The best wedding team we could have asked for !

Holly and Matt were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were so kind and easy to work with and made the entire process so simple. Holly assisted me with all the timing I needed for hair and makeup and partnered with the wedding coordinators to ensure we stayed on schedule. She allowed me to make whatever decisions I wanted and never was there to help support but ensured I was happy with everything and got what I wanted! I received so many compliments about how amazing they were and how smooth all the family pictures went! We had larger groups in pictures and they were able to keep everything organized to keep us on schedule. Holly checked in with me through the months leading to the wedding, they did our engagement photos which turned out better then I could have dreamed . My husband and I aren’t big picture takers but holly and Matt supported us through it all , made us super comfortable and even gave tips and tricks on outfits!! I am soooo happy we found them and I would highly recommend them!!! Thank you Holly and Matt for capturing our day so beautifully!

February Wedding!

Holly was incredible! She captured each moment of authenticity. It didn’t feel like we were posing for our big day, we simply lived in the love and she caught every moment perfectly. I highly recommend! We not only got so many pictures taken, we had a large wedding party, and a long day and she photographed from beginning to the end, all without a hitch. BEAUTIFUL work! Could not be happier!

Amazing Duo

Holly and Matt were more than amazing! They welcomed us from the very beginning at our engagement session (highly recommend). They communicate well and are so easy to work with. They fit right in with guests and get all the best shots. Holly put together a timeline with me and made sure we stuck to it to get every picture I wanted. I didn't feel weird at all, she knew exactly how to pose us and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Their work is honestly the best and great turn around time! I love her quick previews before all the pictures are ready for me. Love them!

The Best Photo / Video Team You Could Ask For

After meeting Holly and Mat from Sutography, we immediately knew we wanted them to capture the best day of our lives and we are so glad we were able to work with them. Holly and Mat are talented, dynamic. They made the booking and planning process easy and enjoyable. Their planning suite addressed every little detail and organized what would’ve been an overwhelming task to an enjoyable puzzle.
On our wedding day, they were amazing! They had planned all the details, logistics, and timing. They were organized, attentive and accommodating. They helped us stay on top of our timeline while giving us everything we had asked for.
They listened to our vision and made it happen. Our photos and videos were finished on time and they are beautiful! We could not be happier with the quality of work and the personal experience they provided us. While most couples say they watch their wedding video once, we’ve watched ours several times already.

Professional, personable, organized, knowledgeable, and extremely talented!

I had already been familiar with Holly and Matt's work having been a bridesmaid in one wedding they covered, and a guest at several others. Having seen how gracefully and professionally they cover a wedding and the quality of their work, I knew they would be the only ones I would trust to cover my wedding. So much value for the price, and there really is no substitute for how well planned, knowledgeable, and supportive Holly is. I am terrible at posing for pictures and the engagement session provided the practice I needed, and it established both a relationship and a common language between us all that was a lifesaver on my wedding day. I wish I would have given myself more time to more fully complete their planning template because it really is thorough and takes all the over thinking and decision making out of wedding day. I highly recommend Sutography for your wedding photography if you want high quality photos, phenomenal service, timely turnaround, and ease of mind.

Love & Marriage in the Time of Corona

ABSOLUTE DREAM & PURE PERFECTION!!! Not all heroes wear capes. Holly and Mat of Sutography are more than we could ever have dreamed of! Picture this, you get engage during Comic-Con 2019 (50th anniversary) and you plan for a wedding the week to follow Comic-Con 2020, then a pandemic hits and you no longer can have the wedding you planned for the past year, or even the engagement shoot. Well, as undesired the circumstances, Holly and Mat rolled with the punches, were flexible, accommodating, and the epitome of utter professionals. They not only recommended a new, allowed location that maintained the social distance requirements, but helped us forget that we were in the midst of a pandemic in addition to our insecurities regarding photography. They make you feel comfortable as if you've known each other for YEARS! And the previews of our wedding photos and engagement shoot are absolutely stunning! Those sneaks peaks let us know that we DEFINITELY made the right decision. If you're looking for a photographer/videographer, this husband and wife duo are true heroes! Had I the opportunity to sing their praises every day, I would do just that! Book them for whatever the occasion, and you will not be disappointed.

Professional and Perfect

We had such a great experience with Holly and Mat! My husband and I are both in the film and photo industry, so we were really picky when it came to who would shoot our wedding. Ultimately, we were both glad that we chose Sutography! The quality was amazing, for both the videos and photos! Also, both my husband and I are not super into taking photos of ourselves, but Holly and Mat really worked with us and understood us --never asking us to do poses we weren't comfortable with and really being in tune to our feelings. We would recommend Sutography completely!

