We had our wedding at Swan Harbor in late October 2022 and it was wonderful. Terri and Diane were extremely helpful, responsive, and kind throughout the entire planning process (and I had a lot of questions from beginning to end). The venue offers a beautiful sprawling space for small or large weddings, and the tent being included was an added bonus. We used both the front and back of the house for our cocktail hour and got married under the gorgeous tree overlooking the Bay. Another reason we loved Swan Harbor is that we felt like this venue offered us the ability to make our wedding truly unique and bring in aspects that we wouldn't have been able to do at an all-inclusive venue. There are trade-offs to this, as working with additional vendors and rental companies can add onto the budget and create for some additional challenges/coordination leading up to the big day, but it was important to us that we had a wedding that brought in different aspects of our relationship and families. We also really loved that we could add on hours to the day (for an additional cost that will be written into the contract). That allowed the guys to go earlier in the day to get ready and then have an extended reception, which often wasn't offered at other venues.

All in all, we loved our experience with Terri and Diane and the rest of the Swan Harbor team, and would recommend this venue to friends and family in the future! They went above and beyond in making sure everything was squared away. Thank you for helping to make our vision for our big day become a reality!

We absolutely LOVE Swan Harbor Farm! We knew we wanted to get married here as soon as we saw it. The team that work at SHF are AMAZING and so helpful. Could not recommend more!

I love this venue, it effortlessly created the perfect setting for our wedding! Terri and the entire staff are welcoming and friendly! Even when we had to postpone because of Covid - they were responsive and understanding! The air-conditioned farmhouse really sealed the deal because I knew my guests would be comfortable and have access to real bathrooms. And there are SO many places to get the perfect photos of your day! Would highly reccomend it!

Best staff & outdoor venue!

I have always loved Swan Harbor and was lucky enough to have our reception there! Beautiful bayside venue with a constant breeze to keep the tent cool!

My fiance and I went to tour Swan Harbor Farm and it is beautiful! The responsiveness was fast and we had all of our questions answered! Swan Harbor would have been a great choice if my fiance and I hadn't chosen to go with a destination wedding. Note for brides: The walk from the tent and building to the water would be rather far if you have elderly or disabled individuals at your wedding, however the view from the lawn is just as lovely and much closer to the reception area!

Swan Harbor staff were so friendly and accommodating, they all ensured that our day went as planned. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, landscaping is thoroughly managed, and the house/ tent area set a vintage/timeless ambiance. Sophisticated yet charming, the view alone encompasses numerous willow trees, water/dock, well manicured lawn and an enormous Kentucky coffee tree. Our wedding was breathtakingly perfect, couldn't have asked for a better venue. My Husband and I want to thank you so much Swan Harbor! you made our day so special! From the golf cart rides to the water and back, to the friendly and most helpful staff.

Swan Harbor was so helpful from the first day we did a site visit. Terri was super responsive to all my questions and they even worked with me becaus I had a lot of rentals coming to the venue so the companies could all get there at the needed times. If you just look at the venue you will love the openness and beautiful views from all over! I am beyond excited this is the venue we used!

I don't even know where to start. My day was absolutely perfect. Everything started with Terri Glenn, During my planning process she never hesitated to email me back and was able to answer any last minute questions i had. The weather was perfect and the staff was wonderful and that view! I highly recommend Swan Harbor Farm to anyone!

Swan harbor is a beautiful venue! We fell in love the second we went and stepped onto their grass. Their staff was incredibly helpful and organized. I would absolutely recommend them to my friends and family!

This is the Second Wedding we have had at Swan Harbor. The staff are so easy to work with. They made all
things work out for us. It's a lovely view! Great new canopy! Just gorgeous! Yes, there are chandleliers! New
brick work/paving for the entire tented area and it's larger! Yes, we had rain this past August and the sides
came down. Perfect! Love the house! Love the grounds! Perfect setting for the Rehearsal Dinner as well!

The most beautiful day was spent at Swan Harbor! We double booked the venue and we loved having the house to get ready at before the ceremony. The staff is so friendly and everything is perfect!!

Swan Harbor was a dream venue come true for my now husband and I. After visiting a few venues and then seeing Swan Harbor, we fell in love. It has the perfect rustic setting from the historic property to the waterfront view, it doesn't get much better than that! Staff always responded to any questions I called or emailed about quickly and were always so nice and accommodating. I've recommended them to so many couples since our wedding, two of which who have now chosen this venue! It doesn't matter how the weather is, the multiple scenery opportunities on the property will provide you with amazing pictures and memories of a lifetime. We were blessed with a beautiful 70 degree September fall day without a cloud in the sky but even if it had rained we would have had the new tent to have the ceremony and reception under.

