Couldn’t have asked for better

Dominic was amazing! He came with our Karl Strauss package so we were a little concerned at first to be honest. However, he was extremely responsive in the organizing stage and helped move the night along so wonderfully! He read the crowd well on the dance floor and played music accordingly. We were so happy with his service and would highly recommend him to anyone!

10/10 - Would recommend!

This review is long overdue! Dominic was awesome; he was very professional and personable! Our wedding was planned in under 3 months and he was very prompt with his communication. He offered to meet with us beforehand, but since we were limited on time and live in Orange County, we felt comfortable moving forward because all of our communication over email/phone was positive and timely. We really loved his platform that allows you to choose what you want played and when you want it played. It really made it easy and intuitive for us to pick the music. He also provides the option for DJ’s choice; you can just pick the genre that you want played. We did that for our cocktail hour and chose to have 40’s and 50’s hits and our guests complimented the choices that Dominic made. It blended well with the vibe that we were shooting for. He also transitioned well into our choices for the reception and was great over the mic when interacting with our guests. He made everything so easy for us that we did not need to be highly involved and we could enjoy the night with our guests!
The pricing was affordable and he has so much experience that you don't need to worry about telling him what needs to be done, he’s 5 steps ahead.

Excellent experience with Dominic!

Dominic did a wonderful job during our wedding last weekend. He was very professional, on time, he played all the songs we requested and songs requested from our guests. He was able to keep our event moving and on track throughout the evening. We also had a family member as an officiant and he helped get them set up with the mic and they had no issues during the ceremony. We also had up lighting included for our ceremony which made the outdoor venue look great at night. Dominic’s services were very affordable and we couldn’t ask for anything more!

Absolutely perfect!

I feel like I could write a whole novel about our DJ, Dominic, who was amazing from start to finish. He was the ONLY DJ we interviewed and we knew right away he would be perfect for our event. Not only is he affordable, but he was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. I planned my wedding all myself and he was awesome with helping with the timeline. We had no idea how to do entrances or where to stand for things (and these little things not only matter but cause stress) and Dominic with his easy nature and demeanor figured it all out leading it without a hitch. Our guests are still raving about him and his experience in the industry is evident by his seamless transitions, fun personality and absolutely perfect song choices. Our guests never left the dance floor and neither did I! Best DJ you could ever get your hands on!

Dominic was a great DJ to work with and have at our wedding! From the very start of working together, he was always quick to respond to emails and questions, making wedding planning so much less stressful. Dominic is great!!! He is professional, on-point and knows exactly what he is doing to help a special occasion special. He did such a wonderful job at our wedding and we are SO happy we chose to use him. Throughout the wedding planning he was very responsive, clear and helpful. Everything was such a smooth process with him especially as we were planning our wedding remotely. He has a great personality and fit right in with our wedding group as I believe he would with any wedding or other event. Loved Sunset Mobile Music!

Dominic with Sunset Mobile Music was wonderful! He played all the music that we requested and kept our wedding lively and fun! Our guests were on the dance floor until the very end of the night! Dominic was always very nice and professional and gave us everything we requested; i was even able to have a special audio clip played for my father daughter dance. Would definitely recommend Sunset Mobile Music!

Incredible DJ!

Dominic was an incredible DJ. He got the vibe we wanted right away and executed awesomely. The timeline was followed perfectly. Once dancing started the dance floor was never empty mostly because he knew exactly how to read the room. He was also a great MC that wasn't cheesy and was a great professional.

Dominic was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding! He came highly recommended by two different couples and that's when I knew I had to have him at my wedding! We got married in March at the Safari Park and I was glad to know that he had experience working with the park before. He was prompt with any and all responses before the wedding and really helped to relieve us (and my parents) of our stress. Their website allows you to pick the songs of specific moments in your wedding (precessional, bride's precessional, grand entrance song, cake cutting...etc), having the list top 20 picks of each moment was SO helpful. If we couldn't think of a song on our own, we could rely on that list and not stress. A few times I even said that I trust Dominic's judgement and he did not let me down! We had people dancing the ENTIRE night, including people that NEVER dance and the grandparents! He played a perfect mix of genres that kept everyone going and went with the flow so well.

