent! Would recommend!

Had the most beautiful fake cake!! My experience with sweet dreams was perfect. We had great service and they are very professional. Our cake tasted very moist and was delicious! They did all the work bringing the cakes and picked them up after the reception as well. We were extremely happy!

I must say that I went to the warren location and was very dissapointed with the service. Howerver, when I went to the Farmington location the service was great. They were helpful and I really enjoyed the cake tasting. Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. I would recommend them to other brides.

Sweet Dreams is by far the best cake I have ever tasted. They are not overly priced and they were willing to create a cake that I designed for our wedding. After having Sweet Dreams cake, you won't ever want to eat another kind!

The wedding cake and groom's cakes were a huge hit. The cakes were delicious and the cream filling was excellent. I still have people commenting to me about how great my cake was. Sweet Dreams' wedding cakes are incredibly lovely. They will work with your florist to decorate with fresh flowers, if you desire.

I get all my cakes from this bakery now.

Their website was wonderful and offered several hundred pictures of different cakes to choose from. In going to their Sterling Heights location, I took my family and we sampled cakes for a few hours while we chose the right one. It was such a quaint shop and their prices were very reasonable. They were easy to work with and had the best tasting cake we had ever had- thanks again for such a wonderful experience!

I placed my wedding cake order with the Sweet Dreams Bakery West Bloomfield store. After my initial call, I was a little worried, because the woman I spoke to on the phone was a little rude and spoke in a tone that made me feel like she was in a rush and I was bothering her. I went to the initial consultation/taste test and my experience was wonderful. The face to face customer services far exceeds the phone customer service.

My Husband and I chose the White Alaska wedding cake, which was white cake with white chocolate mouse and fresh strawberries. After we chose the flavor, we chose the design and the woman we worked with was very helpful with all of our questions. For just over $600 I got a four tiered gorgeous wedding cake large enough to feed 200 people. Also, instead of freezing the top tier to eat on your One Year Anniversary, Sweet Dreams will make you a fresh small cake on your anniversary free of charge!

All of our guests are still talking about how that cake was the best wedding cake they have ever had!

I found out about this bakery through one of the largest wedding expo's,which says enough. I remember walking in the expo to see a line wrapped down the hallway of women waiting for samples of cake. I instantly realized that is who is going to do the cake. After trying the cake I loved how moist and flavorful it was not to mention the constant compliments spewing from the crowd of women. The consultation was great they delivered everything that I wanted and were very flexible. I had a hard time locating THE brooch for my cake and didn't get it to them until a day before the wedding. That is just how wonderful they are. I felt so bad and they assured me that everything is perfect and boy it was. Everyone loved the cake and thought it was too beautiful to slice into. I would definitely recommend them.

The cake turned out perfect. I was actually able to enjoy a slice thanks to our wedding planner and banquet hall staff. This bakery has been a go-to for my family because their cakes are always on par!

The cake was beautiful and I want to give 5 stars just for that. However, communicating with them was a little hard. I still am very glad I used them. Just make sure you are very clear with what you want and you may have to tell them a few times.

Delicious! The cake I picked may have been a little difficult and didn't turn out how I pictured it. But, it was still nice and definAtely delicious! I rented a tray but they didn't provide me with it and gave me a linen wrapped around it that I felt clashed. I didn't know until I was cutting my cake but o well I was married lol I will have to call and complain because I paid 35$ for it too. But they were helpful and accommodating in every other way and did a good job and no mess. So it was fine.

The cakes here always taste great. They had a good deal going on for their wedding cakes too. Too bad we couldn't change much at all on it. I wanted them to add coloring to the fondant, but I guess since the cake was at a special pricing, they "couldn't." It's okay though, everyone liked the cake.

Great Experience. There were some "hidden charges" that I was not aware of initially (consulting fee) which was added on after the tasting and with the order, but that could have been my fault as I did not know to ask about this. There was some communication mix ups- where we thought we had picked out the flavors for the cake after the tasting and then we were called 2 wks before the wedding (6 mos after the tasting) asking us what flavors we were wanting, which did cause a small panic as we couldn't remember what we had chosen after tasting so many, but we were able to figure it out with their notes. Baker was very proactive when they thought our topper wouldn't fit, they came up with other suggestions and resolutions to keep the integrity of our cake. They called if they had any questions and didn't take it upon themselves to make decisions that might not have been what we wanted. Delicious!!! Best thing was that they give you a new cake for your 1 year anniversary!!! No freezing and eating stale cake!!!! You won't be disappointed.

My cake was beautiful and delicious! My only complaint was that the slice I got was too small and the cake was too beautiful that I didn't want to eat it! If you go to the store they let you try them all in a very professional manner, with these tiny cakes. So many were delicious it was hard to choose. I would advise to go tasting there, it is fun!

Overall, it was a good experience. The cake looked gorgeous and I imagine it tasted good too (didn't get a chance to sit down and eat cake at my reception!). The initial meeting for the cake seemed a bit harried and the workers were quite opinionated. We liked the opportunity to test all the different flavors, though! On the day-of, my only qualm is that there were sugar-flowers on the top layer of the cake when I specified I wanted JUST the cake topper. I don't think anyone noticed but me, though, and it wasn't a big enough problem to ruin my night.

