Amazing Cake, great customer service

They took my vision and made it better than I envisioned and it also tasted amazing. She recreated the lace on my dress and put it in edible form on my cake and it was beautiful! She drove it an hour away and set it up, and it was flawless. Highly recommended

The sweetest ending 🧡🖤

Sweet Confections gave us the most delicious and amazing cake that 2 weeks later I’m still getting compliments on. Darmayne was a joy to work with and helped to bring our vision to life. Highly recommend this sweet bakery!

The most beautiful cake

The experience from beginning to end was amazing. This bakery went above & beyond to make sure my cake looked exactly how I wanted it taste absolutely good. I will continue to support this business as they are so professional & very reasonably priced. Thank you so much for everything.

Absolutely Amazing

Darmayne and her team at Sweet Confections are absolutely amazing. We had her make a small wooden looking cake for our wedding as well as a dessert table filled of a variety of mini desserts for our wedding.

To say she exceeded our expectations is putting it lightly. This team blew our expectations out of the water. The mini desserts were absolutely gorgeous, I believe there were over 600 of them. And our cake looked so much like wood. I cannot even believe it.

The taste was so good on everything. All of our guests were raving asking where we found someone able to do what she did.

Highly highly highly recommend.

Darmayne at Sweet Confections created a beautiful wedding cake for us and it seriously was the best cake that I have ever had, so moist and delicious! She was a pleasure to work with and we couldn't have been happier :)

Completely speechless

Sweet Confections was down right amazing. There’s nothing bad I could say about our experience. They were so kind and personable and attentive and really made our visions come to life. The cake was INSANELY gorgeous and the guests were in complete amazement. The cake stood out amongst everything else. It was a literal masterpiece and DELICIOUS. There was not a single person who didn’t enjoy every last bite of that cake. I hope my temptations don’t get the best of me before our 1 year anniversary, but it looks to good to sit in my freezer the next 12 months.

The Best Cake

I have been getting so many compliments on how amazing our wedding cake was and I couldn’t agree more. Working with Darmaine was so easy and the cake was absolutely beautiful. I’m not the type of person who like frosting but the buttercream was out of this world. This was the best wedding cake I have ever had.

The Best Wedding Cake Ever

Sweet Confections went above and beyond with our wedding cake. We had a great experience working with them from the initial cake tasting to our wedding day. They were flexible and understanding when we had to postpone our wedding date. They were also very accommodating when we wanted to add a mountain texture to two of our cake layers. We were blown away by how well the cake design was executed. The cake was so delicious that all of our guests kept on raving about it throughout the night. We went with chocolate cake w/ cookies and cream buttercream and vanilla w/ strawberry champagne buttercream which were equally as delicious. From when the cake arrived to when it was served, it remained moist and soft. I definitely recommend Sweet Confections if you want a beautiful cake with a variety of flavor options!

Tasty & amazing

I used Sweet Confections cakes for my traditional Nigerian wedding and church wedding on 8/20/21 and 8/21/21. From going into their store to make inquiries, to the cake tasting, to making payments, and delivery, I would 100% recommend using this business, especially for specialty cakes! For my traditional wedding, I wanted a very specific design with beads and a Bible, and they got every detail perfect, I attached a picture. As I told Darmayne she was the easiest wedding vendor I had. My cakes were there on time, both days, looking perfect! THE CAKES TASTED SO GOOD TOO! Thank you so much for giving me the cake of my dreams, every detail was perfect. I look forward to working with you in the future!

Delicious cake and lovely owner!

Our cake was awesome - beautiful and delicious.. and gluten free! Darmayne's longterm experience baking and in the industry was apparent from the start. She took time to sit with us and discuss what we wanted, and delivered impecably. And I found out she was on a TV baking competition! So cool. She personally made the gluten free cake (my husband's sister is medically allergic) and goes through immense precautions in the process. I highly recommend!

Absolutely Amazing

My Daughters wedding was a very quick event. I had called several area bakeries , wanting to give her the wedding cake of her dreams. I was laughed at , and even hung up on by several bakeries when I gave them the short timeframe I had to work with. I was about in tears when I called Sweet Confections , not only were they able to make my Daughters dream wedding cake, they were truly kind, courteous and professional. You can tell that they really respect and value there customers.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

Darmayne and her staff are wonderful! They made my wedding cake back in July of this year. We had a tropical, Puerto Rican themed wedding and the flavors and colors of the cake were amazing! Darmayne really listened to our ideas and was great to communicate with. I highly recommend her for any occasion!

Phenomenal

The whole process was, dare I say... easy! The whole team was very accommodating, and they love doing custom decorating. We chose a cake that they have on display and they were more than happy to make the little changes we asked for. They even made a small sculpture of our cat to put in the cake. Everything was perfect and the cake tasted amazing. We had so many compliments!