The scenery and view here is amazing! That was exactly what we were looking for in a venue.

Our wedding was in September and we could not have been happier with our choice in venue. The staff was amazing to work with and was always available to answer any questions we had throughout our planning process. On the day of our event, the staff was there upon arrival to help direct guests to the appropriate spots. Throughout the event the staff was basically hidden in plain sight, meaning the staff was available to you if needed, but they were off to the side waiting to help in any way. Our wedding day was a cloudy, windy day, but the venue was gorgeously maintained and the views it offers are second to none. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

Swan Harbor was the PERFECT venue for our big day. The staff was so professional and accommodating. They were also very communicative which you need from a venue. Everyone loved the ceremony and reception, and the venue is a big part of what made that happen. I highly recommend this venue :)

Swan Harbor was the perfect place to have our wedding, and we couldn't be happier! Our guests were amazed at the beauty and expansiveness of the venue...having different gathering areas allowed our large wedding to feel less cramped. Swan Harbor is an absolutely beautiful place to hold a wedding. The views were fantastic - great photo ops. The event planner was very easy to work with. She put us at ease and made everything about planning the wedding venue enjoyable. They offered suggestions and accommodated us with every request we made. The set up/clean up crew were great. We didn't feel rushed to get out of there. I would highly recommend Swan Harbor to any one who is looking for a venue for anything from meetings to weddings.

I would absolutely recommend Swan Harbor Farm to any couple that is looking for a gorgeous backdrop, relax elegant feel for their day. The top 3 things we love is how beautiful the land is, you can bring in your own vendors and book it for the entire day. Swan Harbor Farm is almost a blank canvas (besides the landscaping), we are able to make it our own and doing a double booking allows us/vendors time to set up, mingle with our guest and for vendors to clean up without feeling rushed.

We adored Swan Harbor Farm. Our original venue actually fell through and we had to change venues 3 months before the wedding. Amazingly, Swan Harbor farm was still available (it helped we were in the off-season and our date was a Sunday). We held the ceremony outside under the Kentucky Coffee Tree, with the Bay in the distance, and our reception was under the tent. Having the ceremony and reception so close together was absolutely brilliant. It made everything so much easier. While we took photos our guests enjoyed cocktails on the lawn. Everyone loved Swan Harbor! We received (and continue to receive) so many compliments on the location. We cannot recommend enough! Staff were very helpful and easy to work with as well.

Swan Harbor was the perfect venue for our wedding! We got married in June, and the venue coordinators were such a pleasure to work with. They work with so many otehr vendors and were able to recommend a great caterer to us. When rain started pouring down on our day, they were quick to give us the option of moving the entire ceremony to the tent, but also flexible in seeing if the downpour would pass and so were ok with us delaying 10 minutes to wait until the sun came out again. The option to rent the venue for longer times before and after for preparation and partying was so nice, we rented for about 7 hours. Everything was beautiful, and perfect, despite the rain. We loved it here! My family loved it so much that my brother got married here not even a year later. Such a wonderful experience!

Swan Harbor Farm was the most beautiful venue we had seen in the area and the staff there keep the grounds and the house in amazing condition. The process of booking it and going through all the details was a breeze. Karen was fantastic and it shows that she truly loves what she does. Our September 2014 wedding was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better place to have it.

My daughter got married on 7/5/2014 at swan Harbor.. What a venue. The grounds are beautiful. The house was perfect. The bridal party was able to use the home before the wedding to get ready. It was great. Karen was great to deal with. The day of the wedding Dale took great care of us. The guest were raving about Swan Harbor. I would recommend this place to anyone.i wish I could redo it again. I suggest Laurrapin Grill to cater. A match made in heaven!

Swan Harbor was a beautiful place for my son's wedding. To say it was picture perfect would be an understatement. The flowers in full bloom, the beautiful blue sky, and the sun setting over the water created a beautiful atmosphere for their wedding. Karen and the staff at Swan Harbor were courteous and attentive to all the guests. All the guests were raving. What a gem!!! I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding.

Swan Harbor Farm was a beautiful place for my daughter's wedding. It was so accommodating of all guests and the wedding party too. It was lovely!

Karen and he team at swan harbor were incredible to work with and this venue is a great value the weather was never an issue and the site was clean, immaculate and prepared. The only Higgs to consider are signs for directions it is no easy to get to, the clean up and ending there is little flexibility to assist you unless you hire someone for day of. Their preferred vendors are amazing and know everything very well stick to them. The pictures views and area are gorgeous on the bay and you could not ask for better backdrop with the gazebo.

