I have loved Sunkissed & Made Up for many years now. I started following their Instagram for hair & makeup inspiration, & knew that when it came time for my wedding - they were the first vendor I HAD to have. When I had my hair & makeup done for my bridal portraits at their beautiful studio in downtown Houston, the results came out beyond my expectations. A month before my original April 2020 wedding date, I had to postpone due to Covid. Taylor & her team rescheduled with no hesitation, & were so kind to work with along the way. When it finally came time for my April 2021 Wedding, I was blessed to have Taylor for makeup & Megan for hair. They made all of my bridesmaids & Mom’s feel so beautiful, & I couldn’t ask for more. Some of my girls knew what they wanted, & some did not. When they asked Taylor & Megan to go for it, the results were phenomenal. I was thrilled with my hair & makeup as well - the Sunkissed girls can do no wrong! If you’re from Houston / the surrounding areas, please do yourself a favor and book Sunkissed & Made Up for any of your glam required events. You will be so thankful that you did! -

We were so lucky to have had Taylor and the girls do our hair and make-up on the big day. Not only were my 10 bridesmaids, myself and my mom so happy with the hair and make-up but they truly felt like friends. It felt as if we were having girls day and they made everyone feel and look like a million bucks. From the bottom of my heart, I could not have asked for better artists/people on my special day. I love Sunkissed & Made-up! For my wedding in 2018 I had a large bridal party where everyone was going for a different style and they did such an amazing job accommodating whatever the girls wanted. I went thru 4 makeup trials until I chose Sunkissed & Made-up. Every person you work with is talented, sweet, and just gets what you want right. It's stress free for me when I sit in the chair because I know my makeup & hair will always turn out flawless. Fast forward to 2020 - when I needed someone for my maternity photos - I knew who to go to. My makeup & hair lasted me thru the outdoor Texas humidity and my own sweat lol. Highly recommend them! -

I cannot say enough about this team. I've been a bridesmaid and have used them multiple times over the last 5 years. BUT, getting to use the ladies as a BRIDE - I was blown away. They literally had everyone from my girls, the moms and me looking stunning. They customized everything to our needs and smiled the whole time. Seriously, use them. You won't regret it. -

Let me start by saying that Sunkissed & Madeup is hands down the best hair/makeup company I have ever worked with. I have had services done at other places for countless events, but Sunkissed is takes the cake every time. I first worked with Amber last August for my engagement pictures. In the past when I have had my makeup done, it's been pretty, but not "me". Amber made me look the way I always dreamt, just a glammed up/flawless version of myself. I shamelessly admit I almost wrecked on my way home because I could not stop looking at myself lol It was a no brainer after that we wanted to use Sunkissed for our wedding and I was so relieved to find out they were still available. The Sunkissed team made not only me, but all of my girls look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day. I cannot recommend them enough!!! -

Alicia Sent on 09/16/2017Sunkissed and Made Up did my hair and makeup for several events leading up to my wedding and did my mother, mother-in-law, bridesmaids, and my hair and makeup for my wedding. They always do an incredible job! They are seriously talented and I wouldn’t trust my wedding day hair and makeup with anyone else. They are the sweetest ladies, they make everyone feel comfortable and are so fun to have around. They made all my ladies look gorgeous! I loved my own hair and makeup and it stayed through the entire reception! -

I did a trial about 6 months out because i wanted to be sure it was the style i was looking for. I loved the trial but there were a few things i wanted to tweak for my bridal portrait/the wedding day and they made every change i wanted without any hesitation. The day of, they did hair and makeup for myself, 6 bridesmaids, 2 moms, 1 grandmother, and 1 flower girl in the span of about 3 hours. They were so fun to be with the morning of, chatting with us and dealing with my stress with ease haha! they stayed around after our bridesmaids pictures to offer touch-ups to everybody before the ceremony which was much appreciated and needed in the Texas heat. I really felt like i looked the best i ever did on our wedding day, and i'm so glad we went with SKMU. My bridesmaids loved them as well, and everybody was able to have their own "look" while still looking cohesive. You won't regret booking them!!! -

Lindsey Sent on 10/20/2014I got really lucky and met these lovely ladies at my venue's open house, and I booked them on the spot - one of the best decisions I made!
I did a make-up and hair trial with them a few days before my wedding, and the girls listened to what I wanted to change from what was done at my trial. They did hair and make-up for my bridal party (me, matron of honor, bridesmaid, and mom), and everyone's hair and make-up came out better than I had dreamed. My matron of honor and bridesmaid both said that this was the best hair and makeup that they have ever had done between all of the random special occasions and weddings that they have been part of. My husband even commented on how we all looked stunning (and he rarely notices or pays attention to these kinds of things).
The prices are a little bit higher than what I found from other companies, but Sunkissed definitely justifies the slightly higher price tag! Also, all my correspondence was done through email with one of the girls (Candice), and she was usually pretty prompt on replying with the information I requested. -

Misty Sent on 02/17/2014These girls did an AMAZING job with hair and makeup for me and my bridal party. Prices are competitive but well worth every penny. Airbrush makeup looked great in photos. I absolutely loved my hair, with very little direction - she just knew what would look perfect! And they knocked out 4 bridesmaids and a bride, with hair and airbrush makeup each, in about 3 hours. Thanks so much girls!