Amazing! We love holly and mat!

I don't even have the words to describe how amazing Holly and Mat are! This review is very long overdue but very much needed!

We had booked them for our wedding last November and they were truly amazing! We had fallen in love with them after reviewing their online portfolio and then decided to also do our engagement photos with them!

When we got our first set of photos back, holy moly, we were so far beyond impressed and we knew we made the right decision! When we had first talked to Holly on the phone and she made the comment "I will climb in a tree, or on the roof, or lay in the dirt to get your perfect picture," I couldn't imagine that anyone would actually do that! But sure enough, Holly put herself in all sorts of awkward situations to make sure the photos were perfect! She constantly was checking to make sure my hair wasn't in my face, or that my clothes weren't wrinkled, or anything was going on that would make the picture anything less than what you would see in a magazine!

After our first shoot with them for our engagement photos, we knew we had definitely made the right decision for our wedding photos! Come the big day, Holly and Mat were just wonderful! They had timers set on their watch to make sure we got all the photos we needed in as timely manner and nothing got forgotten. They were in trees and bushes, crouched around corners! Anything to make sure every picture and video was perfect!

I can't even describe the feeling and comfort I had working with the two of them! They were like family. I was so at ease and comfortable and I knew no matter what, we would have the most amazing photos and videos to capture our big day! And we were absolutely right!

Every framed photo we have in our house is one taken by Holly and Mat! We absolutely love every minute of our wedding videos and every single one of our photos! We have made the decision that when it comes time for maternity photos and family photos, we will only ever go to Holly and Mat!

The two of them are amazing! They are extremely sweet and comforting! Their work is perfect!

I cannot recommend Sutography enough!

Thank you Holly and Mat for making our special day one to remember, and making sure we had everything we needed to make sure we could never forget it!

The best photography/videography

Holly and Matt are the best. We are so in love with our wedding and engagement pictures. They helped make our special day even more perfect. I swear Holly doubles as a coordinator. She helped keep us on time and so organized. The whole process was super easy and alleviated stress.

Detailed oriented team

Holly asks the right questions to gauge your interest so that both of them can visualize how you envisioned your wedding day down to the details. She even looked up what time the sunset would be on our day and recommended where to get extra videography done because we hired an outside photographer. Communication is efficient and contracts are handled electronically. Our wedding party lost one party (BM, GM) a few weeks prior and I am glad Holly jumps right in to execute as a new MOH needed direction. Week of she sent a final timeline of how things would be handled in the bridal suite so that MOH/BM cannot throw in any surprises (i.e. cry, walk out of suite, call their SO, complain, etc). -- I made sure to hang this timeline up so that everyone understood the importance of time/hours slotted for vendors. If you review her TIPS and read her supplemental info via contracts, these pointers will help you manage bridal anxiety/stress. I like that Matt is low-key and tends to hide in the background, while Holly is very soft hearted but gets things done w/the bridal party. I had one flower girl and ring bearer, and Holly complimented in how well behaved they were given the day logistics. I am glad that Holly & Matt are well-versed in Asian wedding logistics which streamlined the reception process. Video was ready to go from start to end of day, and always one step ahead that we were ahead of schedule all day. Honestly, this video team along w/my outside photographer really kept me sane as both vendors gelled well together -- and most importantly, are the 2 vendors whom are with you all day. The videos were finished around the holidays which was a nice surprise to show our families, and she also sent a nice gift! PS: we got a few ring photos from Holly as our photographer forgot to take shots of our wedding rings, so consider that as a bonus and how well organized Holly & Matt run their business. I am glad to have supported and hired them for our videographer needs.

The perfect dream team!

Holly and Mat are AMAZING to work with! We did both our engagement photos and wedding photos withe Sutography and all of them turned out amazing.

The captured the essence of our relationship perfectly and they are so easy to work with. I loved the quality of the photos because they weren't overly touched up and every moment in the photos seemed so authentic.

Holly is a dream to work with how detail oriented she is and her questions helped me put together the perfect wedding timeline and they are so efficient that we were EARLY with our schedule the day of our wedding and we still got all the friends and family pictures we wanted! Their level of quality is amazing and I ended up having over 1,000 pictures from our wedding day that were neatly organized by event. All our family and friends have raved about how our photos turned out and with a judgmental Asian family that is saying a lot.

