Perfect for our winter wedding

Matt and Kendra were the photographers for our wedding back in February in Rochester, MN and let me tell you... these two rock! We were very picky when choosing vendors and their style perfectly matched what we were looking for. They made photos a fun and exciting part of our day. They captured our ceremony and reception just how we wanted it and we hardly knew they were there. The pictures turned out beautifully and we could not be happier. These are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet and I guarantee that you will not regret choosing them. We can not thank them enough!

Summer street

We were so lucky to have Kendra and Matt involved in our wedding day! Prior to the event, I was very nervous about planning around several complex family relationships during photos, and Kendra very generously spent significant time on the phone with me workshopping ideas for how to make the day go smoothly- and it was successfully drama free!
Unfortunately Kendra and Matt had to send in substitute photographers for our wedding day- for a reason totally out of their control - but thanks to the extensive notes and their excellent choice in substitute photographers, the experience was seamless and the photos turned out wonderfully.
Kendra and Matt still did the post-processing on our photos, and we were really grateful that they were willing to send a few photos early so we could use one on our thank you card. They provided us a huge gallery of amazing photos, every time we look through it we remember another priceless moment. They were also very helpful in getting us some last minute edits just in time for us to take advantage of Black Friday shipping deadlines. Thank you for everything Kendra and Matt!!

Love them!

We were married in July 2018 so this is embarrassingly late, but: Hiring Summer Street Photography was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. Kendra and Matt came recommended from another wedding photographer I know who said they had the storytelling, unposed, light-filled vibe we were looking for. We planned our wedding from afar, but Kendra was always easy to communicate with and worked with our budget. Even though we didn't meet Matt until the day of our wedding, he was truly wonderful at directing/posing us but also took some of the best candid/fly-on-the-wall photos that I've seen. I'd emphasized that my big desire was to have candid photos of my dear family and friends and he delivered! I have several photos that bring tears to my eyes because they perfectly capture the joy we felt on that day. Oh -- And after talking with friends who have gotten married, the preplanning they do with you sounds to be one-of-a-kind!

I honestly would have paid much more to hire Kendra and Matt than we did. Highly, highly recommend!

Beautiful photos and wonderful people

Matt and Kendra are an amazing team and very kind people. Everything about the way they organize, communicate, and provide information to clients is very well thought out and organized. They did our engagement and wedding photos, and we were blown away with them. They are both very artistic in the way they take photos and use the environment around them. We also really appreciated their coaching through the process and during the photo shoot. They are very responsive to email and great about giving feedback. They made planning our out-of-state wedding easy. They also do beautiful prints of the photos afterwards. We speak highly enough of our experience working with Matt and Kendra. We would highly recommend them!

Fantastic!

We were recommended to Summer Street Photography, by a friend, and they were fantastic! They were very personable throughout the whole process, sending a welcome packet, creating a photo shot list, and even coming to Chicago for our engagement photos and wedding. Matt and Kendra are also great photographers - we loved how the photos turned out and have gotten several compliments on them. They also delivered them so quickly, less than 2 weeks after the wedding. They are great at capturing candid moments. They made us feel comfortable, and we never felt like we were in unnatural poses. We would definitely recommend to anyone!

Summer Street Photography will make your wedding vision come to life through their immense talent and exquisite professionalism. In addition to their beautiful photography, Kendra and Matt are extremely thoughtful, communicative, and detail oriented – characteristics that were apparent from the first video conference we had to discuss our wedding vision. From that moment on, our relationship with Kendra and Matt felt more like a friendship than a vendor/client relationship. I recommend reaching out to Summer Street regardless of where your wedding location is, because Matt and Kendra travel often and may already have plans to be in your area. (Our wedding was on Cape Cod in September 2018).

Matt and Kendra worked with us to design a custom photography package that was within our budget and encompassed all of our photo expectations. Kendra and I talked several times on the phone leading up to our September wedding, and she patiently explained how the photography would be incorporated into our schedule so that I could make informed decisions about our photography needs. Summer Street also provided a schedule that we filled out and had access to leading up to our wedding. Knowing that we were all on the same page prior to our wedding day alleviated a lot of stress and anxiety for me.