Very good bakery! Our 'simple' wedding cake was delicious and turned out exactly how we wanted it. They allowed us to sample their cake choices and they even have moose filling at no additional charge. The price was excellent and seemed to be the best deal around for fabulous tasting cake!

We taste-tested many cakes, and this one was by far our favorite - our guests raved about it too! We picked up a coupon at the Palace of Auburn Hills Bridal Show - and received our cake at 50% off, which was a great deal for a beautiful cake. They were also flexible with us, knocking the price down a bit when we requested to have some of the sugar flowers left off our design.

Cake arrived on time, in great condition, very moist - absolutely delicious. Everyone at the store was very courteous as well.

The only disappointment was the look of the actual cake we received - it was beautiful, but really looked very little like the picture - It had the ribbons, pearls, fondant, and drapery of the picture - but the design on the cake looked like they overbooked their weddings and only had about 10 minutes to do (it looked 'rushed') - we were supposed to have tiny hearts and swirls all over the cake, but it shows up with large, sloppy swirls.

So - if you're looking for a great cake for taste - this is the place to go, but if you are more concerned with design, perhaps choose elsewhere. Had I known, I probably would have told them to just skip the design and give me a plain fondant cake. They covered it in a sparkly fondant, and the ribbon and pearls...with the real flowers we added, it would have been gorgeous anyways.

They have great specials for brides on a budget. It wasn't my dream cake, but it looked great and tasted AMAZING!!! I got so many compliments on the cake. Also, on your first anniversary you get a recreation of the top of your cake instead of having to save the one from the wedding...another $$ saver.

They are very reasonably priced for fondant wedding cakes with mousse if you can order your cake as a special. Every month they have one design they put on special for half off per slice. I did this and just changed some minor details like the color and minus a detail or two and it was amazing! The look was what I wanted, the cake was very good, the white chocolate mousee though does not taste the way it did when I tried their sample. However, overall, it worked out very well for me, I had my cake done my way!

The coordinator was great to work with and I had every bit of confidence my custom cake would come out amazing after all of the meetings we had and photos I provided, but it didn't quite turn out that way. It seemed like the decorating was rushed or the detail wasn't communicated to the baker/decorator and it didn't turn out the way we discussed. I'm not sure if priority was given to a larger cake since I had a summer wedding, but it was upseting to see since I had my hopes so high. Although the cake tasted good and my guests enjoyed it, the decorating was not on par with what I've seen them do before and I'm still not sure if the flavor layering was correct--I'll find out in a year when we cut the top tier! I was disappointed and wouldn't recommed for a wedding if you have specific, custom ideas in mind. I didn't feel like I got what I paid for.

At first I was very impressed with Sweet Dreams Bakery. I thought their showroom and bakery was beautiful and they had a lot of options for real cakes and fake cakes. I was extremely disappointed at the wedding though by my cake. We had ordered a fake wedding cake where they have a small section cut out at the bottom that they put real cake in so that when we cut it, it looks real. I told them I was hesitant on the fake cake option because I didn't want it to be obvious to the guests. I was assured that it would be as seemless as possible. When we got to the reception though we saw the opposite. They had drawn a box around the area we were supposed to cut with icing. It was EXTREMELY obvious that it was fake. Not only that, but when we cut into the cake, the real cake section fell out of the cake mold. I was very disappointed.

I orderd a customised wedding cake a little differnt that the stock cake I choose from, I also provided them with my own cake topper because it was a military wedding, Luckily my parents got to the reception site early because the pink color that was soposed to be on my wedding cake wasn't and they didn't have my cake topper, my parents had to call them to come back over and fix it, and when I finally got to see the pink color still wasn't right, it was light pink instead of dark pink.

I absolutely LOVE that they gave us a free small version of our wedding cake on our one year anniversary so that we didnt have to freeze our cake and eat it a year later eww! And because they worked directly with our hall, they did not charge delivery, cutting, or serving! They had a GREAT book to look through for ideas, but dont expect very personal service.

So very disappointed. They were supposed to make my wedding cake round and it was square. They also put the square cake on my round cake stand that was waiting for them at the hall and it was hanging over the sides of the stand. It looked ridiculous! I was so embarrassed. The fondant ribbon was supposed to be the same color as the swatch I provided. They made it look just like the picture I provided. I just wanted it to be similar. They didn't follow any instructions on the contract. Is it that difficult to follow instructions!? The person I ordered my cake from was never there and they were very disorganized. When I left my final payment, I made sure they had everything all together. I have no idea what happened.

Disappointing - the cake did not look like the picture of it at all - to the point that I thought we have gotten a wrong cake! Also, the cake stand which we ordered and paid for was not delivered with the cake! And, it all arrived late so I never even had a chance to speak to the delivery person and see where the problem occurred! Horrible! They did refund us for the cake stand after my husband called and complained but again they tried denying it which made me dislike them even more! I would not recommend such poor service for one of the important details of your wedding day!