I can’t say enough great and amazing things about our experience with Sutography. Holly and Matt are awesome and they made both our engagement session and our entire wedding experience the best ever. Stunning moments captured

What a stellar couple Holly and Mat are! From the first meet up to the delivery of our wedding photos was nothing less than perfect. I loved that they were so flexible with what we wanted as we did not want the whole wedding filmed but just the ceremony and our first dance and that helped us greatly with our budget. The photos are stunning and terrific quality. What stands out to me the most was their attention to detail. My dog, who was my ring bearer, passed away just weeks before the wedding so I placed his dog tag on my boutique on the wedding day. When I got the pictures back I started crying because I saw that Holly had caught the dog tag on my flowers and got several great pictures. That meant the world to me.

When planning a wedding, it can become overwhelming with all the decisions you suddenly have to start making. My wife and I decided that investing in a Photographer and Videographer was our top priority since we knew wedding days can fly by in a blink of an eye, we didn’t want to miss one moment! We wanted experienced professionals to capture all of the special moments for everlasting memories to reflect upon. After reviewing Holly and Mat Sutor’s portfolio at Sutography, we were so impressed with the quality, beauty, and creativity that this married dynamic duo brings to the photography and videography industry! The first time we met Holly and Mat was during our engagement photoshoot where they made us feel so comfortable with the entire process. Holly was amazing directing us while taking photos and clearly communicating what we should be doing while also asking for our insight. Mat has such a unique way of capture video behind the scenes of not only using us as the focal point, but taking in consideration the surrounding sights, sounds, and environment. It was such an enjoyable experience that we were convinced that this was the perfect match for us heading into our wedding day.

Holly and Mat were very clear and proactive when it came to communicating the agenda and time schedule for us to follow on our wedding day. This was an enjoyable collaborative process because we were able to get their insight on time management from all of the prior weddings that have done prior. They were very punctual showing up to multiple locations and coordinating perfectly with our wedding planner. This made our special day very stress free since we were never blindsided by any unknown factors. Holly is full of positive energy and a fantastic photographer. She edited our photos to perfection and organized them in a manner that was easy to review digitally from our computer. As a skilled videographer, Mat was able to implement and edit such amazing details into our final video!

Holly and Mat were one of our best vendor decisions of our wedding!! There are so many decisions to made during the planning process, but my husband (fiancé at the time :)) felt instantly comfortable when we talked to Holly and Mat and shared what we were looking for in our wedding photography. They were flexible, accommodating, easy to talk to, organized and professional! I LOVED the Sutography Planning Workbook that Holly sent in order to get detailed information about the entire ceremony, timeline, our background/story, family, special requests, etc. It was very comforting knowing that Holly and Mat were organized and prepared, so I didn’t have to worry about any of those details. We did an engagement session with them as well and I would highly recommend that to anyone and everyone! First of all, we got a ton (over 300!) of amazing Save-the-Date photos out of it to send to all of our guests and we got to see how Holly and Mat work in action! We spent a few hours with them that afternoon and developed a friendship that I think enabled us to be even more prepared, excited and ready for our big wedding day pictures! It helped to get to know Holly and Mat before our big day so it eased any unnecessary stress. It was really fun to work with a couple who is so passionate about what they do! We received SO many beautiful images from our engagement sessions and wedding day (over 1,800!). They captured everything we could have imagined from our special day and more. Holly and Mat are both very detail oriented which I greatly appreciated. I especially noticed this characteristic with Holly as she would make sure my hair/bangs were just in the right place for a shot or my veil wouldn’t be flying awkwardly in the wind, etc. Holly ensured everything was perfect. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and our family and friends still praise our wedding photography to this day! Best decision ever :)

Me, my family and friends were BLESSED to have Sutography document our wedding day! The communication from day one met our needs and Holy never made us worry about one thing in preparation leading up to the big day. Prices were very reasonable and the outcome was great! When it came time to picking a photographer for our wedding, there was only one company that I knew we had to book, Sutography. I first met Holly and Mat back in 2008, when they photographed my brother’s wedding. The professionalism, excitement, and creativity blew me away. Then in 2013, I was fortunate to meet up with them again when they photographed my sister’s wedding. Just when I thought their work couldn’t get any better, they blew everyone’s expectations out of the water. Holly and Mat’s pictures were gorgeous.

I immediately called Holly when my husband and I got engaged in 2017; there was no one else I wanted to work with to document our big day. From day one, they ensured that all our questions are answered and made everything easy for us. All communications were answered in a timely manner. Their pre-wedding day survey allowed for us to make sure that we were getting every picture that we wanted. They even made our day of timeline, which was perfect and made everything run smoothly..