Swan Harbor Farm is absolutely gorgeous. Our wedding turned out amazingly and it wouldn't have been possible without the help of Karen (Event Coordinator) and her staff! The staff is welcoming, professional, and very knowledgable about weddings. I couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out! We couldn't have picked a more beautiful July wedding venue.

Our wedding was absolutely beautiful at Swan Harbor! We loved the house, the caterer, the DJ, the outdoor tent, everything! The view of the property at night is breathtaking! Definitely recommend this venue!

venue was very beautiful. Be careful to budget your time wisely because the brooms will hit the floor 15 minutes before your reception ends. I suggest double booking on the weekend to get the full experience.

We had our Aug 3, 2013 wedding reception at Swan Harbor Farm and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The grounds are beautiful and makes for a beautiful backdrop for amazing pictures. The tented area is perfect for eating and dancing. We had a turn out of 120 people and there was plenty of room to move around and to dance. I highly recommend Swan Harbor Farm if you are looking for a beautiful outdoor venue with water views and amazing photo opportunities.

Such a beautiful venue and very helpful through the planning process!!

Swan Harbor Farm is an exquisite jewel located in Harford County, MD. The 530-acre estate that looks out onto the Chesapeake Bay is priceless. However, the cost for this venue is affordable and quite a bargain for what is there, in the view and services provided. The estate provides a suite for each the Bride and Groom, as well as beautiful rooms to wander through during the cocktail hour. Our outside ceremony was nestled next to a grand old (oak) tree. We were lucky to have had perfect weather (in July in Maryland?) However, the semi-permanent tent was ample enough for our 150 guests and a 10-piece band and would have served our ceremony for plan b, bad weather, if necessary The grounds were amazing! And a bald eagle flew over shortly before the wedding. All evening guests were able to wander the gorgeous landscape, all the way to the Bay, as well as go indoors for other comforts. The staff was wonderful from our first meeting, right through getting me immediate notice that my security deposit would be returned in its entirety (only days after the event). I describe our wedding as missing only 1 thing - unicorns!

We knew from the moment we stepped on the property at Swan Harbor that we wanted to get married there! Karen was absolutely fabulous and helped us every step of the way.

Our wedding day ended up to be a hot summer day but having the ceremony under the trees provided shade and a breeze for all of us and the guests. The setting was breathtaking and we still have guests telling us that they loved walking around the house and down to the water.

The day of staff was so helpful and there to assist in every way! If you are considering Swan Harbor Farm I highly recommend it! You won't be disappointed!

If you are looking for an outdoor wedding with beautiful water views, stop looking- you found it! Go book now!!! It books up fast (we booked over 1.5 years out and only one Saturday was left that month). Karen is great- she knows what she is doing and recommends great vendors to work with. The venue speaks for itself- my photographer said he was overwhelmed by the amount of beautiful shot possibilities! They have a rain plan too, so do not worry. One thing I will say is that they do have strict rules (such as no rose petals, no floating lanterns, etc) but it is clearly written in the contract. Honestly, you don't need that extra stuff- the venue is so gorgeous that it works by itself. I loved every minute of our wedding here! :)

Couldn't have found a more perfect place to get married!

We had a 150 person wedding at Swan Harbor Farm in September 2012. We absolutely loved it. The grounds are beautiful. The staff was a pleasure to deal with. They were extremely professional and knew what they were doing. It's a little pricey, but it's worth every penny. The rental includes use of the house (for getting ready, cocktail hour, etc), the tent (which was more than large enough for our 150 person wedding, has adequate lighting, has a brick floor so the dance floor is a large as you want it to be, and side flaps for the tent in case of rain and wind), and tables and chairs are provided as well. We "double-booked" our Saturday evening wedding, meaning we paid extra so there wasn't a Saturday morning wedding before ours. This allowed us to have use of the property from 1pm - 2am, so the girls were able to take their time getting ready in the house beforehand. It also gave us plenty of time to set up decorations. If your budget allows, I would recommend double-booking.

Swan Harbor staff was very helpful and were available to answer any questions that I had along the way. The staff that was there the night of our wedding was great and made sure that we were taken care of.

I fell in love with Swan Harbor!! I searched for a venue for months as I was originally looking for a beach wedding. After many discouraging weeks of not having any luck, I happened to put waterfront wedding into google and Swan Harbor Farm popped up. From the first moment that I clicked on their website and went through their pictures I knew that this was the place! From the very first visit, Karen was amazing, she knew the answer to all my little questions and was very helpful in finding other vendors, as we are not from Maryland. Swan Harbor gave me all the little things I wanted when it came to their grounds, a beautiful old farm house, a bay in the background, weeping willow trees and a very cool old barn which was great for photos!! To this day, exactly 1 month after our wedding, I am still so in love with SHF and we can't wait to go back to Maryland to visit!

