Spectacular Wedding Weekend in the Woods

The Staff, food, buildings with fireplaces, activities, and accommodations, were absolutely fantastic for my daughter and her now husband's wedding in the middle of October. The cleanliness of the property absolutely perfection along with the logistics side of feeding over 150 people for an entire weekend. The food was delicious and the staff beyond my expectations. Thank you for a memorable Wedding Weekend in the Woods!

    Perfect Wedding at Camp Cody

After scouting tens of New England summer camps and touring a handful, Camp Cody stood out as the premiere spot for our wedding. The grounds are well maintained, the cabins are heated, the camp is right on the water. From there, things only got better. From our first coordination meeting through our final check-out, the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We must add that the food was spectacular. We received compliments from many guests (we had about 140) about both the reception dinner and the other optional meals that are available as part of the package. Huge thanks to Caitriona, Dora, Angie, and the whole Camp Cody crew.

    Loved every second!

This was our dream wedding experience and everything exceeded our expectations! The camp was wonderful and all our overnight guests loved the cabins. In addition, all of the meals were delicious! Our hope was for our guests to get to enjoy the entire weekend at camp and that they did! We were able to utilize the waterfront (canoes, SUPs, kayaks), softball field, basketball court, and more. The ceremony site, cocktail hour, and reception were all at different locations on camp and all were beautiful. The staff was very helpful and always there when needed. They truly provided us with an unforgettable experience and I cannot thank them or recommend them highly enough!

    Dream Wedding Weekend!

I can't even explain in words how much we loved our wedding at Camp Cody! It was an absolute dream weekend full of hiking, campfires and amazing food! Anna was so accommodating and helpful. Camp Cody really bent over backward to give us our dream wedding. They helped with setup more than we even asked for. We had all of our guests stay on site in cabins and it made the weekend even more special to be surrounded by our loves ones all weekend! We had our reception in the Rec Hall and had a company come in and add string lights and it was just so beautiful. We had our ceremony on the beach by the lake and it was just so stunning. Everyone keeps telling us that it was one of the most perfect weekends, (with the most amazing food!) and we are beyond grateful we had it at Camp Cody!

Our recent wedding at Camp Cody was amazing. We had all our guests stay in onsite cabins Fri & Sat night, and it was an absolute blast. There was sports, boating, bonfires, music, and a canoe full of beers all weekend long. I loved having all my family in friends in one place for the entire weekend, as it allowed me to get in a lot of quality time with everyone. Plus, how many brides can say they played a pickup softball game on the morning of their wedding? Our ceremony was gorgeous, overlooking the lake and mountains.
The staff onsite was great, and got everything done behind the scenes with minimal instruction. It is clear they are pros at holding large events, and they really made sure everything was stress-free. The venue is also very relaxed and flexible about any activities you may want to plan (for example, we had large speakers and an outdoor karaoke machine set up late at night with no issue).
The food was a huge hit, and exceeded everyone’s expectations. Everything was delicious and plentiful, and they really take the food seriously (meat smoker for tacos, omelet stations at brunch, and a pizza oven for late night food, for example).
A couple of small caveats - our weather was absolutely perfect. While the venue does have indoor areas, having sunshine definitely made the weekend come together as we envisioned, so the weather factor is a bit of a risk. Also, it will take a little more organization than your normal wedding as you will be in charge of cabin assignments and payments for your guests. If you are not typically very organized, it is something to prepare for.
Overall, we had an incredible weekend, and our guests did too. Many of them said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, and are looking for excuses to plan another event there!

Anna and Camp Cody saved our wedding day and made it an incredible experience! When our venue burned down 4 weeks before our wedding day, Anna offered to step in and make it all happen. From our first meeting with her (picture stressed couple and family 3 weeks out) she immediately put us as ease. And she delivered on everything while keeping us without our original budget, for 160 people! They hosted our "Apres Ski" before the ceremony, the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Our guests raved about the decor, the food and couldn't believe it had all been pulled together so quickly. We cannot recommend Camp Cody enough, they are our super heroes!