Matt was our photographer on the day of our wedding and he was masterful in skill and professionalism. Our ceremony and reception were at New Seabury Country Club on Cape Cod, and we had several unique photo requests (including golf cart rides across the course for photos on the beach). Matt handled all of the day’s scheduling transitions seamlessly. In addition to our beautiful portrait shots, he took amazing candids during our ceremony and reception that perfectly captured the spirit and emotion of the day. Several of our guests commented on how Matt never got in the way of important moments or disrupted the flow of the celebration. When we received our wedding photos (only a few weeks after our wedding!), Matt had managed to capture so many moments and details during the 5 hours he was with us. After our wedding, Matt and Kendra quickly communicated when we could expect our online gallery and our thumb drive of photos. When the thumb drive arrived in the mail, it was tucked inside a beautiful case containing prints from our wedding that Matt and Kendra had prepared for us; the gift is now displayed in our living room. That thoughtfulness was the perfect culmination of our wonderful and personal experience with Summer Street Photography.

Fabulous Experience with Summer Street Photography

We got married a month ago, and we had such a great experience with Summer Street Photography! Cannot say enough good things about working with Matt and Kendra. Matt was our photographer and even though we didn't meet him until the day of the wedding (Kendra managed all the pre-work) working with him was super comfortable and seamless. We were a little nervous about only having 1 photographer, but it was perfect for our 75 guest wedding. The pictures came out amazing. The most important thing for us was photos that captured the essence of the day (as opposed to lots of perfectly posed shots). Not only did Matt and Kendra deliver photos that bring me back to the emotions of love, joy, and gratitude from the day there is also some truly beautiful portraiture. Best of both worlds with these two- look no further for your wedding photographer.

We had an amazing experience working with Kendra and Matt for our July 17th wedding at Minnetonka Orchards in Minnesota. My husband and I initially met with Matt at a local coffee shop to view some examples of their past wedding work, and to talk about what our vision was for our special day. We immediately felt comfortable with him, and we fell in love with the romantic style of their wedding photography, and their ability to capture candid moments and motion in their photos. We primarily communicated with Kendra regarding scheduling and planning for the wedding day. She was always very prompt and cheerful in her communication, and made herself readily available as a source of support if we had any questions or needs. She made sure to check in via text and email as the wedding day drew closer, and it made us feel incredibly supported and cared for. During posed photos at the wedding, Matt and Kendra made us feel at ease in front of the camera, and were able to capture the playful spirit and joy that my husband and I, and our family and friends, were filled with. We could not be more in love with the images that they captured of our wedding! Matt and Kendra are incredibly talented photographers with an eye for light, and for capturing the energy and spirit of a moment in their photos. Looking at them brings us back into each moment of our wedding day, and lets us in on some of the moments that we missed in the hustle and bustle of the event. We are so happy that these will be the photos that we share with our families and that we pass down to our children and grandchildren. One of the most important pieces of our wedding was making sure we had a photographer that we loved so booking Summer Street Photography was a no-brainier. We had a wonderful experience working with Kendra and Chuck from Summer Street Photography. Not only does Summer Street deliver exceptional photography, but also a wealth of knowledge about events/weddings. Chuck was our photographer but we interacted mostly with Kendra during the planning process by email/phone. We had the pleasure of working with Chuck (and Kendra in coordination) for our wedding this fall. We booked Summer Street very early on in our wedding planning because we immediately fell in love with their candid, light-filled style. For the next ten months, we found ourselves increasingly pleased with our choice to hire Summer Street. One of the most important things for my husband and I when planning our wedding was finding the best photographers to capture one of the most important days of our life. We took this task on first, researched endlessly, and met with several photographers. Our search came to an end when we met with Summer Street Photography! It was clear from the beginning that Kendra and Matt's work spoke for itself. They are both incredibly talented, have a great eye, and create the most beautifully natural pictures. All of these aspects were incredibly important to us. But beyond their talent, Kendra and Matt are kind, welcoming and truly care about their clients. They made my husband and I feel so comfortable.

Summer Street Photography is a rare gem - Matt and Kendra truly understand client service, their quality of work is of the highest, they are extremely professional, and they make the wedding planning process a complete breeze. When we initially hired Summer Street Photography to shoot our June 2013 wedding, I was drawn to their style and the obvious talent. I didn't even put a lot of thought into what it was going to be like to spend such a big day with them. In retrospect, that probably should have been an important criteria, and we just lucked out that Matt and Kendra were the complete package!

From the beginning, working with Kendra and Matt was a complete joy. We talked to them over Skype for an initial introduction. On the business side of things, I mainly worked with Kendra -- she was very responsive and professional. They provided great feedback on our plans to help ensure that everything ran smoothly. They were incredibly accommodating when we opted for a second photographer and an additional hour after the contract was signed.