This is the most beautiful venue in Harford County! I wanted to get married outside and by the water and as soon as we visited Swan Harbor we stopped looking. Another one of my concerns was that I wanted to be the only bride and there during our wedding. I hate when you have a place that has two weddings going on at the same time or random people walking around your ceremony or reception. Swan Harbor's natural beauty and setting allow you not to go overboard with flowers and decorations because it is so pretty and already has so much character. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who wants to chance the weather and get married outside! Our pictures were beautiful!

From the minute I walked on to Swan Harbor Farm, I knew that was where I was going to get married. Located through the woods on beautiful grounds overlooking the Chesapeake Bay with a stunning, well maintained home originating from the 1700's, SHF is picturesque and really did not require much decorating has it boasts luscious greenery and flowers, a gorgeous fountain, and a gazebo and pier to the Bay. Because it is owned by Harford County, there are rules and regulations we had to follow, however that did not deter any of our planning - it actually made things simpler. We were fortunate to have perfect weather on our day, but in the event that there was inclement weather, there is the option to have the ceremony under the tent where the reception is held which was also a selling point for us as mid-Atlantic weather tends to be bi-polar at times and we weren't sure what kind of weather we would have. Additionaly, working with Karen made it very easy to plan our wedding as she was very responsive, at our meetings she was clear and concise in helping me to organize things with the other vendors, and really was a pleasure to work with. SHF was the perfect location and Karen was pivotal in helping me plan a beautiful wedding there - thank you!

Swan Harbor Farm is beautiful!!! I had my ceremony and reception at Swan Harbor and could not be happier with my selection. The setting is perfect for a wedding, the Chesapeake Bay is a gorgeous backdrop for photos. The large tent with the brick flooring for the reception is perfect for a wedding. The home itself is historical and no-one can deny its charm. Karen (the wedding coordinator) is sweet, receptive and professional. She was always willing to help with any details or questions. My guests were amazed at the beauty of Swan Harbor...and so was I.

My husband and I were married on 6.10.11 at swan harbor farm. We worked with Karen Tegges during the planning process and she was wonderful to work with. The property is owned by Harford County so they definitely make strides to maintain the integrity of the property. The grounds were beautiful the staff was delightful and accomodating. They have done so many events and you can tell by the staffs experience and how they handle you and your guests. We worked with Atlantic Caterers who is also fabulous and they are preferred caterer of Swan Harbor farm. The venue has a full kitchen which also makes it great for whichever caterer you may use. It was a lovely event and Swan Harbor Farm was eveyrthing we hoped for and more.

If you want your wedding and/or reception to be held outdoors, then I highly recommend Swan Harbor Farms. It sits on the Chesapeake Bay in Havre de Grace, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. From the stately home built in the 1700s, to the floral gardens, to the Bay, there are amazing backgrounds for the perfect wedding pictures. Karen was extremely helpful and quick to answer any question we had. Mention Swan Harbor Farm to anyone who has been there, and you will always hear how beautiful the location is for a wedding/reception.

I honestly couldn't have found a better place to have my wedding! The staff was amazing, and I loved knowing that I could (try to) sit back and relax and know that everything would go smoothly. The house and the water make the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding, and you're able to have some shade by having the ceremony under the beautiful, large tree. You should definitely check out Swan Harbor if you want an outdoor wedding!

I absolutely loved Swan Harbor Farms! My husband and I were looking for an outdoor venue that could provide us with an alternative in the case of inclement weather. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and replanted as the weather changes, so there are always flowers blooming! We had to do very little decorating because of the natural beauty of the grounds. Karen, the coordinator, was great to work with! The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I was LUCKY enough to be able to book Swan Harbor after my original venue cancelled on us. Karen was so flexible and supportive throughout our entire planning process. My husband & I are both military and constantly deployed. I planned a large portion of our wedding from Afghanistan and then the last couple months I was in Arizona. She made this process seamless for us. Things work in mysterious ways & the cancellation of my first venue was a blessing in disguise, I would not have wanted to have my special day anywhere else!!!!

This place is absolutely gorgeous! Also it is great for any size wedding! Karen and Craig were great to work with. They were extremely professional and had a great amount of knowledge and experience when it came to wedding coordinating/planning. I would highly recommend!

When we visited Swan Harbor Farm nearly 2 years before the date of our planned wedding, we fell in love with it. Karen Tegges, the Event Coordinator, was very helpful and friendly which made the selection process that much easier.
We are very glad we found SHF as soon as we did because the venue books up as much as 2 years in advance. You have to act fast to get the date you want.
The value for the cost of SHF is excellent. Several people commented that our wedding felt like a movie or a dream based on the scenic outdoor view. It was everything we imagined.

