Shannon at Sun Blossoms is incredible! Her work speaks for itself and I honestly could not have asked for a better florist to be a part of our day. The flower quality was OUTSTANDING (even on a ridiculously hot day) and her work took their beauty to another level.Sent on 06/29/2017
She took my vision and she made it a reality. Her work speaks for itself and I could not have been more pleased with the final outcome of our special day.
Thank you Shannon for the beauty you created. It means the world to us!

Shannon is amazing! I gave her some ideas and some creative leeway to produce the bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids. They were exactly what I wanted- whimsical, beautiful, and each one was just a little different. She is so sweet and very talented.Sent on 10/06/2014

I chose Shannon to do the flower arrangements for my wedding and oh man did I make the best decision ever! I almost went with fake flowers to cut costs down but everyone kept telling me it would be worth the money to do real ones. I came across Shannon's website and was in awe over all her photos. She was the most inexpensive flower shop I had found. Her prices beat all the other quotes I had received from other shops. She was super easy to work with and honestly her flowers made my wedding. They were absolutely breathtaking! Do not ever think about doing fake flowers choose Shannon to do your floral arrangements. You won't be sorry! Your guests will be ooo-ing and awe-ing over your flowers! Thank you so much Shannon! You took my vision and made it a reality. It was a dream come true : ) I am forever grateful.Sent on 02/10/2015

Shannon went above and beyond for me at my wedding. I went in not knowing what I wanted and she sat down with me and came up with beautiful and creative flowers and centerpieces. She is a genius! Always quick to reply to my e-mails and flexible with meetings. I was able to get everything I wanted at a great price. In the morning on the day of the wedding when delivering the flowers, she decided it would be best to wait until after the ceremony and come back to set up the delicate centerpieces for dinner since they both took place in the same room. That was really great of her to go the extra mile for me so I didn't have to stress and could totally relax and enjoy my day!Sent on 04/30/2014

Shannon created the flower arrangements for our September 1, 2013 Wedding in Portland, OR. Since my husband and I live in Los Angeles, we had to do all our planning remotely. Shannon was extremely accommodating and willing to set up Skype meetings so we could "meet". She worked so well with our budget and vision and created the most beautiful arrangements that exceeded my expectations. She really listened to what we wanted and delivered a gorgeous end product. I would definitely recommend Sun Blossoms Floral for any event.Sent on 01/27/2014

Shannon at Sun Blossoms was fantastic to work with. Not only did she take my scatter-brained, pinterest-full ideas and turn them into some remarkably beautiful, but she made it work within my budget and showed the utmost professionalism in her work. I loved working with Shannon and would recommend her (and already have!) to anyone in the Eugene/Salem/Portland area. (Yes, she'll travel!)Sent on 12/03/2013

Truly helped me determine my overall theme, which was a huge Struggle!!! Shannon was wonderful and had an amazing vision for our wedding. We had a vintage romantic theme, and she really captured that in our flowers. The centerpieces were to DIE for as were the antique cheese box stacked arrangements. My bouquet was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, to the point that I didn't want to put it down once the whole day! The flowers were fresh and she even accommodated my request for succulents to be added. Her work is a true craft and it was a phenomenal experience to work with her.Sent on 01/27/2014

Shannon was so great to work with and did an amazing job with our wedding flowers! She even worked in secret with my maid of honor to surprise me with additional arrangements...long distance! She was extremely knowledgeable offered suggestions for alternative flowers because of the timing of my wedding and budget. I looked at several flower providers because of my budget and Sun Blossoms was very reasonably priced for a perfect finished product.Sent on 10/29/2012