5 Star Service - 5 Star Taste!

We previously ordered a birthday cake from Sweet Confections: a cake made to look like a Dungeons & Dragons book. It was not only incredible and realistic, it also tasted amazing. We knew we wanted them to do our wedding and groom's cake as well. They hand-painted roses on our wedding cake and made four custom flavored cupcakes that everyone at our wedding enjoyed. The staff was professional and accommodating.

Absolutely perfect. Quality, appearence, and taste were all amazing.

We went to sweet confections for our wedding cake and were blown away at how good the taste tests were, which allowed us to try a number of different cake and icing combos. After settling our decision we hired them on the spot and gave some pictures and descriptions with what kind of cake we wanted. The results were perfect, and everyone we were in contact with was extemely helpful. The entire process was very easy, which always welcome when planning for something as big in scope as a wedding. I cant reccomend them more.

Delicious!

We wanted a fairly simple cake that tasted good, and Sweet Confections delivered! At the first meeting, they gave me a quote and answered all my questions without any pressure. They did layers of both chocolate and white cake for us with different filling options. They also delivered the cake to our venue for us, which was a huge stress relief! Our leftover cake didn’t go to waste because we enjoyed it for the next few days! We didn’t save the top layer, but may have to start a new tradition of getting another small cake from them in a year!

Our wedding cake was beautiful and elegant! We had several different flavors and they must have tasted so good that we didn’t even get to try a slice and there were none left over. I am the owner of Harmony Hall Estate and Karen’s Catering, LLC., over the past 31 years I have had the honor of helping thousands of couples make their wedding day dreams come true. Selecting the vendors for our wedding day was no easy task! I have worked with some of the best wedding vendors in Central PA and a few that are not so good. So when it came time for John and I to plan our own wedding we had a long list of vendors to consider. You could say I am extremely picky and quite opinionated; I have seen a lot of groom’s cakes but I have never seen an animal. John is an avid hunter and I really wanted to surprise him with a 3D deer cake. So this cake was extremely important to me. I knew I could trust Sweet Confections with the task. I sent a few photos and let the rest up to Darmayne and her team. When I saw the deer for the first time I was totally blown away. I have never seen a cake look so realistic. John was in awe. Darmayne and her staff were a joy to work with throughout the whole process. My cake was absolutely perfect! Because we had an Indian wedding, I wanted some Indian elements incorporated into the design and the final product was gorgeous. All of my guests were wowed. And taste was not lacking either. We love the owners of Sweet Confections. I am a picky bride and they worked hard to get me exactly what I wanted. To the flavors, the even giving us a mousse that I didn't think I wanted (yes, the kids cake cookies and cream), it was THE perfect cake. I wanted a simple design with shimmer and they gave it to me. They will work hard to give you exactly what you want. And they are fun to work with!!!!

We are so happy with our decision to use Sweet Confections for our May wedding! They created an absolutely beautiful naked cake for our reception that was gluten free due to dietary restrictions in my family. No one could tell the difference! I cannot say enough nice things about Sweet Confections Cakes! Not only do they make the most beautiful cakes, they are also extremely professional and passionate about their work. When they heard that my husband and I did not get a single piece of our beautiful wedding cake, they made us an anniversary cake that was a miniature version of our wedding cake! They also made the cake for my bridal shower and they made the groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner, both of which were beautiful and big hits with our guests! I highly recommend Sweet Confections. Sweet Confections made our wedding cake even more beautiful than I imagined. I knew at the tasting that it was going to be delicious, but at that time I didn't have a clear vision of what I wanted. They worked with me to tease out a great design that worked within our budget and then executed it perfectly! They even hand-pipped lace details from my dress onto the cake! Our guests were raving about how tasty it was. I'm looking forward to our one year anniversary when my husband and I will get to enjoy the top layer.

I've had the pleasure of working with Darmayne and her team over the years as a catering sales manager and wedding coordinator so it was a no-brainer when it came time to pick for Our Day! They were amazing to work with as always, and the day of results with our multitude of cupcakes and personal cake were spot-on. Sweet Confections is at the top of my list for recommendations! Sweet Confections Cakes greatly exceeded our expectations! We could not have asked for a better wedding cake vendor. They were kind, professional, organized, and very responsive. The cake tasting was wonderful - they even let my parents come along! Darmaine is unbelievably talented. She can create anything your heart desires. Then, there is the taste. I have been in and attended several weddings. This was the best cake I've ever had. We received so many compliments from our guests and are still getting calls/texts about how delicious it was....which is making it hard to wait a year to eat our 1 year anniversary layer :) A big thank you to Sweet Confections Cakes for a perfect job on our wedding day. I'm so thankful we found Sweet Confections. I usually am not a cake eater but their cakes definitely changed my mind. I was most excited about our cake at the wedding. They are a super amazing and sweet couple to work with. The cake was a huge hit with our guests. They worked with us to help eliminate waste and we barely had any left over by the end of the night.