A week before the wedding, our city experienced some heavy rain with most of the area flooded. Holly and Mat worked with us to ensure we would be able to get pictures in the location that we wanted. They checked out other locations and came up with a perfect back up plan. On the day of the wedding, we were to experience heavy rain, they consistently checked the weather and were flexible.

They took over 1600 beautiful pictures of our wedding and we got to keep every one of them! Each and every single picture was gorgeous. To help make our wedding album, they had an easy to use to worksheet. It assisted us in picking the perfect photos for our album as well as our two parent books.

Sutography is everything that you need! My husband and I are so glad we worked with them!

INCREDIBLE! My wife and I are so glad that we hired Sutography as our engagement and wedding photographers. They went over and beyond in every category: beautiful photos, great communication, extremely professional.

It was really worth hiring highly experienced photographers because they were able to direct traffic at the wedding to make sure that we got all the photos that we needed in a timely manner. They really care about customizing their service to fit your needs by making sure that they capture every little detail that you want. They were extremely knowledgable and helpful in the preparation process to make sure everything went smooth on the big day.

Having 2 photographers was great because they were able to capture each moment from different angles and different lenses. If you want the very best wedding photographer in California, hire Sutography - Holly and Mat are beyond awesome! My husband and I are both thrilled with the incredible pictures they took at our wedding and the amazing album they created for us. Our album is so unique, dynamic, and full of love and happiness. It is a perfect memory of the best day of our lives.

They also think of everything. For example, I got married on a Saturday in July in La Jolla...talk about a potential traffic nightmare! They brainstormed multiple back up plans just in case an area might be too crowded for photo taking. On the day of, they were so fun to work with and made the entire wedding party feel at ease. They got as many shots as they could while ensuring we stuck to the timeline. Anyway, enough about how amazing they are with logistics. Their work is also incredible!!! We LOVE the variety and quality of our photos, and we LOVE being able to relive our wedding day with the full length video. Their work is truly priceless.

Holly and Mat are the best: easy to work with, personable, timely, AND they know what they're doing. I am incredibly glad we chose them as our engagement and wedding photographer/videographer. We hired Sutography to do both our engagement photos and wedding photos. It was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. Holly & Mat are so easy to work with and all of our pictures came out very beautiful and vibrant looking. They were very professional and knew exactly what needed to be done to get the best looking shots. Holly and Mat have been such a pleasure to work with. Their creativity and passion for their craft is immeasurable.

We chose a package that included an engagement session. They made the process so easy while incorporating everything we had to have. They work exceptionally well together and have their processes down. We had numerous people ask who did our engagement photo session. The pictures were phenomenal! We have yet to get the wedding pictures and video back, but based on the sneak peek we just received, I can only imagine they will be as amazing as the engagement session.

Don't waste your time calling anyone else. We called a ton of places and this is easily the best quality and they are very reasonably priced. My only regret is that I wish we had called Sutography first.

My husband and I booked Sutography for our wedding at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station. We fell in love with their gallery of highlight videos and knew that we wanted Mat and Holly to capture the moments of our special day. We love their cinematic style and the way they capture the atmosphere and energy of the day that makes the audience feel as if they were actually at the wedding.
From the start, Mat and, especially, Holly have been very responsive and professional and were exceptionally attentive to our wants and needs. They collaborated well with our photographer and wedding planner to capture all our wedding day moments and special requests. Wedding days can get a bit crazy with multiple things happening at the same time, but Mat and Holly have an amazing team approach which allows them to capture every detail (i.e., greeting our guests at each table during dinner).
We could not have asked for better videographers. They incorporated our song requests and edited our highlight and full-length videos. And we cannot be happier with how the videos turned out. I highly recommend Sutography to capture your next special moments!

We brought Holly & Mat all the way to Alaska to document a second child's wedding as a gift. We saw the first sample of their work with our daughter's wedding in San Diego and they were a must to do our son's wedding. This is the most important and valuable gift we could give as parents and family...so that's what we did. Worth every bit. They are unparalleled...unmatched anywhere. You will relive the day, the details, the moments, the excitement, the place, the intensity and the joyfulness every time you watch the video (DO get it!!) or see pictures. When you've been married 20 years, you'll show your kids...and watch again yourselves...and it will be wonderful all over again...they capture it live and so well...they are almost invisible sometimes...at the right times...and capture things you'll never know about unless they preserve them for you to see later. A priceless gift to give...to the bride and groom in our case...to yourselves if nothing else. My husband and I were married on 3/19/16 at Grand Tradition in Fallbrook. I found Holly and Mat on yelp, and I went to their website and was thoroughly impressed by the quality and creativity of their pictures and video. Then when I saw all their reviews, it was a no brainer.

