My husband and I could not recommend this venue enough. We recently got married there and did a weekend package that included lodging as well. Julie and Richard who run the venue are true professionals and know how orchestrate the whole weekend ensuring a perfect wedding day. They are very communicative and kind. We also had an incident with my grandpa who has diabetes and he ended up having a low blood sugar episode. They acted immediately making sure he got the care he needed to recover and enjoy the rest of the night. Which allowed us to continue with our wedding day knowing he was in great hands. Along with incredible staff the property is breathtaking. I truly believe the pictures online don’t do property justice. If you love the country you will love this venue.

She is very kind, incredibly attentive, and truly invested in making our day everything we dreamed of. Her calm, friendly energy made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free.

You can tell they truly care about their couples and take pride in the details. We felt supported, celebrated, and completely at ease from start to finish.

Truly our dream wedding and all staff members were so nice and welcoming! They have a decor barn full of decoration to use on your big day - a big lodge for 20 people to stay in and they offer shuttles to and from places! Would recommend everyone have their wedding here! Especially when the wildflowers in front of the chapel are in bloom because it’s beautiful and there are so many butterflies!!

From the moment we arrived on Friday, Julie and Richard went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were right there helping with decorations, answering every question we had, and just being the most supportive, welcoming hosts.
Our wedding day was absolutely flawless. I truly couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect day. Their property is beyond beautiful—every single corner, from the charming chapel and stunning barn to the cozy house, is so well taken care of and filled with love. You can tell how much pride they take in what they do, and it shows in every detail.

Our wedding ceremony, October 26, 2024, was truly a fairy tale in the making! This place is absolutely gorgeous with all the rustic vibes, feels, original country style decor and ambience. Nestled within the Daniel Boone National Forest, near the Red River Gorge, this hidden gem can be found. The entire property is stunning and laid out so well.

The venue itself is beautiful, meticulously up-kept and clean. The rustic feel and open concept of the reception barn, lodge and Chapel, made it the perfect space for us to decorate, personalize, and welcome our family and friends. The property allowed us to mingle easily with our guests while the acreage gave us space to get away, alone, for a few minutes as well as take some amazing photos. The natural wildflowers, which frame up the Chapel and walkway, are truly aesthetically pleasing and made my Pinterest board come to life. The facade of an almost abandoned, but rustic look/feel of the Chapel's main entrance, instantly drew me into wanting to book this venue!

The ceremony space was so picturesque as our family and friends were seated comfortably while watching us say our vows and I do’s along with the open-air concept of the Chapel itself which offered the utmost natural beauty backdrop of nature and wildflowers.

The sweet family who owns and runs the venue, are professional, organized, friendly and so welcoming and hospitable. Anytime I had a question, my emails were answered promptly with detailed information. Julie and her staff run this venue like a well-oiled machine to which I appreciate her Type A personality. She knows exactly to the minute, what needs to take place/happen and what will transpire into making your wedding day run as smoothly as possible. I encourage you to visit in person and take in the space. So much potential, charm and southern hospitality!

Julie and all of the staff at Sunset Ridge are incredible! They made our wedding weekend run so smooth and thought of every detail to make our wedding day incredible. We were able to reach Julie for any questions the entire weekend while onsite. Our family stayed onsite in the gorgeous lodge which was a perfect space for little kids and adults to stay and have plenty of room. Our wedding party and guests stayed in nearby AirBnB's. Once onsite, everyone was shuttled and transported with such ease for every moment of the weekend. Onsite is a barn full of antique decor that I used for basically all of my decorations. It made it so easy to not have to bring that with us or worry about buying just for one day. There is so much to choose from! This venue is and entire property is absolutely stunning and everything we wanted for our outdoor and intimate wedding!

This place is just amazing! Every detail of this place was breathtaking. Not only do you have a lodge to stay on Friday Saturday and Sunday but you also get the chapel and barn. Not to mention all the other extras that include 2 ponds and the amazing farm land. Julie, her husband and staff were just amazing and so helpful. They really went above and beyond to make my wedding weekend the best it could possibly be!

