We had the absolute best experience working with Ellie from Sun & Sparrow. From our engagement session to our wedding day, she created the most fairytale, whimsical vibe in every single photo.
Ellie is not only incredibly talented and creative, but she’s also professional, easy to work with, and made both me and my husband feel completely comfortable — even though we were nervous about being in front of the camera. She guided us with posing, offered so many creative ideas, and truly brought our vision to life.
On our wedding day with 250+ guests, Ellie managed to capture every moment perfectly. She made sure our family photos were organized and stress-free, and she didn’t miss a single detail. Looking back at our photos now, I can feel all the joy and magic of the day as if I were reliving it.
Ellie is an absolute dream to work with, and I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a photographer who will capture not just the images, but the true feeling of your day. -

Ellie captured our surprise proposal/engagement pictures and it was by far the best experience I've had in a photo shoot. She allowed me to have fun, made me feel beautiful, and allowed our couple vibe to shine. She was so involved and helpful with the planning and picking out the most flattering outfits, which is needed when we're not used to being on camera! Since the engagement shoot, Ellie had photographed so many of our major milestones and I cannot recommend Sun & Sparrow enough for any of the important or just because photos! -

We cannot say enough nice things about our experience with Ellie at Sun & Sparrow! Her communication, dependability, and attention to detail truly made our wedding spectacular. Highly recommend if you are looking for a wedding photographer. She perfectly captured the romantic, fairy tale mood we wanted. Her day-of presence never made us feel stressed, rushed, tired, or fake; it was like having your best friend take pictures of you. She caught every single moment thanks to the detailed itinerary she worked out with us, and the editing was true-to-life and made us look our best while still showcasing the style that drew us to her. We received a ton of sneak peek pictures before we even finished our honeymoon. Our second shooter, Julie, was fun and helpful, and really made sure we had coverage everywhere. -

Fairytale wedding? Check!
I found not only a talented photographer, but also a lifelong friend in Ellie from Sun & Sparrow!
From the moment we discovered her work, we knew she was special. Out of all the photographers we considered—recommended by venues and our own research—Ellie was the only one both my husband (who has over 15 years of photography experience and a very discerning eye) and I wholeheartedly approved. In fact, I was so certain she was the one that I signed a contract with Sun & Sparrow before I even had a wedding venue booked!
Ellie delivered more than just beautiful wedding photos—she brought our fairytale vision to life. On our wedding day, she took the lead effortlessly, captured every moment we hoped for, and made the whole experience so much fun. Even my husband, who usually dreads being in front of the camera, felt completely at ease and genuinely enjoyed himself.
What sets Ellie apart isn’t just her incredible eye—it’s her warm, personable nature and the genuine care she has for her clients. Ellie is such a rare find that I will never look for another photographer to capture life’s most precious moments. Her excellence, curiosity and attention to the finest details bring about the most spellbinding collections of photos. To this day, I often scroll through my Sun & Sparrow galleries, immensely grateful for the memories and in disbelief that my life could be so beautiful. She takes the time to get to know her subjects — not just their wants and needs, but who they are as people. This commitment to understanding her subjects allows her to capture a person’s spirit — as a result, you look over your galleries feeling so seen. Beyond all of that, Ellie is full of warmth, grace and light, and it makes working with her a delight! At this point in my life, she has captured my engagement, my wedding, my pregnancy and now my newborn. I can honestly say that her photography is one of the best investments I have ever made. We absolutely loved having Ellie as our wedding photographer! She shot our engagement and wedding photos in the summers of 2022 and 2023 in Santa Barbara and Pasadena, CA. Her secondary shooter, Julie, was part of the team on the wedding day and we absolutely loved her too!
- Professional: Ellie was attentive to our needs and gave us plenty of prep ahead of our shoots. She was early at both locations to scout out the best spots for our photos. It was also quite hot on our wedding day and she gave us plenty of time to take breaks while keeping us on track — she did so well that we were actually ahead of schedule!
- Photos: Ellie’s skills and care are so evident in the photos she takes. As two introverts who don’t have our photos taken very often, she offered relatable cues to get the perfect shot every time! Her editing and ability to frame a shot is outstanding. For context, we got married in a Japanese garden and she was able to capture the essence of the garden and us.
- Vibe: Ellie cultivated feelings of safety and peace for both our engagement and wedding photos. From the moment we first had our consultation call, she was able to tap into our love for each other and we were sold! She’s non-judgmental where we were able to be our goofy selves and she was able to perfectly capture the warmth, joy, and excitement that we have for this next chapter in our lives.

