Cannot say enough great things about Summit Strings!! Steve was awesome to work with, easy to communicate with, and very open to any idea or request we had for our wedding ceremony. The music was wonderful from the group and all of our family and guests were extremely complimentary of their performances during the ceremony and cocktail hour! -

I highly recommend Steve Holman and his musicians at Summit Strings! They did a fabulous job bringing string music to our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They learned our requested special music easily, worked seamlessly with the DJ and other vendors, and brought beauty and elegance to our special occasion. I also loved using a local vendor. Very talented and professional. -

Everything was perfect for my wedding. As a wedding planner I have worked with so many vendors, but I have never worked directly with wedding entertainment. SS made it so easy for me. I sent them the songs I wanted played and different events of the wedding, preceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and they nailed it. My guest loved the lived musicians and it created such a timeless, romantic, and elegant atmosphere as opposed to a DJ or Band. Then we just created a dancing playlist for the rest of the evening. Thank you Summit Strings & Steve! -

Steve and his team at Summit Strings were fantastic to work with. Our daughter requested a special song to walk down the aisle to and they learned to play the song for her. They also went above and beyond to provide live audio for the ceremony so that we would not have a microphone stand to distract from the photography. We really enjoyed working with Summit Strings and recommend you hire them for your event. -

They were perfect!

We just had Summit Strings perform at our wedding (July 2023), and I could not recommend them enough! Steve was so kind- he helped us in a pinch when we forgot the microphones for our outdoor ceremony. The music was amazing and added an air of elegance to the ceremony and cocktail hour. They had a huge repertoire of both contemporary and classic songs, and everyone loved them! I would highly recommend Summit Strings to anyone looking for beautiful music for their wedding!! -

We hired Summit Strings for our wedding at Twickenham House and Hall in Jefferson, NC in July, 2023. Their quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value, and flexibility were 5 out of 5! All of our guests raved about the ceremony music and I am very thankful to Steve and his team for making it all happen and working hard for the songs I requested. They even found a stellar vocalist to sing Stand by Me and WOW was he amazing...everyone was amazed by his voice and how he was captivating. I can't thank Summit Strings enough for being part of our special day and would hire them again and again and again! 5 out of 5 stars recommended!!! -

Great Rehearsal Dinner Music
Summit Springs provided great music and enhanced our cocktail hour and dining experience. They played a full two hours and played music requested beautifully and dressed appropriately for the formal dinner. The duo added to entire weekend and proved well worth the dollars spent. Live music of this quality elevated the evening and added to the wedding weekend. We were 100% pleased with the music played. They were punctual, talented and classy in every way. -

We had one chance to get this right as this was our only daughter’s wedding, and we chose Summit Strings for so many reasons! Reputation is one thing, but to experience professionalism and perfection is quite another! We used Summit Strings for our ceremony/cocktail hour music for our September 17th wedding, and we were so happy we did! I was planning a wedding NC from NY so it was important to me that I had a vendor team I could trust and Steve and his team absolutely fit the bill! Steve was totally receptive to what my husband and I wanted. We loved that we could give him explicit requests on certain pieces of music, but we could also trust him to play pieces that aligned with the overall feeling of the day. I would absolutely recommend Summit Strings to anyone and everyone! -

We had Summit Strings perform at an outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We had the string quartet and they were amazing. They learned a new song that my daughter wanted for her recessional. They were prompt, brought their own canopy for cover, and set up in an area at the rear of the setting that was unobtrusive. They played beautiful prelude music and during the cocktail hour they performed a mix of songs and everyone commented how classy they were. -

Super flexible and great sound
I was an ADHD bride and they were able to come thru despite my procrastination and disorganization during this God awful pandemic. And by came through I mean they learned a song for us, sounded amazing, made it up a steep and muddy hill armed with kitty litter and a golf cart. These guys were awesome and really made the ceremony special. Classy as hell. -

Above and Beyond
I arranged for a duo from Summit Strings to play for my proposal, and it was worth every penny. They braved a chilly day, truly going above and beyond to make our engagement day one we will never forget. From the first note, my now fiancée was in tears as Summit Strings incorporated a couple of special songs into their playlist. We will be asking them to return for the wedding next year and, without question, would endorse anyone interested in live music for an event to book them. -

The musical element that elevated our event
Summit Strings (Steve and Katie) performed for Hello Seven’s first annual Hello Seven Foundation Holiday Dinner and they went above and beyond to add an elevated feel to our event. From time of booking, all the way to the time of the event, Steve was very communicative and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend booking Summit Strings for any event as they add the perfect feel with their variety of music styles and professionalism. -

Simply amazing!
Couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience! Summit Strings went above & beyond for my November wedding. Steve and the musicians were utterly amazing! They not only nailed our musical vision to a tee but they provided some of the most memorable performances we could have ever asked for! They are extremely professional, arrived early and were flexible when we had a slight delay. We could not have had any better musicians for our ceremony!