Matt and Kendra are both so personable and friendly, I couldn't help but think of them as friends by the end of the wedding. They have perfected the art of blending in with the rest of the guests, while managing to catch the right moment in a photograph or being at your side if you need them. Simply put, they readily adapt to the moment. I think they even watched our sleeping nephew while everyone was eating -- an incredibly thoughtful gesture that was way beyond the typical responsibilities of a photographer! My husband infamously hates having his photo taken, but they kept things relaxed and fun.

I was so surprised when I received the USB drive with the photos and the link to our online gallery far more quickly than I ever imagined -- particularly given it was their busy season. We're having a hard time narrowing down which photos we want to print; however, we couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Summer Street Photography!

We used Summer Street Photography for our winter engagement photos and our summer wedding photos. We planned our wedding from out of state, and after reviewing hundreds of photographer websites, we fell in love with the style and vision of Kendra and Matt at Summer Street Photography. As we were unable to travel to Massachusetts a lot prior to our wedding, our communication was mainly email and one initial Skype session. Kendra was extremely responsive to my emails, even when I asked her wedding questions that did not exactly relate to photography! She was a great help with my planning and I appreciated her advice and referrals! We met Kendra and Matt for the first time during our engagement session in Boston and they were both calm and set us at ease. We appreciated the way they made us feel comfortable and we received countless compliments on the photos. On the day of our wedding, Kendra and Matt were flexible with our vision and seemed excited about the photos they were taking - which made us feel confident that they were capturing every moment. We recently received a gallery link and our flash drive of photos and we have already picked out our favorites! Summer Street also offers additional post-wedding services, including album creation, prints, and gallery wraps. We definitely plan to utilize these options as Kendra and Matt each have an amazing eye for photography and use their artistic abilities to create amazing pieces.

Where do I even start.....Kendra and Matt were such a joy to work with! Since they were in Boston, and we, in Minnesota - we never got a chance to meet in person before choosing them, but via phone calls, skype and emails - they were always super responsive with all of our questions. From the engagement shoot all the way to our wedding photos, we could not be more thrilled with the work they produce. Their attention to detail, kindness, easy-going personalities (especially when it came to corralling all of our guests for pics).....all of it just makes them a winning combination! Especially considering it was the first Indian wedding they did - I would hands down hire them all over again - and I hope to use them again for future events :)

It’s been a month (ish) that I’m now a Mrs., the hullabaloo is calming down (changing one’s name is quite a process!), and it’s high time I let you in on a secret. My wedding day would not have been as wonderful, or as totally perfect, without the kindness of Kendra and Matt at Summer Street Photography. Every year they choose a couple as part of their “Pay it Forward” program…and well, they shoot the wedding for free. Yes. True. This year, they chose my husband and I. I couldn’t be more grateful or humbled.

Besides being spectacular people, Their pictures speak for themselves…really they do, romantic and ethereal, creative and whimsical. But, it’s unlike any other experience really. They come to you as a couple, as professionals who care, as two artistic minds, and as two cameras snapping from different angles constantly sharing different thoughts. I love our pictures. We were referred to Matt & Kendra of Summer Street Photography from our friends who were getting married a few months prior to us. They had nothing but glowing comments about their experience with them and we are happy to report that our experience was the same. Throughout the months before the wedding, they were both so helpful and communicated with us often sharing tips and guidance. From shooting our engagement shoot in -11 degree weather with windchill in the middle of winter in Boston to jumping on a jetski during our wedding portraits to get just the right angle for a perfect shot, they delivered above and beyond. We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the Boston/RI area and they also are willing to travel. We have already recommended them to several friends who are getting married in 2013!

Summer Street Photography is fantastic! We met with Kendra, one of the two photographers at Summer Street (the other is Matt), several months before our wedding, and were immediately impressed. Before we booked Summer Street, Kendra met with us for over an hour, answering all of our questions, asking excellent ones to us about what we envisioned for our wedding day photography and showing us a portfolio of Summer Street's work. On our wedding day (6/16/12), Kendra and Matt led us through getting ready and ceremony photos with ease, conveying their good humor, patience and creativity as they wrangled our wedding party of 18 and many extended family members for photos. They blended into the crowd at the reception, capturing an array of wonderful photos and not missing a moment of the celebration. They were prompt in sending along our wedding photos and have been excellent in answering questions we have about printing and creating a wedding album. Summer Street exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend their services for a wedding! I would use Summer Street in the future for any big event in our lives.