We came across Sun and Sparrow’s work thanks to the brochure of recommended photographers from our wedding chapel, and after a quick look to their instagram, it was love at first sight with their work!
It was truly magic that they were available on our wedding day, since we only had 3 months to plan our wedding, and I was doing most of the planning from my country (Mexico). Ellie was super attentive and organized! She scheduled a consultation with me over the phone so we could discuss on my vision, budget, questions, etc, etc. But her attentiveness didn’t stop there! A couple weeks before my wedding, I was feeling very nervous that we wouldn’t have enough time to take all the pictures that I wanted, so Ellie and I organized a coffee date where she really went out of her way and served as a photographer, wedding planner and a friend! I will forever be thankful ❤️
It was amazing seeing Ellie doing her job during the ceremony and reception, she was moving chairs out of her way, directing people, changing cameras! She was doing it all and she was amazing at it.
I even remember she helped with my hair when my headpiece was acting out, she handed me bobby pins that she had in an emergency kit, phew she was prepared 🤩.
I wouldn’t think twice about booking with her again and recommended her to family and friends, she is a great person to work with and just a great human being in general.

Ellie is the master of light and whimsical!
When I say we looked into and interviewed SO many photographers for our big day, we are not kidding. We knew we loved Sun and Sparrow’s photography and had to have them.
Ellie was our lead photographer on our big day and we could not be more happy with her! She is a GEM and just exudes positivity and good energy. Her eye for detail and all things whimsical is unparalleled and her shots are STUNNING. She was so game for anything that came up and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. We love her eye for movement and candids and got so many great shots because of it. And, just when we were missing all of the magic of the wedding day, she delivered a HUGE sneak peek gallery before the promised day!
Ellie, we will never forget how you made our day by working with us (and our budget) to have you on our big day. You say you had a good feeling about us (and we about you!) but honestly, you delivered in more ways than we could have imagined or ever hoped for. We could not have asked for a better photographer (or person!) for our big day. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and capturing all of the big and small moments from our wedding. You are seriously the best and you will forever have a special place in our hearts. We love you :) -

We could not have been happier with our decision to book with Sun and Sparrow! Our wedding was on 9/28/19 at the Ebell of LA, where Sun and Sparrow is one of their recommended photographers. When we saw their portfolio, and their romantic, whimsical shots - we were immediately sold.
Tiffani and Ellie were amazing to work with. They are the sweetest, nicest people ever, but also very professional at the same time. Doing a day of timeline was extremely helpful to share with our other vendors. The best part was that many of our other vendors followed their lead for the day's scheduling because they are so experienced. Tiffani and Ellie helped us feel so at ease by helping us pose and come up with great suggestions for photos. The best part was that we didn't have to think at all during our wedding, just follow their instructions, and we came out with the most beautiful photos! They were in general just so caring and sweet during the whole process, even helping me hook up my bustle at one point because none of my bridesmaids could figure it out.
Really recommend doing engagement photos with them as well to get a feel for their style and to start developing the relationship!
The quality of their work speaks for itself, but they are also just amazing human beings.
HIGHLY recommend them! -

We found sun and sparrow photography after extensive searching for a photography that would be able to capture our vision for our wedding. After viewing sample photos we knew we had to book Tiffani and her team. Throughout the whole booking and planning process, Tiffani was extremely helpful in giving tips on how to plan, referrals to other vendors if we ever needed it and was very responsive to emails. When the wedding was almost here we had a long phone call with Tiffani who helped us create our day of timeline and she really worked with us to get a feel for how we want our wedding to be captured and remembered. We ended up using the timeline we created with her to give to the other vendors and our day of coordinator as well. On the day of the wedding, Tiffani and her crew showed up early scouted the area and led the day capturing all the moments we wanted. They were very professional, and accommodating to the bride and groom and even had to deal with rain all day but we still got the shots we wanted! We got a Canvas of one of our favorite photos as part of our package and it arrived in a great condition, shipped from California to South Carolina. It is also a very high-quality Canvas piece that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Overall we were very happy and pleased with our experience with sun and sparrow photography and would highly recommend them to any of our friends and family if they need photographers for any occasion. -