Holly and Mat are amazing and they delivered a stunning set of memories that we will have for the rest of our lives. We wanted to be able to capture and re-live or wedding day, and to be able to pass those memories on to our children. They captured everything wonderfully. Beyond our expectations! We decided on the video and photography package and it's so great to see ourselves in the video. The wedding day can be such a blur, so being able to see everything from a new perspective is such a blessing.

Mat and Holly are the epitome of professionalism, they will do whatever is needed to make sure you have a product that is exquisite. We just had our destination wedding in SD (9/2015) and could not be more pleased with Holly and Mat. They provided first class service through the entire planning process all the way through our wedding. Destination weddings (I read) could be difficult to plan, but with them on my team, their knowledge, organization, and creative skills made my wedding. They are so easy to work with and quickly respond to the needs of their clients. As a bride, there are A LOT of needs, and I can say with 100% of me that ALL of them were met and the end product of what they delivered was beyond my expectations. There were so many options for photographers and videographers, but with all things considered they seemed to be the right choice! I will say, now that we have had our wedding, that Sutography was by far the best vendor choice that we made! Matt and Holly made us feel so comfortable! I really felt like I could make requests from her and she would take what I was hoping for and make it even better. She provides a very detailed spreadsheet from which she creates and even more detailed timeline. The information she asked for made me feel like she was interested in capturing the essence of our wedding as much as the people who celebrated it with us. Her and Matt were outstanding on our wedding day. All of my family and friends loved them and they were a joy to work with. We have had two other couples looking to use them so far and will continue to recommend them! I did a lot of research and found Sutography to be extremely reasonable priced; they are more than worth every penny. Most importantly, the photos are absolutely perfect. During the planning process we were across the country but Holly was able to coordinate everything through skype and email. We first met got into contact with Sutography in August 2014. We found them through yelp and had a face to face interview process with them. They are very professional and so easy to talk to. It's really great that Holly and Mat are a husband and wife team because they really understand each other's perspectives and artistry when they are shooting together. We hired them for our engagement shoot in September 2014 and our wedding photo and video coverage in May 2015. From the get go they understood exactly how we wanted our engagement photos and they delivered them to us beyond what we expect.Their editing is also such high quality. We were blown away when we saw the final product. They really take their time and effort to make sure all your images are of high quality.

For our wedding photos and video prep and planning began for that about 3 months before. Holly and Mat are very involved in the process. We were sent a detailed coverage questionnaire excel sheet to help with planning for our big day. If we had any questions while filling it out Holly was always so helpful and would send an immediate response. She created a detailed timeline for our wedding, one as a draft and she changed anything we wanted. During our wedding we definitely noticed Holly and Mat followed every single request. Our family and friends were really impressed with their professionalism and their energy throughout the day. When we received our wedding photos we were once again blown away at the quality and editing of the all the photos!

Sutography truly amazing! It was obvious right when I met them that they are dedicated and love what they do. We are so happy that we found them, they've been a complete blessing. Holly and Mat are so wonderful. I had absolutely no doubts that they would exceed our expectations after reading all of the YELP reviews before booking them for our event. If you are anything like me, you'll probably be nervous for a photo shoot unless you are just a natural. I'm great at taking selfies but taking direction from a photographer was nerve-wrecking for me. Holly made us feel so comfortable and really made sure we had the right posture, made sure our hair was always on point, and all 800+ photos from our event came out so great. We hired both Holly and Mat for photography and videography. They captured everything we wanted in our photos and made us the most amazing highlight video which I highly recommend. We had 6 amazing hours with Sutography and they managed to capture every important detail of our wedding and they always remained so patient in giving us direction and poses for fabulous pictures. Holly has such a true passion for photography and it will shine in your photos. Our event happened over 4 months ago and our friends and family still talk about what an amazing job they did and how well they captured everything. The high light video that Mat did was edited so well and the video was so classy. We are so glad we decided to get the highlight video. We will have these memories forever. I had a destinations wedding so I was only able to talk to Holly by phone before my wedding day. She asked all the right questions to be perfectly prepared for my day, she knew all of our parents by name that was a nice touch.
Holly and Mat did a wonderful job capturing every last detail of our wedding, they are an amazing team.
For picture time we were outside on the beach and Holly did amazing working people making sure that no one was casting shadows on our dresses before taking each shot and she did very good remembering all the pictures that I wanted with different group. After the wedding my dad said those two really knew what they were doing.
When we got our pictures back a month later we were soooo excited at how great they looked.
Also the videos were awesome. As soon as we got it in the mail we watched it to relive our day and both my husband and I were so excited to see everything come together and see the parts that we missed the day of. He was especially happy to see my getting ready part of the video.
Also these are the best prices in the area but their talent goes far above what they charge for both photographer and videographer and they work very well together. I am soooo happy I choose them for the price I paid I got over 800 photos and a highlight video and a full length hour long video. One of the best decisions I made for the wedding because the photos are what last over time and the video is just priceless.
If you are looking for a great team you should choose these two to document you day and you will be thrilled with the results.

