Suzuran Photography captured our pandemic mini-wedding (October 10, 2020) and our larger reception later on (December 4, 2021), and we could not recommend them enough!
We had been following Suzanne and Dan’s Instagram (@suzuranphotography) for quite a while, and when it came time to select our photographer, the choice to go with them was easy. Not only did we love the aesthetic of their photography, but we loved the ways they captured small, intimate moments.
When we had our engagement session with Suzanne, it was very clear that her easy-going personality was exactly what we had hoped for. She knew all the creative spots and made us feel comfortable along the way. Oh! And she’s great with dogs too! Our doggo Annie had to make an appearance for some of the pictures.
Suzanne was always in touch with us and extremely accommodating. When we had to cancel our large reception to a small intimate, outdoor wedding during the pandemic, they were very understanding and took extra caution when at the reception. And over a year later, they were back with us for a large wedding reception at the Union Club of Cleveland.
We wanted a photographer that was not just a business transaction, but someone we could get to know. Suzanne and Dan get to know each couple as friends, which is a really rare experience.
For every step of the way, Suzuran Photography captured the most beautiful, timeless moments, and we could not be happier to have them as our photographers and friends.

When my husband and I first met Suzanne for our engagement session, we immediately clicked with her. She spent time getting to know us and helping us feel comfortable in a situation that, for us, felt totally foreign. By the end of the day, we were relaxed and laughing which is exactly what was captured in our photos. I was floored by how sweetly she captured these small, micro-moments of us looking at one another or turning a certain way. On our wedding day, we were both completely at ease. Dan joined my husband in the guys in their suite for the morning and Suzanne took the time to photograph all of my small wedding details while I was getting ready so i didn't feel rushed or like I had to pose the second she walked in - it was so relaxed! She and Dan coordinated perfectly for our first look and found the most magical little park near our hotel where we could exchange our vows in private. It was so special and I never felt like they were hovering or forcing a moment. It made our day feel incredibly intimate despite being followed around by 2 cameras the whole time! The most remarkable thing was how prepared they were for a rainy day that took the rest of us by surprise. They had clear umbrellas on hand, backup shooting locations and ideas for us, and were super focused on making sure they got the shot while keeping me dry and my dress white, despite the puddles. We absolutely love Suzanne and Dan - having them document our wedding felt so warm and joyful; I can't imagine having chosen anyone else! -

They were kind, and efficient, creative and accommodating. We will definitely be using them again for all of our photography needs! -

After interviewing multiple photographers in the Cleveland area, they became my first choice. I was so excited that they were available! First, I just love them as people. They are sweet, gentle people who are able to see and capture beauty in the smallest and biggest things. Second, they are absolutely amazing photographers. I love everything about my wedding photos. Between the two of them, they captured so many beautiful moments. They also create those moments-- a few of my favorite photos were created thanks to Suzuran's brilliant ideas on how to use bubbles and sparklers! They are so good at what they do-- and the photos they post on their website just prove it, don't they? On top of that, they treat everyone like their dear friends. Dan and Suzanne gave us the wedding gift we will cherish most for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful for them and could not recommend them any more highly! -

Jennifer Sent on 11/27/2013Suzanne and Dan from Suzuran Photography are extremely talented photographers, they are able to capture moments you didn’t even realize are happening. They have such a lovely way of shooting, when you look at their photos you feel like you stepped into that moment. We were very excited to have them capture our wedding day, which I think they completely exceed our expectations. I highly recommend them for anyone that is looking for beautiful photographs of their wedding. -

Angela Sent on 09/26/2011Suzanne proved to be a fantastic photographer. We were able to take both engagement photos and wedding photos with her. The engagement photos gave us a chance to loosen up in front of the camera and the pics turned out great. Suzanne even drove all the way out to Geneva, only for us to cancel the photo session after realizing it was way too cold to do anything outdoors! She was incredibly flexible with our schedules and we were able to get pictures on another day. On the day of the wedding, Suzanne (and her assistant/fiance Dan) were both wonderful. I've been to some weddings in the past where the photographers are incredibly intrusive and ruin the experience for the guests. At our wedding, Suzanne and Dan stayed out of the way as much as possible, while still getting great photos for us to cherish always. I'd definitely recommend Suzuran Photography for any of your picture-taking needs :) -