They were great! My family has since used them for other occasions because their cakes are incredible and Darmayne and her husband are fantastic. There was a certain flavor combination that I wanted to try during my tasting and even though they didn't have it out, they made it very quickly just to accommodate me. My husband and I went to a tasting that had 5 different cake vendors. We walked around and had visited 3 of them and felt like they didn't have time for us. When we got to the Sweet Cofections Cakes table, we were welcomed right away and felt like they wanted to help us. They were very warm and personable. We knew right then they were the ones we wanted to make our cake. We tasted their samples and that was also another selling point, their cake was delicious!

Sweet Confections was amazing while designing our cake. They accommodated every request, hanging cake, each tier a different flavor and design. The cake was beyond beautiful and worth every calorie. Our guests could not get over how pretty it was, or that is was HANGING from the ceiling. Everyone was taking pictures of it. Thanks so MUCH. We will definitely be back for more cake!

Not only did Sweet Confections bake us a PHENOMENAL cake, they went above and beyond to help us pick the theme to our wedding! Darmayne was incredible. She was honest, professional and so creative. Our cake was the beginning of our movie theme and without her, I'm sure if we would have done it. She worked with us closely and was always a pleasure to speak with in the time leading up to the wedding. The cake was absolutely delicious and is already gone! Plus the 2 dozen cupcakes! Sweet Confections has the best cake! While they cost a little more than other bakeries, it is worth every penny. One bite of the pink champagne had me and my husband hooked! And the design of our cake was exactly what we had in mind! It was great to be able to sit down with Darmaine and have her design a cake especially for us by combining our ideas with her expertise. Darmayne is always responsive, always professional a truly talented artist.

We've ordered birthday cakes for her the past 2 years for my daughter's birthday and consider it a "splurge" that is worth the cost for us. Last year was Elmo, this year Frozen. Both times, multiple people gave compliments on both the quality of presentation and the taste. I cut up the leftover cake and froze it in individual serving sizes so we can continue to enjoy it for the next month.

A good friend had a 3D baby shower cake created from a photograph and it was spot on. Just browse through her online galleries and you will see the breadth of her work. The Sweet Confections Facebook page seems to have the most recent photos and is continually updated. In 2 weeks we are attending a friend's son's 3rd birthday party who has ordered a Monsters Inc cake here.

If you are willing to spend a little extra on a cake, you will not be disappointed with Sweet Confections.

From the moment we walked into our consultation, our experience was great. Our cakes turned out exactly as we had pictured them and tasted amazing. I was also very taken back by their honesty. Apparently, at the consultation, they provided me with the wrong price. I got an email on my wedding day that they were going to be refunding my card. I thought this was extremely nice of them, because I was already okay with the price and had no idea that I had been over charged.

We absolutely loved our cake!! The team at Sweet Confections went out of their way to help us when we hadn't gotten around to planning our cake until about 5-6 months out. Darmayne is extremely talented and did a fantastic job on our wedding cake! She goes through great measures to make sure your cake is just the way you want it. She offers free cake tasting and takes time to meet with you to discuss your ideas of what you want your wedding cake to look and taste like. We had an original design and she exceeded our expectations in designing it. All of our guests commented on our design and most of the dessert plates were completely empty. We enjoyed our cake so much, we've already been back to order another one for a different occasion!

Sweet Confections created my exquisite wedding cake, as well as a 3-D groom's cake of my boxer dog for the rehearsal dinner. Darmayne was a pleasure to work with from day 1 when I met her at her shop. She was patient with me as I went back and forth trying to decide on cake flavor and decorative design. She was open and responsive to all of my decorative ideas and listened to the details of my cake vision carefully, which she replicated perfectly for me on my wedding day.

My wedding cake was everything I dreamed it would be and more! In addition to being visually appealing, the wedding cake tasted amazing! I chose the pink champagne and white almond cake...both beyond delicious (I also chose red velvet for the groom's cake, which was very delicious, as well)! I would highly recommend Sweet Confections to any bride, as you will experience high quality service, reasonable pricing and a deliciously tasting wedding cake!

I came across Sweet Confections at a wedding expo. Their cake was simply the best tasting that we had found. I grew up in a family where cakes are made from scratch so I have a very high standard of what cake should be like. We went with the pink champagne cake with buttercream frosting. The cake was AMAZING. It looked beautiful and exactly as we had requested, was delivered on time and tasted even better. I received more compliments on the cake than any other food at my wedding.
Additionally, Darmayne was so wonderful to work with. She was professional and experienced and always kept in contact or returned our calls immediately. The cake was the one thing I did not have to repeatedly get in contact or reach out to her as she was always there to reach out first. It was seamless and delicious. I would recommend this any of my friends for their weddings. We are now expecting our honeymoon baby and I can tell you already that we will be serving Sweet Confections cakes at the baby shower :)
