Videography mastermind!!

We were so amazingly impressed with Dan Riggs at Summit Hills Studio. The man is a videography genius!!! He is so creative with his shots and is a mastermind when it comes to editing. We gave him a song for a highlight video and he seamlessly edited to the beat and made our wedding day look like a super high-budget music video! It was shot and edited to absolute perfection. We also got a full length recap of the day (1.5 hours) that included the ceremony, speeches, dances, etc., and that was also shot and edited beautifully. We really felt like we were reliving the day 🥰
He’s also a very fun personality and has a calming presence. He truly makes you feel comfortable on your wedding day and adds additional joy to an already very joyous day. All of our guests loved him too. We were definitely beyond impressed with his professionalism and talent. Hiring Summit Hills Studio is something you certainly won’t regret!

Love their work!

Summit Hill Studios was a great videographer for our wedding! Everyone is very friendly, responsive with emails and got some great footage of our wedding day! They were also very flexible with adding additional filming time last minute. And we love our highlight video!

Awesome Video!

We were very pleased with Dan for our wedding. He got along great with the photographer and the communication was spot on. We loved the video and had such a great day with him. I would recommend him for any wedding!

Dan is the man!

We are so pleased with our work from Dan and his team. Dan was very responsive to all the many questions I had leading up to the wedding and afterwards. He got every request we gave him and the video turned out so good! I especially appreciate that we got a little extra with the guest interviews as we had out parents along with my grandparents interviewed on our special day. This is something extra special as we both have grandparents who have passed away. He even went to my family’s farm with us to to get some footage after our ceremony and included a cow in our film which made us laugh because we did not expect that but it was perfectly fitting!
From the first look to the first dance, Dan captured our day so well! We cried (I bawled) when we got our highlight film! Then when we watched our whole video, ceremony-first dances, it was just like we were there again. There is so much you don’t remember from the special day because it goes so fast, that’s why we chose to get a videographer. I am so glad we have all of our film to look back on! I’d highly recommend Summit Hill Studios for videography.

Absolutely Amazing!

We used Summit Hill for our wedding video in September and absolutely loved them! Not only did they capture our day exactly how we imagined but they were incredible to work with in the months leading up to our wedding as well! We would definitely recommend them to anyone! :)

Truly amazing for a much better price

I had a great experience with Dan and his team. I hired them for my wedding with my wife and I would have never noticed a camera guy was there if he didn't introduce himself at the beginning of the day. Not only that but our highlight video is amazing, I can't wait to see the whole dvd package!

BEST videographer in the game

I am so glad I chose Summit Hill Studios for my wedding day! Not only did they give me more than I paid for, the quality of the videography was amazing. Thanks to Dan and his crew, I have a wedding film that I can look back on for the rest of my life with multiple camera angles all woven into a skilled video. They were very pleasant to work with, efficient, and talented. Summit Hill Studios = AMAZING!

Summit Hill Studios was very responsive every time we reached out and always got back to us in a timely manner if we had any concerns about our wedding package. Our wedding video got lost in the mail, and they sent us a new package and we got it within the week. We loved our wedding clip and couldn't be happier with the experience they provided for us. Thank you again for capturing our day so wonderfully!

Amazing And The Best

Summit Hill did a great job with helping my husband and I capture our special days. We got married during COVID time so we had the Wedding ceremony one day and the Reception on a different day. Our videographer Dan did an awesome job with interviewing our parents to share words of wisdom and encouragement. We will forever have this memory.

Summit Hill Studios work is amazing

My husband and I are so glad we picked Dan to tape our wedding. The video turned out amazing. Dan knew exactly what to film to make the wedding video look amazing. He captured our personalities perfectly. The highlight video and the full length video was so much fun to watch. He provided links to share with others and everyone who watched the film loved it. Worth every penny!!!

Deciding to hire a videographer for our wedding was a last minute decision and we are so glad we did!!! Dan with Summit Hill Studios was recommended by the person who did my dress alterations. Dan was offering a covid package for couples having to downsize their wedding but still wanted a video to share with those loved ones not able to attend in person. We decided to upgrade our package after speaking with Dan. He did a fabulous job!!! He captured so many moments that typically would go unnoticed, that we get to cherish forever!! Dan sent our sneak peek video the night of our wedding AND our full day video within two weeks!!! We would recommend Dan with Summit Hill Studios 100%. We can't thank you enough Dan for capturing our special day!!

Exactly What We Wanted

We are so happy with our video! Dan listened to what we wanted and gave us exactly that. The sound and imagery is of highest quality. To top it all off, Dan is a very warm and friendly man, and so wonderful to work with! We highly recommend his services!