Dominic's wife, Carolynn, is a wedding coordinator and we decided to go with both of them. I cannot stress how much every bride should have a month-of or at the very least, a day-of coordinator, specifically Carolynn. We only had access to the Safari Park 2-3 hours in advance so we knew we couldn't set up our decor on our own--Carolynn took care of everything! I can be a control freak and with my wedding, it was even worse. I was nervous the entire morning but when I got to the park and saw what a wonderful job she did, I immediately relaxed and could actually enjoy my wedding day! She took care of all of the stressful parts for me and ensured that the day ran smoothly, that we stayed on track for our timeline but also worked to allow for hiccups and unplanned moments.

I am so glad that we found both of them, they truly made our wedding day SO special!

DJ Dominic was fabulous! Sunset Mobile Music was a recommended vendor for our wedding at Bernardo Winery. When I called to get information, Dominic was so friendly on the phone and personally wanted to work our wedding because he LOVES Bernardo Winery. I knew this was the right guy for us. Planning our ceremony/reception music was so easy using the online platform. We met with Dominic to go over music choices and he lit up with enthusiasm and couldn't wait to get our wedding party started! Dominic was quick to reply to messages, all music requests, and even went the extra mile when we requested to have video added to the event at the last minute. Our wedding coordinator highly recommended Dominic to us for our wedding and we were so happy she did! He was so easy to work with and made changes to our song list as last minute as the day before the wedding. We so appreciated how he took charge announcing certain events without hesitation and added humor and fun to the night! Our guests loved him too!! Dominic was the DJ at a friend's wedding and as soon as we experienced his energy and the atmosphere he brought to their wedding, we knew we wanted the same for ours. I've been to COUNTLESS weddings and had never been overly impressed by a DJ until Dominic.

I expected his pricing to be on par with the rest of the industry, but was incredible relieved to find out he's not only talented, but he's super affordable for any budget (and flexible when it comes to customizing a package for your needs).

Dominic was a DREAM vendor - the fastest of any of my vendors to respond to emails, super warm and friendly, and 100% reliable. He showed up on time and I'm pretty sure stayed later than contracted. He genuinely loves what he does and it shows through his authentic enthusiasm.

His sound system was great quality and he had an easy online portal for us to request songs and add our do/do not play lists as well as any ceremony/reception notes.

I highly recommend hiring Dominic. I can't tell you how many compliments we got on the music at our wedding. My biggest fear was an empty dance floor, but there was never a moment where guests weren't out of their seats dancing.

This is one area of your wedding where you can save a little money, but won't have to worry about sacrificing quality whatsoever.

Sunset Mobile Music, owner Dominic Meyer, was the DJ for our November 20, 2017 wedding at The Bernardo Winery in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego. Dominic was extremely professional, personable and helpful throughout the process from the day of booking, up to the big day. He has a very detailed questionnaire which helps ensure the music and cadence of your wedding is met, which was extremely helpful especially since we had requested special music mixes for our processional and recessional songs.
Sunset Mobile Music supported the outdoor ceremony and outdoor cocktail hour perfectly to our requests and was very timely with song choices to keep the older crowd happy earlier while keeping the younger people on the floor for the entire evening. Also just as important the role of being DJ, is the dueling role of MC because he knows the flow of weddings from ceremony to last dance and everything in between, keeping the event on time and in accordance with out wedding venue arrangements. As the sun went down, the ambience at our outdoor reception, with twinkling white lights in the trees, were enhanced by stunning Burgundy uplighting that was also provided by Sunset Mobile Music. And let's not forget how beautiful the evening photos turned out! Our guests had nothing but complimentary words about our wedding music, entertainment and ambience. We highly recommend Dominic Meyer and Sunset Mobile Music to DJ & Mc your special wedding day or event.

