Everything and more.

Susan and her staff were the most professional crew I could have asked for on my wedding day. They captured so many amazing shots and moments, it was honestly hard to choose what we wanted in our album! We received our album and I’m beyond blown away. No need for a videographer when you have this beautiful book to easily look at whenever you want to reminisce about our magical day. If I could do it all over I would, and the only team I would ever trust is Susan and her staff!

The Best in the Business!

I was fortunate enough to have Susan and Leah shoot my wedding at Hotel Du Village on November 25th, 2017. The pictures are breath taking - they captured every moment both indoors, outdoors, - the smoke bomb pictures in the field are magazine worthy. My husband and I are forever grateful to them for their artistry. While your wedding may be one day- your pictures last a lifetime - do not settle for anyone but the best and they are THE BEST!

Exceptional in every way

Leah was the photographer at our 50th wedding anniversary/vow renewal and she was fabulous. From the first meeting I knew we were in excellent hands. She was professional, knowledgeable, in complete control on the day and was able to keep me relaxed at the same time...not an easy feat! She also made me feel like I was her best friend. She listened to our requests and fulfilled them. THE BEST!!

Philly’s finest!

Erika and Susan are the best. Both our engagement and wedding pictures came out stunning. I wanted an urban/funky/casual engagement shoot which they more than delivered! and then we had a tented wedding outside at the Water Works Fairmount Park- the pictures beyond exceeded our expectations. The way they shoot is just the absolute perfect mix of natural, fun, creative and breathtaking really. They capture truly candid moments you will treasure forever and manage to make the posed pictures look so natural and flawless. I love both creative artsy pictures as well as classic timeless and they excel in both areas. They are also so much fun themselves and just so easy to be around. On a day that can be super stressful- and I’ve witnessed photographers contributing or creating stress for the bride - Susan and Erika are so relaxed but also make sure to get all the pictures you wanted and more. They are a pleasure to work with and they will tell your love story so beautifully.

Fantastic! Dream Team!

Susan Beard and Erika Schoof were a dream team! Our wedding photos and album came out better than I could have ever imagined. Not only did they capture all the classic shots, they also captured the candid moments in photos I will cherish forever.

Wedding Photography

Susan and her team were fabulous. Very responsive and accommodating. They captured great photos -- without us even recognizing that they were there. They were helpful after the wedding as well, working closely with us to create our album. We would highly recommend Susan.

Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Susan and Erica captured the whole feeling of our wedding, beautifully, artistically, and professionally. The quality of the pictures is uniformly superb. Every time we look at them, we feel transported back to the way we felt that day.

We were so, so happy with Susan and Erika -- in advance of the wedding, during the wedding day, and afterwards. We just got our pictures back, and they are utterly gorgeous. I have no idea how we'll ever pick our favorites for our album!

Our photographer, Michael Tolbert, was also the photographer at my in-laws' wedding a few years ago. They were very pleased with their photos, and even nicer, he still remembered them, so I have no doubt we'll be thrilled with our photos. We haven't gotten our photos back, of course (our wedding was a week ago). He was professional, he was flexible, which was helpful given the cold weather that morning. He thought of different poses. At the reception, he was there when people were dancing, and when we "cut" the cake without any fanfare. We highly recommend him.

We used Julia Lehman who worked for this photogapher and she was wonderful. She brought a journalistic feel to our event and really helped us tell the story with photos. She was also awesome with my huge family and all the special photo requests.

I loved working with Leah and Erika from Susan Beard Design for my wedding! My main photographer was Leah, and she shot our engagement photos and held meetings with me in the year leading up to my wedding. She offered a lot of great ideas and insight into specific shots and locations to use for our wedding and engagement shoot. It was nice to have that kind of expertise. Erika was my second photographer that was there the day of my wedding and also helped in the editing process afterwards. They were both such a pleasure to work with. I picked Leah as I was looking for some untraditional shots and not your typical cheesy wedding photos and she definitely did that. Also, they were able to roll with the punches when we were running behind schedule and couldn't make it to one of our shot locations the day of our wedding. I just got back my photos and they are so beautiful and there are so many of them! I would highly recommend Leah, Erika and the Susan Beard team for wedding photography. They are on the higher end of wedding photography in terms of cost, but if there is one thing you splurge for you should make it your photographer.