My husband and I got married at Camp Cody last May. It was the most amazing experience of my life. Everything was so incredibly perfect, from the beautifully maintained grounds, to the picturesque view of Ossipee Lake, the rustic cabins (with heat and hot water!), the most unbelievable food, an extremely helpful and accommodating staff, the fun camp atmosphere and the love of our friends and family. We had a weekend wedding, with full use of the camp ground and equipment, for the price of a standard 5 hour wedding venue. Our guest, who ranged in all ages, with varied backgrounds and interest, had an absolute blast. There was something for everyone. I received countless feedback, saying it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to, the most delicious food they have ever had at a wedding and the most beautiful views they had ever seen. I give so much credit to the amazing staff that helped to pull off the most memorable weekend. They were always right there when we needed them. Joe and I are forever grateful to Jamie and her crew for creating the wedding of our dreams. If you want a wedding that is a little unconventional and a whole lot of fun, Camp Cody if the venue for you.

We LOVED Camp Cody, and many guests have told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to. We spent worked with the camp's wedding coordinator to create a fantastic wedding weekend, and in the end it EXCEEDED our expectations. Everything was perfect. The food was phenomenal. The setting was relaxed and beautiful. Guests had a great time canoeing, swimming, playing basketball, and enjoying campfires. The dining hall was an excellent setting for the reception with plenty of room for dancing and a deck to cool down on outside. The cabins were comfortable for the guests (bathrooms, hot water, electricity, and heat). Of 240 reception guests, just over 100 stayed Friday night and 150 stayed at the camp on Saturday. There was plenty of room for all. We highly recommend Camp Cody.

AMAZING! The camp is beautiful, the staff is professional, helpful and friendly. We did not have to worry about much with so many staff members willing to help. All of our guests had nothing but great things to say about the venue and staff. Camp Cody was such a beautiful, fun place to have our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Also, the food is delicious!

We got married at Camp Cody and was the most amazing laid back spot right on the lake! All our family and friends loved it! The food was AMAZING! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. It was so awesome to have a weekend wedding with everyone and now one had to leave. Everything turned out perfect!
Thanks again Camp Cody for making our weekend so special!

We got married about 40 days ago at Camp Cody. Our wedding weekend was everything we could ask for. We had a full weekend of events and a lot of guests, so this did make it a little bit on the expensive side, but it was unique and a lot of fun to have access to the whole camp for 3 days. The staff is experienced, can work with a lot of requests, and are generally just really nice people. For us it was definitely worth it. Read on if you want more details.

Our wedding was in September and we had about 160 guests total on the day of the wedding. We knew from the beginning that we were interested in making it a big weekend (including Friday and Sunday events), because northern NH is a long drive or flight for most of our friends and family. I admit that when my wife first mentioned getting married at a summer camp, I laughed and was a little nervous. What sold me though is the ability to have all these things:
    • Gorgeous, quiet lakeside ceremony spot on the beach
    • A number of large rain-out areas just in case (fortunately, we didn't need these)
    • Several classy buildings for hosting various events (cocktail hour, wedding party things, rehearsal dinner, breakfast, etc)
    • A delicious onsite barbecue on Friday night for 100 people in attendance
    • Cost effective lodging in onsite cabins for all those interested
    • Fun bonfires for the guests on both Friday and Saturday night
    • Support of various BYOB options
    • An experienced wedding team to guide you to the process and make things happen

Another note on our experience - we had contracted with Hobbs Tavern before we even found Camp Cody for the reception dinner and dancing. Cody can definitely handle the dinner themselves, but if you want to mix it up like we did it is possible if you are creative with the contract.

Any negatives? I will say we had some confusion over the schedule for the weekend early on, but I really think that was more due to a person leaving t