My husband and I had the distinct pleasure of working with Dominic Meyer as our DJ for our January wedding! When we initially contacted Dominic, he made the point of meeting with us personally-driving from La Mesa to Carlsbad! He spent time getting to know us and our "story". Dominic's professionalism and enthusiasm for his work was immediately made evident and became contagious! After sharing our vision for our wedding reception celebration, we felt very comfortable and at ease with Dominic, signing a contract with him on the spot. Thereafter, Dominic worked closely with us-including meeting with us again, as we got closer to the date-he remained always very responsive to us whenever we had a question or request.

On the day of our wedding, we knew that our cocktail hour and reception would be just as we envisioned with a mood and ambiance created by the playlist we created, entrusted to Dominic and his exceptional talent. Dominic created an experience that prompted our guests to say that they had "such a great time and lots of fun" at the "best wedding they have been to"! Wow-thank you Dominic! What better compliment to give to a bride and groom who want to ensure that their wedding is a successful celebration! The success of our cocktail hour and wedding reception was dependent upon Dominic's orchestration of every moment and detail, and our guests did indeed, enjoy every moment, from cocktail hour, to dinner music, to dancing the night away up until the moment Dominic played his last song!

Dominic is a consummate professional who loves the work that he does. He shares in the joy of the celebration, and personally "works the room", ensuring that the guests are enjoying themselves. Dominic is the best wedding DJ I have seen in action, and I am so glad to have had him at our wedding. He was incredibly responsive to our questions and was sensitive to our pre-wedding concerns, was so friendly to all of our guests and interacted just the right amount. He played us the ultimate dance party sound track for our wedding which was EXACTLY what we were going for - I don't think I stopped dancing all night. Our guests of all ages were digging the music and the dance floor was full til the last song. To top things off, he played us an encore song that tied into an aspect of the ceremony - he is really listening and watching to tailor his selection to you and your guests.

Dominic was easy to contact and quick to respond when I had any questions about our wedding and music. He has a website where we could input all of our music choices on a planning form prior to the event. This allowed us to be organized and we were all prepared this way. Dominic is hands down the best DJ in San Diego area. The day we got our venue booked, we booked Dominic as well. He was a must have for our wedding day. We previously attended 3 weddings with Dominic as the DJ, and at all 3 weddings there were ALWAYS people on the dance floor.

We had a nice consultation with Dominic and he got to know us and our music styles. He has a very detailed questionnaire for you to fill out so he can make sure the wedding music is just what you want. I also really liked that one of the questions was about how the DJ should dress, and the level of energy he has. I honestly think a DJ can make or break a wedding... and he made ours AMAZING! I to this day have people coming up to us and asking about our DJ or complimenting him. We also had multiple people get his card so he could be their DJ (and they are even engaged yet!) Words can not express how lucky I feel that Dominic was part of our big day! I hope to attend many more weddings with him DJing in the future.

Oh and we decided to add uplighting and it was such a great decision. It brought the whole room together. He had no problem adding it on just a few weeks before the wedding. You won't be disappointed if you book Dominic!

I would highly recommend Dominic from Sunset Mobile Music as your wedding (or any private event) DJ. Dominic was a professional from the beginning, meeting us at a consultation meeting to understand our preferences and provide information about his services. I also loved that he had a website to enter in your song choices and music types at your leisure, up to two weeks before your event. He even created a personalized emblem light that was lit up on the wall for us based on a design we provided. Dominic also made a personal trip to the Crossings (our venue) to meet with the coordinator and check out the site beforehand to ensure he didn't have to worry about set-up the day of the event. The event itself was fantastic! The uplighting was beautiful and Dominic kept everyone on the dance floor with a variety of music choices that every generation loved! I seriously think the dance floor was packed the entire night! Dominic's energy and professionalism are topnotch and not to be missed! Thank you Dominic!