Professional and Accommodating

I found Summit Hill Studios on Facebook when I saw an advertisement for Covid-19 wedding videos for $399. When I looked up Dan's reviews and watched his prior wedding videos, I knew that I wanted him to film our small 20-person wedding. Dan was responsive, knowledgeable, and communicated well with us to ensure our video was exactly what we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Dan moved around the church like a super ninja-I barely noticed his presence as he jumped from camera to camera to get all the best angles. When my husband and I got our wedding video back (which came back after only 6 days!), it was perfect. He picked the best angles for each part of the ceremony so that everyone could be seen perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend Summit Hill Studios for your wedding videographer. Dan is a kind and talented person who will help capture your day beautifully!

The perfect videographer for our micro-wedding!

We were so happy with Dan Riggs' videography! After our original videographer had to cancel a few weeks before the wedding, we found Dan through a Facebook ad with an offer for ceremony-only videography. It's EXACTLY what we were looking for with our micro-wedding. It was one of the easiest decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process. Dan was extremely professional, friendly, and sent us our edited ceremony on our wedding weekend. We were so surprised! We're so happy with the final product and are so thankful we hired him. While we tried to do a Facebook Live during the wedding, many of our family members who couldn't make it to our intimate wedding due to COVID restrictions really appreciated Dan's ceremony video because they could hear us so much clearer and see our facial expressions so much better because of the multiple camera angles. We would hire him again and again!!

Amazing video!

We will strongly recommend Dan from Summit Hill Studios to any of our friends who get married in the future. We had to downsize our wedding due to Covid-19 and he had an awesome package that gave us a high quality video to share with those family and friends who could not be there with us. He had many different camera angles but at the same time we didn't even notice him there! My husband and I watched the video immediately after receiving it in the mail and we were amazed at how well he captured the best moment of our lives!! Thanks again, Dan!!!

Great experience

Dan was awesome to work with. Due to COVID, almost all of our plans changed rather suddenly and Dan was so flexible with the chaos. We originally were never planning on a videographer but decided to since almost all of our intended guests couldn’t come. Looking back, we should of had him hired from day one. The video is going to be so great to look back on for years to come. I highly recommend Dan and encourage anyone who doesn’t know if they should get a videographer to do it. You won’t regret it.

Fantastic Video!

We hired Dan with less than a month before our wedding to film our ceremony so that we could show it to family and friends that could not be there in person due to COVID-19. We are so grateful that we chose Dan as our videographer. The video was high quality and he captured our love so well. We can’t wait to watch it again and again. Fun and Professional

Dan Riggs worked so well with my giant bridal party and made it really fun! We had 14 bridesmaids and groomsmen and he did great at capturing all of their personalities. The ceremony footage was great. You could hear everything perfectly and we got several different angles. All the speeches were fun to watch again. Sometimes you forget exactly what was said in the moment, so it's great to have a video to capture those moments forever. I was really happy with the video, and the bonus footage was fun to watch. I gave my parents and in-laws a copy and they loved it too. Me and my husband will re-watch the video every year on our anniversary. I would highly recommend Summit Hill Studios for your wedding!

Dream Sequence

I planned my wedding for 16 months. I received a lot of advice over those months and hiring a videographer was a must. Photos and videos are really important to me so I had no problem spending money on this. Dan did such an amazing job leading up to the wedding, making sure he knew exactly what we wanted. And the day of the wedding he was there for us and captured all the best moments. (He even went out of his way and volunteered to go grab our marriage license that I left at the hotel!) I would HIGHLY recommend Summit Hill Studios!!

Dan is a very professional and friendly person. We made a great choice by going with him than others. We have met many videographers before and he is the only one whom we find most comfortable and within our budget. The video is of great quality and wonderfully edited. He is very generous to upload the video online for our family members to view it.He was very flexible and covered even part of the wedding. We had two ceremonies and he covered both of them beautifully. We are so glad to go with him. He gave us exactly what we expected. The best part is he is very patient and helpful before and after the wedding. We would highly recommend him.

