The Superstition Manor was the first venue we toured in our planning process, and it was the venue we kept comparing every other location to. It was incomparable for pricing details, value, service and the overall grounds. Upon initial contract reviews we even stated that we had a specific budget in mind and they were willing to work with our comfort levels! Having that family owned business aspect makes the manor feel like you are just that while planning, family.
We selected the Barn, which is a newly built gem that sits behind the original manor - it is truly stunning and was equipped with everything we could have envisioned for our big day. General FYI's include: Food is catered through the venue and there is a multitude of selections you can choose from to the build plates you would like to see on your wedding. Liquor is also offered and managed on site, depending on which beverage plan you have selected. The venue offers "preferred" vendors for select services, which typically include discounted rates which is really great. All of the necessities are included such as - tables, chairs, table settings, linens and decorative items for the ceremony & reception. And there are PLENTY of options to cater to any couple's style. Parking and space is no issue but a few of our guests did have a little trouble ordering ubers because of the location so please encourage them to pre-book their ride shares!
Finally, to Bri - our coordinator. Words cannot explain how thankful we were to have such a diligent, friendly, dedicated and sweet person by our side during this process. From our planning meetings leading up to the very last step on wedding day, Bri made us feel so incredibly well taken care of that we had absolutely no worries on our wedding day. I am personally an over planner and had big dreams for my big day, but Bri made me feel as if no question was too crazy and no task was out of reach. To say the least, everything that I had envisioned for my wedding was executed flawlessly and every detail (big or small) was delicately placed or handled exactly as I had hoped. Our family and friends were very impressed by her willingness to assist, answer questions or just simply be the supporting figure we needed. Thank you, Bri! -The Hansings -

We got married here last week at The Barn and couldn’t be happier with how our day turned out. Our wedding coordinator was Krystin and she executed our vision exactly!! She was so responsive throughout the entire process. From booking to day of, she always responded to my texts quickly and was organized, professional, kind, and patient when I wanted to change things!! The timeline spot on as well regarding dinner service which I was worried about because we had a larger wedding and didn’t want people to wait around/be bored. The large bridal suites are GREAT and we loved that we were able to be there the entire day. The guys had a blast with the poker table and ping pong. Everyone keeps telling us how great our venue/overall wedding was and we are SOOO glad we booked The Barn at Superstition Manor. -

Everyone at Superstition Manor was able to make our wedding dreams come true! We loved working with Shayla throughout the entire process. Everything from the food tasting, to the decor design day, to the week leading up was incredibly organized and so fun. Having someone like Shayla really helped take a lot of the stress off of wedding planning. We could not have asked for a more perfect team to carry out such a magical day💕 Highly recommend booking your wedding with this team!!! -

Wedding to Remember with Mountains as the backdrop!
Delaney and the whole Superstition Manor team were so amazing for our wedding day in May. The venue was affordable too, compared to so many others! Delaney was there with us along the way for our planning our wedding - and always available to answer my hundreds of questions, and always so eager to help! She ensured I didn't need to worry about the details on the wedding day, as that was her job. Delaney did all the decorating, and she has such amazing style. I showed her pictures of what I wanted, and she made it came to life. And we could borrow and use all of their decor, as that's part of the package! It was awesome that we didn't have to buy all that wedding stuff to use just for one day. So while we customized some things to make it our own, she went above and beyond to make our wedding what it was. It ran so smoothly, the food and drinks were amazing, the guests had SO much fun, and it really couldn't have been more perfect. The views at this venue are incredible, and the staff were all so happy and helpful. You can tell they love their jobs here. I would hands-down recommend them for a wedding. Thank you for everything, Delaney and SM team!!! We will forever remember our best day ever! -

Just perfect
Superstition Manor was the PERFECT venue for our wedding on 12.30.2022. Delaney took amazing care of us starting from our booking a year prior. Her communication, organization, and execution is UNMATCHED. I highly recommend using this venue, our wedding was just perfect! -

I am to the moon for finding this gem! If your looking for a desert setting wedding this is the place. The minute I got out of the car I was in love with this place. I chose the Barn. Is tucked in the back but that portion of the property is a little more secluded than the other portion of this venue. They have their own reception decorations that you get to choose from. They have a vendor list they provide and if you use one of the vendors from the list you most likely will get a discount from that vendor. They are an amazing team and can't wait to have my wedding there. -

Amazing venue!
We had our wedding here in February of 2021 and the coordinators and staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Kacey and Elizabeth were both amazing coordinators that did so much for our special day. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and staff to work with! -