My now husband who works in media saw their photos and immediately said "These are real professionals! Their editing is superb." (after looking at tons of other photographers). They were slightly out of our ideal budget but honestly, worth every cent.
Tiffani was our main point of contact and she knows weddings inside and out. She went through the wedding timeline clearly and just knew what to expect on the day of and asked a lot of good questions.
On the day Tiffani and her team of Ellie and Julie handled the day perfectly and got all the family photos requested by my mom but also got great candids and romantics.
The wedding day is so busy and having professional photographers who know exactly what to do allows us to have wonderful photos to look back on. -

Deanne Sent on 10/23/2017Tiffani of Sun & Sparrow went above and beyond- from the moment we booked her and we met up for dinner to get to know our vision for our wedding- to the engagement shoot - to the entire wedding day. Everything was planned to a T and she just takes her time to make sure everything you want is executed beautifully. Our pictures are beyond - LITERALLY BEYOND everything we had hoped. She took care to really be aware of how my husband HATES pictures and how I absolutely love pictures, haha. It was a hard thing to balance but our photos turned out ineffably amazing. I know that photographers can really take a big chunk of the wedding expenses but the photos are the only thing you will have to look back to remember your big day. Sun & Sparrow is worth every single penny. I definitely recommend this vendor - she goes above and beyond and really is just so personable. And though I never met Tiffani's sister, Ellie's editing skills really gives the Sun & Sparrow signature touch - which just so happens to be what I love! -- the light, nature, greenery and spotlighting all the details details details. Thank you Sun & Sparrow photography, our wedding experience just would not be the same without being able to look back at all these ridiculously beautiful photos of our amazing day. Looking forward to calling you up for maternity and holiday photos when the time comes!

Kethia Sent on 08/12/2014I should start by saying that if you’ve gone on their website; you really don’t need to be reading this to already feel that Sun & Sparrow Photography is much bigger than just photography and photographers. I got into contact with Tiffani, one of the owners, and she personally called me, kept in touch with me and took the time to talk to me. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. As a future bride, they became the mentors and supporters I needed. Before the engagement session, Tiffani closely kept in touch me with through calls, texts, Pinterest boards to find out what story I wanted to tell through our engagement session, and in this case, to continue to our wedding day. Our wedding day was even better. I had the pleasure of having both sisters there, Tiffani and Ellie as my photographers and the twin brothers as my videographers.
These photographers will ask you to describe feelings of what you want to see in your pictures. I mean… come on! They are not looking to just take your pictures but to create something much bigger than that. They want to tell your story and show feelings through their work. They will make themselves look silly and do the split just to take the perfect picture, without a doubt, they will go above and beyond for you. This goes without saying that their videographers are as talented as them. My father in law was actually part of Christmas movie they had filmed before and now, ended up filming our wedding. What a blessing.
What I love most about all of this is that, these professional photographers were once an option to me and like what they do best in going above and beyond, they became friends and confidents. They wanted to know how I was feeling; they listened to my stories, remembered the details… because how else of a better job can photographers do if they don’t know you?

Felisha Sent on 02/18/2014Love, Love, Love!!!! Tiffani and Ellie are so amazing and I cannot imagine using anybody else for our photography. Since first speaking with Tiffani by phone I knew that Sun and Sparrow would be our wedding photographers. She was so personable and sweet and just made us feel so comfortable and excited about everything. From the booking to the engagement photo session to the actual wedding day it was great.
My husband has a weird photo taking smile and they were able to get him to relax and give a genuine smile at all times. Not once did i see that awkward camera smile, just his natural, amazing smile. They really captured the feel of the entire wedding day and helped it go incredibly smoothly even with the tight time constraint we were under. All of the photos came out beautifully and were exactly what i envisioned. Every detail and special moment was captured and everyones natural beauty really came through in all the photos. There was not one picture i didn't like and it's making it so difficult to choose the ones to put up in our home.
The quality of the photo album is another thing to gush over. Everything about it is perfect. The layout, the quality, the material, the thick lay-flat pages. I love looking through that book, it takes me back through the day so perfectly and I can't help but relive the amazing day minute by minute as i flip through the pages. I couldn't ask for anything more. I highly recommend using such great photographers and such friendly people!