I absolutely loved Swan Harbor. This was the first and only venue we looked at and we were sold before we even got out of the car. The staff was great and highly organized. It is a great place for a quite outdoor wedding with great scenery and easy for out of towners to get to.

I LOVE swan harbor! This was the third venue my husband and I looked at it. Within 5 minutes, we were sold. The house, grounds, and view are gorgeous!! Everything is kept up with really well and the staff are great. Karen was very helpful and answered all of my questions promptly and kindly! She was always there to listen, calm me, and answer everything I asked. Every guest said that the place was breath taking and one of the nicest weddings they had ever been to. I cant wait to have a reason to host something else here. The staff and grounds were amazing, and my day was perfect!!!!!!

Swan Harbor Farm was the most beautiful place in the world. We had about 190 guests under the tent for an evening wedding in June. I have never heard so many compliments in my life. It was breath taking. I was a nervvvvvvous WRECK about the weather that day, and guess what...IT RAINED..and I am STILL saying i wouldn't have changed a single thing!!! I had umbrellas there just in case. It was an evening thundersorm that rolled by SECONDS after the ceremony and ended just in time for cocktail hour. It actually cooled everything off and made it even more pleasant! Karen is an Angel! She is such a sweetheart to work with! She is professional but yet has such a big heart for the bride and her big day! There are tons of rules, but nothing that you wouldn't expect and every one has logic behind them. Karen DOES work with you if you need to drop off decor early that day, etc. I reccomend the ceremony on the walkway, not under the tree. Every pic of our ceremony has the bay and gazebo in the backround and it is BEAUTIFUL! So, So, So GORGEOUS.

I would high suggest buying all the extra hours you can get for your vendors to set up, this is the only negative about Swan Harbor is the time slot is a little short fro the vendors to set up and clean up before the next wedding comes in!

Swan Harbor Farm was not only extremely beautiful, but they were so friendly and helpful. Everything was taken care of and I didn't have to stress at all on my wedding day. The grounds and house were immaculate and the wedding went very smoothly. I have recommended Swan Harbor to SOOOO many of my friends and at least 5 of them have gotten married there since I did!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Swan Harbor Farm! It is an awesome venue and the site's coordinator, Karen, was absolutely great to work with. All of our guests commented how gorgeous the site was and we were asked over and over how we found it. If you are looking for an outdoor/gardeny type wedding venue, this is a must see. Additionally, it is a great value-- we looked at similar locations in the Annapolis area that were not nearly as pretty or offered as much yet cost thousands of dollars more.

Swan Harbor was amazing! We rented it for the entire day so we had a lot of time to get all the girls together for pictures before the ceremony and then bring in the guys. I loved the bridal suite where I got ready and watched the lawn turn into a magical outdoor setting. We got married at 5 which was perfect. Not too hot but perfect timing for dancing off into the sunset. I would do it all over again! Since it's a public park (which is closed for your day) we have been able to go back on our anniversary and enjoy a picnic on the same lawn we got married on. How sweet is that!!! I highly recommend Swan Harbor, the people are great and the facility is just breath taking.

The most common thing people said to me was how beautiful the place was and where did I ever find out about such a lovely location. It was perfect. They take great pains to keep it looking manicured and fresh and we had no problems with anyone working there. There was even a sailboat in view during the ceremony--totally luck, but hey, I'll take it. The only little slip was that a family fishing on the pier (it's a park so people can on the pier but not on the grounds during a wedding) didn't know or ignored the direction to head back to their car behind the tree line and instead marched up through the field/lawn in front of our ceremony. SHF people chewed them out because they promise that won't happen. Eh, not many people noticed. I don't think we could have picked a better location.

Swan Harbor Farm is a beautiful, welcoming location for a wedding ceremony and reception. I can't imagine a lovelier site! In addition, the staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Karen Tegges is a wealth of information and seemed personally interested in making our event as lovely as possible. Kathy, who often answered the phone, was always pleasant and helpful. And the staff on duty the day of my daughter's wedding were efficient and yet unobtrusive. Swan Harbor Farm is a first-class operation! We definitely made the right choice for our big day!

Karen at Swan Harbor was incredible! She made sure all of our concerns were addressed and our thoughts were heard. The venue was incredibly gorgeous (everyone kept asking where I found it!) and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to have our wedding!

