Wedding cake

I LOVE cake, so we went to multiple tastings and immediately knew when we met Jamie that Sweet Beginnings Bakery was the one! They did not disappoint! My cake was gorgeous and tasted amazing! My new husband is not a cake person and he can’t stop talking about how good our wedding cake was! I would highly recommend Sweet Beginnings, you will not be disappointed!

Delicious and sweet

They helped out with a small and simple cake with three different flavors. They were affordable and had the most delicious cake. I could t have asked for anything more.

Jamie is awesome

I had decided to go with a traditional wedding cake within 2 months of my wedding date and Jamie was able to accommodate me with no problem. We decided to go with a 2 tier cake that was white cake and lemon filling with buttercream frosting. I had shown her a picture off of pinterest and she was able to tell me exactly the dimensions I would need for that cake. I ended up doing half a sheet cake as well and got 2 trays full of delicious Italian cookies. Sweet beginnings is awesome and everything was so delicious!!!

Sweet Beginnings Bakery was fabulous to work with! We found them at a bridal show and fell in love with the beautiful cake designs, only to find that their cake was delicious too! I wanted to surprise my fiance with a traditional wedding cake that peeled out into Batman's Gotham City on the back and it was absolutely perfect and such a hit at the wedding. People are still talking about how cool and tasty it was! We can't wait to dig into the leftovers and are already looking forward to our anniversary cake next year. I would highly recommend them!

Could not be happier with our cake!! So many ways to personalize, and out of the 3 bakeries we had tastings at, Sweet Beginnings not only had our favorite cake and filling options, but also the best value for what we wanted (we had a wedding with less than 100 guests but I still wanted a large wedding cake, so we did a four layer cake with two fake layers and two real layers). From tasting to wedding day it was great to work with Sweet Beginnings, we would highly recommend.

They are awesome! People raved about my cake for weeks and even asked me for any leftover pieces. It was moist and melted in your mouth. One of my favorite things about our wedding day. Beautiful designs as well. Huge selection to choose from. Highly recommend!

The wedding cake, the grooms cake, and the bridal Shower cupcakes were all amazing! They looked amazing and tasted even better! Jamie was delightful to work with and I'm so excited to get a complimentary cake for our first year anniversary! Totally recommend!

I couldn't be more happy with the beautiful, amazing cupcakes i recieved from here for my wedding.I ended up with 6 dozen different flavor combinations (because they were all so good) of gorgeously decorated cupcakes to match my theme. And they were so reasonably priced. One of the best decisions I made. My guests loved them and raved about them. Jamie was super easy to work with and her and her team there are just wonderful!

The owner, Jamie, is incredible to work with! She was so responsive whenever I had questions. Our wedding cake was amazing - look and taste! Everyone was raving about it. People loved it so much there wasn't any leftover to take home with us! You won't be disappointed!

Amazing! Jamie at Sweet Beginnings Is the sweetest (no pun intended). The entire process was so easy and she was so helpful. I went in with an idea of what I wanted and told her what it was. She left for a minute and came back with a picture of exactly what I was trying to describe. We changed a few color schemes and made the perfect wedding cake. She provided us with cupcakes to taste to decide on a flavor as well. I loved this idea because it was just the right amount of cake to taste without wasting a lot of food. Any time I called to talk to her, or she reached out to me with any questions she was very personable. She asked how everything was going, and specifically how I was doing, even right up until 2 days before the wedding. At the wedding she took care of how the cake table looked/was displayed and it was absolutely beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. I highly recommend this bakery

Jamie and her team at Sweet Beginnings were wonderful! She gave great recommendations on the amount of cake we should order and was spot on - we only went home with a few extra slices for my husband and I to enjoy. She was very flexible in accommodating my wishes regarding the decor of the cake. It was everything I've ever imagined my wedding cake would be. Oh and, of course, the cakes were DELICIOUS! Great value & would highly recommend!

Sweet Beginnings made my wedding cake and it was delicious! Everyone raved about it. The owner is super down to earth and pleasant to work with. They also provide a free cake on your anniversary which is a nice touch.