We used Dominic Meyer and Sunset Mobile Music to host our daughter's wedding at The Crossings in Carlsbad in October 2016. Dominic was a complete professional from the moment we first met him. He came prepared with an informative computer presentation of his services, answered my daughter's questions, and completely put everyone at ease. He came to the venue several days early to discuss preparations with our event planner, and everything went off beautifully from the ceremony to the reception. Many guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended! Dominic took the time to visit with many of the guests throughout the evening, which added a personal touch to the festivities. The dance floor was busy the entire time, since Dominic played music from many eras and kept everyone involved.

Dominic was our Dj for our wedding this month. He is as good as it gets!

We only chose the first dance/father daughter dance/processional songs and let him choose music for the reception and dinner time. He knew my husband loves classic rock and I liked country, and he played the best variety of both! The playlist he came up with was so unique and nothing I've heard at other weddings. He even let my husband steal the mic to sing the acoustic version of Hotel California and it was the best part of the night.

He was always helpful before the wedding and very fun to be around. It made wedding planning so much easier :)

You won't regret hiring them! I'd recommend them to everyone.

Dominic's services were included with the wedding package we chose at the venue, which made us a little bit nervous. In the end, I don't think we could have chosen a better DJ if we had searched on our own for months. He is a consummate professional with an amazing, upbeat attitude. I was a tough-to-reach client, but he rolled with it and we couldn't be happier.

Sunset Mobile Music uses a form on their website for couples to choose all of their music. It covers every possible moment of the ceremony and reception and the selection of music is awesome. Setting everything up was super easy once we decided on tunes.

Dominic played every song and every clip with flawless timing. His emcee skills are top notch - he does a great job reading the room and keeping energy high.

We recently got married at Karl Strauss Brewery Gardens in Sorrento Valley, CA. Part of their wedding package included DJ services from Sunset Mobile Music. I'll admit, I was a little nervous hiring a DJ for our wedding without hearing them first, but after speaking to the staff at Karl Strauss and reading some online reviews, I was confident they'd do a great job for our big day. Dominic, the owner, was very receptive to our questions and concerns. He took some time to meet with me to go over our selections, and even put together a special song for my father/daughter dance. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch. Jason, the DJ that was onsite, played everything as discussed and kept people dancing all night long. It was a perfect day! Dominic was so awesome! he was so easy going with all my questions! He really provided an amazing atmosphere for all my guests and made the waiting for them to call tables to eat a fun experience! All my guests kept telling me after the wedding how much they loved my dj and how funny he was! Dominic was a great dj for our wedding. He was included as part of our wedding package and was very helpful from the beginning in our planning stages. His website was very easy to use as we input our song selections and even included recommended songs for many of the traditional wedding elements. We met in person prior to our wedding and we received a lot of positive feedback from our guests about the quality/personality of our dj. We would definitely recommend his services.

Dominic definitely went above and beyond our expectations! He was always very responsive to any of our questions via e-mail and when it came down to our wedding day, he was fantastic! While my husband and I were eating our dinner and other guests were being served, we noticed Dominic was going around to some of our tables chatting with our guests - we REALLY loved that and our guests all commented on how nice he is. His energy is contagious and we are so happy we chose him to be such a big part of our wedding day! Thanks, Dominic!!

Well let's start off by saying that my guests are a handful. Dominic not only got the party started but was able to roll with the punches that my guests threw throughout the night. He's always on the ball with great energy and reads the crowd well. We were blessed to have had Sunset Mobile as our vendor in our wedding package. They have you pre-select your music and itinerary for the evening through an online forum and they call you if they need any more information, so you never skip a beat on your wedding day. Great time and great service!

Dominic Meyer was the DJ for our July 2015 wedding and did an amazing job! He was so friendly and easy to work with. He did a great job of reading the crowd and playing music that everyone got up and danced to. He also kept the schedule flowing for all of the events like cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. It was great to not have to worry about a thing and knowing that he had it all under control. I would recommend him to anyone.