I loved having my wedding at Swan Harbor Farm. I knew it was the place I wanted after 5 minutes. The staff is very helpful and nice. They are a little farm from Baltimore, but well worth the drive. The facilities were just perfect. We had about 100 people and it was very comfortable. A little on the pricey side, but you have to pay for the "perfect" location. Since my wedding I know of 2 other weddings that are being held there after I told them where I had mine and they saw it for themselves. It just has "the look" if you want an outdoor, romantic, cozy wedding.

Swan Harbor is a wonderful place. From beginning to end. the location proved to be perfect. It was a little hot but the breeze off the water made everything fine. Please go visit to truely get a feel for this wonderful venue.

Beautiful view, outside under covered tents. House was beautiful with cocktails being served outside on the patio. Guests were able to enjoy the airconditioning as well as tour the rooms while waiting for the photos of the wedding party to be completed. Appetizers were served in the house. Excellent set-up, would highly recommend!

My husband and I found Swan Harbor Farm through one of his coworkers who had gotten married there a few years prior, and we immediately fell in love! The venue was exactly what I was looking for--outdoor ceremony, water views, beautiful landscaping, tented reception, etc. The property is owned by Harford county, which is probably the only drawback, as scheduling tours and other visits can be a little difficult as hours are 9-5 Mon-Fri. However, Terri and Diane , were extremely responsive and helpful in finding us times to view the property and answering any questions throughout the planning process. We received SO many compliments from our guests on just how "perfect" the venue was, some even saying it was the nicest they've ever been to! And everyone took advantage of snagging some new profile pictures down by the water :)

Although the property is public, we did not have any issues with any "wedding crashers" and the staff that were on-site on our wedding day were so sweet and helpful (even when not one, but 2 of the toilets got clogged).

The only thing that Swan Harbor should change is to market themselves more! This venue is so lovely and I am not sure I would have found it without the referral. I hope this review helps!

My husband and I knew we wanted to have our wedding somewhere in Havre De Grace since it was a happy medium for both of our families and friends. When we went for our walk thru, to our surprise we discovered that my husband’s grandparents were the caretakers of the house in the eighties. The house is very nice and has an antique character (which I loved), includes views of the Susquehanna (perfect for pictures) and the tent for the reception was simple but just enough for our simple yet elegant wedding. Due to the sentimental value that this location held as well as its gorgeous land scape, we knew it was the perfect fit for our special day. All of the staff was very friendly and kept us in the loop throughout the whole year of planning. Since we decided on a Friday date, the cost of the venue was much lower than expected. We received many compliments about this beautiful gem in Harco.

We selected Swan Harbor for our venue because of it's magnificent landscape, the facilities of the farm house for the bride and groom's dressing/preparation needs, as well as the caterer's need for a professional kitchen, and the spacious white, linen lined tent over the stamped concrete floor for the romance of the reception. Compared to other venues we looked at in Baltimore City and Harford County, Swan Harbor Farm gave us great value for money. Cindy and the rest of the professional staff were always helpful and polite, and went the extra mile to work with our vendors to ensure they knew the ins and outs of the venue. The only hitch was a few minutes wait after the ceremony for the cart to take us down to the water for after ceremony photographs. Beyond that, the night was perfect and the venue the best we could have hoped for.

Our wedding is in October, so this review is for everything leading up to the wedding. I have been to weddings here before, and the venue is Gorgeous! For the area, it was also an affordable option for us. The only issue I have is with not being able to conduct my Rehearsal here due to other event bookings the day before. I don't want to have to see my groom the day of the wedding before the ceremony. A little hiccup, but certainly not a deal reader. Love the service I've received from the staff.

Swan Harbor Farm is a great place to get married and if I had the option to do it all again, I would , but this time I would get the extended hour! Since Swan Harbor is owned by the County, they do have a few regulations like no rose petals, sparklers, or smoking, but when it is all said and done you won't even miss any of that stuff anyway. The ground is beautiful and the views of the water are amazing!

This venue is absolutely beautiful! We received so many compliments from our guests for our daughters' wedding 9-27-14. It is a little expensive. You have to pay to rent the house, tent and every table and chair. The grounds are breathtaking....better book this venue at least 14 months in advance!

I fell in love with this site the moment I saw it. The grounds were in phenomenal shape and the landscaping perfect. We got the best compliments from our guests that the venue was perfect. Karen was attentive and responsive to meetings and email communication (as we lived far away). We found the cost affordable for the quality of service. Karen provided and assisted with vendor selection. The house was kept in time period and good shape. We just love Swan Harbor!