When hiring a vendor, the most important one to us was our photographer. I knew a couple people who had hired Sutography and, when I met them, I understood why. I never had to micro-manage them through the process like I did with other vendors....they were always way ahead of me and not only made sure I got what I wanted from my photos/videos but that I knew what to expect and had all the advice/guidance I needed. Holly's extreme organization and experience came in particularly handy during my wedding when it turned out that my day-of coordinator sucked and she basically had to step in to do quite a bit of that person's job. She honestly saved my wedding, still got the photos I wanted and pulled it all off gracefully. Weddings are too stressful not to have vendors you can trust 100 percent and Sutography is one of those vendors you can trust.

Holly and Mat did our engagement shoot and were also our photographer and videographer for our wedding, plus designed our wedding album. Holly and Mat provided photography for our wedding and also our engagement session. We were so pleased with the photos, and also the printed albums. Holly and Mat edited our photos just enough that they look perfect - not overly photo shopped. In my profession, I work frequently in art programs so I can appreciate their level of precision and creativity. They are also easy to work with, and made us feel comfortable right away. My husband does not like taking pictures, so I felt that Holly and Mat were the ideal match for us. I actually interviewed more than 10 wedding photographers to make sure that the photographer’s personalities would be a good fit for us! Holly really likes to work for great shots. She’ll often slide onto the ground or jump up somewhere high to get a good photo. I was also really impressed with Holly’s ‘crowd management’ skills. We wanted traditional photos with various family members, so she had to get everyone organized and follow a very detailed request list that we had put together. We are so thankful to have found Holly/Mat for our wedding photography. I would highly recommend using them if you are getting married in San Diego!

Found Stuography on yelp and used them for our engagement session. We choose Sutography based on website, budget and Holly! Meeting and working with Holly was an absolute pleasure. She is warm, friendly and extremely professional, but also made you have fun. She has a lot of energy and is always positive. Towards the end of our engagement session we felt we had made a new friend and parted with a hug. After our engagement session we knew we wanted her for our wedding before we even saw our photos, once we saw our photos it was confirmed we made the right choice.

Holly went above and beyond for us, she was a huge help during the wedding planning process and helped schedule our day. I was having trouble coordinating time and vendors and she sent me a schedule that kind of stuck and worked flawlessly. The day of the wedding she greeted everyone with her radiant charm and gave me a big hug. Holly was mostly unseen, but was always there, she was never more then a few feet away getting those perfect shots, but gave me enough space for those special moments with my family and friends. My husband and I got married outside during a heat wave and Holly was a champ running around and diving to the ground to get that perfect angle, all with a smile on her face. Holly is easy and fun to work with and made us feel very comfortable and confident on a day that can be a little intimidating. She has an eye for a great image and just about every photo, which was a lot, came out perfect. Holly has a lot of passion for what she does and cares about the people she works with. We couldn't be happier with all our photos and our whole experience with Sutography and Holly, our friends and family involved in our day also felt the same way. Holly is incredibly talented, professional, funny and sweet and exceeded all our expectations. I will absolutely use Sutography again in the future.

Holly and Mat are amazing photographers. They were dedicated to making sure they got all the shots that we wanted, even the difficult ones. They knew all of our family members by their first names, which made the family photos so much easier than I expected. We absolutely loved seeing the photos bring our wedding back to life and tell the story of our wedding day. My husband knew Holly previously and suggested we use her and her husband Mat for our wedding photos. I'm so glad we did! We also got engagement photos with them, and they were amazing. Being that my wedding was in San Diego and I live in Arizona, I spent many hours searching online for the best photographer/videographer that would fit into my price-range and personality just perfectly. I came across Sutography on wedding wire and inquired about their services. I immediately received a pleasant/personable email back from Holly (photographer) and knew from that point on, she and her husband, Mat (videographer) would be the perfect fit for us. Holly & Mat were great to work with! We had an amazing engagement session using both Holly & Mat as photographers, and then for the wedding we switched Mat over to videographer! We were in luck too; they were training two more staff members so we had 2 extra photographers at our wedding! They were all super friendly and non-obtrusive... I didn't even notice they were there for the most part but they still managed to capture every moment!