Ended up with sunset mobile as our wedding DJ through our venue, but feel like we lucked out. Their website was very helpful for picking out songs for all the various stages of the reception, and Victor was really on the ball. Found us as the reception was starting up to make sure he understood our thoughts, and did a great job to keep all of our guests happy, which is always a challenge with the wide age ranges. Overall was very happy and would recommend as a good option!

A good DJ is one of the most important pieces to a grand wedding, so my then fiancé (now husband) and I met with three DJs to find the perfect one. After meeting with Dominic we knew that his personality, professionalism, and experience were unmatched to the competition. He blew them all out of the water!

We knew we had a tricky venue when it came to sound and our entertainment, but Dominic was well prepared and a pleasure to work with! He always got back to us quickly and he complimented and accommodated for our MC, and live musician.

Our daughter & son-in-law chose Dominic (Sunset Mobile Music) for their beautiful wedding and reception in Carlsbad on June 7. Dominic was with us all day. He provided great sound and music for their beachfront ceremony and also did a fantastic job with being DJ, music and lighting for every aspect of the wedding well into the night. We had our wedding at Karl Strauss in Sorrento Mesa (San Diego, CA) and Sunset Mobile Music is their go to for DJ service. We can see why.. Their website is very easy to use for setting up your event, they got every song we wanted, if they did not have it they acquired it. A few days before the wedding our assigned DJ called us to double check we had everything we wanted and if their was any other questions we had.

The day of the even our DJ - Victor did a wonderful job helping keep the wedding moving along, shuffling the songs we picked, and filling in the gaps for parts of the wedding we did not pick songs for. He was also very personal with us and the guests enjoyed speaking to him.

The Microphone for our officiant was at a perfect volume and clear.

Dominic was an awesome DJ at our wedding! My husband and I knew it when we met him, that his bright and energetic personality was exactly what we wanted to get our party going. We asked him tons of questions and he was always very prompt with answering our questions through email. Also, he was flexible to meet with us when we wanted to go over the really important things. A friend at work referred Dominic to me because he was the DJ at one of our friends wedding and he did other parties for a couple other friends. On the day of our wedding, we found out that my oldest brother had worked for Dominic almost 15 years ago and that he was the DJ at my husbands aunt's wedding. It was fun to celebrate our families coming together and see them enjoy a little trip down memory lane. Through meetings and emails, it seems like Dominic really got to know us and he truly felt like family to us at our wedding! Dominic was beyond amazing! Not only did he take charge and made me feel as though I had nothing to worry about, but you could also tell he absolutely loves his job, which makes all the differnce in the world.

Dominic at Sunset Mobile was a joy to work with. As amny of you know planning a wedding is stressful and it is hard to know what your going to get when you start hiring peopel to provide a service at your wedding. Dominic was prompt, professional and totally available to answer questions I had throughout the process. Domininc showed up on time the day of the wedding, set up for the ceremony and helped direct the events of the night. He was charismatic, flexible with change and totally made our night seamless. Full five stars around for these guys! I had my wedding venue at the San Diego Maritime Museum and Sunset came highly recommended by the management team there. Dominic and Frank were great through the entire process. They were very patient and understanding as we were swamped with multi-tasking wedding plans and didn’t get to our song list until the week of. Dominic and Frank made sure everything was setup perfectly, they provided awesome up lighting matching our colors and Frank’s MC skills were perfect throughout the evening. We highly recommend Sunset Moblie. Dominic was such an incredibly awesome DJ! .He is a very kind honest guy. He was so easy to work with even when we kept changing things on him! He has a convenient online form that you put your songs on which is nice. Dominic is very professional but fun and laid back at the same time. He showed up in perfect time and was dressed appropriately. He was all set up and ready to go. We had him do our ceremony on the beach and the sound quality was great. All the music sounded great and it was very easy for all the voices to be heard on the beach even over all the noise. The reception was fabulous. Everyone loved the music selection and was disappointed when the reception ended! It was one of those receptions where you can stop dancing because every song is so great! His personality was great during the reception. He was interactive and kept people going but he wasnt over the top about it. We gave Dominic around a 130 long list of songs and he really seemed to appreciate that. I think it helps him so he doesn’t have to guess what kind of music you exactly like. We are so glad that we chose Sunset Mobile Music! They offer an online system for you to choose your music, and it is very detailed. We loved that they offered this, because it allowed us to pick every single song that we wanted played, not just a few dance songs. I found this company at the carlsbad bridal show and they offered a good discount from the show, and because my wedding was in a slow season. We were hesitant that it was too good to be true and that we'd have a cheesy dj, but I'm happy to say Victor was PERFECT! We only had a few songs that we definitely wanted played and other than that just shared information about what we did and did not like, and Victor hit the night right on the nose. Everyone had a great time, and my husband, who NEVER dances, was shaking it with me all night long. It was the best night of our lives.