Our wedding video by Summit Hill Studios was amazingly well done and worth every penny. Not only was the finished product everything we could have hoped for, but Dan was a blast to work with. Getting a wedding videographer and hiring Dan was the BEST thing that we could have done for our wedding day! He was so easy to work with before, during and after our wedding and our video is very beautiful! He captured all of the big moments that you’d expect but he also took video of the little moments that you wouldn’t expect. We would hire Summit Hill Studios over and over and over again! Dan Riggs has such a fun personality that made us all feel at ease during a stressful day. WE LOVE OUR VIDEO! All of it! There were so many moments that we had forgotten even happened and were surprised to see when we got our video back! I cry every time I watch it. We hired Summit Hill studios for videography and we could not be happier with the final result! I found the company just by googling and did not have any referrals but I could not have lucked out any better. Dan met with me the week of the wedding to go over all the details and the execution on the wedding day was perfect. We had to wait a few months after the wedding to receive the final product but it was worth the wait and no big deal at all. The price is by far the lowest throughout the twin cities for all of the services you get and the quality of the video. I loved how the highlight film was more than just moving pictures but it captured speaking moments from the day that helped make it extra special. I would highly recommend Summit Hill Studios and Dan for videographer. It is some of the best money spent on the wedding!

We had Summit Hill Studios DJ our wedding in Saint Paul recently and they were phenomenal! Dan was very easy to schedule with, and followed up with video chats so he could really get a feel for what we wanted on our wedding day. He contacted the venue coordinator and scouted our location to make sure everything was perfect the day of. We were originally just going to have an ipod playlist, and THANK GOD we didn't. Hugh and Dan played off the crowd, and could change things up depending on the vibe. They had everyone on the dance floor. Guests had a blast. They were also able to help guide the evening with speeches, cocktail hour, clinking of glasses, etc. These were all things we hadn't thought of, that went seamlessly with their services. I would recommend Dan and his team to everyone. He went above and beyond what we had expected. They really made our big day special!

There is not enough I can say to express our appreciation for Dan Riggs. He was incredibly friendly and professional from start to finish. Dan was genuinely interested in our musical likes and dislikes during the planning process. He was always focused on choosing the right music that would be perfectly fitting to the atmosphere of our wedding event. He provided ceremony music, happy hour music, and dance music late into the evening. He was easy to plan with and a pleasure to work with on the day of our wedding. He was dependable, approachable, and very knowledgable. He exceeded our expectations at every turn. Dan and his company truly set the bar when it comes to providing DJ services for any event. We are so happy we chose Dan to DJ at our wedding! Th ceremony music was exactly what we wanted and the reception was a blast, he had everyone dancing all night long. My dad had an odd request (of course) to go along with his speech and Dan worked with him to make it memorable. I also liked how compact his set-up is, more room for dancing! No cheesy disco ball, no chicken dance, and no Buble' as requested! Dan was great and nice and I will definitely recommend him to friends and family.

Dan couldn't have been more friendly. What he said he could do for us he did . We met initially and discussed services an prices. Any emails sent, he responded in a quick manner. We felt so comfortable with Dan during the videography and the wedding/reception. Dan did all the music for our wedding plus the reception/dance was done superbly. I asked for a little extra video of my parents dancing and Dan did it without question. I would highly recommend Dan's company. We enjoy watching the video of the wedding and the reception and see new things all the time. This guy knows what he's doing.

Found music that we thought wouldn't be possible considering our eclectic music tastes. The DJ was an integeral part of our ceremony, because the music had been incorporated into the music. We provided a list of music that would be needed for the ceremony and first dances. Would recommend their service to anyone who needs a DJ for any occassion.

Dan was SO great to work with for our wedding reception! He made the process so easy was great at communicating along the way. Our guests loved the dance at our wedding and we still get so many great comments about it. He truly made it a night to remember for everyone! Did a nice job, good atmosphere, worked well with us over email - which was helpful as we were out of town when we scheduled, so we were able to meet once and the rest of the communication was all through email.

Dan was a fantastic DJ who took the time to get to know my wife and I prior to our wedding. His extra attention to detail meant that our big day was everything we could have hoped for -we had several songs where the entire reception party was emptied onto the dance floor (even our elderly relatives)!

I can't say enough good things about Dan and the whole team at Summit Hill Studios- I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone planning a big event.

Dan and Andy were awesome at our wedding! We really enjoyed our preliminary meetings while figuring out all the details. Dan made the process super simple!
At the wedding, they were super flexible. Our ceremony ended up being much shorter than expected and we ended up moving everything forward in the schedule. Dan and Andy did this with ease.
Dan was very engaging with my guests while not stealing the spotlight.

Dan was great. Very laid back but serious at the same time. He was easy going and went with the flow extremely well with the stresses of a wedding day. Dan went over the top when our wedding had to be moved inside do to rain, going up and down the elevator, grabbing decorations/tables/whatever was available to make the inside portion that was used for the ceremony to still look extra special. Absolutely would recommend anyone to Dan!