Not only do they have amazing cake, they also have amazing people to work with!!! I had so many compliments at the wedding about how great the cake tasted!! Everyone wanted to know where I got the cake so they could get future cakes from them!! Great job!!!!

We purchased our wedding cake from Sweet Beginnings and it was a huge hit! We went with a funfetti cake with Bavarian cream filling and it was delicious. The cake was beautiful and arrived on time. They let us taste test cupcakes and had a lot of samples to look at to help us get an idea of what we wanted in their store. Everyone was kind and professional, we'd highly recommend Sweet Beginnings!

We got SO many compliments on our cake! They made us 3 different favors for our fall-themed wedding and even created one for us! (Pumpkin spice with cream cheese mousse). The cake was super moist and incredible flavors. It looked exactly as I described to them. They were very easy to work with and came up with different ideas with us to save money at the same time. Totally recommend to anyone!

My wedding cake was beautiful and it tasted amazing. I'm not even a big fan of cake and sweet beginnings cakes are my absolute favorite. I stop in the bakery for cupcakes all the time now because their food is so good.

Darren and Jamie were incredible to work with! We had a tiered cake and also a sheet cake for additional flavors- pistachio with bavarian cream, banana chocolate chip with chocolate mousse and chocolate with salted caramel-OMG our guests are still raving about how delicious it was. They were super flexible and easy to work with and the detailing on the buttercream was just beautiful.

This is a truly wonderful bakery. The owner is very creative and worked beautifully with the bride to create her vision…….plus the cake was delicious and not a crumb was left! I would definately recommend this bakery to ANYONE who wants a special AND delicious creation.

Very fun to work with and gave us creative ideas on how to do a rustic cupcake display. They prepared a small custom wedding cake for us and four different flavor cupcakes for our guests. Everything was delicious. They will also provide a 1 year anniversary cake for us! When we came in they gave is half a dozen cupcakes to try for sampling for free!! Very nice!! We do all family occasions with them!

Jamie is amazing!!! Loved our cake (both design and taste, of course). She was great to work with and did such a wonderful job. She also did the cookies for my shower (which was held in NJ, where my husband and I live) and my guests are still asking me to bring them to NJ when I'm up in Buffalo visiting. We ordered the white almond cake with raspberry filling and butter cream frosting. The cake was AMAZING and we received so compliments on it from our guests during our reception. A few guests even told us they went up for seconds. We loved working with Jamie. At our initial appt she had 6 samples of different cakes/fillings/frostings for us to try. She also met with us a second time to finalize the cake design we wanted and she was very pleasant to work with.

Sweet Beginnings did a fantastic job on our cake! I actually had a different idea for a cake in mind walking into our initial meeting, but I took one look at one of the cakes they had on display and knew that was the one I wanted for our wedding. They even made custom snowmen cake toppers for a very reasonable price, and they turned out extremely well - so cute and fit our theme great. They are really the best value in the area and their cakes taste amazing. Lots of compliments from our guests. Couldn't be happier with our choice!

Working with this bakery is one of the best decisions you can make. They are locally owned by a young family who puts their personal touch on each cake they bake. Not only did our wedding cake look amazing, it tasted even better! Their original designs and flexibility make this cake maker a no brainer for your special day! Jamie was so friendly and easy to work with. We showed her a few pictures of what our ideas were for cake and the final product was beautiful. More importantly, it was delicious! We chose a cookie cake wedding cake (one of their specialties) and it was a hit. They made cake tasting so easy, just call ahead and order as many combinations as we wanted. I would highly recommend Sweet Beginnings for a beautiful and affordable wedding cake!

We asked for something unique and Sweet Beginnings delivered! Our 3 tier red, white & blue cake trimmed in crystals was beautiful and tasty! I only wish the blue fondant had been a few shades darker to more closely match the girls dresses but in the grand scheme of it all, everyone LOVED the cake and that's what mattered the most. Thank You Sweet Beginnings!!!