I would highly recommend Shannon’s work to anyone who wants beautiful, lush flowers for an event at a reasonable price. As we had just bought our house, my husband and I did not have a large budget for our wedding and had not planned on purchasing flowers. We chose a venue that required little decoration, but in the end, we chose to include flowers to give it a little added luxury. This decision came just one week before our wedding, but Shannon was happy to accommodate at the last minute.Sent on 02/11/2012
Because I had not planned on flowers, when Shannon and I met, I had little to give her in terms of direction. I knew my colors, requested some flowers of which my husband and I are fond, and also described the general shape and size of each piece I needed. Beyond that, I left it in Shannon’s hands to come up with something appropriate. As I am an event manager by trade and usually very picky about minute details, this took a great leap of faith for me.
I needn’t have worried. Shannon arrived on site precisely when scheduled. I was on my way out of the venue to the hairdresser, but when I came back later in the day, I could not have been more thrilled with the way all of the flowers turned out. She beautifully mixed the flowers I had requested, some of which were somewhat unusual, with other gorgeous types to give the arrangements body and color depth. By sparingly using some of the more expensive flowers, she was able to call attention to them as highlights while keeping the overall cost down.
We had a cocktail style wedding, and so only had a few large sit-down tables. For these, we ordered four large, long, low table arrangements to bring color to the table. Additionally, we ordered six cocktail table arrangements, a very large altar piece that attached to a beam above the altar, four boutonnieres, four corsages, a cake topper, and bouquets for my maid of honor and me. All were incredible – fresh, full, colorful, perfectly matching and complementing our colors.
Despite the last-minute nature of my order, I did get a competitive quote from my favorite local florist. Shannon’s quote was about half, and the sizes of the arrangements she promised and delivered were about twice as big and full as the sample the other florist provided! Additionally, because of the high quality of the flowers, after the wedding the table arrangements decorated nearly every flat surface in my house and allowed me to enjoy the memory of my amazing day quite vividly for nearly two weeks! While bouquets never last that long due to the amount of time they spend out of the water on one’s wedding day, mine dried beautifully upside down such that I was able to take it apart and reconstruct a portion in a shadow box so I can be reminded of how beautiful my wedding day was.
Again, I would highly recommend Shannon to any bride or event planner. She was courteous, creative, and professional. She accommodated my last-minute needs and unusual requests without hesitation, and her work more than met my expectations – all at a significantly lower price than her competitors. I am extremely grateful to her for giving my wedding that extra “umph” and will use her again in my professional life whenever flowers are needed.

Shannon from Sun Blossoms was wonderful to work with. She met with my daughter & I twice prior to the wedding. She was helpful in putting the colors that we wanted into beautiful floral arrangements. The "pop" of color for the wedding was a burnt orange. Shannon picked out some beautiful orange flowers that were accented with greenery. Very Oregon and so lovely against the outdoor venue we had chosen. We had many compliments about the floral arrangements and how they fit into the wedding so perfectly.Sent on 07/19/2011

Shannon, the owner of Sunblossoms Floral, did a fantastic job with the flowers for my wedding. She patiently helped me figure out what exactly I wanted and was willing to change things as my ideas solidified later on. She was a pleasure to work with and the flowers looked amazing, were of high quality, and didn't cost as much as other floral designers. Bravo for Sunblossoms Floral!!Sent on 08/31/2010

Shannon was wonderful and super professional. She came recommended to me by a friend and when I spoke with her she definitely understood the vision I wanted to create for our wedding. Shannon worked with us on what we wanted and helped us actually figure out what we wanted as flowers because truthfully we had no idea other than the colors. The flowers she brought to our wedding were better than I ever imagined and acually lasted for a pretty long time so we were able to keep beautiful mementos of our wedding in our house and to brighten it up. She'll brighen up your wedding with her creations in a way you never knew possible.Sent on 04/26/2009