Our photos are great & our video makes me tear up (with joy!) almost every time I watch it... which is pretty much every day because I want to relive that day over & over again!

We met with Holly & Mat in April of this year to plan our destination wedding in La Jolla. We interviewed three photographer's before making our final decision. We knew from our first meeting with Holly & Mat that were the photographers for us! They were extremely professional, organized and their work was amazing. Since we are from Michigan, the majority of our communication (after our initial face-to-face meeeting) was conducted by e-mail and over the phone. Holly and Mat photographed our wedding last year and they were simply awesome. They also did an amazing engagement photo session at Balboa Park, and designed gorgeous albums with our engagement photos (which we used partially as a guest book at the reception), and a really cool album with our wedding photos which sits on our coffee table and is always met with "oohs and aahs." They designed two smaller albums which we gave to our mothers for the holidays--huge hits (and elictied a few tears of joy too!)

Being a team of two, Holly and Mat capture all the moments--from various angles. It's like reliving the experience all over again when we look at our photos. They are both down to earth, nice people, but also organized and know how to get the job done (and corral crazy relatives who you may have in some of your family shots;) ) In advance of the big day, Holly helped me come up with the categories of shots and she developed a time line, that ensured everything moved smooth and all the specific photos I wanted were included. I highly recommend them! In fact, we're hoping they will do photos for the birth announcement for our son due next month;)

Holly and Mat were fantastic. They started by taking us to Balboa Park for our engagement photos. All of the shots were great. They both have a great eye for artistic shots, lighting, etc... They captured an unbelievable shot of us in front of the fountain after the sun went down.
Our wedding was at the Bali Hai in Point Loma. Holly worked together with us to time out the entire day so there was no stress. They arrived early to photograph Lori while she was getting ready and arranged to meet me by a cool statue by the water. We decided to do most of our pictures before the ceremony because we wanted to spend as much time as we could celebrating with our friends and family. The great thing was that Holly was able to create an event that was similar to watching my bride walk down the aisle. It was still very special seeing my bride walk down the aisle, but the meeting beforehand will also be remembered for the rest of our lives.
The wedding was a whirlwind and most of the time we didn't even realize they were taking pictures...which I thought was great. We didn't want to be pulled away from having a good time to constantly take pictures. They were able to maintain a great balance. The feedback from our guests was great. Everyone loved the photographers!
The end result was more than we could of hoped for. The photos of us were great along with excellent photos of our friends and family. The album that they designed will be cherished for years to come. We highly recommend their services. Thanks Holly and Matt!

We used Holly and Mat for our August 14, 2010 wedding. They are awesome photographers and not to mention, very genuine people!!! It was such a pleasure to work with them through the whole wedding process. They both went above and beyond anything we’d expected!

My husband and I met with them and were instantly attracted to their down to earth personalities. They were so accomidating during the whole process. We had our engagement pictures done and were so happy with how comfortable we felt with them.

A week before the wedding I spoke with Holly and she made me feel extremely at ease about the timeline of photos before, after, and during the wedding. At a time that is usually so stressful for a bride, Holly knew exactly what she was doing and made sure to take care of all the small details for me.

On the day of th wedding both she and Mat were PHENOMENAL. Holly knew exactly was she was doing. She was so organized and most of all quick and efficient....especially during pain in the butt family group photos. They were both friendly, fun and made sure to get everyone engaged!

Holly and Mat were really just unbelievably great to work with. They were extremely responsive, professional, and most importantly excellent photographers.

Any inquiry before, during, and after the wedding was handled extremely promptly.They treat you with the same respect before, during, and after the wedding which I really enjoyed. Any question or concern I had was answered and/or resolved within a day.

The Sutors were also extremely professional, this really helped set the tone for the day. They knew where and when to get photos to really capture quality shots. I also really liked the fact they were open to suggestion and were willing to accommodate certain shots should you request them. I liked the fact that they were artistic but didn't have an aloof attitude about them, they went above and beyond to make us happy with no questions asked.

Most important they were excellent photographers and extremely talented at their art. I really cant explain how happy we were with their photos, they came out better than we could have wished. The captured every moment of the wedding and nothing slipped by. They did a perfect amount of different styles, posed, candid, artistic, they covered all the bases perfectly.