Swan Harbor was an amazing venue and an easy choice to make for our wedding! Karen is amazing and really goes above and beyond her job to make sure that you have everything you need and want met for your wedding. There are very few negative things to say about swan harbor. The only thing would be because it is a public park and the fabulous people that work there work during regular/government business hours, sometimes it was difficult to make meeting times. However, with that being said, I was constantly out of town for school during the entire planning season of my wedding and Karen was well aware of this and was fabulous with responding to my emails quickly and once we were able to find a small chunk of time that would work for both of us, she made sure she did everything in her power to hold that time slot for me, which I so greatly appreciated!
Up until the day of the wedding, I felt that I knew everything that would happen. Our final meeting a month before the wedding was a long meeting but this was so we could walk through almost every detail of the day so there were no surprises the day of and there weren't. Everything ran so smoothly! I was very lucky and blessed that the actual day of my wedding I had nothing to stress about except what my next drink was going to be. It was a perfect day, perfect weather and a perfect venue especially for our very budget conscious planning.

Ms. Karen Tegges and the entire Swan Harbor staff were very kind, professional and helpful. They responded to all questions in a timely fashion and the venue was just as they described. The place made the day so very special

a beautiful venue to hold your wedding or any special occasion...Just love the wedding coordinator Karen..we had our wedding on a weekday so we were able to save some money... the only down side is the time ...we need more time for the preparation...wish we can do the decor at least a day before the wedding so we dont have to rush doing the preparations on the wedding day itself.But overall the staff are just wonderful

Our wedding at Swan Harbor Farm was absolutely beautiful - the best day of my life. It was a gorgeous day in late April 2012 - the flowers and scenery are just so beautiful and we had so many friends and family that our wedding was one of the most beautiful they had ever attended. We did get married at a church and then arrived at Swan Harbor which worked great - I think it might be more work for the catering staff to do it all there. It is also a bit pricey for it being a county park - but I cannot imagine having my wedding anywhere else. The farm-garden-bay location is beautiful and our pictures turned out amazing. Would definitely recommend it!

This is a beautiful location for an outdoor wedding. Our wedding was in the fall and it was amazing. I had so many comments from my guest on the venue. Getting ready inside the house was fun and had its effect. We had our ceremony outside by the big tree with the water in the background. All of our pictures turned out great. You do have to book in advance because this place books fast. We got engaged in July and had to pick our date and location within a month, there was only one full Saturday left in the month of October and it was more than a year in advance. The staff there are very professional and can recommend vendors that are familiar with their venue. That was very helpful. Tip: Choose a caterer that is very familiar with the venue, it makes things go so smoothly! Everything went perfect thanks to Swan Harbor. We had a beautiful wedding!

This place is soooo pretty!!! It does cost a lot, but I think it is worth the money. The staff that works there kept the place clean and tidy for all the guests. The water backdrop is great!! I have always loved this place and knew this is where i wanted to get married. You have to book early because they do fill up!!!!!!!!!

Swan Harbor Farm is an absolutely beautiful place!!!! We were a little skeptical to book this venue initially because it was a little more than we wanted to spend on a venue, but it was WELL WORTH IT!!! The grounds are absolutely beautiful during the day and night, the dock, gazebo, tent, house and barn made for awesome pictures and memories. Our guests kept commenting on how beautiful our venue was. It was over 95 degrees on our wedding day and the heat was quickly forgotten about after seeing just how breathtaking the wedding was.

The set up of the tent is great, having the food and bar in one spot, and the dancing and tables in another. The house was a great place for people to cool off and look around. Our guests loved being able to walk around the house, on the inside and outside, as well as walk down to the water.

Karen Tegges was great to work with. She is very friendly and excited to help out any bride and her family. She was honestly the best event coordinator out of all of the reception venues we had visited. She had a lot of suggestions and recommendations and knew what she was talking about.

It was the greatest day, and the most beautiful wedding! The tent sides and ability for fans to be used in the tent make it accomodating for rain or extreme heat. I am so happy and thankful that we had our wedding at Swan Harbor. We had a great time, have beautiful memories and beautiful pictures from this venue.

Swan Harbor is a BEAUTIFUL location (which anyone who sees it will attest to) and your guests will make WONDERFUL comments for a long time to come. Swan Harbor does have some pretty strict rules (as other brides have stated) but there are reasons for all of them that make sense and they are forthright in the very beginning about them. They are all written down in the contract that must be signed so you can refer to them later as you plan your wedding. I worked with Karen Tegges who was very responsive to any and all questions throughout the planning process and made great suggestions when I became stumped. The Swan Harbor workers on the day of the wedding were available when needed, super friendly, and incognito. I would highly recommend having a ceremony and/or reception at the beautiful Swan Harbor Farm.

Swan Harbor Farm was the perfect location for our wedding! We wanted an outdoor wedding and I had to have a water view. Swan Harbor was a great site that had everything we wanted, and could accommodate all of our guests.