There is not a better venue you could pick in Arizona. Lisa made my dreams come true with this wedding, and she put everything together in a MONTH! Our original wedding plans fell through, and I honestly believe it’s because God knew that I needed Lisa Burns and superstition manor to put my wedding together. She made sure I had everything I could wish for, and it was no stress on me at all. I couldn’t be more thankful for Lisa, her husband, and their whole team. I wanted a grazing table and charcuterie boards, and although they had never done them, she threw it all together flawlessly!! I will forever treasure Lisa and what she did for me during the season of our wedding planning. The facilities are beautiful, the staff is so helpful, and they really makes you feel safe and at home. 11/10 will recommend superstition manor to anyone I know getting married in the future. -

It's almost been a year since my wedding and my family still raves about how amazing the venue was-it was spacious (we rented out the whole thing, which I recommend if you have over 150 guests so you don't have to worry about crossing paths with another wedding party), the service was great and they had everything you could want! They have so many different decorations, cloths in every color and tons of food choices for the big day. Our wedding coordinator, Elizabeth, was the absolute BEST. She was very personable, knowledgeable, helpful and took care of us from start to finish. She was so dependable, and responded back to my questions so quickly, no matter how late or early in the day it was. I literally don't know how she did it. She recommended the best vendors (go with their suggested DJ and cake people; they were fantastic). At one point in the wedding, I saw her army-crawling behind the head table because she didn't want to be in the pictures. She was a literal superhero. Superstition Manor is a beautiful venue with a lovely view of the Superstition Mountains; we really didn't have any trouble with road noise at all, and the grounds have a TON of places for taking pictures. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants an amazing experience, a deserty-manor venue with all the fixings. Felt very taken care of. -

We had our wedding on June 1, 2019 and to say that it was perfect as an understatement I wouldn’t change a thing about it everything was beyond what I ever imagined in my perfect wedding would be!! And the one person that I can think for that to start with is our wedding coordinator who was Elizabeth Wright. She went above and beyond what she had to to assure her that everything was running smoothly even as much as running around trying to find my shoes just to make sure I had them on for the perfect wedding photos!!! The venue was amazing the location is amazing our wonderful wedding coordinator was so much fun to work with and gave us the best wedding I could ever ask for thank you so much Elizabeth and superstition Manor for all you did in creating the wedding of our dreams !!! -

Absolutely beautiful Tuscan wedding venue! Our wedding coordinator, Rebecca, saw that everything went like clockwork and that the wedding party's every need was met. The owners, John & Lisa, made sure the bride and groom had exactly the wedding they dreamed of...we could not have been happier with the venue or the service!!! -

Everything about our experience with Superstition Manor was amazing. I couldn't imagine not getting married at this wonderful venue. My fiance and I first took a tour of S.M., to which the employees there were very responsive and informative. Once we decided to choose this venue for our wedding, we were given our wedding coordinator, Rebecca. SHE WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST AND I CANNOT EXPRESS THAT ENOUGH! She helped us with everything. Food, decor, logistics, etc. We had live music at our wedding, and she was able to help them get the information they needed to set up their equipment. We told her we were doing a sparkler send off, and she provided a way to ignite and extinguish them. Every little thing that popped up throughout the wedding day, she took care of immediately. She was very friendly, helpful, sweet, efficient, quick, etc. The venue was beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. My guests absolutely LOVED the location. The food was phenomenal. EVERY SINGLE THING ABOUT THIS VENUE AND ITS STAFF IS A 10/10! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had the best night of my life, all thanks to them. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! -

My husband and I couldn't have found a more perfect wedding venue for our big day. Superstition Manor's all inclusive packages made it possible for us to have our dream wedding within our budget. Elizabeth Wright was our event coordinator and truly went above and beyond to make sure every decoration was in place, every vendor was where they needed to be, and every family member was happy. This was the first venue we toured and the only venue that allowed us to spend the entire day at the venue getting ready and celebrating. I have received countless compliments on how beautiful our ceremony and reception was and I have Superstition Manor and Elizabeth to thank. I recommend this venue to anyone getting married or celebrating a special occasion. They made the entire process as stress free as possible. Growing up in Arizona, I can't think of a better backdrop than the superstition mountains. -

Hansa Sent on 12/29/2017Cara was our coordinator and she made this review 5/5! She was incredible. The only issue we had was that dinner was delayed due to some issue in the kitchen. Aside from that, our 14-month engagement while planning this wedding gave us plenty of time to work with Cara and Superstition Manor to make the day go smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about decorations or anything; SM had absolutely everything!