Hiring Summer Street Photography was the best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process. Kendra and Matt are fantastic photographers and great people. We could not be happier with our wedding photos. Our wedding day was VERY rainy and therefore, we could not take any photos outside as we planned to. Kendra and Matt were so flexible and found covered outdoor spaces so we could have natural light and the same outdoor look. Kendra even went outside in the pouring rain to photograph our bouquets in the natural light! They were so prepared for our wedding day and actually helped the whole wedding go more smoothly. My new husband and I highly recommend Summer Street Photography!

I cannot possibly put into words how happy I am with my wedding photography. Of all the factors that go into wedding planning, they say the most important choice should be your photographer as their work will be the only thing that lasts. So, I searched and researched about local photographers. I could not have been more pleased when I found Summer Street. They gave me exactly what i was hoping for at exactly what I had hoped for budget wise. Beyond that, the artistic quality of their work is unparalleled in wedding photography. I really felt they understood who my groom and I are as people and as a couple and captured it in the photography. They also have incredible talent for capturing the surroundings and the small details of the day. Alos, they are just really incredibly awesome people who are so nice and communicative and you can tell that capturing the day in photos is just as important to them as it is to you. Right before the wedding, I had one of the most emotional moments of my day with Kendra beside me talking me through it like a friend. These are great photographers and great people.

I am so, so pleased with how our engagement photos turned out! We're getting married out-of-state but needed local services for our engagement photos. My high-end hair and beauty stylists dropped so many photographer names to check out, but their prices were outrageous. I stumbled upon Summer Street online, and I was really drawn to their photography style in terms of light. We booked them, sight unseen, and hoped for the best, especially given the reasonable price in the typically overpriced Boston market. Kendra and Matt were wonderful -- timely, kind, gave good direction, and very professional. We shot in the public library, Back Bay, and public garden, and I think they took over 600 photos in under 2 hours. They said to expect the cut of the best 200 in around a week or so, but they were so prompt and had them ready the next day. We had a really hard time narrowing it down to our 50 choices that we paid for because all of the photos were so beautiful. The edited copies were sent out a mere few days later. Our shoot was in April, so I would imagine the timing might be slightly longer during peak wedding season, but it was very clear that Kendra and Matt are really prompt with all of their work. Overall, I could not be happier with the services of Summer Street. I know that Kendra and Matt are not originally from Massachusetts, but I secretly hope that they stay here permanently so that I can use them again in the future as our family grows!

Matt and Kendra are so friendly, easy-going, and sensitive that I can't imagine any couple not getting along with them. They take beautiful shots - both candid and posed - and always deliver the final products in stylish, thoughtful packaging. We were amazed at how quickly they got everything to us, and my mom seems to have appreciated working with them, too. Thanks for everything, Kendra and Matt!

Love Love Love!!! I can not express how much we love Kendra and Matt who were our wedding photographers. Since we live abroad, we hired Kendra and Matt based on email interaction (very responsive, friendly and enthusiastic) and one phone call.

We could honestly not be happier with our pictures! We met them for the first time when we came back to the States for our engagement pictures, which turned out sooo amazing.

Kendra and Matt were so great the day of the wedding. They were really calm, professional and friendly. My guests commented specifically on how unobtrusive they were during the day. Guests almost forgot there were photographers around!

If you're debating on hiring them for your wedding, stop thinking and book them! You won't regret it!

Kendra and Matt are absolutely spectacular! Everyone needs to book them now because they are going to be world famous soon! We found them online and after our first meeting I knew they were the perfect photographers for our wedding. I also hoped we would become friends with them because they are the sweetest most down to earth couple ever!
In July we had our engagement session and when those pictures came back I was absolutely floored. It looked like pictures out of a magazine. They were like pieces of art but they were also so intimate. I couldn’t wait for them to photograph our wedding.
Our wedding was set to take place on August 28th with the ceremony and reception outside. Unfortunately Hurricane Irene had different plans for us. Two days before our wedding we had to figure out how to take all of our outdoor events and make them indoors. Kendra and Matt were 100% flexible. They showed up that day and jumped right in. We got our pictures today and I am in tears (of the happy variety). They are SOOO beautiful, beyond words kind of beautiful. They captured every moment I could have imagined and then some. You can truly see how happy we were on that day. I always said I’m not going to be one of those people who put pictures of their wedding all over their house but with pictures this amazing I can’t help myself.
So, in conclusion, Matt and Kendra from Summer Street Photography are the best photographers ever and I feel certain I’m not even slightly exaggerating.

You can't hire Matt and Kendra. They're our photographers for life.

You will not find better photographers than Matt and Kendra. They are top-notch professionals with creative eyes. All you need to do is trust them, a tough thing for a bride to do, but trust them. You absolutely will not regret it.