We fell in love with this place as soon as we visited. We were in search of a reasonably priced venue that we could have both the ceremony and reception in an outdoor setting, SHF fit all of our criteria and more! It really is a beautiful setting with the Chesapeake Bay being the background for your ceremony and reception. And the grounds crew there keep it looking really beautiful. There are staff members present during the event, but they are only there to be sure no rules are broken, the coordination of your event really comes from your caterer. It really is a beautiful place to get married, the whole night we kept saying to each other how beautiful everything was and that we couldn't believe we actually were getting married here. The natural beautiful scenery provides so many great places for photos. Also, one of my favorite parts of the day was looking out the window of the bridal suite down at all the guests arriving and groomsman getting ready. It's sounds silly, but we really enjoyed being able to witness this.

Things that I didn't like were that they do two weddings there every weekend day; therefore, you cannot arrive earlier than your allotted time frame, unless you pay for a double booking. So, when the bridal party arrived 15 mins. early they would not unlock the doors until 5:30 exactly (even though there was no previous wedding that day). Also, it stormed during our reception and they had to put the tent sides down, so they took the $200 for the tent sides out of our security deposit return. I can't argue because this is explicity stated in the contract, I just think it is a little ridiculous to charge that much after we already paid to rent the tent (of which the sides are already attached), just for the caterer (whom we also already paid) to zip them up.

This is a gorgeous venue and worth the risk of an outdoor wedding! We had a beautiful day, and they always keep the landscape looking so nice. The workers were great and very pleasant. Our only issue was that they wouldn't let my fiance's grandmother ride in the golf cart to the water for pictures. She has issues walking and was unable to get pictures by the water with us. I think there should be certain exceptions for this case. Other than that, it was unbelievably wonderful! Karen was amazing to work with, very receptive and honest with ideas and concerns.

The farm is fabulous! The views, the grounds and the house is just beautiful. We held the wedding and reception there, the wedding party got ready in the upstairs bedrooms of the house. The farm is the best wedding venue I have ever been to.

Swan Harbor was the first place my husband and I came to when we were looking for a wedding venue and found ourselves always comparing later locations back to Swan Harbor. Nowhere was able to match the natural beauty and unique aspect of the old style home. We had to do very minimal to decorate for our ceremony considering the landscaping and floral arrangements on the grounds were immaculate. Karen was so great to work with and her experience in putting together weddings was evident as she had everything run without a hiccup. Swan Harbor will always be a special place for my husband and I!

Swan Harbor Farm was a beautiful venue for our wedding reception and we and all our guests loved it. The staff were very professional and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Swan Harbor to anyone considering it, it's a jewel.

This venue was absolutely perfect. I was everything I was looking for and more. The staff is very helpful and the price isn't bad considering most venues now days are at least $10,000. Everyone at the wedding mentioned to me how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had.

Swan harbor Farms was an absolutely beautiful place to have our wedding. It is right on the Chesapeake Bay which you can walk down to along a path about a quarter-mile from the tent reception area. They were very strict on the rules since it is a state owned so you can't have any flower petals, rice, candles or things like that but it is very affordable and absolutely stunning. The house, which has restrooms and places for the bridal party to change is historic and immaculate. The gardens around the venue are so ornate you really don't need to dress up the wedding very much.

The site is a great value and Karen in the office was fantastic getting us through with her expertise and background with all the other vendors that we had. The unfortunate part was their lack of flexibility with the time to show up and time to leave. We had very few helpers and needed some assistance and advice on site.

Swan Harbor was great! The weather was great which made for a great night! It is a bit expensive for the use of the tent and house, but its definitely worth a trip up there even if youre mildly considering an outdoor wedding. As the groom, the only thing I wasnt happy about was the lack of outdoor lighting for the cocktail hour and we were told there would be someone from the house directing people, and I didnt see that happening. Very small negatives compared to the amzing time we had all night! SWAN HARBOR WAS GREAT

Beautiful location and all the staff are very helpful. Like the other brides commented-there is no negotiating the rules. Also, make sure to book in advance-they fill up so quickly! I would definetly recommend this site!

I had my wedding at Swan Habor on June 14th, 2009. Leading up to that I was dealing with Karen Tegges who by the way is professional and helpful. I was so happy with the day of the wedding. Everything went perfectly. Swan Harbor is so beautiful and well kept. The grounds are breath taking and the view is to die for. I had heard in the past that the staff the day of events were hard to deal with but we didn't have any problems. They were very pleasant. I would highly recommend this venue to others and already have to a few friends. Thanks so much to everyone at Swan Habor for making our wedding such a beautiful time.