Rachel Sent on 12/09/2017Superstition Manor is a beautiful venue! A great view was A MUST for whichever venue we chose. The second we found Superstition Manor, we knew it was where we wanted to get married.
We had Cara as a coordinator, and she was amazing! She was very flexible and accommodating with last minute changes we wanted to make.
On the night of our rehearsal dinner, Cara helped our wedding party with the flow of the ceremony. We got to practice with and without our music choices. While Cara's crew worked on setting up our tables and decorations, she checked in with us to make sure everything was up to our expectations.
On the day of our wedding, Cara was fabulous! She was there whenever we needed her and she helped all of our vendors get set up.
We had the south hall, which was beautiful. It's the smaller of the two halls, and with about 130 people it was a little tight (We were warned but didn't listen...), but Cara organized everything brilliantly! We had a perfectly-sized dance floor, and with the bar on the cocktail patio and the dessert table near the photo booth, our guests had plenty of space for fun! Having the bar on the cocktail patio with the doors open was amazing! It was nice to step outside to get some fresh air and a drink between dances!
For food, we had the apple-crusted pork and chicken breast with veggies. We never expected to choose pork as one of our entrees but once we tried it, we had to have it.
Another reason why we loved this venue so much is the space upstairs that we used to get ready. The groom's room has multiple TVs, a pool table, darts, among other things to occupy their time while the girls get ready. The bride's room had large mirrors and comfortable furniture to use while we got ready. Being able to get ready and have the ceremony and reception all in one place made the day so easy!
We would recommend Cara at Superstition Manor to anyone!

Their list of preferred vendors was a huge help and made the planning very simple. We loved how everything turned out on our wedding day and highly recommend this venue! The food was also just as amazing! We couldn't have had a better venue for our special day! -

To start off with- the bride & grooms suites are amazing! so big and have everything you could need on your big day. They have so many stocked decor items for you to choose from. They set up EVERYTHING for you on the big day. I didn't have to worry about anything on the day of because Lisa and her team took care of it all. They made our day very stress free. Nothing bad to say about this place. They gave us our perfect wedding day, and for that, we cannot thank John & Lisa enough.

Before booking - read this review!
Don’t be fooled by the awards and accolades this event space claims to have won. Sure, it is a pretty venue and seems to be reasonably priced, but so are many other event spaces in the greater Mesa/Phoenix area. Read the contract you are about to sign and review past testimonials. After what my fiancé and I went through this summer, I would not recommend Superstition Manor to anyone.
The early communication with our event coordinator, Rebecca was good. She was responsive and answered our questions promptly. Since this was a destination wedding, Rebecca helped us with the decor ideas by sending us photos of different options and us making the selections. Everything was going smoothly until Covid hit.
Our original ceremony date was June 19th. This was just weeks after the entire country experienced a mandator lockdown of some capacity. Our home state of Wisconsin, was still partially shut down and Covid infections were still on the rise. Many states had a social distancing policy and indoor gatherings were limited to 10 individuals or less. Many experts predicted that we would not have a vaccine by the end of 2020 and due to the contagious nature of the virus, it wouldn’t go away on its own. With all this going on, my fiancé and I had to put the safety of our friends and family before our desires to get married. Traveling out of state and by plane was a danger to our well being and a risk we were not willing to take.
After being completely transparent with Rebecca and the venue owner, John Burns about our reservations with proceeding with our ceremony in light of a pandemic, we were given two options. Option 1, we could reschedule, but it had to be within 2020 and option 2, we could cancel, but we would not be given a refund. Keep in mind at this point, we had already paid thousands of dollars towards the wedding contract. This is the lack of compassion we were greeted with in an already horrible situation. Based on this and listening to the health experts, we decided that our only option was to cancel.
Fast forward to today, where we have not been shown any empathy by the venue or any of its staff. We paid $3,000 for a ceremony that never took place, food that was never eaten, and services never rendered. We understand businesses have contracts and policies to protect themselves and under normal circumstances, agree with these policies. However at present time we are in a global pandemic. The government has provided small businesses with aid packages to support them during these uncertain times. There is no need for the business to pray on and take advantage of soon to be husband and wives. A wedding should be a magical experience, not a moment in time that you regret. I strongly regret our decision for entering into contract with John and Superstition Manor. This business only cares about making money regardless of the situation. Fellow grooms and brides look elsewhere.