Dominic was amazing! He played every single song on my list and kept the event moving along perfectly. He announced us really well, too. In fact, he might have been too good, because I couldn't leave the dance floor. As the bride I kept trying to go talk to people and take a breather, but then Dominic would play something that I HAD to dance to. We hired Sunset Mobile for our wedding last year and it was way easier than we had imagined! Dominic was such a nice guy and laid it all out for us..."do what you want and I will be there". We were able to hand pick every song we wanted played, made a cd for each catagory and told Dominic what we expected. He said we could choose how lively or how straight forwrd we wanted him to be and if we did not want certain songs or music played, no big deal. He would take care of our needs and keep it fun.

We made a cd for the events, cocktail hour music and then general music to be played throughout the reception and he did things exactly as we wanted! He had a great personality and never took things over the top. He kept it interesting and fun. He was great to work with and we were so pleased that we were able to choose what we wanted played. We are very happy with the job Sunset Mobile Music did for our wedding ceremony and reception on the Berkeley ferryboat at the San Diego Maritime Museum! I communicated with Dominic by phone and email, and he was always very responsive and informative. We filled out the online form, and a few days before the wedding, we met with our assigned DJ, Joe. It was great to meet him so we could chat about what "vibe" we wanted for our party. He encouraged us to add more songs to our list, and not to be afraid we were taking away his creativity, he wanted to do what WE wanted! I also had a relative singing and playing guitar at the ceremony and Dominic and Joe made sure she had the correct mics and hookups for her gear.

The reception was great and Joe was very open to requests from our friends and family. He really went with the "flow" of the party and tried to read the crowd, while sticking strictly to our "do not play" list! One of my friends requested a song I had banned and he told her he needed my approval first before he would play it....I liked that! And I did look over to the DJ corner a few times to see Joe dancing and rockin' out himself, which I loved!

It was a great party and a very professional, organized group to work with. Thank you to Joe and Dominic!

Fun, Bubbly Personality that kept guest on the dancefloor

We had a great experience with Dominic, he was very communicative during the booking process and worked with me to make sure we had the right versions of songs during the ceremony we wanted which was awesome. I had a long list of songs to play during our cocktail and dinner and from what I heard, he played just about all of them! I did ask for a special request just a week out and I don't think that was played, but also he had another DJ with us that maybe wasn't informed. Was not a big deal though so no problem. We did not have a wedding planner, so Dominic was extremely helpful keeping us on course. Just make sure you update him with your timeline if things change, simple mistake on my end but everything still ran smoothly so again, super happy with everything. Dominick and his team have been wonderful. My only issue has been that the website to organize the event day isn't available in a mobile format, and we could only list 20 song on the must play list. and everything else we had wanted had to go on the possible play list. Our event was going for over 6 hrs.
Everything else, has been great. the communication, the team work and the relief Dominick has provided to us confirming all of our information and reiterating he will be there.

I am not sure where to start because there is so much I want to say! Jason at Sunset Mobile Music is amazing!