They took our ideas, brought their own and even gave us polaroids to hold us over until we got our photos a month after our wedding (super speedy too!). We were completely blown away by their professionalism (family/friends were telling us for weeks afterwards how professional they were) and the quality of photos.

We have been raving since the wedding about them. It hasn't wavered.

Summer Street Photography are our family photographers now, we decided, they don't know yet. Seth and I are hiring them for everything from here on out, family photos, baby portraits (not yet! but when we're ready!), graduation photos, anniversary photos...whatever!

Hire them. It'll be the easiest and best decision you will make for your wedding. Guaranteed.

As a stylist, I have worked with quite a few photographers and Kendra is by far one of my favorites! She is professional but so friendly, very clear and concise with her directions and expectations, and makes everyone around her feel comfortable. Her poses are creative and there wasn't a moment that she wasn't on the job to catch a great candid shot. Not to mention, I've never seen such a quick turnaround on getting/seeing the pictures! I would most definitely recommend Summer Street Photography to anyone!

My husband and I planned our wedding in MA all the way from Australia. Organizing a wedding from a different country and time zone has its challenges, but working with people like Kendra and Matt makes the process easier, and the distance forgettable.

From the beginning, I communicated with Kendra, who is an absolute pleasure. She was flexible and understanding (waiting for checks to be sent from Australia!) and was responsive to emails. Throughout our wedding planning, our photography was an area we knew was in capable hands.

Matt was our photographer and the first time we met or saw him was at our wedding. Put simply, Matt was fantastic. He was a calming presence throughout the day, and we felt so comfortable with him. My husband and I were after candid, fun shots, and in Matt, we found a great match. I remember at one point during the reception, my husband and I were at the bridal table looking out and saw our friends milling out on the lawn. We saw Matt spotting the opportunity to take a fun photo of our friends and when we saw that, my husband and I smiled at each other and said that he was perfect. The photo that Matt took of my friends on the lawn remains one of my (many) favorite photos.

His eye for detail and capturing key moments with beauty is truly artistic. At one point during the night, he asked for our rings to photograph. I didn't think anything of it until I received our photos back. Matt took our rings and placed them in our floral centerpieces, taking a photo that is bursting with color and diamonds from our rings.

Like most brides, I have pretty high standards and strong opinions on what I like and don't like. When I received our photos (express posted from Kendra and done speedily fast as we were heading back to Australia), we could not be happier. They are fantastic.

I highly recommend both of them to budding brides. My only regret is that I didn't get to meet Kendra in person!

A young, fun, husband and wife team; it's two for the price of one! We had a great time getting to know Kendra and Matt. They are great to work with, easy going and a great alternative to the traditional wedding industrial complex photographers. The color quality of their photos is what drew us to them and the price kept us there. As they are not traditional, they are somewhat limited in traditional poses. It was only an issue for us because I am not a fan of the more modern poses. They were responsive to email over the course of planning. We didn't have great weather for the engagement session or the wedding, but we made the most of it. We have a lot of great photos now to share with our friends and family and to remember our special day with. That was another great thing, the package includes digital copies that we can do what we want with. So, we can make our own prints and albums as we see fit.

I'll start off by saying that we loved all of the pictures that we DID receive from Summer Street Photography. Matt and Chuck photographed our wedding and unfortunately, they missed a huge part of our reception. Half of our reception was outside and even though there were two photographers, they didn't get a single picture of the outside portion all night. It was decorated and lit up and I'm very sad that we don't have any pictures of it. They also didn't get any pictures of our huge candy bar before it was disturbed or chocolate fountain. They left our getting ready pictures very early to go take pictures of the setup (which was complete) so I'm not sure how this was all missed. After the first dances, they didn't get a single picture of our parents the entire rest of the night or family members that traveled from all over the world to be there because they were all at the outside portion with about 50% of our wedding guests. We were heartbroken. The quality of pictures was great, the content was not. A lot of important pictures (groom with mom, bride with dad) they didn't get any good ones and only sent one option. One of our few requests was that we have natural backdrops for all pictures (no boats or buildings) and the only group poses we got we realized they had boats behind us. We tried to talk to them and simply asked to see the other pictures they took to see if there were better options but they didn't respond to our last email. We were very polite and respectful with our request to see other options and what bothered us most was that after we spend a huge amount of money, they were very rude! They never apologized for missing so much of our wedding and weren't willing to communicate. They were only defensive and very unwilling to help rectify their mistakes.Another family friend used them and apparently they were late and missed her entire getting ready process. Very disappointing since this was our biggest splurge and the one we were most excited about :(