I could not say enough about Sweet Beginnings Bakery in Kenmore. Jamie and her husband have always done such an amazing job for us, between birthday cakes, shower cakes, wedding cakes - everything has always been AH-mazing. Our cake was beautiful and it was exactly what we wanted. The cake was delish and everyone raved about it! We also ordered cookies - chocolate chip and sugar cookies for our guests. SO good!! I would highly recommend Sweet Beginnings to everyone!

Sweet Beginnings has the best almond ring in the world! So when it came time for our wedding we decided to ask them to make a three tired one as our cake. They were very accommodating, very inexpensive for the high quality ingredients and very professional. The cake was unique and delicious. We were very happy.

They offered so many varieties of cake and gave us so many opportunities to sample the flavors. The wedding cake was beautiful - exactly what we wanted. It was delicious, very moist, and VERY affordable.

Jamie and Darren are FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! Jamie went above and beyond expectation for my cake. She ordered cake pans that she didn't have, spray painted dragees that weren't in stock, did a style for me that she didn't normally recommend, and made tons of changes for me down to the last minute. The cake was phenomenal and everyone loved it. She can and will do anything that you need. I go to Jamie now for everything.

Sweet Beginnings did a wonderful job for my daughters wedding. They were extremely helpful and perfectly accomplished the cake design my daughter wanted. Our wedding cake from Sweet Beginnings was delicious! My husband and I saw a picture of a cake design elsewhere and we only gave Jaime the picture to go from and it turned out wonderful! She even mixed a few colors together to get the exact fall color of our wedding cake we envisioned. The staff was always helpful when we stopped in and delivery was on time the day of the wedding! Sweet Beginnings includes a separate anniversary cake for each couple with their booking so you don't need to worry about saving the top layer and freezing it. You get a fresh one next year! The only complaint from us is that the peanut butter filling we ordered for one of our layers in the cake didn't really taste like peanut butter at all. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was really missing that true peanut butter taste we would have liked.

I was one of the brides who originally had village desserts doing my wedding cake, picked out and paid for. Three weeks before the wedding we recieved a letter they were out of business and I was out not only $200 but left scrambling for a wedding cake. At Sweet beginnings the owner sat down with me immediately, no appointment, gave me exactly what i wanted and and more, also she had samples on hand for tasting, YUM!. It cost almost twice as much (even with a discount for my troubles)but it was worth every penny for the service, flavor and flawless design of my gorgeous 4 tier cake. They were such a life saver! Thank you Sweet beginnings!

The cake was delicious. My only bad thing to say is that the cake design was not exactly as I ordered and I ordered a way bigger cake than i needed so I could get it delivered. I got a 3 tier square cake but the squares weren't supposed to be in line, I wanted them turned but it didn't come like that. But it was still delicious

Our cake was stunning, and the price was incredible. Half of what we were quoted at two other local bakeries!

The cake was great. It looked exactly how we wanted it and tasted good. The price was not impressive, but over all a pleasant experience.

Jamie provided us with a wonderful three tiered heart shaped wedding cake that was beautiful and delicious. The prices were reasonable and they threw in free delivery. I love everything about Sweet Beginnings.

We were very happy with our wedding cake. It was definitely the most delicious wedding cake I've ever had and the design was exactly what we wanted. We also used this vendor for cookies (for our favors) and they got rave reviews- almost everyone ate their cookie before the night was over. I would advise you, however, that the price is a bit high for a bakery in Kenmore, NY. We did not mind due to the fact that the cake we tasted was incredible and we did not want to have a dry, nasty wedding cake that just looked good.
The only negative was that the cake baker told us that she would build a support system for our cake topper (it was heavy) so that it did not sink into the cake. That did not happen, and it did sink. Our reception coordinator had to stick a glass into the top to stop it and cover the marks with baby's breath. It was a bit of an annoyance because we were unable to preserve the top tier, which we payed for. Oh well, it was a very minor detail and the deliciousness of the cake more than made up for it. I would still reccommend them to friends and family, but if you are bridezilla, you might want to go to dessert deli.