We recently got married in San Diego and Jason was our DJ. He did a wonderful job at the ceremony, and there was never a dull moment at the reception. I feel like a lot of weddings can be very "run of the mill" and impersonal because I think a lot of times to vendors its just another day, another job. Jason definitely personalized my event from start to finish. I couldn't be more happy with the way everything turned out.

On top of our actual wedding day being fabulous, Dominic the owner of Sunset Mobile Music met with us when we would come into town to go over our details with us. He was very professional and knows how to run his business with class (he should Sunset Mobile Music has been around since 1983). :))))

I highly suggest using them for your next big event. I have spoken to a handful of DJ's in San Diego before finding Sunset Mobile Music and I was not impressed! Sunset Mobile Music/Jason/Dominic is the best in town! :)))

Dominic from Sunset Mobile Music was great! We wanted NO requests at the reception and he did not let that slide at all! That was so important to us so we appreciated his diligence. He was just as interactive as we wanted him to be, and not a bit more. My brother who has a fabulous crooning voice but does not often sing in front of crowds of people, sang a solo- Dominic made him feel completely comfortable and gave him just as much of a spotlight as he wanted.

There were a few songs we wanted to be played toward the end of the night that he played toward the beginning of the dancing, but it was not a big deal and I'm thinking he did that to get the crowd going, which seemed to work!

I was supposed to have the owner as my DJ and learned the day of when I got to the reception that it was not him, but rather his staff. Definitely dissappointed me. His staff did great, only 2 hiccups but they were easily fixed, but the fact I never got an email or phone call about the switch...nor has he followed up with me after the wedding (and I've written him) needless to say I'm disapppointed in that. I work in the event industry and lack of communication is far worse than being honest about having to make changes or fessing up to your errors.

The owner Dominic was very responsive and accommodating throughout the planning process. I would have loved to have him as our DJ. He had be the DJ at several of my friend's weddings. Our DJ Jason did a good job. Although he did not always stick to the guidelines we provided, our guests had a great time.

Sunset Mobile Music was the vendor that our venue uses, so we didn't have a choice on DJs, but they did do a good job. They were very prompt on contacting me once we booked our reception site, and have a great online website for selecting music and making music choices. They did an amazing job of selecting music for the cocktail hour, as well as during the dance.

My only complaint was that for our first dance song, the version they played was from a TV show, and had voice overs on it. It kind of ruined my first dance to hear characters from The OC talking over my song. I wish they would've listed to the entire song before playing it, or asked me to send them the album version without a voice over. Other than that, no complaints!

We had Dominic through our venue, Karl Strauss Brewery, he is the owner and the company is contracted with them for events. Dominic is super nice, attentive when you're right in front of him but he seems very busy. We were a little disappointed with the wrong version of songs being played during our ceremony, nobody but my wife and I noticed, but still not the point. Also seemed like his DJing method were a little too rigid, we had filled out a form of types of music we wanted with a few must plays and felt that he tried too hard to 'check off' and play what we had listed to the detriment of the people dancing. Just wished he felt the crowd more.
We actually would recommend him to others, they just need to be a little more assertive than we were and definitely be super explicit that having people dancing is priority over having certain song played.

My initial correspondence with Dominic was great. We even met at a local coffee shop and went over my vision and expectations for my wedding. After our meeting, I booked and paid the deposit for his services, a full 6 months in advance. The month of my wedding, I receive a final bill that has a different DJ's name on it for the event. I email Dominic asking if he was still going to be the DJ and he said that he would be doing the event AND would a new assistant with him. In preparation for the evening, I ordered food for both him and his assistant through my caterer. When I arrive at my wedding, I find a DJ I have never met before and Dominic is nowhere to be found. The DJ he sent was satisfactory, but was not a good fit for our wedding. We had a few issues as a result including: transitions during the intro and the mothers dance as he kept playing the "intro" song too long, all of the pre-requested songs listed on our form were not played and the song selected for the mother dance was played incorrectly before the mother dance and then again.
