  Allison Sayles and Sugar Pine Cakery provided the wedding cake and cupcakes for our daughter's wedding in Tahoe City.
  We enjoyed the variety of flavors, the decoration, and the delicious "couples cake" that topped the whole arrangement.
  
  Our daughter and her fiancé raved about the tasting and selection process. Our guests were dually pleased with the final results!

  We got married in July and Katie's Cakes did a fabulous job! We met with her and her staff a year ahead of time and worked with them throughout the year to get exactly what we wanted. They were competitive on price, very responsive both by email and phone, and were kind and helpful throughout the process. We had a cheesecake bar and a sculpted cake which turned out beautifully. Katie also decorated our cake table for us with decorations we left for her and our table turned out as adorable as I had hoped it would. We didn't get to taste the cake ourselves (as usually happens at one's wedding) but our guests said it was delicious! The samples we tasted at our tasting were also very delicious and moist. Thank you, Katie!

  Katie was amazing! I had requested a very odd cake, that I wanted to be a surprise to my husband, she made absolutely sure not to discuss any details with him and he was completely in awe over it. The cake tasted amazing, my guests were very complimentary about it. She was wonderful to work with.

  Amazing cake!! I had given Katie a picture of my dream wedding cake and tried not to get my hopes up because it had such an intricate design. It turned out beautifully and exceeded my expectations! The cake was one of the best tasting wedding cakes, if not the best, I have ever had! I was just disappointed that I wasn't hungry enough to eat more of it the night of our reception! I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary when we can unfreeze the top layer! I would definitely recommend Katie to anyone getting married in the Tahoe area!

  Thank you Rhonda!!!!! Our cake was soooo delicious and pretty. All my guests said it was one of the moistest, flavorful cake they had at a wedding. I was very happy with my selection of Red Velvet for my main and chocolate/ ganache as a sheet cake...yummy.

  Absolutely AMAZING wedding cake and desserts! We used Katie Cakes for our wedding at the River Ranch Lodge on 9/24/11 and we could not be happier with with our wedding cake, desserts and dessert stand. They were so sweet, they made us a custom dessert stand and it turned out great!

  Katie Cakes made our beautiful and YUMMY cake! We had Katie Cakes make our rehearsal dinner and wedding cake. All our guests were impressed. Rhonda and Katie were very helpful with various ideas of cake stand. Overall, they did a wonderful job. Thank you Katie Cakes!!

  Katie's Cakes were fantastic! The display was exactly what I wanted. Rhonda always got back to me within the next business day, and they worked with me to make sure everything was perfect. Plus what I did get to try of the cup cakes were awesome. You also can't beat the price. Love them!

  I can't say enough great things about Katie Cakes. When we first visited the shop (from out of town) they sat us down with the most amazing samples (seriously cute too) and were a breeze to work with. Then came my 40 emails to them, which they always answered super quick. They helped me plan a surprise grooms cake (Go BEARS) for the rehersal dinner, dealt with my frosting decision dilemmas and provided us the most beautiful yummy cake. It was exactly like the picture I provided and better tasting than anyone could have hoped for. It was a lovely experience working with them and we couldn't have been more pleased with our cake.

  We loved Katie Cakes so much that I wish she was related to us, so we could have her cake at every holiday ever. We set up a cake tasting a few months before the wedding, and all of the cake options were delicious. We chose chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and cream. We had brought in some pictures of cakes we liked, and she was able to adapt a design for us, and it turned out quite beautiful. All of the guests loved the cake - that is one of the comments I'm still getting even after several weeks -- "I loved the cake! Oh, and you looked good, too." ;) We did a three tier presentation cake and a sheet cake to feed 125 hungry people. The price was quite reasonable for a wedding cake (who would spend that much on cake for anything else?) I actually froze a few left over pieces, that I keep nibbling on. I love cake. Rhonda and Katie were both a pleasure to work with, very prompt at returning e-mails, and were very flexible - they allowed us to make changes to the cake even 10 days before the wedding.

  Katie's Cakes did a great job on our wedding cake and made it exactly to our specifications! It was beautiful and didn't have that traditional dry wedding cake taste. Very rarely do "pretty" and "delicious" come together so nicely. A+!

  Our three-tier wedding cheesecake was absolutely delicious--we received so many compliments on it! There were some hiccups in the organization of payments and details of our request, and the frosting on the cake wasn't completely covering it, but overall, our experience was excellent--thank you!