One month before the wedding Shannon was supposed to meet with me for one final consultation. Here you can make some last minute changes and finalize the order. I had not heard a word from Shannon. I had emailed her multiple times and even wrote her on Facebook just to get a response. It took her exactly 11 days to get back to me! Keep in mind this was now 2 weeks before my wedding! I got a short e-mail asking if I’d like to make any changes (which of course I did). 4 days later I sent her another e-mail with some simple questions, such as when she planned to arrive. It took her an additional 7 days to get back to me… now making it just 4 days before my wedding. I feel as a business owner working who works so close with your clients for such an important day you would be checking you emails daily, but not Shannon. Her responsiveness was severely lacking.
The day of the wedding I set my expectations low with Shannon. She seemed to pile up too many weddings for the summer and it was affecting her work and ability to respond back to brides in a timely manner. She arrived on time, but many of the flowers were not in good shape. My bridesmaid’s bouquets were wilted and many of the pedals had turned brown on the edges. They were also left out in the sun and not placed in the venue’s refrigerator as promised.
Working with her was a mess. All my other vendors were wonderful to work with. She was the only reason I became a stressed out bride. It should not take 2 weeks to respond to an email when the wedding is only a month away. I also do not appreciate paying so much for brown, wilted bouquets. I would NOT recommend her to anyone!

I met with several florists a few months before our wedding to discuss what we needed. Since it was a backyard wedding with no wedding party, we had a rather modest order. Shannon came highly recommended by my sister-in-law, who used her for her wedding in 2009, although another sister-in-law commented that the flowers at that wedding had wilted very early. It was suggested that was due to the more delicate flowers that had been used, but I specifically discussed the hardiness of the flowers we were using, and was assured that my selections would be just fine.Sent on 07/17/2011
One month before my wedding, I had not heard from Shannon to schedule the follow-up appointment to finalize the order. I sent her an email asking when she would like to meet, and advised her I had some changes to make. Despite an email and a phone call (that went straight to voicemail), she did not get back to me for a week. We ended up exchanging emails to discuss the changes I wanted, and I thought everything was fine. She said only that she would deliver my flowers by 4 on the wedding day (pictures at 5, ceremony at 7), and that she would get back to me with that information. I wasn't terribly concerned when she didn't tell me an ETA for the wedding day.
Imagine my surprise when I got to the ceremony site at noon and was told that the flowers had been delivered nearly three hours earlier. Apparently Shannon dropped them off and left very quickly with instructions to refrigerate everything. I can only imagine that the reason she did not stay to discuss the flowers and their care with my mother-in-law is because she had used inferior flowers which were beginning to wilt and turn brown.
The centerpieces had white hydrangeas, white lisianthus, and freesia with pink lisianthus accent. The hydrangeas were turning brown and looked incredibly wilted. The pink lisianthus was far more lavender than the pale pink I had wanted. The roses in my bouquet were starting to turn brown at the tips of the petals - with seven hours to go until the ceremony.
But the cake topper was the absolute worst part. Rather than constructing an actual cake topper that could simply be placed on the cake at the time of delivery, Shannon put eight wilting roses that were already starting to turn brown and lose their petals into a vase, stems and all, along with some freesia that was also losing its petals. Apparently someone else was supposed to put these flowers onto the cake, though that was certainly not explained to me and NOT what I paid for. Fortunately, a friend's mother is a former florist and she came over to help me out and transform the roses into the cake flowers that I'd requested. She took one look at the cake flowers and declared them to be ugly and in bad shape. She graciously took over the project, and went out to Michaels and the grocery store to find suitable flowers and made an absolutely gorgeous cake topper that looked lovely on our cake. It cost her $30 - a mere $10 more than what Shannon charged me for a sparse and unsuitable arrangement. If you want to see the cake flowers, take a look at my profile picture - that's how they were delivered, vase and all.
My mother and MIL did the best they could to cut off petals on the centerpieces to make them look presentable, but everyone who was there during the set up agreed that they looked unimpressive, including my husband. My bouquet was rough looking during the wedding, despite having been in water for most of the 10 hours it was at the house before the wedding. I turned it so that the worst of the flowers were facing me, but it was still disappointing. After the wedding, I cut the stems and put it in a vase with water, and it perked up somewhat. But a mere three days after the wedding I was pulling out totally rotten and brown rosebuds that had never opened. A $125 bouquet of roses should not be in such poor shape after just three days. I've had bouquets from the supermarket last longer than this.
To sum up this long review: I found the flowers and Shannon's service and professionalism to be disappointing in nearly every aspect. I cannot recommend her to anyone.