Dan Riggs and Summit Hill Studios were truly great to work with. Their can-do attitude combined with their experienced advice made it easy, fun and affordable for us to pull off an extraordinary wedding reception and celebration of 32 years together.

They provided a video photo show from our family photo albums. They took pictures of family and friends throughout the evening. We were able to have our guests send in requests for their favorite dance music. They set up the sound and lights and provided all the DJ and emcee services through the evening. And, everyone had a great time with them at the photo booth. They even made it possible for us to webcast our party to our friends who were not able to be there in person!

We had really high expectations for our event and Dan made it possible for us to hit a home run. We thank - and highly recommend them.

We hired Dan to capture our daughter's wedding in Rochester! He was responsive, very pleasant to work with, and professional. We also really appreciated that he captured the day beautifully, without dragging his camera up front and interrupting the special moments! Most of the day, I really didn't know where he was!! Get the Video

Videography is one of the things I think a lot of people question because it can be SO costly but after working with Dan I tell everyone to get the video because it is possible to find a package you want for a price you can afford. Summit Hill Studios was super helpful and flexible in setting up a package that had everything we needed for a budget that didn't make me want to turn the other way and run like most video options out there. Some people will argue "you get what you pay for" but even at a lower cost and shorter amount of hour coverage we are extremely happy with both our short summary video and our whole day video. Everything that mattered was captured and edited in a professional manner. I remember seeing my parents wedding video and cringing but I'm confident someday our kids will look back at ours and actually be excited to watch it. Many of our family and friends noted that they didn't even notice Dan was there in the background capturing all the shots. As a stressed out bride I can also say it was great to have a vendor who knew what he was doing and where he needed to be without me having to stop and address it. He was also very helpful in keeping things organized and the ball rolling for the grand march, which again, this stressed bride was grateful for. The only thing I would have liked more of was communication post wedding, but due to Covid and other unforseen issues I understand why there was a delay. He was always good about getting back to me after I would reach out to him as well. He did a great job and was very professional and as I've already noted we are very happy with both of our films and so happy we made the choice to invest in the video. The day truly goes by so fast you will definitely wish you could look back on it some day, let Summit Hill Studios capture the magic for you.

Our DJ kept everyone dancing from the start of the dance to the very last song. We had provided a list of songs and didn't hear a lot of them unfortunately. However, the DJ did a great job of reading the crowd to keep the party going. Highly recommended.

Covid wedding 6/6

Dan did an amazing job helping us capture our wedding on 6/6! We had to split time due to the current Covid-19 issues going on so we haven’t received our full highlights back yet but I am sure from the preview of our ceremony it will be amazing! We are so thankful he was able to still come to help us capture our day and especially our ceremony. He did a great job making it seem like he was in multiple places at once as he was able to cover multiple angles of our ceremony and day. He was quick to get us our ceremony back so we could share it with those who couldn’t be there due to group restriction limits. I look forward to seeing the final results when we are able to film our reception! Thanks for everything Dan we truly appreciate your talents for getting everything for us to enjoy years to come!

If I were to offer anyone getting married a piece of advice it would be to spend the extra money, or somehow work it into your budget to have a videography service the day of your wedding. Pro Tip: Hire Dan Riggs with Summit Hill Studios! My husband and I were fortunate enough to win a videography contest offered by Dan Riggs and I can’t express enough how amazing the video is! The whole day Dan is right where he needed to be to capture all the moments you want captured and then some you never even knew happened. He is so easy going and funny you don’t really realize he is capturing the most special day of your life. To have a video of your wedding day is so special, you can relive your day at any moment, honestly priceless. Overall we thought the DJ services went very well. Everyone was on the dance floor for the majority of the night. We wish there would have been more of a mix of old songs and new songs instead of all old songs right away in the beginning. We had a few guests share the our DJ was had been unfriendly regarding song requests and some songs were repeated. Other than that we thought it went great!

Happy with how our highlight video turned out. Took awhile to get our video, but it was worth the wait. We have already watched it so many times, and we are very glad we decided to have them record our wedding day. We will remember it forever!

Please DO NOT hire Summit Hill Studios for your videographer needs. We were extremely heart broken to find that Dan Riggs and his "assistant" DID NOT CAPTURE ANY OF OUR SPEECHES. We found out by watching the video.... Dan Riggs did not even have the professionalism to contact us directly to tell us he did not capture them! We took him to court and WON our case. He still has NOT paid us back. We were married on Sept. 10th, 2016. Poor quality, poor customer service.