Having two photographers was great as well, really helped capture shots from different angles and guarantee great photos.

I really cant recommend them highly enough as they were just great to work with and did a great job documenting our wedding.

I would highly recommend Holly & Mat. They did a phenomenal job. I'm still waiting for the album but I'm not concerned one bit because I know they're going to do an amazing job. Holly was so good on the day of the wedding. I was so nervous and she helped me get comfortable when she was taking pictures. There were a couple of times she had to remind me I was getting married and it was a happy day which helped me smile and stay focus. You will feel extremely comfortable with Holly & Mat. They are a great team.

You wont be dissapointed with Sutography! Not only are they incredibly talented but they are the nicest people you will meet. Hiring Matt and Holly was probably the best thing we did for our wedding because now we have the most gorgeous pictures for the rest of our lives that we can look back on. We had the hardest time choosing 200 pictures out of 1500...yes thats right they took 1500 pictures...for our album. Each picture was such a difficult decision because for every picture we chose there were 20 others we loved just as much!
Do your self a favor and hire them because it will be one of the best decisions you make!

Thank you Sutography! We hired Sutography to photograph our March 2010 wedding and couldn't be more pleased with our decision. From start to finish, they were pros. My husband and I interviewed several photographers and finally chose Holly and Mat because we liked the idea of working with a husband and wife team. We also felt that they were far and above the best value for the cost.

On the big day, Holly and Mat did an amazing job of keeping the day running smoothly all while getting amazing photos. They managed to get the shots they needed and corral our friends, family, and curious pedestrians all while being a pleasure to work with. I also appreciated how quickly they managed to capture all of the posed shots. Post-ceremony the wedding party was ready to have fun so we were thrilled when they actually finished photos early and we had time to enjoy some of cocktail hour.

When we got the photos back (in a very timely manner I might add!), we were reminded again of how happy we were with our choice. Holly and Mat managed to catch the best moments of our wedding and also took some of the most beautiful posed shots I have ever seen. They also had great insight into locations around San Diego that would be good for photos.

We truly could not be happier with our decision to work with Holly and Mat. They were our favorite of all the vendors we chose and our friends and family also couldn't stop raving about them. Your wedding day is in good hands with these two!

I was MORE than pleased with the service and products Sutography offered. It is truly hard for me to put into words how perfect our wedding moments were captured. I would recommend that EVERYONE book with these incredible photographers as quickly as you can because with the talent and skill they provide....you don't want to miss out! Picking a photographer for our wedding was so important to us, just because we had heard so many horror stories from family and friends when it came to their wedding photographers. Sutography was an answer to prayer and more than we could have ever asked for.
To begin, we were planning a San Diego wedding from Washington state. Mat and Holly agreed to do a consultation with us via webcam. We loved them immediately! Our decision was easy to use them as our photographer. Through the months leading to the wedding, Holly always responded to my emails within 24 hours if not sooner!
Since we were so far away, my husband and I were going to opt out of the engagement session that is included in Sutography's wedding packages. However, Sutography was so flexible with our schedule and arranged for a session with us the week of our wedding and I am so glad we did it! Mat and Holly made us so comfortable and were so easy and fun to work with, not to mention I will treasure the experience of that day and the pictures forever.
For what they put into each event, the time, the planning, the consulting...you get more than you paid for!
If at all possible, I will use them for any professional photography we need in the future...even if that means a trip to CA to do so! They are worth it!

The photos turned out better than i could have imagined! They were directive when necessary and blended into the background when necessary. Our pictures came back quickly and they were so professional!

Holly and Mat were great to work with! They were very flexible and accomodating to my wedding day needs, which made me confident and relaxed with my choice to have them as my wedding day photographers. Their finished product was artistic, professional and done in a timely manner. I especially appreciated the fact that they made my husband and I feel comfortable during our shoots, as well as make sure that they caputured all of our important momemts. Holly and Matt are so great to work with! She did my sister's wedding, my wedding and is now doing my step-sisters wedding. They are such a pleasure to work with, very organized, understand the process, and have the most beautiful end product. I also love the way they organize the photos on their website making it so easy to navigate through all of them.

I am very satisfied with Sutography. Holly and Mat are great to work with and most importantly, the pictures are AMAZING! I love the pictures from my wedding, but the pictures from other weddings on their website are also very impressive. Holly's high energy and Mat's gentle personality works out very well. Plus, they continue to work with you after the wedding for the album and other services. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them. I strongly recommend them to any couple!