Absolutely beautiful venue! Chapel, reception barn and 3 story cabin all on the same property. Accommodated 23 of us staying in the cabin together. Julie and her husband and staff were amazing and helped with everything to make it run so smooth. Their suggestions were very helpful. All of the decor that they offer to use is amazing , so much to choose from. Highly recommend this venue. We had a perfect wedding there and everyone had a great time. We used 3 of the vendors that she also recommended. You can’t go wrong at this venue.

My fiance and I started the hunt for a venue just two weeks after getting engaged. With a wedding date more than a year away, we weren't in a rush, but we were eager to start the process. Suffice to say, all of the venue options, bridal shows and venue visits had us beyond overwhelmed. But then there was Julie.

We took the drive to Sunset Ridge Farms after meeting Julie, a warm and welcoming woman with an upbeat personality, at a bridal show. The instant we arrived on her property we were in awe. This isn't your typical wedding, you all. The property is 50+ acres surrounded by the most beautiful lush green trees. The venue is a weekend booking complete with a 18+ person lodge with the most GORGEOUS interior design AND a private swimming pool. There two gorgeous ponds, both with docks and fishing possibilities. There are hiking/walking 'trails' around the property, as well.

Why we chose Sunset Ridge Farms:
1. Aside from everything mentioned above, Julie and her husband are building an incredible open-air chapel with a unique vintage vibe (to be complete ASAP). Look up the Texas Gruene Estate wedding chapel and tell me you wouldn't want to get married under that magical thing straight from a fairy tale! They're also building it in the middle of this small field surrounded by green trees. It's going to be JAW-DROPPING. AND the barn on her property is huge, yet completely cozy at the same time. She's adding luxury bathrooms and a caterers kitchen to the site, as well (also to be completed ASAP). This is not your cookie-cutter barn. It's raw. It's elegant. It's a blank canvas you don't even need to paint. Forget all the decorations you'd have to pay an excess of money for - this barn is the decoration. Now, if you want to add some decorations, that's fine too, because this barn is only going to make them look better - not the other way around.

2. The Lodge is different from what others advertise. It's not an obviously lived-in home that's just slapped on the advertisement so they can charge you more. NO. It is a wooden castle built by Julie and her husband themselves. There's a surplus of rooms decorated to the tens (did I mention that Julie is a professional interior designer?) and comfortable beds that look like they're calling you to take a cozy nap right then and there. AND THE KITCHEN. I'm a chef wanna-be and I didn't want to leave that room. State-of-the-art equipment, copper sink, gigantic fridge, any cookware/cooking utensils/dinnerware you could ever need! Excuse me while I come back down from the clouds. She's even taken into consideration ADA ACCESSIBILITY and has an entire bathroom built for that. Not gonna lie, it was my favorite shower of the whole place - straight out of a magazine, y'all. Pool table, kid-friendly, three grills on site, grand piano (maybe it's a baby grand? idk. Not the point. PIANO), porch overlooking a gorgeous field, windows SURROUNDING the living room for an all-natural feel, exquisite design, impeccable decor. You do the math.

3. Julie. I've saved the best one for last. She was the first venue owner that I felt was viewing Joseph and I as 'Joseph and Emily' not 'the next potential client.' She had a immense passion that not one of the other vendors had. She was excited to share her property and, most of all, she was transparent. Every other vendor made us feel like we were being nickled and dimed to use their decor and services. Julie gives you one price - all-inclusive. She also has that comforting servant leadership mindset. She's willing to make our day special - whatever we want (within reason, guys, don't be butts) and she wants to do it with a smile on her face. She has answered my 1,000+ questions promptly and fully - as open and transparent as possible! I trust no one else with our wedding day.

So there you have it. 1,001 reasons why Sunset Ridge Farm is unparalleled. So, go on a tour - you'll fall in love.
